"Shit!" Diggle cursed. He was the first one to enter the arrow cave the next day and he was not prepared for what he saw. "Didn't anyone check him before leaving him alone?" He shouted out to the empty room. He picked up the phone laying on the table and frowned. "What the hell."
He opened the cage, and shook his head at the dead body. He began the process of removing the body and cleaning out the odor from the room. The last thing he wanted was the work space to feel like disgusting slime. He inwardly sighed, what could have been so important that the phone cleared completely. Hopefully he would be able to figure out how to retrieve the data. He knew a few technical savvy people. A sobering thought, one of those people were missing. He closed his eyes, now was not the time.
"Cisco speaking," he had decided to call the only other smart person he could think of in such a short amount of time. Deep down John knew it was urgent to get the information as soon as possible rather than later. He's not sure how much he actually told the scientist on the other end of the line or when he started crying. "John, I'll be right there. I'll have Barry take me."
Diggle knew how fast the flash could travel and that still didn't prepare him for the people behind the club. He had stepped out there to meet them. He shook his head and turned to focus on business; finding Felicity Smoak. "So you think you can uncover what dead men don't want us to know?"
Cisco glanced at the back on the phone, popping it open to remove the SIM card. "Get me to a computer and I just might be able to."
"Cisco," Barry said, "if you're good here, I need to get back to Central City. Call when you're ready." Diggle coughed when Barry zoomed away.
"You can use the computers in the arrow cave. But be careful if anything happens to them, Smoak won't be too happy," he held the door open, leading Cisco. Once inside, Cisco quickly turned on the monitors and sat down in front of them.
He cracked his knuckles, "Alright time to crack this baby open." He placed the sim into the analyzer slot of the computer. Several moments of quiet later Cisco looked up. "So it looks like it was a basic clean up job but like with any basic clean job, they only got the surface."
"What does that mean in normal speech?"
Cisco shook his head with a chuckle. "There's a gold mine under the bleach."
"You mean you can tell us what he deleted?" He let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding all this time.
"Digs. I can do more than that. I can track where the last text came from," he was clicking some buttons.
"So do that!" There was a ding from the elevator.
"Trust me. On it." He clicked a few more on the keyboard. "Bingo. Got a match."
The elevator opened and Oliver exited. He glanced between both men. "What's going on here?" When both men just stared at each other, he cleared his throat. "Any day now."
"We have a location on a possible place Smoak is. She's here in the Glades. She's been under our noses the whole time. Some abandoned medical facility. This whole time." He looked over to Oliver who was already gearing up. "Wait, man, we can't just go in guns blazing."
"It's felicity."
"I know, man. I want her back just as much as you. But we need a plan. Whoever took her knew how to get away with it for so long and clearly has the means. Going in blind is suicide." He placed a hand on Oliver's shoulder.
The man shook off the hand. "She's been alone for so long already. I'm not waiting any longer. You can stay if you want." Without another word, he ran out.
Tears were sliding down the blonde's cheeks. She was wearing a red slender gown and her hair was twisted in a braid. Her marks were covered in concealer. She rubbed at her cheeks.
"Oh, baby, don't cry. You're about to make me very rich. The hood's trophy girlfriend strikes a large sum on the black market." He roughly caressed her cheek. "We should go before we have any unannounced guests."
Felicity nodded, sucking in a breath. "Can I have some paper?"
He narrowed his eyes. "You better not be planning anything. I still have no galls over putting a bullet in your head."
"No—nothing bad. I promise. I just want to write a note saying goodbye." She closed her eyes for a moment. "You can read it after."
He growled softly, "if you try anything," he handed her the paper and pen. He snatched it from her, the moment she replaced the pen cap. He rolled his eyes, letting the note fall. "Okay, time to go." He shoved her into the back seat of a black sedan. They were miles away when a green leathered clad vigilante arrived.
"Felicity!" He jumped off his motorcycle, running into the building, an arrow raised. He cleared every room. There was no Felicity. No one was here anymore. He wanted to scream. He was so close. He had her and she fell through his fingers. He kicked at the wall when he noticed a paper with lipstick marking on it. He picked it up.
It was clearly her writing. His finger ran across the words, taking it in. To the blind eye, it was simply a letter to say goodbye but he knew Felicity better than that. There was a code hidden in this message. He quickly shoved the note into his pocket. He had to get this letter back and have the team figure out where Felicity might be. She was close and he couldn't let her get farther.
