"I'm impressed I didn't think the people of Mar had enough fighting spirit to muster a fighting force this big."
"Yes Phantom, it's quite surprising. It looks like a few dozen people have ban together under the name of the Cross Guard." Says the spirit of the king from within Phantom's weapon.
It's been a week since the announcement of the war for the fate of Mar Haven. Nathan and the rest of the Demon Pirates had spent the rest of the week using the training gate to get stronger.
"Phantom sir, it seems like all the people willing to fight are here!" Petra says coming up behind the number one knight.
"Very well," Phantom says as he pulls out a dimension ÄRM. A large screen appears above the balcony he is standing on." I welcome you all to Castle Rosendale and to the first official war games. My name is Phantom and I am the strongest fighter of the Chess no Koma. I'm pleased to see that so many of you are willing to fight for the sake of your home, this will make these war games quite the entertaining experience."
With that Phantom disappears from the screen and in his place is a small purple humanoid. "Welcome to the War Games, I am your referee Pozun. All battles will be determined by the roll of the dice, one dice to determine the number of participants from each side and another to determine the field of battle. The rules are simple: each team will select a captain, and the dice will determine the number of participants the captain can bring with him into battle. All fighters who win a fight will advance to the next round, regardless of whether their team loses or not. However if the captain loses the whole team loses."
A giant set of dice out of thin air, and drop to the ground. One is blue while the other is red. " The red dice determines the playing field, as the blue dice determines the number of combatants." Says the little purple ogre as the screen disappears and the ogre reappears in front of the dice.
"It looks like the first battle will be the rocky plains and we will have 3 combatants including the captain. Teams please select your captain and your combatants and tell me when your decision is final."
When both sides had selected their captain and fighters, the little purple ogre uses a dimension ÄRM to teleport both teams to the playing field. The cross guard side consisted of a girl with bright green hair and red eyes, a man with brown hair and teal colored eyes, and lastly a man with black hair and yellow eyes.
On the Chess side was Perona and a brother and sister team that used Fire and Ice ÄRM. The sister has white hair hair and red eyes, and is the ice user. The fire using, older brother has red hair and bright eyes that are almost pure white.
The little purple ogre announces on a loudspeaker created by a dimension ÄRM. " On the side of the Chess no Koma, we have pawns Perona, Kaen, Yuki and on the Cross Guard side we have Liliana, Kuro and Akito. Battle one round one begin combatants please select your first fighter. "
The Chess fighter to step up is the older brother Kaen," let's go! Time to turn up the heat."
"Great my first fight for the defense of Mar Haven and I have to go up against a stupid fire user." Says the guy with black a hair and yellow eyes, as he steps forward. "
The purple ogre speaks up, " very well, the first match up is Kaen of the Chess no Koma versus Kuro of the Cross Guard. Ready… start!
"Weapon ÄRM: Fire whips!" Yells Kaen as his rings turn into flaming whips.
"This is so annoying." Kuro says in a low monotone, as he grabs the bird shaped pendant around his neck." Guardian ÄRM: Giant Raven!"
Kean immediately starts swinging fire whips around, as the giant bird takes to the sky. The bird tries to dodge but the whips are too fast. The bird is grabbed by the whips and smashed to the ground, then it's immediately thrown at Kuro. He quickly unsummons the giant bird before it hits him.
" Man, that sucks. I hate that I have put in actual work now, " he says as he activates a ring ÄRM on his hand. " Weapon ÄRM: Twin Sai."
Two little fork-like Weapons appear in his hands as he charges straight at Kaen. The fire whip user lashes out at Kuro, but he gracefully dodges, as he catches one of the one of the whips in between the prongs of the sai.
He rips the whip from Kaen's hand, he tries to lash out the other whip only for the same thing to happen. With Kaen weapons taken, Kuro moves In and smacks him on the top of the head with the handle of the sai knocking him out.
" Round one match one: winner Kuro of the Cross Guard." Comes the voice of the purple ogre." Combatants please choose your next fighters."
The girl with red eyes and pure white hair steps forward from the Chess side, as the girl with bright green hair and red eyes steps forward on the Cross Guard side. Round one match two Liliana of the Cross Guard versus Yuki of Chess no Koma
Yuki starts by immediately firing off a ray of ice from her hands. Liliana simply sidesteps it as she activates her ÄRM. "Weapon ÄRM: Claymore!"
Yuki doesn't relent and keeps firing off beams of ice at Liliana. She continues to dodge as she moves closer to the ice user. Yuki stops Liliana's in her tracks by freezing her legs in place. She tries firing off more ice beams but Liliana blocks with a wall of water.
Yuki activates a pendant that's around her neck. " Weapon ÄRM: Ice Whips!" She yells as she moves to just within range of the whips. Liliana stabs the blade into the ground. " If you want long range; I can give you long range!"
The rings that Liliana has on each of her ring fingers start to glow as she puts her hands together, "Hydroelectric Canon!"
As Liliana yells, a large beam of electrified water shoots straight at Yuki. She hits the whip against the water causing it to freeze. Before the stream of water is completely frozen, she diverts the water and severs it from the current that is freezing. She sends the current straight back at Yuki once again.
This continues for a few more minutes as the water attack moves closer and closer to Yuki. "Is this all you got!?" Yuki yells as her opponent bursts out laughing. This confuses the ice user oh, why was her opponent laughing at her she clearly had the advantage. "What's so funny bitch?"
"You've lost!!"
"I beg your pardon, but are you fucked in the head!? I have a clear advantage."
"That's what you think! Now with my next attack, it's checkmate." Liliana says, grabbing her Claymore and channeling electricity into it. She lifts it up only a couple of inches and then stabs it back into the ground. Yuki stares at her for a sec, as she watches the electricity move across the ground.
She looks down and notices that she is standing about 5 centimeters of water that she hadn't noticed before. She tries to jump out of the way but can't react fast enough, as a jolt of lightning shoots through her body. The attack causes her to fall unconscious, as she collapses to the ground.
"Round one, match two: Winner Liliana of the Cross Guard." Comes the voice of the purple ogre. May the final two combatants please step forward."
"Horohorohoro! You might have beaten my teammates but will prove much tougher. Perona says as she floats onto the battlefield, after the unconscious body of her teammate is teleported away.
"Wow I was hoping my opponent wouldn't be a girl but there's nothing I can do about it now. As much as I hate to harm that beautiful body of yours, I have no choice. Forgive me!" Akito says as he steps onto the battlefield giving his opponent a slight bow.
"Round one, match three: Perona, Rook of the Chess no Koma versus Akito of the Cross Guard. Ready… start!"
Perona immediately fires a ghost in the direction of Akito. He simply dodges by jumping over the ghost. "Weapon ÄRM: Shuriken."
Akito precedes to throw shuriken Perona from the air, he falls back to the ground. He lands on his feet but as he does he immediately collapses to the ground. "What's the point of trying to win this battle? I know I'm going to lose, so why even try to fight?"
Horohorohoro! That's right, you worthless bastard give into your negative emotions."
Akito regains his composure and a slightly puzzled look on his face. "What kind of ÄRM is that? Is it some kind of guardian ÄRM with the power of a Darkness ÄRM?"
"Horohorohoro! I'm not telling!" She says as she sent out a much larger ghost the size of a small Boulder. Akito moves again as the ghost approaches. He jumps trying to avoid this one once again as he tumbles in the air tuning as he anticipates the ghost hitting him in the back. That when he was hit by a force of energy from below him causing him to take some damage and fall to the ground.
"They explode too! Fine, Weapon ÄRM: Wakizashi!" He yells charging at the ghost girl.
He runs at her as she laughs, " Horohorohoro!"
Akito slashes at her with the wakizashi, but the blade passes right through her, causing him to fall face first onto the ground." Horohorohoro! Give up yet!"
"Never! Akito yells in reply as he jumps to his feet.
He is immediately blasted with a another exploding ghost." Horohorohoro! You can't kill me I'm invincible.Negative Hollow! She yells shooting out another ghost which once again brings him to his knees.
He is immediately blasted directly afterwards with another giant exploding ghost. The impact of the explosion causes him to hit his head on a rock and fall unconscious.
"Horohoro! Well that was easy!"
Round one Match three: winner Perona of the Chess no Koma. Round one goes to the Cross Guard since they achieved two out of three victories and their Captain was undefeated. However Perona of the S
Chess no Koma, will advance because she won and was the captain of her team."
The winners are transported away from the battlefield, as the purple ogre says around two will begin immediately."
"Perona is teleported in front of her crew. "Good gob Perona!" Nathan says as she returns to her body.
"Will the next combatants please step forward" the purple ogre says as both sides the Demon Pirates notice something they didn't expect on the Cross Guard side. Standing among the enemy forces was a familiar face, Minnie of the Mink Pirate. "
