Phantom froze as soon as he walked into the room.

Everyone froze and looked at him as well.

If anyone has ever told you to stare back at the people who were staring at you to assert your dominance.

Clearly, they have never been stared down by the original justice league members.

Slowly, Phantom looked around the room, looking at all of the league members that were sitting around the large table in the room. All of them were frowning, not a single person looked like they were taking part in a lighthearted conversation.

"...Is there something wrong...?"

For some reason, Superman sighed like the weight of the world was on his soul itself and buried his face in his hands. John even patted his back in a comforting way.

Phantom continued to look around the room in confusion until his attention was directed to the speedster.

"Welp," Flash slapped his hands onto his thighs in a way that was so reminiscence of Jack Fenton," Theres no easy way to say this," Flash said loudly as he looked around the room," Some of our partners went into this underground lab and well..." Flash glanced over at Superman uncertainly. His eyes rested on the Man of Steel for a few seconds before facing Phantom to finish his sentence," Well, uhhhh...Someone cloned Superman and now theres a teenage Superman waiting in one of the guest rooms for answers." Phantom frowned at the news and slowly looked around the room.

His teammates were either disturbed, blanked-faced, or disgusted, something that he didn't really understand.

"Oh." He said blandly as he finished walking through the door," Is that all?" He sat down at the table with a heavy sigh, almost humming happily as he sipped at his coffee," Man I thought someone died or something."

Everyone stared at him.

"Is that all?!" Superman repeated breathlessly. He stood up from his chair, his face quickly turning a light red from the whirlwind of emotions he was feeling," Phantom! I don't think you understand! Someone stole my DNA! And they made a clone!" And in a rare show of immaturity, Superman threw his hands into their air and groaned out," This couldn't be any worse!"

"I dunno," Phantom coolly sipped from his coffee, smacking his lips together when he was done, " Has he tried to kill you yet?"

Cue the confused looks of almost everyone who was in the room.

"I- What?! No! He hasn't tried to kill me?! "

No one understood what Phantom was trying to do as he rose his eyebrow and asked," Well what did he do?"

"Phantom," Diana said seriously, her face and tone letting everyone know that she meant business," Superman was cloned."

Phantom almost rolled his eyes as he said," Yes. I get that. But from it sounds like to me," He dragged out the last syllable and twirled his hand around in a dismissive way," You guys are getting mad at him for just existing. Its not like he was the one who willed himself into existence. But moving on, are you gonna name him or does he already have a name?"

Most of the league were dumbfounded at the way Phantom was reacting, at the way he was not reacting to the fact that his teammate was cloned.

But only one of his teammates was sitting quietly, his eyes narrowing as he started to connect the dots.

At the outrage everyone was giving him, Phantom sighed heavily before snapping twice with his right hand.

Sometimes he forgot that it was not normal for you to have a clone. Or to accept the clone as a family member.

They all jerked back when there was a flash of green fire next to their ghost hero.

Superman, Batman, and Flash frowned when Dani, Phantoms Captain of the Royal Guard and Army appeared at his side.

"King Phantom," Dani had appeared in a kneel right next to him, her head bowed down as she gave him his proper respect," How may I serve you?"

Phantom waved off her proper greeting," Its fine Dani, I want my cousin right now, not my captain."

Dani immediately jumped up with a bright smile, one that was so familiar to the room. Without questioning it, Phantom let her take his coffee right from his hands to claim it as her own.

"So!" She said brightly, cradling the cup in her hands as she floated gently in the air," What's up? Do I have to take the soul of some asshat again?"

Phantom snorted at her question and motioned towards the people in the room," Not today Elle. Mind telling them how you became my cousin?"

Dani rose an eyebrow as she sipped at her coffee. She didn't mind telling her origin story but she was a little bit confused about the setting she was telling it in," Oh ok," She planted her feet onto the ground and gave the adults a wave with a bright smile," Danielle Phantom. I'm Dannys clone and I just turned five."

She ignored the gasp and the looks they were all giving her as she continued," Vlad created me because Danny didn't want to become his son."

"Again. Ew." Dani snorted at her cousin's words.

"I know. Anyway, after trying to kill him, and capturing him-"

"-And tricking me."

She almost rolled her eyes at that.

Someone was still bitter.

"Yes, and tricking him, Danny saved my life and helped me get away from Vlad. I've travelled the world until I was about two. And I trained enough where Danny made me into the Captain of his Royal Guard and Army. And uhhh..."

She looked at Phantom, silently asking if she was missing anything. Shaking his head, Phantom added in," She may be my clone but we just call each other cousins. So trust me Superman," Phantom added with a small smile," Having a clone isn't the worst thing in the world."

Superman and almost everyone else at the table still looked uncertain at the thought of one of their strongest members having a clone.

Meanwhile, Dani gasped excitedly at the thought of a fellow clone.

"You have a clone!" Superman reeled back at the way Dani was flying around him in circles, her aura glowing brightly out of excitement," Oh can I meet him! Please please please?! My batch mates dissolved and I have never met another clone! Please!?"

Superman just stared at her as she went in circles around him, he was still trying to process the fact that another clone existed overall," I, uh..."

"Please please pleaseeeee!"

"Dani," Phantoms voice nearly boomed through the room, despite its calm tone. It was full of power and authority. It made Dani come to a stop and hunch her shoulders as she slowly turned to face Phantom. His eyes were calm, but he was still firm as he said," Calm down, give the man some air."

"Oh..." Dani ducked down bashfully and flew back over to Phantom, where she planted her feet back onto the floor and muttered an apology.

Giving her a small smile, he ruffled her hair and continued with the conversation," Moving on." Phantom chuckled when Dani slapped his hand away," How old is your clone? Physically I mean."

For the first time in a while, Batman spoke up," The clone is in his late teens. About 16 to 17 years old. His creators have already educated him, and he has no need to be taught."

Diana nodded in agreement with the man's statement, but quickly followed up with," Yes. However, he does not know how to be sociable. He is not ready to go out into the world among civilians."

Phantom shrugged his shoulder dismissively at that," Well, its better than what Dani started with. What," He looked up at Dani, who was standing on his side," You were like, 13, 14 when Vlad completed you?"

She pondered on the question for a few seconds before nodding yes, bobbing her head as she did so," Yeah. It sounds like I'm going to have to teach my new friend how to be a social butterfly." Dani was beaming as she said that.

Phantom sighed heavily.

He knew what she was hinting at.

With tired eyes, he asked the rest of the league," Can Dani go and meet Jr? She's really excited and it might help if he found out that he's not the only clone around."

They all turned to Superman for the answer.

Superman sighed heavily. Not that they could blame him, but he hated the way they all turned to him as if they were talking about a child of his instead of his clone. Rubbing the bridge of his brow, he agreed," Yes. Fine, you can see him. He's in room 306."

Dani whooped loudly, and before they knew it, she was already gone and was on her way to see her new friend.

"Sorry about that," He said with a bashful smile," Her batchmates weren't stable enough to survive, she's missed talking to another clone and such."

"How..."Flash started, the white eyepieces of his suit giving the impression that he was giving Phantom a bugged eye look," How are you so calm about this?"

Phantom shrugged his shoulder dismissively," Its easier to just accept them as a part of your family. Better to think of them as a different person rather than your clone." Phantom turned to direct his words to Superman," He may be your clone, but he didn't ask for it. He's his own person now, he's going to become a different person. You're definitely going to have to teach him how to control his powers, but unless he asks for it, you can just leave him alone."

Superman nodded in understanding. That had been the best piece of advice he had gotten all weekend, and he was going to soak in the information like he was a sponge.

"If it really bothers you, you can just think of him as a friend. Just ignore that he's your clone. And some things may be different about him. Dani is my clone but obviously she's a girl, so don't be surprised if Jr. is better at some things, or worse at other things."

The ball that was in Supermans chest started to get smaller. He felt relief at getting a semblance of an idea on what to do with his new family member (Phantom was right, it was easier to just think of him as a family member) and how to go about it.

Phantom leaned back into his chair and waved his hand around flippantly," If anything, you can send him my way. I'll get him into contact with Dani and she'll help him out."

Just Superman was just about to thank Phantom for his advice and knowledge, the excited squeal of a girl cut him off.

"Danny!" Dani appeared in the room with a struggling teenager tucked under her arm. She had a bright smile, one that was countered by the snarl that was on the teenager's face. And as soon as Phantom saw him, he knew that he was looking at the younger, and angrier clone of Superman.

Boy oh, boy did the teen not look happy at being restrained by Dani. Even as the boy growled for Dani to let him go, Dani held him up as if he was some type of pet and said," Can we take him home!? Please! I just know me and Frighty can whip him into shape! Pleaseeeeee!"

Even Phantom was surprised by her behavior," Dani!" He cried out," Put him down!"

"Yes," The boy growled out," Put me down!"

Pouting, Dani put down her hostage and let him stand on his own two feet.

Huffing and slightly red-faced, the teenager jerked himself away and fixed his clothes," So," The teen grunted out," What are you guys going to do with me? And who is this girl."

Looking around, Phantom was slightly disappointed at the way everyone was disapproving of his attitude. Granted, it wasn't the best. But it's not like the kid was going to be happy-go-lucky to find out that he was created to be a weapon and had no one to talk to. It was understandable that he was in a bitter mood.

"Oh!" And it was with that 'oh' that let Phantom know that Dani forgot to introduce herself," Danielle Phantom. I'm Phantoms clone!" The face that the teenager made said almost everything. They could still see confusion, but they could also see some sort of relief at hearing that he was not the only clone in the world.

Nevertheless, it did not go unnoticed the way the teenager still looked to Superman for guidance. It was relieving to see that Superman did not squirm under his gaze, but instead, gave him a comforting smile," This is Phantom and his clone, Dani," He motioned to the ghosts as he spoke, both of which gave the boy a nod of acknowledgment," They were giving me some advice, but it sounds like Dani wants to take him somewhere?"

That question was directed towards Phantom, who nodded his head. with a grin that was directed towards the younger clone, Phantom said," You're in luck kid. Dani is the Captain of the Royal Army and Guard. You can learn a lot from her and her associates if you let her. "

"Yes, Phantom is the ruler of his own relmn, and is one of the strongest members of the league. But," Superman added on," You can stay with me and I'll teach you instead. If you want."

The teenager looked in between everyone, looking slightly overwhelmed at everything that was going on, but he was eventually able to say something.

Showing the first emotion other than anger and confusion, the teenager asked uncertainly,"...Can I do both...? I want to learn more about my powers from you, but..." The teenager trailed off and looked at Dani, who gave him a knowing smile,"...I want to learn more from Dani. How to cope that I'm a clone. I guess..."

Even though he trailed off awkwardly, Dani was quick to move the process along.

"Great!" She dug into one of the pockets that she had on her waist and took out a small silver ring. Before anyone could question what she was doing, she jammed the ring into her skin, startling everyone when they saw her blood dripping down her skin.

The ring turned a light green, and she tossed the ring over to Danny, who repeated the process, much to everyone's confusion," The ring will let you enter my training grounds and will keep you safe in the ghost zone." Danny tossed the ring back to his clone, the ring was no longer silver, but it was a deep green with black and blue embellishments.

Dani handed the ring over to the teenager, who took it hesitantly.

Everyone looked as uncomfortable as they felt.

"...I have a feeling that I just made a mistake..."

"Oh," Phantom nearly scoffed as he looked over his shoulder, his eyes growing brightly," Dani is one of the strongest beings of our world."

Dani grinned devilishly. The sight of the ghost heroes grinning in the same devilish way sent chills down everyone's spine.

"You definitely just made a mistake."
