Chapter 29

"I'm so sorry, Young Master," Monet said.

Doflamingo sat by Vergo's bed who was thankfully asleep. He'd be fine. His old friend was suffering broken bones and and bruising, but it was nothing that couldn't be sorted with some rest. It was Trebol, Diamante and Gladius that he was mostly worried about.

The doctors didn't think any of them would make it. It was taking everything he had not to snap, and all he could do for now was watch Vergo breathe.

Kyros had fought Diamante, left him bleeding out in the colosseum, while Trebol and Gladius had been taken down by the mutt and Straw Hat. The only bright side was that Bellamy had been down there with them, and Doflamingo had cut his throat before anybody could try save the worthless shit.

"You all did what you could," Doflamingo reassured. "I don't blame any of you for how everything turned out."

"What will happen now?" Monet asked.

"Did you pull Baby-5 back in?"

"Yes. Nobody was able to stop her from leaving Blackbeard's club. She's making her way back home now," Monet said.

"Good. I'm having CP-0 sort out the public's confusion on the attacks." Doflamingo smirked. "And some blackmail Law thinks he managed to get on me."

"What will you do about Law, Young Master?"

Doflamingo frowned. "I'll be having a think on that thought. Law will be starting his heat soon, so I don't have much time to act."

"Shall we say he has been kidnapped?" Monet suggested.

"We can try." Doflamingo nodded. "I know one thing though. I will find his friends, and I'll punish them for his misdeeds, one by one. Fufufufufu, perhaps that will make him come home running."

"And the Straw Hats and Kidd gang?"

"I think they deserve some new bounties on their heads." Doflamingo grinned.

They were probably heading back to East Blue. They would be in Teach's domain, but considering Teach hadn't sorted out either gang yet, Doflamingo could hardly be blamed for taking actions into his own hands.

He'd kill Straw Hat and the mutt with his own two hands.

Law had stood before the door to his uncle's room for what felt like hours now. Kidd was at his back, rubbing his shoulder, planting a kiss on his hair.

"You can do this, Law."

"I don't think I can..." Law said, turning to face his lover. "Kidd, all the things that could have happened to him... And all this time I thought my father was treating him well. I listened to Doflamingo. Let him spin all those lies about Uncle Cora being sick with Amber Lead Disease, something I couldn't go near because of what happened to my mother and Lami."

"If I had just stopped-" Law scowled, shaking his head. "I should have thought it through. I know my father is a cruel man, and that he wouldn't have let my uncle off so easily, but I made assumptions because of Amber Lead-"

The door slammed open, and Law jumped. Uncle Cora looked frail, his body thin and extremely pale, as if his skin hadn't seen the sun in years. But his eyes were bright, and his frown turned into a grin the moment their eyes met.

"Stop fretting out here and come inside, Law," Uncle Cora said, his eyes growing soft.

Kidd nudged him forward, and Law obeyed, following his Uncle inside. Kidd stayed back, and Law shivered as the old, familiar scent of plums wrapped around him in a loose embrace. The moment the door was shut Uncle Cora yanked him into a hug, embracing him tightly. Law hugged him back, burying his head into the crook of Cora's neck.

"I missed you so much, Law."

"I missed you too," Law said. "And I love you too, Uncle Cora."

His uncle stiffened against him, and Law knew he remembered their last meeting. The arms around him tightened, and his uncle nuzzled him, cooing softly.

"God, you've grown up so much," Uncle Cora said. "You've got a scent and everything. I can't believe I missed out on all that."

"A shame we couldn't outrun my father forever then, huh?" Law smiled sadly.

"If I had been able to, I would have kept you." Uncle Cora frowned. "But you seem to have made some nice friends along the way, including that redhead."

"He's my mate, or well, soon to be mate," Law admitted, nervous. "I... That's not a bad thing right? Father hates him, but-"

"Law." Uncle Cora grinned, stroking his hair. "All I ask for is that he makes you happy."

Law smiled warmly. "He does."

"Then your mate is perfect."

Sabo and Koala approached Rosinante's room, though Sabo paused when he saw Kidd leaning against the wall. The redhead opened his eyes as Sabo approached, and frowned.

"What do you want, bastard?" Kidd scowled.

Sabo smirked. "What makes you think I want anything from you?"

"Oh don't start this again you two," Koala huffed. "We're here to see how Law and Rosinante are getting on with their chat. If anything came up."

"They're probably still reuniting," Kidd said. "I'd give it a few hours before they start talking about anything serious."

Kidd did shift away from the door, frowning heavily at them. "How bad is he?"

"Rosinante?" Koala asked, grimacing. "It wasn't good, but I suppose that's something that should be left to him to reveal to you."

"If he wishes to." Sabo grinned. "I wonder if he's going to feel the same way as Doflamingo about you."

"Oh fuck no," Kidd groaned. "Don't remind me. Law actually really likes his 'Uncle Cora' too. Their relationship ain't all complicated like it is with the pink bastard, so I won't be able to do shit about it."

Sabo chuckled. "Better start being on your best behaviour around him."

Kidd groaned. "Fuck that crap. If he ain't liking me, then he ain't liking me. It's Law who I'm after, not any of his other family members."

Sabo grinned at his mate, and Koala smiled back. He could agree with that sentiment. His blood family would never have accepted Koala, and he gave no shit about what they thought. Thankfully though, his true family liked Koala.

.::.

"So what happened to you, Uncle Cora?" Law asked. "The last thing I remember of that night, father shot you in the leg, then took me away. He told me he was letting you go."

Rosinante frowned. "And he did, for about ten minutes. The next thing I remember was Vergo knocking me out cold before I could get somewhere safe."

He still remembered the terror of waking up. Of lying on a cold table, strapped down tight, how his legs had been spread wide open, and being injected with an Alpha's sperm-

He remembered the doctor telling him he was one of the newest workmen in the Omega Factory, the factory that had been in development the last time Rosinante had heard anything about it. That the 'Young Master' had ordered him to be used for the next generation of children. At that time they had been in North Blue. It had gotten even worse when they moved to Dressrosa. The factory had grown, and Rosinante had given birth to child after child.

He hadn't been allowed to hold them, half the time he had been so drugged up and out of it that he barely remembered being pregnant with them. He hadn't seen his brother once in all those years, giving birth to child after child, only to have them taken away after they were born. It had been absolute agony.

Then his brother finally appeared, and coldly mocked him. Asking if he finally realised how he had felt when he had taken Law from him. He hadn't wanted to take Law away, but Doflamingo wasn't mentally sound. Rosinante had tried to protect his nephew from Doflamingo's influence, because he hadn't wanted Law to turn out like his father.

He was glad to see that Law hadn't. That Law had grown into a fine young man, who needed more sleep, if those dark circles under his eyes were any indication.

"How many children?" Law asked hesitantly.

"I was forced to give birth to seven pups," Rosinante admitted.

Law went white, and he leaned shakily back in his chair. Rosinante threw him a sympathetic smile, patting his arm.

"I'm just glad I got to see you again at least. That you and your friends freed me."

"I could have freed you sooner if I hadn't trusted him." Law frowned, shaking his head. "The fact that I did-"

"You couldn't have known any better, Law. Of course you trusted Doflamingo. He's your father," Rosinante insisted. "My kids, I... I'm not sure if it was a kindness or not, but I was given their names..."

Rosinante smiled softly. "Amanda is the eldest, I know that for a fact, but I'm unsure about the others. They were all so fuzzy. I know I had another girl, Milia, then Ogla, Soran, and Jaiya, then two boys, Holy and Sind."

"Are you going to try find them?" Law asked.

"I hope to, even if it's just to see what sort of family they are with."

"Still... Doflamingo did that to you of all people..." Law growled lowly. "He put you in the factory-"

"I was then milked for a time," Rosinante revealed. "That was a gruelling process. The worst part was the experiments though. I was the test subject for changing the secondary gender. So after that I never had anymore pups. It was just tests after tests."

"Fucking hell..." Law rubbed his forehead. "I... I don't even know what to think..."

"I'm safe now," Rosinante reassured. "And I've been through worse."

"I doubt being tortured and experimented on by your own brother was easier than anything else you have been through."

"You tried to blackmail Doflamingo. The Revolutionaries told me about it. How he didn't seem fazed."

"Yeah." Law frowned. "Father wasn't at all concerned. He told me I didn't know anything about my family history... Is it really that important?"

"It is." Rosinante nodded, his gaze darkening. "I'm also not surprised Doflamingo hadn't said anything about it. Just thinking about it makes him furious."

"Then... Then I guess I better know sooner, rather than later," Law said.

Rosinante smiled sadly. "I suppose you should."

.::.

It had taken a week for the meeting with the government to end. Teach had been forced to threaten them, to make a good show of his power, before the bastards would finally cower. His lover's heat would have ended now, and that infuriated him. He could have mated Ace, gotten him pregnant with his pups, and finally made a start on their future together.

Just imagining his Omega, swollen with pups, made him purr in pleasure.

He would just have to wait for Ace's next heat. Another god damn month. Ace could have been a few weeks into his pregnancy by that point. The thought made him growl.

"Boss," Laffitte called, rushing over to his side. "I just called all our contacts. A lot of things have happened over the past few days."

Doflamingo's SMILE factory had been destroyed by the Revolutionaries and the Straw Hats. Doflamingo had fought Straw Hat and Eustass Kidd from the Kidd gang. Burgess had been defeated by the Chief of Staff, Sabo Outlook, who Teach knew was Ace's other brother.

Ace was going to have to be punished again for keeping something so important from him. Perhaps tied up and left in the dark for days, unable to do anything but rely on Teach to care for him. That would be an interesting time.

His fantasies ended when he learned that Ace had escaped his club, his brothers had broken him out, and his blood boiled at the thought. He had warned Straw Hat, and the little bastard refused to listen.

He saw red, but Laffitte's next words soothed him.

Because Burgess had found out where the Revolutionaries hide out was. All the Blackbeards needed to do was track his phone, and follow him. They could ambush Monkey D. Dragon, and Sabo. If they publicly held Sabo hostage, Ace would come running back into his arms.

"Zehahahaha! Looks like things are starting to turn around. Let's get ready to go boys!" Teach yelled.
