Laurel pulled up to the church, beautifully dressed but nervous, why was she letting this happen. Letting the love of her life marry another. Getting out of the car she pulled out Oliver's letter.

She read the letter over, probably for the thousandths time. He had professed his love to her in those paragraphs. He had held on to her picture for 5 years. That picture had guided him home.

She never should have driven him away after Tommy's death. She was a fool. Then even more foolishly she declared her love for Oliver in that hospital bed. And he had returned the feeling. Then she left Starling City for two years. She traveled around the country eventually ending up in Gotham. Where she established herself as a hero in her own right.

Neither she nor Ollie had spoken of that night in the hospital. Even when they saw each other during the Dominator invasion. Her phone went off breaking her from her thoughts.

It was from Barbara. Barbara or Oracle had become a close friend and confidant during her time in Gotham. She had shared everything with Barbara; her feelings and her regrets she was now sending her words of encouragement.

"Fight for him"

The text read.

Laurel took a deep breath. Knowing what she had to do. She couldn't let Oliver marry Felicity. It would be the biggest mistake of his life. If she let Oliver marry someone he didn't love with all his heart, it would be on her. It was her choice to push him away, leading him to Felicity's arms.

She entered the church, hands sweaty taking a seat towards the back. Seeing Oliver at the altar, how handsome he looked dressed in his tux. Yet he looked nervous and unsure of himself. Their eyes locked for a brief second and a smile spread across his face.

He took a step forward almost like you wanted to greet her only to be pulled back by Thea grabbing his arm. Even from her distance, Laurel could tell Thea was scolding him. Then the music started.

Felicity began her walk down the aisle. She looked more beautiful than Laurel had ever seen her. She could see the look on Oliver's face, and he seemed conflicted. As soon as Felicity had made her way up the aisle, the officiant cleared his throat and started.

"Dearly, beloved and honored guests, we are gathered together here to join Oliver Jonas Queen and Felicity Megan Smoak in the union of marriage. This contract is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. The bride and groom have each prepared vows that they will read now."

Laurel breathed in slowly. Tempering herself not wanting to release her Canary Cry has she objected. Given her emotional state, it was certainly a possibility.

Then the officiant spoke to the word she was waiting for.

"Speak now or forever hold your peace."

"I object!" Laurel yelled out.

Everyone in the church turned to stare at her. Oliver looked at her with something akin to relief in his eyes. He took a step forward only to be blocked by Felicity's arm. Felicity motioned to John who nodded to security that accompanied the mayor everywhere.

Oliver, realizing what was happening, ordered them to stand down. "Hi, Ollie," Laurel said in almost a whisper. She was now standing at the bottom of the altar. Looking up at the man she loved.

"You can't marry her," Laurel implored Oliver.

Felicity seeing red. Now placed her whole body between Laurel and Oliver. "This is our wedding day," Felicity hissed at Laurel. "We're about to exchange our vows. What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Turning to John "Will you please remove her" Oliver glared at John. To Felicity's dismay, John remained still.

Laurel spoke. "Ollie, you're the love of my life and I know in my heart that I'm the love of yours." She pauses, closing her eyes. "I'm sorry I ran away, after everything …"

Her words are interrupted by two security personnel. Grabbing her arms and started pulling her down the aisle. Laurel dug in her heels. Her body tensed she could easily drop both of them with little effort.

"Don't touch her," he growled.

The guard stopped looking to Felicity for directions. The woman nodded. The guards again attempted to remove her.

Then Oliver stepped forward. "John, will you please have these two removed" John hesitated for a moment. "John," Oliver said again glaring at his bodyguard.

John gave a hand signal ordering the two security men removed. Neither man protested. This left Laurel standing alone with Felicity still acting as a barrier between them.

"Ollie, I loved you for half my life. I'm sorry after Dad ..." she paused, biting her lip thinking of her father's death. The heart attack she blamed herself for.

"I was a fool for leaving you. After the words we exchanged in the hospital, please forgive me. I love you Oliver Jonas Queen" The words echoed through the church.

All looked to Oliver waiting. "Always and Forever" he finally spoke. Laurel smiled broadly, and her smile dazzled, with childlike happiness. A moment later they were in each other's arms. Passionately kissing.

Neither noticed the blonde running out of the church crying.
