Undercover Operation

Chapter 49th

Loreile had arrived at the Tombstone, Arizona safe house with her friend now a manager of the safe house to set up the plans for her. Her friend James Ackerman ex-Marine from many years ago.

He had been shaking his head. Knowing her situation during the past four years having been married to Special Agent Gibbs. She had been in the hot seat being around someone with a death wish all of his entire life.

She had been escorted to her quarters had turned off her phone. She wasn't in any mood to be speaking to anyone and including Director Leon Vance after being told about her husband heading for the Mission District. She was just sick and tire of the BS caused by him, their marriage, and the boys having to be upset.

Reaching her quarters after six different security checkpoints. She had been amazed at how much had changed in the past few years.

The young escort opened her quarters by turning on the lights inside. She had handed her the keys before heading back to her own work on the grounds.

Loreile walked inside placing her things inside the first bedroom with a TV as well. She was more interested in taking a shower and then making something good to eat after the crap they had served on the flight.

She didn't take all that long inside the spacious bathroom. She was able to open up her suitcase having pulled out her purple nightgown, robe, and slippers with needing to brush out her wet hair.

She had gone to lay down on her double bed in the first bedroom. She had been exhausted caused by the stress of her husband's nonsense and the baby having to be in her ninth month. She wasn't going to tolerate any more from him.

This situation had to end finally with divorcing Leroy Jethro Gibbs for real. He was going to have to live alone once again with his lifestyle once his obsession continues on with going after the Cartel. She had fallen asleep to have a dream...

Loreile was overlooking the coffin for where her husband had been placed next to the other two empty coffins that were supposed to be holding the bodies of Shannon and Kelly Gibbs 34 years prior.

Shannon and Kelly were standing next to her with tears in their eyes. Kelly was in an embrace with her husband Colonel James Hawkins. "I just can't believe you, Daddy that you finally made it?" she had been talking about him wanting to die every time he was on a case or undercover operation.

Loreile we are truly sorry that you weren't happy being married to Jethro? His entire life was nothing but miserable for him in every way. What you need to do is move on with a new life? Find someone that will give you truly what is needed with love, romance, and the truth and justice." Shannon had to say to her moving away from the gravesite.

While she continued to stand over the grave of her husband. He died trying to stop a Cartel leader only to be killed in the process...

This is when Loreile had woken from the strange dream. She needed to get up from her double bed to head for the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea and something to eat.

Once she was settled with the herbal tea and having made a Turkey Club sandwich. She had placed her cell phone onto the table now ready for the worst with any type of messages that might be on the phone.

Turning it on. She sipped her tea first along with two large bites of the sandwich. She pressed the voicemail button to play the three messages with all three from Director Vance.

"OMG!" she said to herself having left not realizing what might have happened with her husband heading for the Mission District and now she really feels bad.

Finishing her tea and sandwich. She needed to call her friend at home living in the safe house needing to fly back to Alexandria and Bethesda hospital to be at her husband's side before he does actually die on her and all of the regrets she had over the years.

Two hours later ...

Loreile was on the way to the airfield with an escort to go with her on the flight back to Washington, D.C., SHE DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TO PACK WITH HER GO BAG Placed in the back of the trunk.

"We will be at the airfield in 15 minutes having enough time to catch the flight." Sergeant Janey Winters age 34 had to say to Loreile sitting quietly next to her. She was able to feel her baby active having to be in her ninth month.

She had called back Director Leon Vance to let him know that she was on her way back home having to have been at the Tombstone, Arizona safe house. He wasn't all that please that she left Special Agent Gibbs in critical condition after being rescued from the Mission district and the Cartel leader.

Doctor Cyril Taft working with his patient after the surgery to repair some of the damage to his body. Even though his heart was having issues and having scheduled heart surgery in a few days to replace the left side heart valve to improve his breathing and oxygen levels.

He had been given the news from Vance that Special Agent Gibbs's wife was on the way back home from Arizona to be at Gibbs's side for moral support or anything else that will help Gibbs get through the episode.

Loreile was waiting anxiously when they had arrived at the small airport drinking water she was able to purchase from the vendor. While Sergeant Winters was drinking a diet coke with a pretzel salted.

"How I wish that I can have one with doctor orders to stay away from the salt?" Loreile cried out with the response.
