The Reluctant Prince

Sora had always taught Kiro to return lost things; which he tried to do as much as he could. But he hadn't expected a new outfit in return. Nor was he expecting to get kidnapped. By this peppy girl, but who could've predicted that? Kiro could sense a lot of mana in her, quite a bit more than himself. That brought up a memory. Of when he was kidnapped by a crazy Keyblade wielder. All he knew was that it was a girl and had intense magical might. He cursed himself for surrendering to that girl, like some yellow bellied coward. But as he was about to dive into the memory. The girl's voice cut into his thoughts.

"Zidane, Nanaki!" she called. Kiro's head snapped up. He was suddenly looking at a boy about Kaen's age. With blonde hair a bit tied up in the back. He had a White collared sleeveless shirt with an ascot decorated with a tie and some beads. Under that was a teal to green vest. That opened up at the bottom. He had a bunch of belts around his waist, holding up a couple of scabbards. Grey boots with some metal plating on them. And green, blue and grey gloves with a large blue cuff. Oddly enough he had a blonde monkey tail to match his hair. The other creature beside him was a large Lion like wolf creature. With bright red fur. It had a different shade of red paint markings on its cheeks. There seemed to be a black ink on his body where scars were. Kiro's eyes were drawn to the fire on his tail. Kiro was in awe but quickly composed himself. He was on his own here. He was going to have to be social without his family around and not look like an easily distracted moron.

"Hi there I'm Kiro!" he said.

"Amei drag you here?" the blonde asked Kiro could only nod.

"He just looked lonely." Amei replied shuffling her feet shyly. How could she tell?! He had to change the subject fast.

"So which is which!?" Kiro yelped his voice cracking. "Really; idiot?!" he thought mentally kicking himself. As his mouth parted into a weird toothy grin.

The older boy chuckled. "I'm Zidane." He said placing a hand on his chest before moving it to gesture towards his comrade.

"My name is Nanaki." The beast added.

"I see good to meet you…" Kiro said before composing himself. "This is gonna sound weird, but have you heard of someone named Sora?"

"The great, Keyblade hero, who hasn't?!" Zidane replied excitedly. Kiro nodded he had heard of him.

"Well I'm his- I mean I'm looking for him!" Kiro said correcting himself quickly. Maybe his parentage was something he should keep to himself for now. "Have you seen him?"

"I don't think anyone has not recently, that's what I've heard." Zidane replied in a worried tone. Kiro's heart skipped worriedly at this. No one had seen his father, did that mean….He shook the thought out of his head. There was no way his father, would die so easily.

"Well okay thanks for your help." Kiro replied politely before leaving. Maybe he should try heading for home next? No! After what he done? Riku wouldn't want to look at his face! His family was like family to his own. And he betrayed that. He looked around the Kingdom Argonia was its name. It was a simple but beautiful town. Well built houses with visible wooden frames. Holding together stone walls with well rafted bronze, shingled rooves. And straight well working chimneys of brick. The streets, themselves were also made with red cobble stone. A few lined each side of the whole street. Which was split in two; but had some grass in the middle that had some gardening behind it. The whole city was built on top and around a river and water fall. The castle itself seemed to be in two connecting parts. With this in mind. A Beautiful waterfall flowed from the castle giving it an extra bit of beauty. As it flowed into the city. Each side of the street; was connected by two bridges. With the river flowing through the middle. As he passed the various folk dressed in some medieval wear he began to hear whispers.

"Today's the day. Prince Charmless- ehhh Charmles will have to partake in the in the Initiation ceremony of the royal family." Said a man grimly as the woman accompanying him raised an eyebrow.

"Doesn't he hate lizards? The ritual requires the heir kill an Argon Lizard, our Kingdom is named after them!" she added incredulously.

"Yeah ironic isn't it?" the man added flatly. It sounded like the Prince was an unimpressive individual but he was a prince and Kiro was Kiro surely he had somethings over Kiro when it came to quality after all he didn't get his parents killed. His thoughts were broken by people screaming and scattering Heartless had appeared.

There were a few solider Heartless as well as some shadow Heartless. Even some Archer Heartless but a new variety Kiro had never seen before they looked like small dragons with small wings and jagged teeth with fiery spines and flames on their tail they roared launching fire balls Kiro quickly slashed at one with his Keyblade to defuse it. He took a deep breath there was quite a lot.

"Hey need a hand!" Zidane shouted suddenly rushing to his side. Kiro was grateful and nodded. As a Draco Heartless rushed forward Nanaki roared at it. Then jumped at it, slashing the Heartless, with his claws. Amei shot several magic bullets out at one. That had tried to sneak up behind Nanaki. The blast, had stunned it long enough, for her to follow up with, Blizzara on it. And freeze the Heartless. Nanaki seeing the frozen Heartless took the opportunity to slam into it shattering it. Her staff was a simple silver one with a large blue crystal nested in a small ringed base at the top. Just below it was a curl on each side of the staff. Same with each side of the crystal. On one side were a pair of small crystal orbs one a baby green the other a baby blue. The crystals on the other side were orange and lavender.

Amei jumped back, as several Shadow Heartless surrounded her. "Thundera!" She shouted killing the Heartless instantly. Zidane had cleaved his way through several solider Heartless; that, were charging at people. He was actually pretty good with a two blade style. Which he suddenly connected in the middle to create a pole arm. With a good spin above his head a couple of Solider Heartless that had jumped at him, were taken out. The Blades were purple with a red gradient edged in silver with a silver swirl pattern running down each blade towards a gold handguard.

Kiro had cast Bio on the Draco Heartless that survived but it was still standing he knew that fire spells would not work on this thing and would actually heal it. He needed to learn Blizzard spell again fast! Kiro kept clear of its giant jaws and focused as hard as he could his mana feeling chill goosebumps he fired crying out.

"Blizzard!" Kiro shouted unleashing a powerful burst of ice freezing the Heartless in place. Kiro jumped as high as he could and slammed his Keyblade into the frozen Heartless shattering it completely. He grinned at his success.

"Way to go uhh," Zidane said blanking. They never got his name.

"It's Kiro," He replied coolly. They were suddenly approached by some soldiers. Kiro froze up wondering what he did wrong he prepared for the worst.

"The King would like to see you all, he noticed your battle." Said the soldier.

"He did?" Amei asked before noting. "You know I just realized we're not that far from the castle are we." She said gesturing to a large stone castle with blue rooves just as eloquently built if not more so than the town of Argonia. Kiro looked up at it feeling a bit intimidated. He decided to keep behind Zidane and the others. They began to enter the castle. Just stepping inside impressed the small boy. The rugs on the floor with a deep ruby rimmed in gold. There was a beautifully crafted fountain right at the entrance. No doubt pumped in from the waterfall. They then climbed to the second floor.

Kiro simply kept silent as they were led by one of the guards. Zidane was checking out some of the girls that were passing by Amei was asking about various pots and pans. She quickly shut up and stood attention when they were in front of the King. Zidane, her and Nanaki bowed. Everyone introduced themselves. Even Kiro, who was a bit intimidated by the man's stern demeanor. It took a second to catch up. He wore a green pill box hat with a gold crown pattern on the front. Perhaps to be comfortable while not needing the crown for special events. Made sense, gold was the heaviest yet weakest metal. Easily dented not something you wanted for a crown. But add gemstones on top of the weight of gold. It would be very irritating to wear that all day every day. He had a large frilled white collar with a red ascot in the middle of his torso. Underneath was a gold and green tunic. Over it was a Green coat with an orange rim at the edges that went a bit down his white puffy pants. And orange and gold cuffs with Gilded buttons, With Grey Boots. He had curly blonde hair and a matching mustache.

"Greetings," the King spoke allowing them to stand. "I am Clavius King of Argonia. I saw your heroics in the town square, bravo. It's been many years since a Keyblade Wielder has come to Argonia. The three turned to Kiro who wanted to make himself, invisible but now was not the time to be a coward.

"I'm surprised your majesty." Kiro replied. "If I may it seems you need our help with something." He added trying to change the subject. While being an indiscreet and as rigid and proper as possible. The King nodded. It looked as though Kiro was stuck with them. Until after whatever task King Clavius had for them. I need your help to find my son.

"Oh is he hurt?" Amei jumped in.

"No he is simply hiding. You're not from these lands. So I'll explain though, I don't doubt you've heard whispers by now." Clavius replied. "It is time for him as an heir to the throne. To take on the Royal Initiation."

"We've heard but what is that exactly?" Zidane asked.

"Every heir to the Argonian throne upon their eighteenth year. Must, prove themselves worthy to succeed the throne. By slaying an Argon Lizard in the Royal Hunting grounds. But he refuses to partake. My son is not fond of lizards and Argon Lizards are mighty. So you can imagine his fright at the combination. I have figured a solution to this and another group has promised to escort him in secret. To the Royal Hunting grounds and assist him. But with these Dark creatures about; the task is even more daunting than I anticipated. It seems the Keyblade is able to permanently dispatch them.

"So you want me to go too?" Kiro asked surprised.

"All of you if possible, I assumed you were all traveling together. There are tales of a Keyblade Master who traveled with a Knight and a Wizard to vanquish evil." Kiro's heart lit up at this. He loved hearing people talk like that about his father. Especially coming from a world that despised him, as much as humanly possible.

"Well we weren't but we can. What do you say Kiro?" Zidane asked.

Kiro was taken aback. He kind of didn't want too. He was much more interested in searching for his parents as quickly as possible. But with all the expectant eyes on him he felt a little forced. "Sure." He said trying to sound more okay with it than he felt. He had to think positively. It was only for a little while. Maybe this first group knew where Sora was. He'd ask the King when they were done. And besides it might keep Corrum off his back for a bit. He'd mention he was one of Corrum's students later.

Zidane took the lead leading the others to another section of the castle. The third floor of the west wing to be precise. Kiro noticed the aura, Zidane gave off he had traveled worlds before and had done it a lot. It was easy to tell with his confidence and cool head in what for Kiro felt like he was taking a difficult final exam at School.

"Oh that must be them!" Zidane said pointing to a group. Kiro gasped to himself it was the group from the first Stain Glass he saw in his dream. Except this time they weren't just images in a solid background of color.

The boy had a blue tunic with grey pants and boots with a very short sleeved orange jacket that extended to his calves. He had a sword strapped to his back and a Red headband tied over his brown hair.

The thug was stocky but well built. He had a scar on his cheek. He had a spiked yellow helmet made out of some kind of material. He had a fur vest with a bare exposed chest underneath, a red sash and green, stripped pants. Green to be precise and pointed yellow shoes, then there was the girl who looked around the same age as the boy. She had bright red hair in pig tails a low cut purple top with a yellow bodice and red long skirt. The slightly older man had white hair a red Templar outfit with Grey boots with a small cape over his right shoulder. His hair similar to Zidane's had been tied behind his head. Implying much longer hair than you'd think at first glance. Unlike Zidane's however his was white and the front made to look as short as possible. And the braid in the back was a bit longer than Zidane's.

"Oh!" the girl said noticing them as they all turned. Kiro kind of shrunk back a little. "Hey there the king asked us to come help you." Zidane said.

"He did?" the boy asked. "Those dark creatures I'll bet."

"Yeah he did mention that." Amei added.

"They're called Heartless they're monsters born from the darkness in people's heart." Nanaki added.

"Souns' like somenin, dat Dhoulmagus cooked up eh?" The Thug suggested.

"No another person is responsible for Heartless in the realm of light. But, if he's powerful. I wouldn't doubt he taken control of the population that has shown up here." Nanaki replied.

"Who is Dhoulmagus?" Zidane asked.

"Well, let's start by introducing ourselves. I'm Ehro." The boy replied. "This is Yangus." He gestured to the thug before moving along to the girl. "Jessica," then he gestured to the Templar, "Angelo."

"I'm Zidane. This is Amei, Nanaki and Kiro." Zidane said gesturing to each name's owner. As he went to the small red head who; let an 'eep' escape from his throat and blushed.

"Hey there," Kiro squeaked feeling like he was dragged into the spot light. He shot a glare at Zidane who exchanged a genuine confused look. Guess Kiro was just shy, he'd have to remember that next time.

Ehro continued on. "One day, in the Kingdom of Trodain where I'm from. A traveling wizard came to preform, at the castle. The King let him in seeing no harm in it. At first….Then he made cruel puns about the King and his daughter, Mare-dea and Troll-dain" Ehro replied shaking in anger slightly before trailing off. But during the night, King Trodain and his daughter Medea caught him trying to make off with a mysterious scepter. That had been entrusted to the Royal family of Trodain for generations. When confronted he unleashed a terrible curse upon the castle. The castle was left desolated covered in cursed vines and shrubbery the people turned into plants. The King and Princess were…"he stated before Amei cut him off.

"Cursed to look like those horrible puns?!" she asked worriedly.

"Yeah," He replied Amei gasping silently in horror.

"Ever since then, Dhoulmagus has been on a killing spree he killed his old master. My brother Alistair…" she said sadly still stricken with grief before continuing. "As well as Abbot Francisco; and Mr. Golding who apparently, managed to injure him before he did."

"We need to strike now while the fiend is still recovering. And we need the magic mirror to do it." Angelo added. "That's why we've agreed to help the Prince in his initiation."

"That's quite the story." Zidane said in awe.

Kiro's heart went out to them. But what could he do? No way his magic was strong enough to break the curse. Let alone stand against this Dhoulmagus. And he was only doing this to distract Corrum. Once he was done that he was out of here. So for now at least they had to help Charmles get to his initiation. And get it done.

"I need you all to do me a favor." Ehro suddenly said bringing him out of his thoughts. "Keep that curse a secret even from the Prince and King. Trodain doesn't want him or Medea to be seen as they are now."

"I can imagine," Kiro said piping in. "So where do we find the Prince." Angelo merely moved towards a nearby door and knocked.

"I'm not coming out! Try to bweak in and I'll bite my tongue off." threatened a nasally voice with a slight strange thick accent. Honestly Angelo's voice was something he expected for a prince. Although he had an air about him that seemed like he wasn't as holy or humble. As you'd expect a servant soldier of a God to be. As for Charmles the fact that he immediately threatened self-harm as a scare tactic. Was enough to tell Kiro that he was very spoiled; which could only mean 'good things.'

"How are we gonna get 'im out've 'ere guv?" Yangus asked Ehro. He had an idea.

"I think I know." Ehro said with a grin. They followed him to a store room above the room. Charmles had locked himself in. In front of a small hole. In a store room above behind some pottery. "One of the servants told me the Prince hates Lizards. I hate to do this, but we're not getting anywhere unless we scare him out." He went over to it. And knelt down reaching for something in his coat pocket. Out came a small tan colored mouse with spiked brown hair in a Mohawk down its back. And a tuft of that same hair. It sat in Ehro's hand and he lowered it towards the Hole.

"Go on Munchie," Ehro instructed. Running off its owner's hand. The Mouse entered inside.

Munchie had seen a lizard and started tailing it. Herding it towards a hole in the floor. Right above the Prince's head, and Landing right on it.

"ICK, ICK, A LIZAWD! WHAT'S IT DOING IN HEWE!? GET IT OUT, GET IT OUT!" shouted the Prince's voice as they saw a blur of green and red rush out of the room below. The group calmly headed down stairs back to the throne room where the Prince had ended up having been seized by the soldiers nearby.

"Ahh, perfect timing Ehro, Kiro," said Clavius. As he stood up, to gesture to the prince, "Allow me to introduce Prince Charmles: The future King of Argonia."

Poor Argonia…

"What is all this fathew?" the boy asked. "Why awe you wasting my time with dis wiff-waff?!" he spat.

Charming…More like charmless, Charmles was a fat round boy with squinted eyes. The Same blonde hair as his father a few large tufts. Curling up at the side of his face and in the back. He had a White Ascot which looked a bit more like a bib. With a white frilled shirt with frilled sleeves underneath the green colored jacket. With red shoulder pads and cuffs with gold pin stripes at the edges. Red balloon pants similar to Yangus' with white leggings and brown pointed shoes, the King spoke again sternly.

"They're going to be protecting you during the initiation. They need to know who you are." Clavius finished.

"Initiation!?" Charmles spat. "Who said anything about the Initiation!? I don't wecall, agweeing to that!" Kiro inwardly groaned. This wasn't an escort mission! This was babysitting; like he thought before 'good things!' "I hate, Lizawds how many times do I have to tell you!?"

"It's still your royal duty from what I gathered." Kiro thought grumpily. "I don't want to escort you! Your royal pain. But I'm still doing it. Because it's required of me!"

"Listen carefully, enough is enough, Charmles!" Clavius said growing weary and speaking slowly. But sharply and sternly retaining a patience for his bratty son. "I am aware of your aversion to the initiation. But it remains your duty to complete it!" He finished confirming Kiro's thoughts. "You won't be able to marry princess Medea until you prove your worth." He added. Maybe it was for the best if he didn't? Kiro glanced at Zidane's group. Zidane was rolling his eyes skillfully avoiding being noticed. Nanaki's ears were flattened staring at Charmles with a dull look unimpressed look. Amei had a half-lidded look with her cheek puffed on one side looking annoyed whenever Clavius' back was turned, changing her look quickly when his head directed towards her.

"Well, I don't cawe about getting mawwied anyway!" Charmless snippily replied.

"You're making a mistake Charmles." Clavius warned. "I hear Princess Medea is well…" he said before gesturing to Jessica. "Vaa, vaa, VOOOOOM!" he said pointing out Jessica's chest and curves. "You understand what I'm saying…." He said in a sly tone. Zidane and Charmles lit up. The former smiled a little imaging her in her human form. While Charmles let out a huge wow turning bright red. Kiro felt disgusted by him for this. "Now have you reconsidered?"

Jessica let out a grunt of disgust. She had turned red too. But it was from embarrassment. She tapped her foot. Staring at the floor with a visibly angry look. "You can leave me, out of this thank you!" She said in a noticeable growl.

Clavius slightly embarrassed by his use of such a tactic composed himself. Quickly clearing his throat. "Anyway, my son; do you realize, what people say about you behind your back? This is your chance, to prove yourself! Show the world that you're a man!" he encouraged. These people can assure your safety! Well Charmles do you accept?"

"Uhhhh, yes?" Charmles said his mind still slightly on Medea. Before hearing his own words. "I mean no!" it went back to Medea. "I mean, Ohhh, don't know!" he groaned. Unsavory tactic or not it worked. And so did this one.

"I heard a yes," Clavius said grinning. "That's my prince! I'll make sure everyone believes you're doing it on your own!" he assured. "You will leave now and hide in the wagon. At the city gates and await your body guards."

"W...Wuh, wuh, wight now?" Charmles asked timidly. Kiro watched intently feeling a tinge of catharsis.

"Chancellor, accompany Charmles to the city gate! The prince is leaving for his initiation!" Clavius said his voice brimming with pride. "Summon the royal guards the Prince must have a fittingly ostentatious send off." He added a stern reminder right after. "Remember he is leaving. On. His. Own."

The chancellor sighed. "It shall be as you wish your majesty….." he said grabbing Charmles by the collar of his coat and dragging him away.

"But waiiiit!" Charmles cried helplessly as he flailed. "I'm not weady yet!" Kiro watched with a slightly evil smirk. Clavius didn't hear him stifle a chuckle fortunately.

"Off at last!" Clavius sighed in egregious relief. "I wish you the best of luck. And remember Kiro, Ehro your mission is top secret."

"Yes sir!" they replied.

"Charmles will explain the details of the initiation himself," Clavius added. A bit of info, was a surprise to a skeptical, Kiro. "Remember fulfill my request and the magic mirror shall be yours." Ehro nodded as they headed out and traveled through the town. The People were chattering excitedly about how Charmles seemed to be proving them wrong. How they couldn't believe that he went off on his own.

"Let's hurry," Kiro muttered. Wanting to leave these conversations behind as quickly as possible. Corrum liked getting cozy with world leaders. So hopefully this would be worth it in the end.

They made it outside. Once they were a fair distance away from the castle town. Charmles came out of the wagon. He stretched out bending back a little and standing on the tips of the balls on his feet before speaking. "That stinky old wagon is far too small for me." He complained. "Maybe I could stretch my legs if you got rid of that worthless pot." He added.

Kiro bit his tongue eating was a bit more important than comfort. He stiffened when Charmles approached the front of the cart, where Trode was. "Good Gweif! What's that?! What kind of people are you! Traveling with a fweak like that?!"

Kiro watched hotly as Trode's eyes looked annoyed and a bit pained but he took a breath. Yangus whispered to Trode.

"Here, grandad, you'd O' bitten my 'ead off, if I'd said somefin like that! I'm a King you half-witted twerp!" He finished in not too bad of an impression from what Kiro could tell listening to Trode's voice.

"Come closer." He said Yangus leaned in as did Kiro. "Look at us!" he hissed. "Don't you see? We can't tell him his fiancé has turned into a horse! Much better to keep the truth a secret for now! Make sure everyone knows to keep it under their hats." They nodded.

"If you defeat Dhoulmagus the curse should break." Kiro whispered.

"That's what we're hoping." Trode replied. He then spoke up to the Prince. "Oh Prince Charmless!" he said politely yet blowing off a bit of anger about the insult. "What is our destination?"

"It's Sharm-lay you clot." Charmless hissed. "Just head east; eventually we'll weach the Woyal Hunting Gwound. That's where the initiations take place." His eyes widened slightly just then. "Oh and befowe I forget Ehwo." He said handing the brunette a small elegant looking bottle. Kiro wanted to ask but decided not to since it would only get him an insult. He wanted to have less of those going forward. But he did get his answer regardless. "This vial contains a powdew that masks human scent. You must spwinkle it on youwselves before we entew the Woyal Hunting Gwound. Awgon lizawds awe vewy sensitive to smell. If they get wind of ouw unmasked scent, they'll wun away! In othew wowds we got to smell like lizawds to find lizawds." He said steeling his nerves.

"They probably won't, after getting a wiff of how bad Charmless smells." Zidane whispered to Kiro. He almost burst out laughing but made a few loud chuckles that got noticed by Charmles. Kiro managed to make it look like he was coughing.

"Anywaaayyy," Charmles huffed. "I'm supposed to be doing this, by myself. So I will be staying in the wagon until we awwive. I'll alight upon awwival and we shall then pwoceed on foot. Now get a move on you lazy wascals!"

Charmles got back into the wagon and they headed off. "It'll only be for a short while. But we're happy to be in your service Prince Charmles." Jessica said trying to make friendly conversation. From their story they learnt she was from a wealthy family. So knew how to address royalty.

"Hmph don't disappoint me! Remember your duty is to protect me!" He said seemingly unable to even be pleasant with those beneath him or considered to be.

"Just leave the actual fighting to us." Jessica said with a sly smile knowing exactly how to word everything she was saying. "After all it wouldn't do for you to be hurt."

"Do not mock me!" Charmles said insulted. "I am Pewfectly capable in engaging in combat my deaw."

"I doubt that somehow," Kiro growled in his thoughts. It was one thing to engage. It was another to actually fight.

Amei: Amei is a very excitable girl who dragged me to meet her friends. But she's kind of cute….she must never know…..anyway she's a blooming mage already having all the second level spells and several status inflicting ones. Unlike Donald, Amei launches magic bullets from her staff to damage foes from what I've seen they don't run out when her mana depletes but they are bit weaker when that happens.

Zidane: Zidane is a boy with a Monkey tail. Adventurous and friendly he, kind of reminds me of dad but seems to have a little bit of a pervy streak. Specializing in attacking rather magic he wields two long daggers that can be made into a pole arm. Final Fantasy IX 2001

Nanaki: A Lion or Wolf like beast and the oldest of the trio I encountered most likely. He seems to have a Red Mage style of fighting. While that style is notorious for being a jack of all trades master of none he utilizes it well. He's also incredibly cool looking especially with the flame on his tail. Final Fantasy VII 1997

Amei: A Girl traveling with Zidane and Nanaki. Who basically kidnapped me! She seems very bubbly and knows a lot about magic. It'd be nice to have someone to talk with about magic. Still I wonder what those three are doing out here. She is also kind of cute.

Ehro: A Young Soldier from the Kingdom of Trodain. He is currently traveling his world in search of the Dhoulmagus. To force him to lift the curse off his Kingdom and those afflicted by it. As well as avenge the lives stolen by the wicked jester. Ehro is incredibly skilled in swords and spears for some strange reason he wasn't affected by the strange curse. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2004

Yangus: A Stocky ex-con. Extremely grateful to Ehro for saving his life he accompanies him on his journey to stop Dhoulmagus. Despite his shady past and gruff exterior he seems very genuine. Makes me wonder what he'll do when all this is over. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2004

Jessica: A Young Woman from the famous family Alexandria. And Descended from a legendary hero, like Amei she is incredibly skilled in magic. She left home with a sad goodbye to pursue Dhoulmagus. She is feisty and will not take a hit lying down. That being said good low key insult against Charmless Jess. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2004

Angelo: A Templar from a church back in the Continent that Ehro and co. came from. From what I've heard Angelo is a bit of a black sheep there. But he had also lost his family to a terrible plague when he was young. Having lived at Abbot Francisco's Abbey he may have seen him as a father figure and has not only joined on his own will but has been tasked by his superior to avenge the abbot. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2008

King Trode: The King of Trodain, he seems like a good king, but he was cursed by the evil Dhoulmagus and hates his troll like form. He drives the carriage that Ehro's group travels with. He's determined to protect Medea from her fiancé finding out about her cursed state. While patient he's a bit snippy managing to slip in a Charmless when talking to him. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2004

Princess Medea: The Princess of Trodain and fiancé to Prince Charmless, Brrr….she has been cursed as a horse and thus can't even communicate with the rest of the group….which is horrible to me. She seems to be keeping strong however so that's good. Her Horse form is really beautiful. No doubt Ehro and her father take good care of her in this state; strange though I saw their images in a platform in the station of awakening, why? Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2004

King Clavius: The King of Argonia, who made an agreement with King Trode to have, their children be, united in marriage. I'm not sure why. It's a custom of this world, while I don't like it. I do have to respect it. He looks a bit like his son. But seems like an infinitely better person then Charmless. He's agreed to give Ehro and Co. the magic mirror an heirloom of his family's in exchange for helping the pig with the initiation. Heaven help us all… Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 2004

Prince Charmless (Charmles): The Devil or more of this world; took Corrum's personality made it, twenty percent more entitled; gave it three strong shots of obnoxious. Shaped it into a pig, specifically aimed it for an environment, where it would grow into the worst possible state. Took that horror and unleashed upon this world specifically to watch it squirm! I don't know why because everyone in this world aside from Dhoulmagus from what I can tell seem, really nice at the very least this world is a MUCH nicer place than Civiti Obrorato which is basically the Corrum fan-club and that super nice shop keeper lives in Argonia!
