Love is Unexpected

Part 2

One call to Klaus somehow led to us going out to a bar with Kol and Jeremy. It was eleven by the time we drove away from the house. Klaus had shown up just as Kol and Jeremy came downstairs and declared their intention to party. I had jumped straight to scolding Jeremy for underage drinking, but I couldn't really stick to that. Since becoming a vampire and Klaus introducing me to the wonders of how alcohol numbed blood lust, I tended to drink a lot more. My attempt to tell my brother off turned to Klaus suggesting we join them so that we could keep an eye on them.

Ten minutes later, I changed into a simple black dress and a pair of black heels and followed Klaus out the door. Jeremy and Kol jumped into the back seat of Klaus' SUV. Klaus drove the four of us to a bar that was two towns away. The bar itself was loud and busy, plenty of college students and bikers mixed in together. There were a few pool tables and a dancefloor where a DJ booth had been squashed in the corner.

The tight mix of bodies and the smell of their blood was loud in my ears. I hadn't really spent time in a place as full as the bar since I turned. I took a moment and focused on Klaus' scent. It seemed to help to focus on one person.

Klaus notice me tense and reached for my hand. He held it firmly and led me through the crowd to a booth. He allowed me to slide in before sitting beside me. His arm landed over my shoulders as Jeremy dropped in across from us. Kol disappeared, declaring he would get the first round.

"How did your brooding go?" Klaus asked.

I frowned at the term. "I don't brood."

He smirked.

"Why were you brooding?" asked Jeremy.

I huffed.

Klaus chuckled.

"I got into an argument with Bonnie."

"About me," Klaus added.

"Saw that coming," said Jeremy. "I didn't think you planned on telling anyone any time soon."

"It was an accident," said Klaus.

"I can talk, you know." I nudged his stomach.

"Sorry, love." He kissed the corner of my mouth as Kol arrived and placed three beers and a scotch down. He also had shots.

I grabbed a shot and drank it; the burn felt good. It would help to numb my sensors until I adjusted.

Klaus let out a small laugh. "You okay?"

I nodded. "It's just a lot."

"Your cravings?" asked Jeremy.

I offered him a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine." I had a strong belief that Klaus wouldn't let me hurt anyone.

"So, speaking of telling people. When were you two going to admit the truth?" Klaus said.

I frowned.

He was looking at Kol and Jeremy with his knowing smirk.

"What have I missed?" I asked.

Jeremy's cheeks went red. "When we were ready. But thanks for bringing it up in front of my sister, you asshole."

Klaus laughed, as did Kol.

"Jeremy?" I pushed.

Jeremy glanced at Kol. The youngest Original brother smiled at Jeremy with a familiar smile. It was the same look I had seen in Klaus' eyes. Instead of Kol saying anything, I was surprised when he cupped Jeremy's neck and kissed him. It wasn't the type of kiss a sister would probably ever want to witness, but it answered my question.

Jeremy broke the kiss and smiled as he smacked Kol's chest.

Kol said, "Easier than explaining, handsome."

Jeremy rolled his eyes. "You are such a pain."

"You love it." Kol kissed Jeremy's shoulder.

"Did you catch them kissing? Is that why Rebekah owed you twenty bucks?" I asked.

Klaus smirked. "Kissing is one word for it." He took a sip of his drink.

"Ew."

Kol laughed.

"Now you know how I feel when I catch you and Klaus," said Jeremy.

"It was once, and you didn't knock."

"Who knocks when they walk into the kitchen?" he exclaimed.

"The kitchen? You didn't tell me that," said Kol.

"I don't exactly enjoy discussing my sister's sex life," said Jeremy.

"And I don't enjoy walking downstairs to see you devouring my brother's cock, but here we are," said Klaus.

I turned to glare at Klaus. "I didn't need or want to hear that. Thank you for that scaring mental image."

Klaus let out another laugh and leant in closer. "Let me replace it with something better." He caught my lips in a deep kiss. The arm around my shoulders pulling me close against him, his other hand sliding to rest between my thighs.

Jeremy said something, but I was too caught up in the kiss to catch it. By the time Klaus pulled back, Jeremy and Kol had disappeared. I smiled up at Klaus and wrapped my hand around his neck to twist my fingers in the bottom of his curls.

"Better?" he asked.

"I think I need a little more."

His teeth gleamed as he smiled. His hand squeezed my thigh. "With pleasure."

I would have normally drawn a line with P.D.A. I had never been one to aggressively make out with anyone in front of strangers, but Klaus seemed to bring out the desire in me. I found myself climbing into his lap, one hand behind his neck, the other cupping his cheek. Klaus' hand cupped my hip while the other slide beneath my dress.

Our kissing became much more desperate when his fingers found my centre and slid inside. I groaned against Klaus' mouth and opened my legs wider. I felt one of his fangs nick my tongue, causing a small amount of my blood to mix with our salvia.

I broke the kiss and bit down on my lip to bite back my cry as a second finger slid into me. Klaus moved his mouth to my throat and didn't hesitate to bite me. Not a single drop was spilt as he drank my blood, his fingers continuing to plunge into me.

My orgasm crashed over me not long later, my whole body shaking in Klaus' arms. He licked the bite wound until it closed before kissing me again. I could never have seen myself doing such a thing with any other person. This man seemed to give me a boldness I couldn't understand.

I shifted in Klaus' lap and left his hardened member press against my ass. I smiled against his lips. "Dance with me?"

He growled against my lips. "You want to dance right now?"

I smirked. I bit down on his lip, breaking the skin. I sucked the wound before lifting myself up and straddling his waist. "I do."

I grabbed Klaus' hand and pulled him from the booth. One of his hands wrapped around my waist, and he pressed his back against mine as we stepped onto the dance floor. The sweaty bodies of college students were all muddled together. I moved through them and stopped once we were completely surrounded. I spun around to face Klaus and wrapped my arms around his neck. The music was mainly a heavy beat; the thumping seemed to pump in time with my heart. Klaus pressed his face to my throat as we shifted together. The humans around us were moving together, their bodies pressing against ours; the sweat and the sexual desire flooded my senses.

We could have danced for seconds, it could have been hours, but we didn't stop. Klaus' hard body pressed against mine. The hard reminder that he wanted me pressing against me as I slid my body against him. Klaus' lips covered my skin, his fangs daring to bite down.

I twisted in his arms and pressed my back against his chest. Klaus kissed my neck. I looked up and noticed a red-headed girl, she couldn't be older than twenty, staring at us. Her blue eyes were filled with desire, and the red flush of her cheeks gave away what she wanted. Never before had I ever desired a woman, but I found the instincts inside of me wanting to call out to her. I leant my head back against Klaus' chest and reached out my hand to her.

Anticipation shot through me when she closed the gap and took my hand. I pulled her flush against me, Klaus pausing his administrations to my neck to notice our third party. I lifted one hand to tangle in Klaus' curls and the other to cup the girl's red lock. Her body started to rock against mine, her breasts brushing against mine and her hands sliding around Klaus' to touch my stomach and hips. I tugged her lips to mine and tasted her. She was sweet. Her lips parted for my tongue as I reached into to taste every inch of her.

Klaus groaned against my ear, and too quietly for a human to hear, said, "What have I done to you?" I could hear the soft chuckle followed by the moan as I pushed my ass back against his cock. "Naughty little minx."

I moved my mouth to the girl's throat. I could feel the thump of the blood beneath her veins. I felt the veins in my eyes shift, and my fangs expanded. I wanted to taste her.

Klaus' mouth touched my ear and said, "Not here."

I hissed as he pulled me back slightly before leading both the redhead and me off the dance floor. I tangled my fingers with hers and noticed her flushed dazed appearance as Klaus led us out the door and around towards his car.

I pulled the girl towards me as we reached Klaus' car and pressed her against the side of it. She gasped as I nipped at her throat. I sucked and licked at the thumping vein, my fangs breaking through.

I heard Klaus speak but didn't take in his words as the thumping of her veins grew louder. The girl seemed to slump against the car and go still as my fangs sank into her throat. The fresh taste of human blood was so hot and exquisite. The hot liquid poured down my throat, and I couldn't stop the growl that tore through me.

Klaus' body pressed up against mine, and he kissed my ear. "Slow down, love," he said, "enjoy it."

I whimpered and did as he said. I took slow mouthfuls, enjoying the warm blood.

"Don't take too much," he said, "you don't want to kill her."

A voice in my head told me to keep going, but I could hear the girl's heartbeat. It was starting to slow. I ignored the voice and pulled back, the last of the sweet nectar siding down my throat.

I took a deep breath as I pulled back. Klaus allowed me to step back and held up the girl who was leaning dazed against the car. My whole body was buzzing, the same way it did when I drank from Klaus. I licked my lips clean and watched as he fed the girl a small amount of his blood before compelling her. The girl blushed as she turned and walked back towards the bar.

As I watched her leave, I felt good. The first human I had ever fed off had walked away fine. Klaus had kept me balanced and in control.

Klaus turned to look at me and smiled. "How do you feel?"

I reached for him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I'm buzzing. It was such a rush."

"I'm proud of you."

I smiled widely and kissed him. "I love you."

Klaus froze.

I stepped back when I realised that it had slipped out. I hadn't meant to say it; think it, sure, but not say it.

"I'm sorry," I said. "It slipped out."

Klaus caught my hand and pulled me back against him. He trapped me between him and the car and kissed me deeply. His kisses were hard and demanding, his hands pulling at the materials of my clothes. He pushed up my dress enough to tear the panties I had been wearing off before pushing at his own clothes.

All I could do was hold on as he freed himself before pressing himself into me. I cried out as his thick length suddenly filled me. He growled against my mouth and grasped my thigh roughly.

"Say it again," he groaned.

I whimpered as he thrust in. "Klaus."

"Tell me you love me," he said.

I gasped, my head falling back against the car. His thrust sharp and hard.

"I love you," I cried.

"Again."

"I love you."

It was quick, it was hard, and it sent a powerful orgasm shooting through me. I screamed out his name as my high hit and my walls clenched around him. His own orgasm hit moments later, his mouth pressing firmly against mine as he groaned my name.

Klaus stood there, his length softening but buried inside me. His hands grasping my thighs. We both tried to catch our breath, our hearts thumping in our chests. I kissed the corner of his mouth and said, "I love you."

His face lit up in a bright smile. "I love you too."

An unexpected tear appeared in my eye and slid down my cheek. Klaus wiped it away and kissed me deeply.

Falling in love with Klaus wasn't something I had expected. But it felt so right, and I found myself wanting his love forever.

The two of us managed to pull ourselves apart before climbing into his car. Klaus sent Kol a message to find his own way home before driving us back to my house. When we arrived back at the house, we strolled up the path and stopped at the door. As I unlocked it, I paused and turned around to face Klaus.

"Don't tell me that all I get is a kiss goodnight," he said.

I chuckled. "No, but I do have something to ask you."

He tilted his head in interest.

"Would you be my date for Prom?"

He laughed. "I've never been to a Prom before."

"Really?"

He nodded. "Really."

"I thought you would be all for the high school girls."

He shrugged. "There's only one that I find all that interesting."

"Really? Do tell?"

He smirked. "She is a beautiful young woman, smart, funny, has a temper."

I smiled and stepped forward to wrap my arms around his neck.

"She has these beautiful eyes that you could get lost in. And brilliant blonde hair."

I paused and frowned.

Klaus chuckled.

"Not funny." I smacked his chest.

He wrapped me up in his arms. "It was just a joke, love. You are the only woman who has ever made this old dead heart jump." He cupped my cheek. "I love you, Elena Gilbert."

"I love you too."

I woke up later that night to a silent house and an empty bed. The sheets where Klaus had been were still warm, meaning he couldn't be too far. I listened and found his heartbeat downstairs. I pushed back the sheets and grabbed Klaus' shirt from the floor. I found him standing in the hallway, a frown etched on his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

Klaus glanced up at me. "Something woke me up." He turned towards the front door. He flipped the lock and pulled it open.

I reached the landing and watched him. "Did you hear something?"

Without turning around, he said, "I felt a presence. Someone had to be inside the house, but they were gone before I made it downstairs."

"Kol?"

He shook his head. "No; familiar presences wouldn't make me feel so uneasy."

It set me on edge. Who had come into my home? Things were mostly calm in Mystic Falls and had been seen, Esther woke up. The only other strange occurrence was the killings that had occurred. Last I had heard anything about it was when Caroline's father had died and when Alaric had been targeted.

"Let's go back to bed." Klaus closed and locked the door before stepping up onto the landing with me.

"I don't know if I can go back to sleep knowing someone was in here."

Klaus took my hand. "Love, as long as I'm here, no one will ever hurt you."

I smiled at his words and let him lead me up the stairs.
