Irina tapped her foot impatiently on the concrete floor as the darkness outside little by little consumed the land, leaving her stranded another night here. It felt like she had been waiting forever. Whatever Heisenberg had to show her had better be worth the annoyance she'd have to go through.
Sighing, she began to pace.
Where was he? Had he forgotten about her?
No. He was fucking with her; he had to have been.
She decided to leave; to take her chances in the dark, but as she stomped towards the entrance door, she heard a noise and turned to see Heisenberg across the room, coming out of the door she took when she first came to the factory.
He narrowed his eyes, aware that she had been attempting to leave.
"The sun went down," she pointed out.
He motioned for her to come to him.
"What are you bitching for? I have to give up a bed."
She snorted. "Boo fucking hoo."
Heisenberg grinned and went back through the door; Irina followed. Leading her down the hall, he opened the door to the room he first met her in, sauntering over to the square door on the floor, tossing it open.
She stood in fear, heart pounding in her chest.
The hell?
Was he going to make her get into the hole again?
"I thought you wanted to show me something," she mentioned.
Was she wrong to assume that she was useful to him? The words came out of his mouth, didn't they?
Snorting he used his power to bring a chair over to the edge of the hole.
"Take a seat," he ordered. "It's not fun a second time, trust me."
Irina wanted to laugh. Trust him? She shook her head.
"Sit down," he insisted, sighing in annoyance.
She took a deep and uneasy breath but did as he commanded, taking a seat in the chair. Irina peered hesitantly into the hole, but there was nothing down there; the same dirty room she had dropped into, but nothing of interest.
"Wha––
"Give me a damn second," Heisenberg interrupted with a snap.
Retrieving a cigar from the desk across from him, he lit it, taking a hit, and stood at the edge of the hole.
"There it is," he pointed out.
Irina peered into the room.
Where? What was it?
She heard a low roar, then a monster emerged from the shadows of the room, lunging towards the hole with a snap of its deformed jaw. Irina shrieked in fear, almost coming out of her seat.
What in the hell was that thing? An animal? Her heart pounded in her chest. Somehow she knew it was human, or rather, it used to be.
The creature lunged at the hole again, thankfully missing.
"Amazing, isn't it?"
Irina shook her head, at a loss for words.
It was horrifying.
Heisenberg flicked his ashes into the hole, moving behind her. He leaned down and pointed to the far corner of the room.
"This is what I wanted you to see," he uttered.
The hairs on her nape stood as his warm breath brushed across her skin.
From the shadows another creature emerged, teeth chattering as it advanced towards the animal-like monster with haste. Chainsaws were attached to its arms, humming lowly.
"Its name is Klinge," Heisenberg mentioned.
The name I saw on the paper down below.
The smell of his cigar made Irina tear up. Or perhaps it was because she was terrified.
Having seen Klinge, the animal roared and dropped onto all fours, lunging at it. It leaped into the air and onto the creature, burying its sharp claws into its stomach, tearing its skin with ease. Blood hit the floor with a wet spurt.
Irina heard Heisenberg snarl in her ear.
"Fight back freak," he ordered.
Klinge groaned and its chainsaw roared to life. Lifting an arm, the blade tore into the monster's side, making it cry out. Once it released Klinge and backed away, the creature rammed the chainsaw into its stomach, tearing the blade through its side; its intestines hung like a rope.
How horrible, Irina thought.
The animal released a guttural scream and slummed back, dropping onto the ground with a wet and disgusting slap, then disintegrated into dust.
Heisenberg praised it, laughing and uttering something her ears could no longer hear. There was only static.
Klinge was his creation. As was the auger monster and the pets he mentioned.
Her stomach churned. What did she help him make? And why?
Wasn't it obvious?
Shooting up, she tried to run around him, but he caught her and tossed her over his arm. Irina kicked and screamed for him to release her, but he moved her over to the desk and tossed her onto it, standing between her legs and pinning her thighs down.
Irina sobbed. "Let me––
"Shut the fuck up."
He grabbed her face and pressed his mouth onto hers in a rough kiss.
What is he––
Irina tensed up. Why?
As he released her, she noticed the anger in his expression.
"I'm going to kill that bitch," he explained.
Tears rolled down her face.
"Understand that your best chance of leaving this village is through me, so you had better learn to suck it up and do as I tell you," Heisenberg added.
Her thoughts were a mess.
She nodded without ever even knowing what she was agreeing to.
In hindsight, had she known, she would have never gone back to the Duke that day.
