Part 2

It took a long time for Marinette to forgive her class, but soon forgave them and were once again friends. Lila tried many times to slander Marinette Dupain Cheng's name, but once Jagged Stone, Adrien Agreste and a few other celebrities that Marinette knew spoke positively about this French/Chinese girl who was an accomplished designer in her own rights.

After that Lila Rossi got nothing but Trolls and people writing to her telling her to stop with her lies- eventually Lila stopped altogether when her mother warned her that if she didn't stop then she would stay with Grandmama Rossi. Lila shuddered and knew that she ended up living with her Grandmother then she wouldn't get away with half of the things she had done, knowing she had lost the war deleted her profiles on social media after all the insults she was getting.

The biggest change in Marinette's life was that the boy she loved was happily talking about an amazing girl with soft blue hair, who was talented, amazing and beautiful. Alya thinking it was her best friend encouraged her girl to confess her feelings, Nino knowing what his girlfriend was doing was trying to warn Marinette not to tell his bro how she felt. Alya thinking she was helping pulled Nino to one side leaving the two alone to talk, Nino stopped his girlfriend's ship from sailing as he told her that Marinette wasn't the girl Adrien was talking about.

Adrien smiled warmly at his best friend who nervously stuttering that there was something she wanted to tell him, Adrien Agreste thought the world of Marinette as she helped him many times including being his support when watching one of his mother's movies. being there as she squeezed his hand and smiling at him when the movie was over was one thing he would never forget.

Adrien could see that Marinette was nervous as he encouraged him to tell him what she was needed to say, this was it Marinette took a deep breath and finally stuttered out that she loved him. Adrien's smile dropped as Marinette covered her eyes embarrassed, as hard as it was Adrien sighed as he grabbed Marinette's hands gently in his.

"Mari, you're an amazing girl, our everyday Ladybug and one of my precious friends. I wish I could return your feelings, but there is someone else that owns my heart... I'm sorry Marinette that I hurt you."

Marinette bravely held back her tears smiling telling the boy she loved that it was fine as long as they were friends, Adrien felt bad for hurting the girl as he tried to comfort her. Marinette pulled back and rubbing the back of her neck she smiled that this time didn't reach her eyes as she said she needed to go as she was needed by her parents in the Bakery. "Marinette, wait... I" Adrien was about to run after the girl but was stopped by Nino telling him to leave her be as Alya not wanting her friend left alone chased after her best friend.

"Nino, I..."-

"I know dude, let Alya sort this one."

Adrien felt guilty and wanted to apologize before he could run in the direction of the Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie when Gorilla pulled up in the car and Natalie stepped out with her iPad in her hand reminding the boy that he had Fencing Classes followed by Chinese. Knowing that he wasn't going to win an argument with Nathalie Sancoeur as he reluctantly got into the car and drove away to his after school classes.

Since it was a Tuesday, Alya stayed over at Marinette's to comfort her, apologising repeatedly that she was sorry and that she didn't know. Marinette wiped her tears away, she knew that Adrien was in love with someone and always thought that one day maybe he would see her. Alya didn't know what to say to make things better for her pig-tailed friend but hold till she cried herself to sleep.

That night Adrien knew that Nino and Alya were trying to get him alone with Marinette and he didn't understand till now why as he was in love with a brave, beautiful, kind, talented and intelligent Ladybug who was confident and knew what to do in each situation. As Chat Noir he tried everything he could think of to get his Lady's attention, after a while Chat Noir/ Adrien Agreste finally gave up in his pursuit of Ladybug and turned his attentions to someone else and only hope his good friend would help him.

Before Adrien could ask his friend to help when his black cat kwami zipped out of his shirt demanding his Camembert, as soon as his holder gave him what he wanted Plagg sat down on Adrien's desk. "So, when are you going to ask the Baker Girl on a date. I'm so looking forwards to warm crusty bread with my cheese," Adrien looked at Plagg in confusion as he explained that Marinette was only a friend as he was going to ask Kagami on a date.

"Look kid, Kagami is... well she's Kagami and the way you're going I won't get my bread." Said Plagg in mock sadness before eating his wedge of cheese and looking for another piece, while rummaging through the cupboards sadly Plagg whispered to himself.

"No jokes Adrien if you don't open your eyes to the girl, you'll lose the other half of your yang. Anyway even if I told you Tikki will kill me as that kwami is one you don't mess with, she nearly killed me after the dinosaur incident."

Through the evening Sobbing into her pillow, Marinette heard the sweet voice of her best friend asking if she was all right. "I'm ok Alya, I just read too much into something about Adrien's crush thinking it was me." Alya not knowing what to do sat next to her best friend wiping away the tears, "Is there anything I can do. Get some dirt on her, or even hate her on your behalf."

Marinette laughed and told her best friend that whoever the girl was was the one that Adrien wanted and she was happy for him, also to make things easier for him they should try and be friends with his girlfriend. "Oh, Mari, no matter how much you're hurting you still think of others before yourself, you what people say have a heart of gold but if you ever change your mind." The blue-haired girl then laughed as she told Alya that it would take some time before she could get over Adrien Agreste.

The following morning Alya called all the girls and arranged a day out before going to school the next day, Juleka, Mylene, Rose, Alix had heard what happened and wanted to cheer her up. Both Chloe and Sabrina had better things to do and was going to enjoy her day instead of wiping Marinette's tears, Alya just rolled her eyes as all the girls made a day of eating junk food and horror movies that were so bad they should have been a comedy. Well, the movies made Alix laugh.

The next day Marinette was feeling a little better and was heading to class when Chloe and Sabrina stopped her, thinking she was going to get laughed at for Adrikins rejecting her- what she didn't expect was Chloe actually being nice to her.

"Look Baker-Girl, we may not get along and frankly I'm going to say this and I will deny it if you say anything. Adrien may not be boyfriend material for you, but you will always have him in your life as a friend."

Marinette didn't know what to say, smiling the blue-haired girl thanked the blonde who rolled her eyes. "Don't get used to it Mari-Brat, come on Sabrina this is getting utterly ridiculous now." Weirdly, Marinette felt better after her some-what conversation with Chloe Bourgeois, instead of thinking about it Marinette's got into class just as the bell rang and sat down next to Alya.

While sitting next to Alya taking notes for class, Alya wished she knew what she could do to cheer her friend up. Marinette sadly smiled as she promised she was fine and was truly happy for Adrien as this girl must be an honest and caring person to catch Adrien's attention.

The next several weeks were hard for Marinette and even more so was when Adrien introduced everyone to his girlfriend Kagami, the Japanese born girl was strict in some parts but she was a warm person and truly cared for Adrien. Alya had a few ideas to get her two best friends together, but Marinette decided that it would be better if she stepped aside as Kagami was the one that made Adrien happy.

Marinette decided to be the friend she should have been instead of thinking of schemes to get to the boy she loved, and if Adrien wanted to be with Kagami Tsurugi then she would back off and leave them to their date instead of being the third wheel in the relationship. Right now Adrien wanted ideas on where he wanted to take his girlfriend, since it was their first date Marinette suggested to keep it simple like a picnic in the park looking at the River Seine as it would be the best romantic place to talk and get to know each other better outside of fencing classes.

Adrien looked confused as he was expecting Mari to be there to help with everything, the blue-pigtailed girl just laughed and said she would arrange a picnic with sandwiches and passionfruit macarons with orange juice and other treats they would like and since tomorrow was Wednesday and there was no school she'll have more time to fix everything.

For the next few weeks, Marinette kept herself busy with the latest fashion creations by working alongside Jagged Stone by making clothes for his Crocodile Fang, for some reason Fang adored Marinette and always behaved when she was measuring him. This impressed the Singer and asked to design his latest album label, that wasn't all that changed. Juleka had invited everyone to her Houseboat Liberty to watch Kitty Section practise, that was where she met Juleka's older brother Luka.

Walking to the back of the boat to watch the clouds roll by when her eyes turned to the cutest boy with beautiful teal eyes she ever saw, Luka smiled warmly and chuckled when awkwardly introduced herself. "Nice to meet you ma ma Marinette, my name's lu lu, Luka." Said the young man with a laugh, when Marinette's smile faded he apologised as he explained he spoke better with his music.

Their conversation started with a Jagged Stone poster and how both liked the same music, that was when Luka gave Marinette one of his favourite guitars picks with a picture of jagged Stone's face on it. Thanking Luka she was about to hug him when she realised that Luka was needed for practice not knowing she was being watched.

"For I speak better with my music, yeah he better ba ba back away from your girl."-

"Plagg stop it, for the last time I'm not jealous as Marinette is my friend."-

"Ok kid I believe you, and your father's latest fashion line is green with envy."

Plagg soon shut up when his beloved Camembert was threatened, Adrien had chosen Kagami and yet if he was truly interested in his girlfriend why hasn't he even tried to kiss her, not that he wanted to see that disgusting act as it would spoil his appetite. Another thing that bothered the cat kwami was that Adrien always wanted to spend time with Marinette than he wanted to be with his girlfriend even if it was with Nino and Alya.

while Marinette was talking with Luka, Adrien Agreste introduced everyone to Kagami, everyone was warmly greeting the girl as Adrien was looking around for someone. Adrien's smile turned to a frown when he saw Luka was openly flirting with Marinette come, feeling eyes on him Luka's blue eyes landed on Adrien and smiled not wanting a confrontation as he asked Adrien if he could play the keyboard as Nino and Alya told him he played the piano.

To be close to Marinette without looking like he was readily agreed as got on stage and began to play, Kagami silently supported her boyfriend as Marinette like the others cheered the band. Everyone was enjoying themselves when Officer Raincomprix stepped onto the houseboat and demanded the music to stop, Captain Anarka was protesting but Roger Raincomprix issued her a ticket and that was when Anarka was akumatised and became Captain Hardrock.

Thanks to Ladybug and Chat Noir with the help of Luka who was a distraction were able to save Anarka Couffaine, yet again Chat Noir was flirting as Ladybug rolled her eyes and playfully booped him on the nose before thanking Luka. All Luka was concerned about was Marinette as he couldn't find her through the chaos and lost her in the crowd, Ladybug warmly smiled as she assured the boy that Marinette was safe and sound and was proven right when a few minutes later Marinette came running around the corner asking if anyone was all right. That was when Luka hugged Marinette relieved that she was fine, while Luka was checking on the girl Kagami ran over to Adrien and hugged not seeing that her boyfriend's eyes were looking over his shoulder towards his best friend who was in another boy's arm
