"Girls!" The Professor called from the bottom of the stairs. "My trip ended sooner than I expected, so I'm home early!"

Blossom and Brick's eyes both shot open at the same time and they stared at each other, lying in Blossom's bed, eyes wide with fear. Her eyes darted to her watch and then to her closed bedroom door, listening as The Professor's footsteps grew dangerously close. Not wasting any more time, she floated out of bed and over to the door, locking it as quietly as she could manage, not wanting to alert him.

"Are you girls up?" He asked from the other side of the door. He paused while he checked his own watch. "It's nearly 11:00."

Blossom was internally panicking, trying to figure out how to get out of this sticky situation. "Good morning Professor! I'm up." She answered as inconspicuously as possible, given the circumstances. "Just getting changed." She sent a panicked look to Brick, who was still sitting in bed, not looking much less worried himself. Actually this was his worst nightmare, as she already knew, recalling his reluctance to even enter their home the previous day.. and that was when they were in a much less precarious situation.

"Are your sisters in there?" He asked, curiously.

Blossom pulled out her phone and sent a message to the girls' group chat:

911 The Professor came home early. Get to the store and pick up something for breakfast asap!

"No actually, they're headed to the store." She said, just as Bubbles (thank god) texted back and confirmed that her and Buttercup were leaving the boys house.

"Oh, okay then." He said, stepping away from the door and heading down the hall to his own room. "I'm going to quickly unpack my things. See you in a few, sweetie."

Once he was shut in his room, Blossom let out a sigh of relief, while Brick looked like he was too stunned to even breathe. Seeing how frightened he looked, Blossom felt her chest tighten. Now was hardly the time to be thinking about how utterly adorable he was, but she couldn't help it. She was beyond nervous herself, still trying to formulate a plan to get Brick out of the house and away from The Professor's watchful eye. Worrying about the repercussions of sneaking a boy into her room, instead of saving an entire city from a monster attack.. She had never felt so much like a normal teenage girl in all her life, as she did in that moment.

Suddenly she was so overcome by excitement and adrenaline that she found herself wanting Brick really badly. His long hair had been thrown into a bun and he was wearing only his boxers, covered in her thin sheet.

He was more than a little confused when her expression changed and she crawled across the bed and onto his lap. His eyes were so wide, they were threatening to bulge out of his head, which she found really cute. Glancing at her door one last time, she double checked that she did actually lock it, before lifting Brick's oversized t-shirt over her head.

"Blossom.. Your dad-" Her lips pressing into his cut him off. He was too stunned to kiss her back at first but that didn't last long. She was gorgeous, sitting on his lap and only wearing a tiny pair of panties. Very quickly, he found his hand tangled in her hair, as she pushed him back on her bed.

"It's too bad you have to leave so soon." Her voice was so unreasonably seductive, he was willing to risk everything in that moment, just to touch her for a while longer. The sly vixen.

"I don't have to leave yet.." He let his fingers trail over the crotch of her panties, which he now realized were wet with anticipation. They heard a noise come from down the hall and for a brief moment, chest heaving, she wondered what she had gotten herself into. Was the feeling of being normal worth possibly getting caught with her hand in the cookie jar? Her worry was quickly forgotten, however, when Brick pushed the lace of her panties to the side and dared a slow stroke across her bare flesh. He watched as her head tilted back, exposing her collarbone and listened to her breath hitch.

She felt him grow in between her thighs and caught up in the moment, she reached down, and began massaging him over his shorts. Though it had happened once before, it still came as a shock feeling her touch him, especially with The Professor just down the hallway. In a million years, he would never have expected this from Blossom. Weak from her touch, he could do little but accept what was being given to him. If he had to die, he would die happy.

With his calculated fingers gliding back and forth over her, she continued teasing him as well. These things were still so new to her. Every touch from him, sexual or otherwise, sent waves of pleasure through her. As badly as she wanted to keep going.. she knew that it was inappropriate. She silenced her whimpers in his neck. Her cool breath sent a frosty layer over his skin that his own hot temperature was quick to melt. Her mouth moved over his neck, leaving a few gentle kisses, before she returned to his lips.

"Sorry, I got carried away." She laughed nervously, giving him an apology kiss, while slowly removing her hand from his manhood.

He smiled through his internal groan. Knowing that her coming to her senses was much safer for the both of them. "No worries. That was.. not an unpleasant way to wake up."

"Yeah, you're definitely awake.." She sent a suggestive look at the tent pitched in his shorts.

Brick raised his own eyebrows, in mock surprise. "Blossom Utonium making dirty jokes.. tsk tsk. What would the people think?"

"You wouldn't live long enough to tell them." Blossom kissed him one last time, her threat lost in the sweetness of her tone.

With a renewed sense of purpose, he got out of bed and began shoving his things back into his backpack, at lightning speed. Once it was all packed, he picked up his bag and headed straight for her bedroom window, ready to be freed from the hell he found himself in. Every sound, magnetized from his super hearing, nearly stopping his heart.

All she could do was silently laugh for a moment. "Brick." She watched as he pushed it open, watching his face fall completely when he realized that it wouldn't budge past the halfway point. He turned to her with a look of pure distress playing on his face. She bit her lip nervously, "The Professor's idea.. Meant to stop boys from being able to get in." She admitted.

"Or out." His jaw fell open in disbelief. The Professor wasn't just a genius, he was an evil genius. For some reason Blossom didn't look nearly as worried as her poor counterpart did. "Are you telling me that I have to sneak out the front door?" He asked, dumbfounded.

She nodded. "It'll be fine, I promise."

"Easy for you to say. Your dad isn't likely to use Antidote X on you…" He half teased.

"I didn't think the leader of the notorious Rowdyruff Boys would be so quick to scare." She challenged.

Brick scoffed quietly, in protest, and the two of them moved to her bedroom door instead. She put her ear to the door to listen to The Professor's movements in the house. When she was sure that he was still in his room, she gestured for Brick to follow her out to the hall and very reluctantly he did. Once they left her room, Brick headed straight down the stairs, with Blossom following closely behind.

He could taste the freedom, almost feel the wind on his face as he dreamed of flying far away from Dr Utonium's death trap of a house… possibly never to return.. But his near freedom was ripped away once again.

"So did you girls have a nice night?" The Professor's footsteps could be heard on the carpeted hall floors, inching closer to them.

With little time to think, Blossom realized the front door was locked and would be way too conspicuous. She urged Brick to move faster, stopping him before he could make it to the door. The Professor was at the top of the stairs, just out of sight.

"Sorry." She mouthed to Brick, pulling the pantry door open and silently shoving him inside. He didn't know whether to be annoyed or grateful, but that would have to wait.

"Yes, it was.. an interesting night." She smiled, "You know, sisterly bonding and everything." Not a total lie..

He joined her in the kitchen, reaching for his takeout coffee cup and taking a long drink, before exhaling warmly. "I'm so glad that the three of you still spend so much time together.. I have to admit, I was a little worried when those boys came back to town." Blossom bit her lip, not allowing her eyes to travel back to the closet door. "I thought that things would go back to the way they were before.. fighting all the time, and that you girls might end up arguing because of it. I don't know.."

"There's no need to worry about that now Professor." Blossom assumed him. "They've been pretty well behaved, after all."

"They certainly have. Those boys.. they're not so bad. Well.. I can't say for sure since I've only actually met Butch. That reminds me, I really need to meet Boomer. Can't have my little girl cozying up to a young man that I haven't met."

Blossom loved The Professor but he was very talkative when he had too much sugar in his coffee.. and now really wasn't the best time. Scared that he might say something embarrassing, she was desperate for a subject change. "Anyway, how was your work thing? I can't wait to hear all the details."

He raised an almost suspicious eyebrow at her sudden topic change. It was unlike his daughter, unless she was trying to avoid something. As a dad, he needed to pry. "Blossom, is there a reason you're trying to avoid talking about the Jojos?"

She almost choked on her saliva, eyes wide. "What?! No! I'm not avoiding anything, I could talk about them all day!" She offered in challenge, not registering what she was saying until it was too late and the embarrassment graced her cheeks with a pink hue. She could have sworn she heard a snicker come from the pantry.

"Is that so?" The Professor asked, hand to his chin in thought.

"Well-"

"You know, with Buttercup and Bubbles both taking things a step further with their counterparts.. it might not be a bad idea for me to just go ahead and meet Brick too. Maybe we should invite him to dinner with Boomer."

Blossom was visibly distressed, but he wasn't paying attention, probably already planning meals.

"What- I don't really think- There's no way he would come to something like that." She stammered, wondering what Brick was possibly thinking listening to their conversation.

"Oh?"

"Besides, it's true that me and Brick.. get along occasionally… but that's all it is."

He seemed a little taken aback. "Okay sweetheart, I guess I just thought that maybe there was something more going on."

"Nothing worth mentioning." She smiled through grit teeth. There was definitely nothing about her and Brick's "relationship" that would ever be disclosed. If by some miracle they ever did end up together then of course she would be happy to tell The Professor. But whatever was going on between them currently.. hell no. And there was no way she was going to admit to liking him while he was trapped in the closet. She really needed to get him out.

Finally, the sky opened up and the gods blessed her by sending in some help. Bubbles came bouncing in the door, followed by a smirking Buttercup. Both girls were carrying paper shopping bags.

"Professor!" The blonde chirped, quickly setting her bags on the island and nearly tackling him for a hug. "Did you have an amazing trip?"

While Bubbles was unknowingly acting as her distraction, Blossom went to Buttercup's side to "help her with the bags" psh. Okay. "Help! We need to get The Professor out of the kitchen asap." She whisper screamed, thankful that Bubbles was so loud.

Buttercup let Blossom take the bags. "Where is he?" Her smug expression causing Blossom to roll her annoyed pink eyes. Honestly, what was this whole morning? This is what she got for trying to be a normal girl.

Blossom tried to pretend like she didn't know what her sister was talking about, but Buttercup was far from stupid. She might not be book smart, but in many ways she was light-years smarter than the other two. She waited, until Blossom finally cracked, nodding her head to the pantry.

The green puff fought the urge to laugh out loud. In a strange twist of fate, it was Blossom and not her, that was caught up in a situation that was straight out of a movie. Wasn't life funny?

Now normally Blossom was the plan marker. She led them into battle thousands of times, she certainly had the experience. But this conflict was hitting too close to home.. way too close, causing her mind to blank instead. Luckily for her, Buttercup had already thought of a great excuse to get him out of the kitchen.

Bubbles sent her sisters a playful eye roll just as The Professor finished talking about why his trip was cut short. Did they forget she had super hearing? They weren't being all that discreet, good thing their dad was kind of oblivious. "Professor, would you mind helping me with something in the lab before breakfast?" She didn't wait for his response, already floating to the basement door. "We're having biscuits and gravy."

That was his favorite breakfast, so he was practically salivating, as he followed his daughter to the lab. "What is it you need help with sweetie?"

They disappeared down the stairs, with the door closing behind them and Blossom sighed in relief.

"What the hell?! I had a really good plan!" Buttercup complained, but was still impressed that Bubbles had stepped in and taken control.

Blossom went to the closet immediately and whipped open the door to find Brick with his hand buried in a box of Cheez-its. "Sorry about… that." She felt a little awkward about what The Professor had said. Why did he have to choose today to be more embarrassing than usual?

He was still holding the box of crackers when he stepped out, eager to make his escape.

"Finally out of the closet, huh Brick?" Buttercup nudged him in the arm, laughing at her own joke, like always. Nobody appreciated her humor as much as she did.. well, except for Butch.

Brick shook his head with an amused smile and Blossom scoffed. It was so not the time for jokes. "I'm taking these." He said, tapping on the side of the box. "Call it a tax." He dug out another handful and threw them in his mouth, nodding his goodbye to Buttercup on his way out.

Unfortunately for Blossom, there was no time for a proper goodbye. Once Brick was free, all he said was, "See ya." Before zipping into the sky.

He didn't know if there was any point trying to act like he had been home all night, still Brick went through his window anyway, if not just to unlock his bedroom door. He wanted to be alone for a while anyway, and hoped his brothers would take his shut door as a hint.

Spending a few minutes waiting in a pantry was hardly a reason to be upset. It was the conversation that he'd been forced to eavesdrop on that he found unsettling.

"Nothing worth mentioning."

That's how Blossom felt about him? That's how she described him to her dad?

After the last couple days they spent together.. he just… thought things would be different.

When Butch woke up that Sunday afternoon, his beautiful Buttercup was already gone. He must've been really tired, to sleep through her movements.

The night before had been a rollercoaster. That was for sure. The party, and

the girls' fight with The Punks all faded to the background, unimportant. Buttercup's mouth… her unmatched skill… The girl was unreal.

For a few minutes his mind wandered, replaying the scene over and over as he still lay in bed, too happy to even move. He didn't know if it was because he loved her, or if she was really just that good.. but that was the best blow job of his life. Hands down. He picked up his phone, wondering why she snuck out so early. She always slept in, and it's not like The Professor would be home to worry about where she was. He had no texts from her and she hadn't been on social media. Then a terrifying thought crossed his mind, one that made him feel almost sick in the depths of his stomach. Did she regret what happened between them? Did she wake up that morning disgusted with him for allowing it to happen and decide to leave him?

Butch was no pussy. He would just text her and see what was up. Simple as that. He wasn't just going to jump to conclusions and start assuming things. His heart was still pounding, but he let out a deep breath, trying to calm down.

Good morning gorgeous. Why aren't you in my bed?

There. Now if she would just hurry up and reply..

Okay.. now Butch was starting to panic. How many hours had it been since he texted her? Three? Four?

He had been in a shit mood all day, going back and forth between emotions. His brothers had watched him sulking on the couch for hours, checking his phone and huffing out loud every few minutes. They each tried asking him what was wrong but he shut them out. What was he supposed to say? My girlfriend got wasted last night and blew me for the first time and now she hates me. ? Instead he chose to shrug them off, like he didn't know what they were talking about, like he was actually fine. This wasn't the kind of thing to involve them in, it was personal.. between him and Buttercup… if she would ever talk to him again.

Buttercup, I'm really sorry. Please call me. Or come over??

When the realization hit him that he had royally fucked up, he couldn't control his rage. He was furious with himself. He had nearly punched another hole in the living room wall, before Brick grabbed his fist, preventing the damage.

"Look, you don't have to tell me what's got you so upset." Brick started, warning in his tone. "But you can't just bottle it up. You're about to explode."

"Yeah dude, don't take it out on our poor house." Boomer chuckled. He was in far too good of a mood to let anything kill it, including Butch's issues.

Butch yanked away from Bricks grip and rubbed his face roughly, groaning.

Brick knew exactly what his brother needed, and honestly, it might help him with his own shit too. While Butch was standing there, glaring at nothing, he punched him dead in the face. Butch was stunned for a second, obviously not expecting to be sucker punched by his brother. When he saw Brick's cocky smirk, he only grew angrier. All of the frustration and regret building inside of him was bubbling to the surface, ready to boil over. Before he could hit back, Brick took off, leaving only his irritating red streak behind. Butch was hot on his trail, being the fastest flyer.

Brick lured him high into the sky, ready to take a mean beating. He dodged a few punches, making the green ruff even angrier before he finally landed a hard uppercut that sent Brick flying higher. His knuckles tingled with the familiar sensation of power and he caught his brother again, firing another round of blows. Brick's own adrenaline, backed by his own crappy mood kicked in too. He grabbed onto Butch's shoulders and kneed him in the stomach, causing him to fall through the air. Brick shot into him full force, knocking him to the ground, tearing up the grass in their yard.

"Aye! Take it somewhere else!" Boomer yelled, shaking his fist from the front door.

Even through his own anger, Brick knew that Boomer was right. He didn't want their own shit getting messed up, but anything else was fair game. He lifted Butch by his collar, dragging him back into the air and away from their house, to a nearby forest. Butch broke free just in time to slam him into a tree, which uprooted and fell over from the force. Butch grabbed it by the trunk and swung it into Brick's stomach, tearing his shirt in the process. Butch tore his own off, with a smug look on his face and readied himself for his brothers next attack. He was starting to feel really good. Using his powers and not having to hold back always had this effect on him. It had been a while, far too long. Brick felt it too. The power coursing through their veins, urging them to keep fighting, to release their stored energy.

"Come on then." Butch challenged, from his fighting stance.

Brick charged at him, for once not formulating a plan of attack. He just went for it, sending his laser beams slashing across his brother's chest. Butch cried out from the pain with a wicked smile and put up his shield just as Brick was about to slam into him. The leader hit the barrier and went flying back, crashing into another tree. Butch gave him no time, he was on top of him, his right and left fists taking turns against Brick's face. When he grabbed his hat and tossed it to the ground, it was over.

"How many times do I have to warn you not to touch my fucking hat." Brick gripped tightly onto Butch's neck, standing up taking Butch with him. He slammed him into the ground, fire sparking to life from his eyes, he was gonna have to teach the little shit a lesson.

A punch to the side of the head, confused him, causing him to drop Butch and fall to the ground next to him. "That's enough." Boomer said, tossing the red cap back to Brick. He folded his arms over his chest, with a happy smile.

Brick and Butch both broke out in a rumbling laughter, lying on the ground to catch their breaths. Almost a dozen trees had been ripped from the ground and were scattered all around them. Whatever, they didn't give a shit.

When the three of them got home, they plopped down on the sofas. Two of them covered in sweat and grime, not caring in the slightest, while the third looked disgusted. "You could at least shower." Boomer scoffed.

"Good idea." Brick floated to his room. "Order some food, wll ya?" He tossed his wallet to his blue brother before shutting his bedroom door behind him.

Butch hopped in the shower too, finally feeling better, having let out so much of his stress. Afterwards he reluctantly checked his phone again, still no reply. He might look pathetic but he didn't care. He just wanted to apologize.

I'm scum. I shouldn't have taken advantage of you while you were drunk. Please just message me back.

He might not be pissed off anymore but he was still really upset. He had hurt the woman he loved. He was glad that he at least had good enough sense to turn down the sex. It was really hard, but he didn't want her first time to be ruined like that. Buttercup wasn't into romance, she didn't want anything sappy like candles and slow music, but he at least wanted her to be able to remember it. To be able to agree to it while she was in her right mind. And at the very least, he didn't want it to be in an abandoned building, in a shitty town.

But he had still messed up.. He gave into the temptation and accepted a blow job. That was still technically sex right? Oral sex. Did girls care about that kind of thing? Did Buttercup? She seemed willing, obviously since she had initiated and said she wanted to.. but it was his job as her boyfriend, to take care of her, and he failed. He was selfish and gave into his own wants, he put himself before her.

She didn't deserve a guy like him.. she deserved so much better.

Since The Professor made it home so early that day, he had some free time and decided to take the girls somewhere. It was their last day of Thanksgiving break, tomorrow they'd be headed back to school and he'd hardly gotten a chance to see them. His little girls were growing up so fast, soon they'd be out of highschool and possibly out of Townsville.. Well, let's just say he was feeling sentimental that day. Anyway he drove them out of Townsville, a few cities over, to spend the day with them.

Bubbles sat up front, chatting away with him the entire drive, while Blossom and Buttercup took a nap in the backseat.

The hour and half drive gave the girls plenty of time to recuperate. Blossom woke up feeling refreshed and happy, as usual. But buttercup, not so much.

Bubbles was practically shaking with excitement when they pulled into the parking lot of a giant, busting mall. A mall that she had never been to. While most people in her generation were happier online shopping, she most certainly was not. She never really understood the hype. Sure there were more shops online, and more clothing options, but it was always a toss up whether you would actually like them or not. You might find better deals, but then you'd have to wait for shipping and by the time you got your package, some things didn't fit and some things looked different than the photos. Then nobody ever wanted to actually go through the hassle of returning things.. no thank you. Shopping in person, trying things on, guaranteed that you left with something that fit, you knew exactly what you were getting and it was perfect. To her anyway. She finished the rant inside her head, and jumped out of the car squealing.

"I know Christmas is coming up soon, but I just closed a pretty big deal." The Professor started, walking alongside his girls, into the mall front. "And well, I just wanted to treat you girls. I'm so proud of all of you.." There was a lot more that he wanted to say, but he was already starting to choke up and so was Bubbles, so he cut himself short. He cleared his throat and the four of them entered the food court. He handed each of them an envelope and smiled warmly as they each tried to deny the gift. They really were his perfect little girls.

"Professor, you really didn't have to.." Blossom tucked some loose hair behind her ear, looking at the ground. She never knew how to react when he got this way.

He pulled the three of them in for a hug, "Nonsense. Anyway I'm going to be at the bookstore, we have a dinner reservation at 5pm so don't fill up on junk." He looked pointedly at Buttercup.

"Yeah yeah, okay. I won't." She laughed.

The girls thanked him, parting ways with him, and began wandering through the mall. Once they were a good ways away, Buttercup and Bubbles tore into their envelopes, excited to see how much they got. Blossom rolled her eyes, and tucked her own envelope into her little side bag without even opening it. She didn't need anything right now, and would be saving her money.

"Sweet!" Buttercup exclaimed, eyeing her share of the cash.

"Whoa that's like.. $250!" Bubbles eyes were wide with possibility.

"You girls really should try and save some of it." Blossom began, "I'm not trying to be bossy, I'm just saying. We're almost adults, now is a really good time to start preparing for the responsibilities-"

Buttercup had already grabbed Bubbles hand and pulled her away from the lecture that Blossom was spiraling into. No way was she going to spend the last day of break listening to that.

Bubbles was all too happy to be rescued. Sometimes even heroes needed saving..

"So what are you getting with your cut?" Buttercup asked, glancing around the mall to find a good shop to start in. "Nevermind. Let me guess, clothes?"

"And shoes!"

Buttercup scoffed. "Well I'm gonna check out the used games and music."

The two of them split up, having complete opposite tastes in nearly everything. Bubbles kept walking, ducking into a random clothing store when she was almost spotted by her auburn haired sister. She would meet back up with her in a bit, but for now she really wanted to find something cute to wear. Now that she had a boyfriend, clothes were more important than ever, because looking good was more important than ever.

She didn't even know what store she was in until she checked a tag on a random sweater. Some place she had never been before, not something they had in Townsville.

"Can I help you find something?" A cheerful brunette walked up, ready to help, or just meet her quota for the day.

"Oh, I'm just looking." She smiled back.

After browsing for a few minutes, she found a cute top that she just had to try on, followed by a pair of dark blue skinny jeans. By the time she actually made it to the dressing room, her arms were full of adorable things.

Once inside the privacy of her small room, she stripped down to her underwear and tried on her first outfit. She spun around in the mirror, checking her body out in different angles. She loved the jeans, the first top was a maybe. She repeated the action a few times until she had decided on the jeans, a dress and two shirts. There went $90. Oops.

Admittedly, it had taken Blossom a second to realize that her sisters ditched her. Shocker. She wondered how long she had spent talking to herself.. no wonder she had received so many strange looks. Those two.. ugh!

There wasn't anything in particular that she wanted, but she was already there so it wouldn't hurt to look around. It'd be awfully boring to sit around and wait for hours to pass anyway.

She found herself in a shop that sold all kinds of unique baking items. Of course that's not all they sold, but it's all she was paying attention to. There were utensils and cookware, as well as a huge selection of cookbooks and recipes. What caught her eye though, was the shelves full of hard to find flours and seasonings and an impressive array of baking decorations. This place had everything, gluten free, and keto options, the works. Blossom was in heaven. Christmas was another big food holiday and she would definitely be baking some more pies, not to mention cookies and whatever else she decided at the last minute. There was still a while left, but she was already there.. and The Professor would be a little disheartened if she didn't at least buy something.

She left the store with a full bag of baking supplies and a huge smile.

Bubbles didn't find any more clothes, but she did find a super cute pair of winter boots. They were black and fuzzy with little fluff balls hanging down and the best part was, they were on sale! She had scored them for only $50. She was so happy with her purchases, she spent all of dinner talking about what she got and then in the beginning of the car ride home, she showed them to The Professor. He had done his best to pay attention to her while he kept his eyes carefully on the road. Now she had a new outfit for the first day back at school and she was beyond thrilled.

Blossom had only spent a fifth of her own money. Leaving the mall with her baking stuff as well as a $10 shirt that she found on clearance. overall she was happy with her finds, and even happier to have the majority of her money to add to her savings.

Even The Professor had bought a few books to add to his ever growing collection and had a huge smile plastered to his face, listening to Blossom and Bubbles talk about what they got.

The only one in the car who didn't look as happy, though she was trying her best to hide it, was Buttercup. That's not to say that she didn't have a really good time with her family. She did. They didn't spend time together like that often but when they did she was usually happy to participate.

She had a bag full of used cds, a couple of movies and of course, some goodies from one of the candy shops. Dinner had been amazing. She ate four courses and was stuffed. But the whole day something had felt off.

When Bubbles had gotten Blossom's 911 text that morning and ran into Butch's room to wake her, the two of them had left in a flash. Butch had been completely passed out, unmoving when she left, so she didn't get to say goodbye. Was he mad at her for some reason? She really couldn't see him getting upset about something as trivial as her not saying goodbye.. but he wasn't replying to her messages.. So what else could it be? If he was doing something today then he probably would have mentioned it, since they spent the entire day before together.

Everything had been wonderful the previous night. She closed her eyes, relaxing against the window on the drive home, never fully sleeping. She just thought about Butch and brainstormed ridiculous scenerios that would've prevented him from responding for so many hours.

Once they were back home, The Professor ended his night early, deciding to head to bed promptly at 8pm. He had to get up really early for work, so the girls didn't judge. Blossom double checked the homework assignments that she'd completed the first day of break.. just to make sure. And Bubbles was laying on her bed, giggling to Boomer over the phone. Buttercup restarted her phone, and while that was powering back up, she jumped in the shower to unwind.

It wasn't until after she started washing her hair, that she heard her phone vibrating over and over against the counter, indicating that she had a bunch of notifications. Did Butch finally decide to give her the time of day? He obviously wasn't worried about talking to her.. He clearly didn't miss her at all, if he was just now replying. All day she had been dying to hear from him, but the more time that passed, the more annoyed she got. The less important she felt. She knew it was petty, superficial to even care about these kinds of things, but she couldn't help it. She was too stubborn for her own good, so she decided to finish her shower, instead of jumping out immediately to check her phone.. like she really wanted to.

When she was out, she wasted no time, her curiosity was calling and she needed to answer.

She had five texts from Butch, and 3 missed calls. She ignored everything else that had popped up.

Butch: Good morning gorgeous. Why aren't you in my bed?

Butch: Buttercup, I'm really sorry. Please call me. or come over??

Butch: I'm scum. I shouldn't have taken advantage of you while you were drunk. Please just message me back.

Butch: Please I love you

Butch: …

Both her stomach and her jaw practically hit the floor. What the hell! She re-read his messages, each time feeling sicker and sicker. She was confused on so many levels.. had none of her texts gone through? They showed that they had. She must've had like no signal all day or something. Her sisters never complained about it though..

Butch really thought that she was mad about last night??

She knew how 'in his head' he could get, since she was the exact same way. She realized at that point that she had begun jumping to conclusions too.. it had been like nine hours since she'd left his house and normally they would be texting for the better part of the day when they weren't together. Of course he would be making assumptions when he thought she hadn't replied for that long..

She quickly dressed, not paying attention to what she threw on at all, and sped to the boys house without a word to her sisters.

Since it was the middle of the night and nobody was expecting her, she did actually knock and wait to be let in. This was a Rowdyruff house after all, she wasn't stupid enough to go barging in out of nowhere.

Boomer lowered his phone and let her in, his confusion turning into a smile. "He's pouting in his room." Brick waved from the couch, as she headed for Butch's room. She briefly wondered if they knew why Butch was 'pouting' but she assumed they didn't. He wasn't really one to open up like that, even to his brothers.

She could hear music playing on the other side of his door, and knocked lightly, just in case. When he didn't answer, she walked in anyway, catching the pillow that was launched at whoever dared to open his door.

"You idiot. What did you expect to accomplish throwing a pillow at a superhuman?" She closed the door behind her and he jumped off his bed as soon as he realized it was her and not one of his brothers.

He had a blunt in his hand, it smelled like he'd been smoking nonstop all day.

"Buttercup, what the hell?" Butch was dumbfounded to see her suddenly appear after ignoring him all day. "I thought-"

"I know what you thought, you dumbass." She threw the pillow back at him, he just let it smack him in the head and fall to the ground. The way he was looking at her hurt her heart. She knew that he had a rough day, trapped inside his mind, and she just wanted him to know that everything was okay. She closed the distance between them, taking the blunt into her own hand, and pulled him onto the bed. "This whole day has been a misunderstanding." His brows furrowed. "We've both been texting each other all day. But I guess I had no signal and they didn't go through." She took a deep breath. "I just got all of yours at once, when I restarted my phone."

"You're saying you had no signal all day long?" He asked skeptically.

She took a long hit of the weed, ready to clear her mind for a while, after the long day she'd had. "We were a few towns over, just got home." She exhaled and passed the blunt back to him. "I never got any of your texts, I thought… maybe you just didn't wanna talk to me." Her voice got quieter towards the end of her sentence, a little embarrassed.

"Are you kidding? That's stupid. I always wanna talk to you!"

"Well you thought I wanted to what.. breakup? Because I regretted giving you a… you know."

He scoffed. "No. I thought you might want nothing to do with me because I'm a shit boyfriend."

"No you're fucking not." She punched his shoulder, much harder than she normally would. "Cut that shit out." He mumbled something that even she couldn't understand. "Butch I don't regret anything that happened last night." Two shades of green eyes met, staring at each other silently for a moment. "I wouldn't have regretted it if we had sex either, just so you know." She smirked.

"But you were drunk.."

"Yeah.. But like I said last night, I love you." She didn't blush or look away when she said it because she wasn't embarrassed or ashamed. She was happy, dumb and in love. The way Butch's eyes lit up when she told him, only made her fall harder. "The fact that you care that I was drunk proves that you're not a 'shit' boyfriend."

He fell against the bed, letting out a deep breath and staring up at the ceiling. He passed her the blunt and she took another hit before lying on his chest.

"You know, I do love you Buttercup."

"Yeah I know." She said quietly. "That's how I know I wouldn't have regretted anything."

He kissed the side of her head, her hair was wet and it smelled like tea tree oil. "It's been a really shitty day." He murmured into her hair.

"That's what you get for assuming shit." She laughed. She could feel the high kicking in, causing her to grin stupidly as she lay there.

"You know, we could always try again.." His mind had moved on to other things, breathing in her enticing scent and letting his hand glide gently over her body.

She rolled over to face him, "Idunno. I got completely rejected last night.. Might be a looooong time before my bruised ego heals." She kissed him, for the first time that day and all the uncertainty and stress of the last few hours vanished.

Now that they had talked, the whole thing seemed so silly.

Bubbles was sprawled out sideways on her bed, kicking her bunny slippered feet back and forth in the air while she giggled to Boomer. Her phone was sitting on her bedside table, propped up by the stand built into her case. Thank God she had splurged and gotten the phone case with the kickstand, she was definitely getting her money's worth. She had been video chatting with Boomer for hours, ever since she got home that evening. It had quickly become routine for the two to spend all of their time together, even when they weren't together.

"So is Buttercup over there?" Bubbles asked.

When her sister suddenly disappeared, her and Blossom had just assumed she went to see Butch. Those two were inseparable and very very cute, if she did say so herself. And she did, often.

Herself and Boomer ending up together was a surprise, sure, but definitely not as much as Buttercup finding her perfect match. Now that Blossom and Brick were starting to make progress, all three girls could be loved up together! Eek. She was so excited!

"Yeah she's here, thank god."

Thank God? "Something I should know about?" She teased, with a raised eyebrow.

Boomer shook his head, with a laugh. "Butch was in a shit mood all day until she came over." He explained. "Him and Brick even had to fight it out in the backyard earlier to help him unwind."

"Really? Like they actually fought?!"

"Wouldn't be the first time." He admitted.

Bubbles gasped, "I don't think I could ever fight with my sisters. I mean.. not like that."

"That's because you're too sweet."

"I don't think I'm all that sweet.." She giggled, drawing circles on her converter with her finger.

Boomer smirked into the hood of his jacket. "Trust me, you are."

There was a flirtatious hint in his tone that was so sexy.. not to mention that look he was giving her… She did her best to match it. "How so?"

"Well… let's just say.. I've tasted you. So I think I would know."

"Oh? My lips?" She teased, in a ridiculously sultry voice.

"Yeah, your lips." He confirmed, "The ones between your thighs..." His mind clouded over, thinking about how he ate her out at the party.. and how much he liked it.. how much she liked it. Once he found out just how perverted his angel actually was, it was easy to let his own sexual side out too.

"Mmm Boomer." She bit her lip, trailing her fingers lightly across the tops of her cleavage, that were visibly poking out of her low cut tank top.

He swallowed, bringing his phone closer to his face so he could get a better view. Jesus, she was beautiful. Her body was unbelievable. How on earth he had ended up so lucky was behind him. This girl was...

"I think you're starting to make me we-"

Blossom walked into their bedroom, joining her suddenly and Bubbles shot up. Her heart was pounding out of her chest, nervously, and she hoped that her sister hadn't heard what she was saying. How embarrassing would that be? "Hey.. Bloss."

"Hey, oh are you still talking to Boomer? I was just getting really tired." Blossom sat on the edge of her own bed, and caught a glimpse of said boy, waving from her sister's screen. "Nevermind. Hi Boomer." She yawned.

"I was just about to say goodnight." Bubbles lied, scooping up her phone and turning off the camera, so that he couldn't see her anymore. She put the phone to her ear and left the room, floating downstairs to finish their conversation in private.

"I hate when it's time to say goodnight." Boomer pouted.

"I reeeaally don't want to." She told him. "But I'll see you at school in the morning."

"I wish you were seeing me right now."

She plopped down on the couch, thinking of how badly she wished she could be cuddled up with him. "I wish I was too."

"Why can't you? Your sister's here."

She pulled her phone away from her ear to check the time. "My sister is gonna miss curfew if she doesn't leave in like the next two minutes."

"Buttercup! Better get your ass home!" Boomer shouted from his end of the phone.

Bubbles' laugh turned into a long yawn. It was past her bedtime, but she was always willing to risk some of her sleep if it meant she could keep talking to him. But tomorrow was the first day back after Thanksgiving break and she wasn't used to waking up that early anymore, so she really needed to get to bed. "Okay Boomie, I should probably get my beauty rest."

"Trust me you don't need any." He assured her. "You're already the most beautiful girl in the entire world."

"Oh stop!" She giggled.

Just then Buttercup flew through the front door, grinning, because she made it back in time. "Aye. Tell your man thanks for the heads up." She locked the door behind her.

She pulled the phone away from her mouth and covered it with her hand, attempting to be discreet. "Too distracted to notice the time, huh?" She teased.

"Something like that." Buttercup smirked on her way up to bed.

"Sorry about that, Boomie!" She apologized.

Ten minutes or so later, they finally finished their "goodnights" and "I miss yous" and actually ended the call.
