Chapter 27
Their bedroom was dark and quiet. Marco slept soundly against him, while Ace drowsily played with his hair, grooming out the knots. Their limbs were mostly tangled together, and for now, Ace felt clear headed. He'd fall back into his heat soon. It would probably last two more days, and Ace was looking forward to enjoying them as well.
He hadn't felt this relaxed and at ease in ages. To finally be with Marco, mated with him, was perfect. Marco had been so gentle with him, not like Teach, who Ace knew would have been rough. Ace snuggled in deeper, enjoying their embrace.
Mihar had kept bringing them in food, and some kind of nasty drink that Marco said would stop Ace from getting pregnant. Neither of them had any contraceptives in their bodies, so the drink had to be drunk. No matter how disgusting it was.
Sam, their head nurse, and the most determined woman known to man (because who else would tackled their father, and force-feed him medication), did say the medicine wasn't the best method, but between that and condoms, it should prevent any accidental pregnancies. Of course, she had to say it through the door, because she hadn't been allowed inside.
Only Mihar was allowed inside due to him being a very calm Beta, and so far, their siblings were obeying that rule. Although that didn't stop them from gathering outside to try get a peek. Marco would growl every time, and send them scurrying away. He had even gotten out of bed once, ready to chase the others away, and it was only Ace dragging him back into bed that stopped the Alpha from strangling their siblings.
He paused when his new mobile went off on the table, leaning over, he snatched it up, and silenced it before the song could wake Marco. His lover did stir against him, but settled down once more against him, nuzzling his neck and purring. Ace smiled, and pressed a kiss against Marco's hair, before opening up the message.
Yamato says:
Hey, Ace. I wanted to see how you were doing with your heat. I hope everything is going well, and that you aren't being hassled.
Ace smiled and started typing back. He had sent his new number over to Yamato not too long ago, along with his brothers of course. He wanted to keep in contact after all. Teach had his mobile still, but thankfully Ace had been given a new one.
Ace says:
Actually, everything is going well. Are you alone right now, dragon wrecker?
Yamato says:
Yes, speak freely, fireball.
Ace grinned. If Yamato called him 'fireball' then he could speak as freely as he wished, and nobody would know what he had sent. If he called Yamato 'dragon wrecker', that was the codeword for Yamato to speak openly too. It was rarely used though. Often Ace wouldn't be able to offer it up, because Teach ended up with his phone.
Ace says:
I escaped the club. I'm with Marco right now.
Yamato says:
Holy shit! Seriously? That's great news :D Has he bitten you yet? Are you mated? I can't believe it. I'm so happy for you! 3
Ace softened. He couldn't stop the smile that spread across his face, and nor did he bother too.
Ace says:
We mated. My entire heat has been with him so far, and it's been amazing, Yamato. I've never felt so safe before. Well, of course I felt safe with you, but you know what I mean, right?
Yamato says:
Of course I do, Ace! Marco is your mate. I'm hopefully apart of your pack in the future, once I get free of my father :( I want to kick his ass so badly! D:
Ace says:
You're always welcome to join my pack, Yamato.
Yamato says:
Thank you, Ace. I'm glad to hear you say that.
So, how big is he? ;)
Ace choked.
Yamato says:
Don't grow silent on me now! Tell me all the details. I bet you're blushing right now, aren't you?
Ace says:
You're being evil. I take back my welcome to my pack.
Yamato says:
Too late. You're stuck with me. Next time I see you, I'm going to dig up all the juicy details ;) I can see it now, fill you up with lots of alcohol and get you talking.
Ace snorted.
Ace says:
I'd probably just start blabbing on about Luffy and Sabo again.
Yamato says:
True... o.o
I'd just have to lead you on to the right subject then. Hopefully that will work xD
Ace says:
Doubt it.
Yamato says:
Boo. No fun xD
Ace says:
So how is your heat going?
Yamato says:
Fine. I can keep myself occupied. A shame you're not here anymore. I like having you around, even if all we do is snuggle.
Ace says:
It is comfortable, and it makes me feel safe. It might be more difficult since I'm mated now.
Yamato says:
It will be. So I would not ask to have you at my side anymore, unless your mate is unable to help you during one of your future heats. Hopefully by then I will have met my own mate. Anyway, I can feel another wave coming back on, so I shall leave you to rest.
Ace says:
I'm sure you'll find your mate one day. Anyway, I'll see you later, Yamato. Stay safe, and I hope your heat treats you well.
Ace closed his mobile and buried himself back into Marco's arms. He'd get some rest before his heat hit him with another round of pleasure that only Marco could help him relieve now.

"Yes," his father said coldly. "You are."
One moment Law had been staring up at his father, who had a gun pointed in his face. Then the next thing he knew, a piercing sharp pain tore through his shoulder. He yelped, but immediately a hand clamped over his mouth, and slammed his head into the wall. He heard Luffy yell, just as he tried to stab his father's arm with his sword. Doflamingo tossed the gun aside, grabbed his sword arm, and crushed it against the wall. Law managed to keep a hold of Kikoku, but groaned in pain. He squirmed but his shoulder burned at the movement.
"Stop struggling. You'll only hurt yourself," Doflamingo said, finally releasing his mouth.
Instead he grabbed his other wrist, and forced his injured arm out. Law hissed at the pain, especially when his father raised his arms, leaving Law dangling, his feet in the air.
"Have you stopped to consider that this might very well be all your fault, Law? You're the one who brought all these guys into this fight. All because you couldn't sit still and be obedient." Doflamingo smirked.
Doflamingo crushed both his wrists. Law gasped, and his hands twitched. His shoulder burned in agony and that made him writhe. In his moment of pain, he released Kikoku. She clattered to the floor. Doflamingo eased his grip on Law's wrists, while Law panted, trying to overcome the ache. He could feel a cold sweat on his brow, leaving him to shiver.
"You really think so?" Law scowled, forcing his breathing to even out.
"Fufufufufu, you've kept calm. Good boy." Doflamingo laughed. "I've taught you well."
Law's feet were off the ground, and the pain in his wrists and shoulder was intense. He could barely feel his hands. Doflamingo stalked forward, still smirking smugly.
"If you ask me, nothing would have changed. These brats would have hounded me, even if you had been obedient. They would never had laid down and let their gang members be taken for the Omega Factory. One way or another, it would have been destroyed." Doflamingo chuckled.
Law gasped when he was suddenly flung back, thrown into the small cage that had hung from the ceiling. Doflamingo had four of them in the room, each hanging by a corner as décor. Doflamingo slammed the door shut before Law even had a chance to regain his bearings, and by that point, he was crammed inside. The cage swung, leaving him disorientated and confused.
It was a fucking birdcage.
His father grinned, tossing him a medical kit. "That will keep you out of the way. Now tend to your wound while I deal with Straw Hat and the mutt."
"Dammit!" Law cursed, kicking out against the bars.
That only made him swing again. Law hissed. He barely had room to move, and only just managed to sit up. It took time for the cage to still, and by that point his father had walked away, scooping up his gun as he went.
"Doffy!"
His father paused, before glancing back. Law frowned spotting Viola, or Violet, walking into the room.
"Fufufufu, and what are you doing here, Viola?"
"The Donquixote Family is finally about to fall," Violet frowned. "I have to take some responsibility as a former Executive, and face you myself."
The idiot. She had a dagger. That was hardly going to do anything.
"Either I die here, or you do, Doffy."
"Fufufufu, you are very passionate, Violet."
Law blanched, because his father's scent was growing interested. Nope. He did not want to know anything about whatever 'passionate' night they may have had. Just the thought made him feel sick. Especially when Violet was only a few years older than him.
"You could have at least brought a gun," Law complained.
"Stay out of this," Violet huffed.
"I mean, sure I didn't, but I had a massive sword. It gives me plenty of range. I also didn't have much time to go get a gun, since two morons decided to charge the first chance they got," Law continued dryly.
Violet ignored him. His father easily dodged her swipes, grinning the entire time, amused. It took one good kick to disarm her, leaving her slammed into a wall. Law reached for the handle bars, but that only made the damn cage sway once more. He was thrown on to his side, his limbs tangled. He had no space, every movement he made only made things worse. However, he couldn't just sit here and do nothing. His shoulder throbbed, and so with a frown, he decided to quickly tend to it. It was the best thing he could do for now.
His father grabbed her wrist, and yanked Violet up. She tried to hit him, but immediately her arm was entangled by metal threads. Law winced as Doflamingo slammed Violet into the floor.
"Did you really think I'd hesitate because we spent the past decade together, Violet? Or because we've shared some private times together?" Doflamingo asked coldly. "You were never special because of that. You needed someone to help with your heats, and I desired some company."
Doflamingo leaned down, capturing her hands with the metal wires, and binding them together. He dragged her up by her hair, tutting mockingly.
"I don't condone betrays from anyone. Well, except Law I suppose, but he's a special case. Fufufufu," Father chuckled. "I think it's time you that you were finally silenced. Although, perhaps I could still make use of you. I do have an Omega Factory to fill back up."
Violet snarled. "I'd rather die!"
"Fufufufu, even better." Doflamingo smirked. "You can suffer even more that way."
"Bastard!" Law spat. "You're seriously still going on about that? What the hell would my mother say?"
Doflamingo frowned.
"She'd hate you for ruining all these people's lives. For raping them and stealing their kids," Law snarled. "Have you really given it no thought? What she'd think of you? She's your mate dammit!"
"She's dead," Doflamingo said, ice cold. "If your mother really wanted a say in what I do. She shouldn't have gotten sick."
"You're being irrational."
"I'm being practical," Father said. "You can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs, Law. All of this? This is simply just business, and since I'm strong enough to do it. I can get away with all of this."
"Not when Luffy-ya and Eustass-ya take you down," Law frowned.
Doflamingo scowled. "You really have that much faith in them?"
"The Straw Hat gang are the luckiest people I have ever met. If anyone can beat you, it would be them."
"And what will you do if I'm beaten, Law?" Doflamingo asked, tossing Violet to the ground, who grunted. "Kaido will be on your heels. He has no concept of mercy. The only reason you're alive, after the whole fiasco that was the Omega Factory, is because you're with me right now, and because I'm giving you to one of his Alphas."
"And perhaps none of this would have happened if you had just let me be with my actual mate. The one I feel a proper connection to," Law growled.
"If you really think I'd let you go off with some filthy mutt, then you're delusional." Doflamingo smirked, raising his gun. "No. Instead I'm going to put a bullet between his eyes, and cut off whatever connection you think you have to him."
"Just listen to me!" Law pleaded, grateful when his father paused. "It's a warm feeling. That's what I got the first time I laid my eyes on Kidd. I felt safe, even if the bastard was annoying and pissed me off. You know what it feels like, meeting your mate for the first time. It's the best feeling in the world and you feel like nothing can go wrong."
His father was oddly silent, and Law hoped that it meant he was finally listening.
"You felt that same way, didn't you? When it came to my mother?" Law continued. "And when she died, it killed apart of you. So don't make me go through that too."
"You aren't mated," Father said. "It's not the same."
"Not yet, but it will be," Law insisted.
"I should have gotten rid of him years ago," Doflamingo said coldly.
Law knew he was losing him. That whatever hold he had was slipping away once more. Doflamingo wasn't listening to him anymore.
"That feeling you have, Law? It can be recreated. I felt the exact same way when I held you and Lami both for the first time," Father admitted. "And I refuse to lose what I have left."
"But-"
"If you continue to speak," Doflamingo growled, pointing his gun at Violet. "I will shoot her. There are many Omegas out there, Law. Girls and boys just as pretty as her. She isn't special."
Law glared, but quietened down. He didn't care too much about the woman, but she didn't deserve to die just because his father was insane.
"Good boy."
