Chapter 37

"It's a good thing you like breaking things," Law said, eyeing all the explosives Kidd and his gang carried.

Killer's scent smelled overjoyed and excited. This probably felt like revenge on his part for being locked up in the Omega Factory, so at least that was cheering him up.

"We haven't had a chance to cause so much destruction in a while," Kidd said, smirking. "So here we are, going to blow up Blackbeard's shit for giggles."

"Just be careful. If they find out it was you-"

"I hope they do," Kidd laughed. "But you be careful as well. You're the one heading to the fat bastard's club after all."

"I'll be fine," Law said, pressing a kiss to Kidd's lips. "I'll see you later."

"See ya." Kidd grinned.

Law arrived at the club just as several explosions went off on several sides of the city. Law grimaced, because he had been hoping Kidd's distraction wasn't going to wreck the entire city. It did drag out a very pissed off looking Teach, his men following on his heels. They got into their cars and drove off in different directions.

He texted Ace and headed for the main door. The guards straightened up, blinking at him.

"Sorry, sweetheart," one of them said. "But the club isn't open at the moment."

"Well that's a shame," Law mused.

"Do you want us to call your Alpha?" the other asked, staring at his collar, trying to figure out whose stamp it was.

"Don't recognise it? It's a smiley face," Law said.

It was his own gang's symbol. He was using that for now on, because he didn't belong to his father, and he and Kidd belonged to each other.

"Is it the Donquixote symbol?" one asked.

"I thought that had a slice through it?"

"Jeez, there's so many symbols these days..."

"I know right?" Law chuckled.

"So um... Is that a heart tattoo on your chest? It looks amazing..."

"Your Alpha must like tattoos to have you put such a big one on yourself."

"And who said I didn't want the tattoo?" Law asked, raising a brow.

"True, true! Good boys always want what their Alphas want, yeah?"

"Oh yes, 'good boys' indeed," Law said, smirking.

He finally pulled Kikoku from behind his back and cut both men down. Law stepped over them, shoving the door open. He walked in, closing the door behind him and headed for the stairs. He had been here enough times to know his way about. He glanced at his phone, and frowned at the word 'attic'. Yes, because that would be a good place for a pregnant Omega to hide in. He'd have to make sure Ace didn't receive any cuts, because who knew when the last time the attic had been cleaned up. Ace couldn't risk any infections, especially not so early in his pregnancy.

Law walked around as if he owned the place, and that seemed to work. Nobody questioned him, the staff barely even glanced his way, all hurrying about. Law did quieten his steps when he arrived at Teach's floor, because he would be questioned for going up to the big boss' private floor, then continued his way up to the attic.

"Ace?" Law called quietly.

Law tried the door, but it was locked. He heard nothing from inside the attic, and assumed it was sound proofed in some way. He was about to text Ace when the door finally opened. Ace pulled him into a hug, inhaling his scent. Law allowed it, because this was Ace's Omega acting on Ace's behalf. Ace was pregnant and would need to feel some form of comfort and safety, and Law was a fellow Omega. Ace would feel safe at his side. Law made his way into the attic once he was released, glancing around, and grimaced. Ace latched on to his hand, and Law gently squeezed it in reassurance.

"I was worried when you said you were in the attic. They aren't known for being very clean," Law mused. "I see Teach has no problem keeping his stalker room of you clean though."

Ace scowled. "He's even got my old underwear in here."

"What a creep," Law said, wrinkling his nose. "You didn't get any cuts while in here, right? Just in case-"

"No, I'm okay."

"Good," Law said, nodding. "Alright, let's make our way out now. I know the club has a fire escape, so we'll take our time going down it and then exit out into the alley."

"We can't go out Teach's one. He keeps it locked." Ace grimaced.

"What an idiot."

"It's to stop me running off."

"Ah yes, surely the fire will care about Teach trying to keep you prisoner and not burn you both because of that." Law scowled, rolling his eyes. "Alphas."

Ace laughed, but he did pause, frowning thoughtfully. "He would have given Pascia the code for the lock. She's the one who attends to me."

"Do you think she will be on Teach's floor right now?"

"I'm not sure."

"We'll give it a try anyway. The third floor was full of people and your scent is very strong right now. We'll never be able to sneak by them, even if we masked our scents," Law mused. "A good sign though. It means your pregnancy is going very well so far and your pup or pups are nice and healthy."

Ace flushed, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Um, thank you?"

Law chuckled. "This must be all quite the surprise for you. I suppose we should talk about that later though. Come on, let's head down."

.::.

Law's scent was really soothing right now. Ace had reluctantly let go of Law's hand, because the swordsman would need both hands if they ran into any trouble. Ace wouldn't be much help right now. He didn't want to fight, and his Omega wouldn't really let him either.

They found Pascia in the nursery, dusting the room. She froze the moment she saw Law, but gasped when their eyes met. Ace offered her a small smile, even as his stomach rolled at the nursery. He hated this room. He didn't want this nursery and yet, as always, Teach would have forced it on him.

"Pascia, we need your help," Ace said, and grinned when she paused thoughtfully. "We can get out of here through the fire escape on this floor, but we need the password. I know Teach would have given it to you for my safety, so how about we all get out of here together? I could take you to Sphinx with me. You could finally be free."

"Master Ace, you should know by now that there isn't any freedom for people like us," Pascia said softly, shaking her head. "We're Omega. You and Mr. Trafalgar may have things a bit easier, since you're classed as High Omegas, but still. We can't forget our roles in society."

"It doesn't have to be that way, Pascia-"

"I must ask you to return to your room. Master Teach is very upset with you."

Pascia looked stern, and almost disappointed in him. Ace hesitated, his Omega shying away at the thought that someone he relied on disliked what he was doing. Law raised his sword, and the blade's point was merely inches away from Pascia's throat. Law's eyes were cold. Ace scrambled, shocked, trying to come up with a way for all this to end peacefully, but Law's eyes darkened.

"Normally I'd try to be a bit more sympathetic, but we both know Ace-ya is pregnant. It's not Blackbeard's baby. It's the Phoenix's. And they are both going to get used to lure in the Whitebeard gang. If that happens, and Blackbeard successfully kills the Phoenix, you can count on Ace's baby not making it from the sheer stress."

Ace whimpered at the thought.

"As a doctor I will not let that happen."

"Omegas can't be doctors-"

"I can be whatever I bloody hell want!" Law spat. "I won't let anyone tell me otherwise. Now tell me the password."

Pascia yelled instead. Ace froze, stunned, but Law was quicker. He slammed the pommel of his sword off the back of her head, knocking her out. Law grabbed Ace's wrist, dragging him out the room. Ace whimpered, because people would have heard that. He was going to be locked up. He didn't want to be tied up again. Teach would never give him another chance to escape. Ace couldn't fight back. Normally he'd be kicking, clawing, biting and punching his way free from those who stood between him and his freedom if he got the chance.

But he was pregnant. He had to protect his baby.

"No, no, no, no-" Ace gasped. "They'll lock me up. Teach will tie me down. I don't want to-"

Law headed for the window with the fire escape, letting Ace go before finishing the journey over. He grabbed a chair on the way by and flung it at the window. It bounced right off, and Law scowled.

"Bulletproof huh?"

Law drew his gun and pointed it straight at the doorway the moment it slammed open. Ace backed away, going right up to Law's side.

"An Omega?" a guard asked, puzzled.

"Oh look, how pretty, and the pretty thing found the Boss' Omega too."

It was seven Alphas, all large and strongly built. Ace and Law would have been able to take them on together. Heck, normally Ace could have taken them on himself, but he curled an arm around his stomach, his Omega shivering in distress. Law came to rescue him, Ace had asked for help, and he was going to get Law hurt.

"W-Wait," Ace said shakily. "I'll behave and come with you willingly. Just let Law go."

Law's gaze darkened. "Ace, we both know that won't be happening here."

"But-"

"Yeah, sweetheart. We'll lock you back up in your room, and as punishment, you can listen to us play with your Omega friend here," a guard crooned.

Ace hissed, tried to grab Law's arm and drag him back behind him, but Law remained in place. His eyes dark and cold. His scent spiked up angrily, and Ace knew he'd go down fighting. If Ace could protect him, they could lock themselves up in Teach's room. It would leave them at Teach's mercy but Teach knew Law. He'd know it would be better to send Law back to Doflamingo unharmed.

His Omega whined in distress.

"Law-" Ace whispered urgently, tugging at his arm again. "Please-"

"Calm down, Ace-ya," Law muttered. "I can take them. Luffy-ya wasn't the only one training these past two years."

"I dunno," another one of Teach's thugs said, wrinkling his nose. "Smells mated."

"A hole is a hole-"

A gun fired, and a bullet pierced the Alpha's head. The man went crashing down, and Law's gun aimed once more.

"And there's another hole for you fuckers to fill." Law smirked.

"You dirty bitch-"

The man's head was suddenly cut off. The body went down, and the head rolled. Ace flinched, while Law froze.

"Fufufufu, now, now. Don't be rude."

Donquixote Doflamingo strolled into the room, hands in the air, the strings attached to them blood soaked. Law's face turned carefully blank while Ace shivered nervously. How the hell did he know Law would be here?

"That's my son you're talking to," Doflamingo sneered, as the guards froze in place. "And besides that little fact. You're talking to two High Omega. I'd show a little more respect."

Law huffed. "Hello, Father."

"Hello, Law," Doflamingo greeted, grinning. "I'm surprised to see you here."

"Likewise."

"Fufufufu, we'll talk about that in a moment. First though, I think I'm due to teach some rats a lesson."

The room was then full of screams, and Doflamingo's laughter.
