POV - Lizzie

It was after four o'clock in the morning and so far Josie hadn't come home. I wanted to be angry, but the truth is, I was worried about that idiot. It was the first time she had gone to a party without me and as she and I had been fighting, I'm afraid she might have taken her frustration out on the drink. That's what she normally does. The worst thing is that the boys don't even know she has a drinking problem, after all whenever she started to get drunk, I took her to our dorm. They never got to see her in the state I saw her. Crap. I'm really worried. I sighed, rolling my eyes and decided to text her. I hope she answers. I lay on my bed, staring at my cell phone screen, when I saw I was getting a call from Josie. Obviously, I immediately picked up.

''Shit, Josette.'' - I complained when I put my cell phone to my ear - ''Can you tell me why the hell you haven't come home yet?'' - I questioned her, annoyed.

''Hey Lizzie, it's not Josie.'' - Am I going crazy or did I just hear Hope Mikaelson's voice on the other end of the line?

''Don't tell me who I'm thinking.'' - I snorted, looking at the ceiling of my room, still lying on my bed.

''I don't know who you are thinking, but who is talking here is Hope.'' - The other voice answered on the other side and I took a deep breath, before bursting.

''WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY SISTER'S PHONE, MIKAELSON?'' - I screamed, unable to contain myself.

''If you scream like that again, I'll be deaf.'' - Hope complained and I clenched my fist.

Who does this girl think she is? She has my sister's cell phone in the middle of the night and still thinks she has the right to complain. This is good.

''I don't wanna talk to you.'' - I said, snorting - ''Just pass it to Josie.'' - I asked, closing my eyes with the intention of calming me down.

''Impossible.'' - She replied and I opened my eyes, irritating me again.

''WHY?'' - I screamed again.

''Because Josie is sleeping.'' - Hope counted and I raised my eyebrows. What do you mean Josette was sleeping? And near Hope? What?

''What did you do to my sister, Mikaelson?'' - This time I didn't scream, but I spoke each word in a menacing tone.

''I did nothing.'' - She quickly defended herself - ''It's just that Josie drank too much and now I don't know what to do.'' - Hope continued and I sighed.

Shit. This was exactly what I feared.

''Where are you?'' - I asked to see if I could help.

Like I said: As much as I was pissed and mad at Josie for being with Hope, she was still my twin sister and I really care about her.

''At the oldmill.'' - Okay, less bad. They were still at the oldmill, which was good, after all the mill and school weren't that far from home. - ''Can you...'' - Hope continued, but stopped short of finishing her sentence.

''Speak at once, Mikaelson.'' - I sent it impatiently.

''Can you help me with Josie?'' - She asked, looking like she was going to choke.

In any other situation, I'm sure Hope Mikaelson would never ask for my help, but today was different and I recognize how hard it must be for her to be asking this of me.

''I didn't hear you right.'' - Exactly. As much as I recognized Hope's noble attitude of asking me for help, I was never going to miss the opportunity to make fun of her for it.

''Can you help me with Josie?'' - Hope repeated, letting out a frustrated sigh.

''Seriously, I really think I'm not listening right.'' - I continued the teasing with an ironic smile on my face.

''Shit, Lizzie.'' - Hope complained on the other end of the line.

''Looks like someone doesn't want my help...'' - I let out a dramatic sigh, trying to control my laughter.

''Will be screwed.'' - Hope cursed me and I was ready to argue with her when she said something I literally didn't expect: - ''I'm begging you Lizzie, please help me with Josie.'' - Is that what I heard? Hope Mikaelson just begged for my help?

I was going to help my twin sister from the beginning, of course. I just didn't want to miss the opportunity to have some fun at Hope's expense before then. But I confess I was completely taken aback by Hope begging for my help because of Josie. I thought she was just going to hang up on me and that was it. But she surprised me. Positively, I must admit. Point to Mikaelson.

''Okay, I'm just kidding.'' - I admitted, stopping teasing her - ''I'll be there in a few minutes.'' - I warned, getting up from the bed and putting my cell phone on speaker, before throwing it on the bed.

''Lizzie?'' - I heard Hope's voice, as I went to my closet to get a sweatshirt - ''How are you going to come get us?'' - She asked and I rolled my eyes.

''I'm taking my dad's car.'' - I answered as if it were obvious.

''But you're 14 years old, as far as I know you can't drive.'' - Hope argued and I snorted.

''Do you want my help or not?'' - I asked without patience and put a sweatshirt on the body.

''I do, but...'' - Hope was going to say something, but I cut her off.

''Then shut up.'' - I said, taking my cell phone and disabling it from speakerphone, leaving my room through the door, then.

I thought Hope was going to argue after I told her to shut up, but to my surprise, she said nothing.

''Lizzie?'' - Yeah, it was too good to be true. Of course she was going to argue.

''What?'' - I asked, going to my father's bedroom door and opening it to check if he was still sleeping.

Clearly he was. Like a stone, as always.

''Can you bring Josie a sweatshirt?'' - Hope asked on the other end of the line - ''She's still sleeping, but I think she's cold.'' - She explained and I grimaced in confusion.

Is it just me or does Hope really seem worried about my sister? Penelope was definitely never going to worry about such a small detail, especially in the middle of a party. Yeah, looks like for the second time tonight Hope Mikaelson is surprising me. Again positively.

''Of course.'' - I replied, still a little disconcerted - ''I'm leaving here, we'll talk soon.'' - That said, I ended the call and put my cell phone in my pants pocket.

Then I went back to my room and grabbed a sweatshirt for Josie like Hope asked. So I went downstairs and grabbed my dad's car keys from the bench in the living room. He wasn't going to wake up. Josie and I have escaped several times and Dad has never caught us. So it wasn't going to be today that he was going to get us. I smirked at the thought and left the house. Dad's car was parked out front. With that, I opened the car and started it, leaving to rescue my twin sister.

I know by law I still couldn't drive, but who cares? Uncle Damon has been giving me driving lessons since I was 13. It's obvious that neither Dad nor Mom knew this. They were definitely going to freak out.

So I continued to accelerate and in less than five minutes I was at Salvatore School. When I got there, I parked near the oldmill and got out of the car to look for Hope and Josie. Soon, I spotted the two outside the mill and went towards them. Josie was still sleeping. But I was going to wake her up and it was now.

''It's time to get up, sleepyhead.'' - I looked at a sleeping Josie, shaking her shoulders.

''What are you doing?'' - Hope asked, raising her eyebrows at me.

''Waking her up.'' - I answered as if it were obvious.

''Isn't it better to let her...'' - Hope was probably going to tell me to let my sister sleep, but before I could answer her, we were interrupted by Josie's voice.

''Am I dreaming or is Lizzie here?'' - Josie asked in a sleepy, half-drunk voice.

''Of course I'm here, idiot.'' - I snorted, looking at her - ''To save your ass by the way.'' - I added, annoyed.

''Don't talk to her like that.'' - As usual, Hope was defending Josie.

''I talk to my sister any way I want, Mikaelson.'' - I snapped, emphasizing 'my' and 'I'.

''In front of me you will treat her decently.'' - Hope looked at me and I smiled wryly.

''LOOK HERE, MIKAELSON...'' - I yelled, ready to argue with Hope, but stopped as soon as I heard Josie's loud laugh. - ''What are you laughing about?'' - I turned to look at my sister.

''It's just that you're really here, you're even arguing with Hope.'' - Josie replied in her drunken way, which made Hope and I look at each other, before we burst out laughing too.

''Okay, I think now it's time for us to go.'' - Hope said, as soon as we had stopped laughing - ''Come on, Josie.'' - She went to my sister and made her support her arm around her neck.

Trouble was, Hope is so short she could barely hold Josie straight. To make matters worse, my twin was barely standing up. It was obvious they needed my help. So I walked over to them and had Josie drape her arm around my neck too. With that, the three of us walked to where I had parked the car with Josie in our midst, being practically dragged by us. When we got to the car, we put Josie in the backseat and had her put on the sweatshirt I'd taken. Hope started to sit beside her, but I stopped her:

''I'm not going to be your damn chauffeur, Mikaelson.'' - I said and Hope rolled her eyes - ''She'll survive in the backseat without you, believe me.'' - I ironized and she gave a mocking smile.

''I just don't know if we'll survive with you in the direction.'' - Hope teased and I involuntarily punched her in the arm.

To my surprise, Hope chuckled and opened the car door, sitting in the front seat as I had spoken. I raised my eyebrows in confusion, but she just shrugged. So, I decided to let it go and went around, getting in the car and starting for my house. We barely left school and I've already heard Josie's voice pissing me off:

''Go slower, Lizzie.'' - She requested in her drunk way and I snorted.

''Slower than that is impossible.'' - I snapped, irritated. I was at 40km/h, precisely because of her. Now, slower than that, I couldn't go.

''We're on our way Josie, just try to rest.'' - Hope turned to look at her, trying to reassure her. My sister was so drunk that she didn't even answer her. In fact, all she did was yawn and close her eyes. - ''Since when do you know how to drive, Saltzman?'' - She questioned, looking at me.

''You know we don't need to talk, right?'' - I cut her off, keeping my eyes on the direction.

I know I didn't need to be like this, but what can I say? Being a bitch was in my essence.

''Whoever spoke is no longer here.'' - Hope raised her hands high in surrender and I could bet she had a mocking smile on her face.

But now I don't even have to worry about that. It was dawn and I needed to get home soon, after all I still had a drunk sister to take care of. So we were silent for the next few minutes and soon I arrived to park my dad's car in front of my house, right where he had left it. That done, Hope and I got out of the car, ready to help Josie again, but this time she decided on her own that she could manage on her own.

''Josie, are you sure you don't need help?'' - Hope asked and my sister ignored her - ''Josie?'' - She insisted and Jo turned half staggering to look at her.

''What the fuck, Hope, I already told you that I'm not drunk!'' -Obviously the tone of her voice and her braiding legs said quite the opposite.

''That's what I have to deal with.'' - I snorted, looking at Josie and Hope laughed, but she went to my sister anyway.

And as I opened the front door, Hope tried to help Josie stay upright. Then, as we entered the house, Josie let go of Hope and went to sit on the sofa in the living room.

''I think I'm feeling sick.'' - Josie spoke and Hope still standing looked at her.

''Don't worry, Mikaelson.'' - I looked at her sideways, letting out a sigh - ''From here on, you can let me...'' - I was going to say that I would take over from now on, but before I could finish the sentence, I saw Josie vomiting on the floor of our living room . - ''Shit, Josette.'' - I swore, covering my face.

''I think I can try to do a spell to fix this.'' - Hope manifested with a grimace - ''Just take her to the bathroom.'' - She continued and I turned around, trying not to look where Josie vomited.

''Remind me to punch you for it tomorrow.'' - I joked, pulling Josie by the arm so she could get up from the couch.

''You were wrong, Lizzie.'' - Josie pulled her arm back to continue on the couch and let out a drunken laugh, which made me raise my eyebrows at her.

''What are you talking about, you crazy drunk?'' - I questioned her, not understanding.

''You said Hope would play with my feelings…'' - Josie began, still laughing. - ''But she doesn't seem like the kind of person who would do that.'' - She concluded, looking at Hope and letting out another laugh.

''You said this?'' - Hope crossed her arms over her chest and raised her eyebrows at me.

''We'll talk about it later.'' - I decided, completely ignoring Hope - ''Come on, Josette.'' - I said, pulling Josie by the arm, but again she let go.

''TELL HER, HOPE!'' - Josie yelled in her drunk voice - ''Tell her you won't hurt me.'' - She added, pouting and playing with her index finger.

''Shit, Josie, don't yell.'' - I scolded, looking at her. As much as daddy was a heavy sleeper, the chances of him waking up to my sister screaming like that were great.

''I SCREAM WHEN I WANT!'' - Josie yelled, getting up from the couch - ''You don't boss me around, Lizzie.'' - She traced her legs, facing me - ''I'm a free woman and I do what I want.'' - Josie concluded in her drunk voice, pointing her finger in my direction.

''You're right, Jo, I'm sorry.'' - I decided to agree with an ironic smile on my face. There was no point in arguing with Josie now. She was drunk and didn't know what she was doing.

''If I knew she would be like this, I wouldn't have let her drink so much.'' - Hope commented and Josie turned to look at her.

''I DON'T BELIEVE YOU'RE AGAINST ME, HOPE!'' - Josie accused her dramatically and I snorted.

''I ALREADY TOLD YOU NOT TO SCREAM, JOSETTE!'' - Okay, this time I screamed.

''If you keep screaming like that, Dr. Saltzman will wake up.'' - Hope warned and I rolled my eyes. Of course I knew that.

''I already know that.'' - I contested, making a face at her - ''Come with me, Josette.'' - I turned to my twin, putting a hand on her shoulder.

''I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITH YOU!'' - Josie screamed for the fourth time, sounding literally like a 5-year-old having a tantrum. She was drunk was a pain in the ass.

''I'm losing patience with you, Josie.'' - I said, irritating myself.

''Calm down, Lizzie, she doesn't know what she's doing.'' - Look what a surprise. Hope is defending Josie again.

''YOU DON'T NEED TO DEFEND ME, HOPE!'' - Josie yelled in her drunk voice and I laughed.

''Well done.'' - I showed Hope my tongue and she rolled her eyes, but then she grimaced and slapped her forehead. - ''What's it?'' - I raised my eyebrows at her in confusion and Hope looked at the top of the stairs.

''Screwed.'' - Was all Hope replied, before I looked where she was looking and saw the image of my dad coming down the stairs.

''Shit.'' - I whispered to myself when I saw that where Josie had thrown up, it was still dirty. With the show she had given, Hope probably forgot to do magic to fix it. And that's not counting that Josie was still drunk. Seriously, I don't know which one of us is more screwed up.

''Josie? Lizzie? Hope?'' - Dad looked at us with a confused expression and held his nose as he noticed where Josie had thrown up.

''Hi daddy.'' - I looked at him with my best smile to try to win his sympathy.

''What happened here?'' - He asked, hardening him gaze.

So it is. I have no idea how I'm going to start explaining this.

POV - Hayley

I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to run a bit in my wolf form. I was missing doing this, after all I hadn't run since we got to Mystic Falls. Normally, I always did this to Hope, but since she was grounded, I would have to do it alone today. With that, I just warned Klaus and left. It was half past two in the morning. The children were still sleeping. So, I left my clothes at the entrance to our mansion and changed into my wolf form. That done, I ran for approximately two hours, until I was back home. When I got there, I changed back and put on my clothes. It was now almost four-thirty in the morning. I think I could still sleep a little longer.

So, I went upstairs ready to go back to my room, when I heard a cell phone ringing. The sound was coming from Hope's room. Who was calling my daughter at half past four in the morning? Well, it doesn't matter. I better get out there and hang up before the ringing wakes up her. I sighed, accelerating at vampire speed to her room and declined the call, hanging up her cell later. Since I was there, I decided to take a look at Hope sleeping as well. As rebellious as she is, my girl was the cutest thing sleeping. I smiled, pulling the comforter to look at her, but the instant I did that I was in for a surprise. Hope wasn't there. Where has this girl gone?

''KLAUS!'' - I screamed, desperate - ''KLAUS!'' - I called him a second time and my husband showed up in Hope's room the same minute.

''What happened?'' - Klaus asked, but when he saw Hope's bed empty, he understood. - ''I'll call Freya.'' - He decided, accelerating at vampire speed to our room and grabbing your cell phone.

Maybe we shouldn't be calling Freya at four-thirty in the morning, but I know she knows that if we're calling at this time it's definitely something important. And I was right. Despite the time, Freya answered on the second ring. So Klaus put the call on speakerphone and we tell her Hope is missing. She immediately set out to do a locator spell to find her. We waited a few minutes, and then Freya came back with an answer:

''Looks like a witch cast a spell to block Hope's location.'' - Freya told, letting out a sigh.

''What? Like this?'' - I asked, a little confused.

For someone to do that, that person would have to be with Hope and to be with Hope that person would have to come into the house without us noticing, which was practically impossible. I know my daughter, if someone tried to break into our house, she would fight and of course we would end up listening.

''Unless...'' - Klaus turned to look at me, having the same reasoning as me.

''It was Hope who did a spell to hide her own location.'' - Finished, running my hands through my hair. That's why she'd also left her cell phone here, so she couldn't be located either by magic or via the cell's GPS.

''Why would Hope do that?'' - Freya questioned and I snorted.

''Because she fought at school and we grounded her.'' - Klaus answered for me - ''And obviously, she wouldn't want me and Hayley to go get her, considering she escaped punishment.'' - He added and I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm.

''By the way my sweetie niece just got into a big problem.'' - Freya commented and Klaus sighed.

''Oh, you bet it is.'' - I nodded, irritated - ''Anyway, thanks for the help, Freya.'' - I thanked you, sincerely.

''Whenever you need to, Hayley.'' - Freya spoke, gently.

- ''Send your regards to our family members for me, sister.'' - Klaus asked and I smirked.

''I'll do it, Niklaus.'' - That said, Freya ended the call.

She probably wanted to go back to sleep. Now that she and Keelin had a two-year-old son, bedtime was no doubt scarce. Babies are work, but I confess I miss when Hope was just a baby. Also because my baby teenager of 15-year-old has been making my hair stand on end.

''So...'' - Klaus started, turning to look at me - ''What are we going to do now?'' - He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

''Let's look for her.'' - I decided and Klaus raised his eyebrows at me.

''It's almost five in the morning, Hayley.'' - He pointed out the obvious and I rolled my eyes.

''What do you suggest then?'' - I snorted, looking at him.

''Let's wait for her here.'' - Klaus said, simply - ''One hour she'll have to come back.'' - He continued, shrugging.

''And let's let our 15-year-old daughter walk around at dawn?'' - I contested, looking at him.

''If you haven't noticed, it's almost dawn, love.'' - Klaus sneered and I looked out the window. It was true. It was almost morning. - ''Besides, Hope is smart.'' - He completed it and I got angry.

''Smart? Is that what you call the fact that she disrespected the punishment we gave and still run away in the middle of the night?'' - I said ironically and Klaus smiled.

''I'm not in any way supporting what Hope did.'' - Klaus defended himself and I looked at him - ''But I have to admit that our daughter has a brilliant mind.'' - He laughed, shaking his head.

''I guarantee you that this brilliant mind of hers won't do any good when I get my hands on her.'' - I said, looking at him.

''You're angry.'' - Klaus pointed and I snorted.

''Of course I am.'' - I nodded and he looked at me - ''Unlike you, I don't think it's fun for our teenage daughter to deliberately disobey us.'' - I continued and Klaus blew out a breath.

''I don't think it's fun.'' - Klaus got serious and put his hand on my shoulder - ''Even I think I should deal with it.'' - He spoke and I thought about it for a moment.

There were rare occasions when Klaus had to punish Hope. Usually I was the one who took on that role. The few times he has had to do this is because Hope has risked her safety or disregarded any order or punishment. Klaus wasn't that tough, but since he always spoiled her, I knew Hope found it much harder to be punished by him than by me. Like it or not, I was the one who always reprimanded her when she did something wrong. Klaus, on the other hand, barely raised his voice to her, much less scolded her. That's why it was so bad for her when that moment came. Hope knew she had crossed a line.

''Maybe it's a good idea.'' - I considered, looking at him.

''I promise I'll give her a great lecture.'' - He joked and I rolled my eyes.

''I'm sure it will.'' - I nodded, laughing - ''You're good at it.'' - I praised him and Klaus smiled.

''I know.'' - He bragged and I snorted - ''How about we wait for the little transgressor in the room?'' - Klaus suggested with an ironic smile on his lips.

''Little transgressor?'' - I laughed, looking at him - ''Only you to make me laugh about this situation.'' - I shook my head, leaving Hope's room and being followed by my husband.

With that, we went down to the living room and waited for Hope to come back. It was 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and then 1 hour, and no Hope came. Honestly, I was getting worried already.

''Klaus, she should have come home by now.'' - I said, walking from one side of the room to the other.

''Don't worry, love, I'm sure Hope will get here soon.'' - Klaus tried to reassure me and I snorted.

''It's almost six in the morning, Klaus.'' - I snapped nervously - ''What if...'' - I thought the worst and Klaus immediately pulled me into a hug.

''Hope is fine.'' - He assured, looking at me.

I know I was probably freaking out for no reason, but I just couldn't help it. The first time Hope escaped, she was 7 years old and practically crossed the country to see Klaus. I had never been so desperate in my life. Then at age 8, she again escaped and was kidnapped by a vampire. Already at age 14, she escaped with Roman Sienna and almost had her wolf side trapped forever. In short: I had reasons to be so desperate.

''Sorry, I just...'' - I looked at him and he put his hand on the back of my neck.

''I know, I understand.'' - Klaus leaned his forehead against mine and I nodded.

Before I pulled away, my husband kissed my forehead and I took a deep breath before going to sit on the couch. Klaus was right. I needed to calm down. I just hope my girl is really okay.

POV - Hope

There wasn't even time for Lizzie to explain to Dr. Saltzman what had happened, because he immediately noticed what state Josie was in. I thought he was going to go crazy, but surprisingly he was calm. And with all the calm in the world, he managed to guide Josie into the bathroom. With all of that, Lizzie and I were still silent, kind of not knowing what to do. Soon Dr. Saltzman came back to the room and spoke to us:

''Please, Hope, wait for me here.'' - He requested, looking at me - ''You and Lizzie still need to explain to me what happened.'' - Dr. Salztman continued and I nodded - ''And Lizzie, come help me with your sister.'' - He ordered and Lizzie immediately followed him out of the living room.

As soon as I was alone, I finally tried to do some magic to clean up where Josie had thrown up. At least Saltzman's living room was now clean. I sighed, sitting down on the couch and running my hands over my face. The truth is, I was worried about Josie. Tomorrow when she wakes up, she's going to feel terrible. I was still thinking about it when I was interrupted from my thoughts by Lizzie's voice:

''My dad just went to put Josie to sleep and he's coming.'' - She warned and I shrugged.

Another ten minutes of silence and finally Dr. Saltzman appeared.

''Thanks for taking care of the mess Josie made, Hope. ''- He thanked with a grimace when he noticed that his living room was clean.

''It's the least I could do, Dr. Saltzman.'' - I spoke sincerely.

''Why? Did you get her drunk?'' - He questioned and I shook my head immediately.

''Of course not, Dr. Saltzman, I swear!'' - I said and he looked at me for a moment before letting out a laugh.

''I know, Hope, I'm just kidding.'' - He laughed and I sighed with relief - ''But then...'' - Dr. Saltzman cleared his throat, looking at me and Lizzie - ''Can you now explain to me what happened?'' - He asked, getting serious.

''Josie and I were at a party...'' - I started to explain, looking at him - ''Then Josie ended up drinking too much and I didn't know what to do.'' - I continued and Dr. Saltzman put his hand on his chin - ''That's when I asked Lizzie's help.'' - Okay, that wasn't exactly the whole story, but who cares? I think I have summarized the essentials.

''That I understood, what I wanted to know is how Lizzie helped you if she was forbidden to leave the house?'' - Dr. Saltzman questioned and I saw Lizzie swallowing hard.

''Dad, I just wanted to help Josie.'' - Lizzie tried to explain and he looked at her.

''That's not what I asked, Elizabeth.'' - Oh, he called her by her full name. When my mom does that, I know I'm screwed.

''Okay, I...'' - Lizzie was going to say something, but I interrupted her.

''Dr. Saltzmam, it's all my fault.'' - Wait. What am I doing? Am I really going to defend Lizzie?

''What?'' - He turned to look at me, raising his eyebrows at me.

''I told Lizzie that if she didn't help me with Josie it would just prove she's a bad sister.'' - I lied, looking at him - ''There was no one to help me and I wouldn't be able to deal with Josie alone.'' - I apologized and he got serious - ''I'm sorry about that, Dr. Saltzman.'' - He studied me for a moment and I saw Lizzie making a confused face.

She shouldn't be understanding why I was defending her. In fact, I wasn't even understanding myself.

''I don't even know what to say.'' - Dr. Saltzman finally spoke, letting out a sigh.

''If the sir wants to put me in detention for the next few weeks, I know I deserve it.'' - I played the victim to try to win his sympathy.

I know Dr. Saltzman liked me. He even seemed to like it when he found out Josie and I had kissed, so I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to use that to my advantage, right?

''I'm not putting you in detention, Hope.'' - He raised his eyebrows as he looked at me and smiled - ''I'm just surprised.'' - Dr. Saltzman added and I frowned - ''I mean...'' - He paused and looked at me and Lizzie - ''I had to suspend you two for fighting at school and now you just worked together to help Josie.'' - Dr. Saltzman concluded and I shook my head at the thought. It was true.

''Wait...'' - Lizzie looked at him, looking incredulous. - ''Does that mean you're not mad?'' - She asked, biting her lip.

''Not with you and Hope, sweetie.'' - Dr. Saltzman assured, looking at her - ''In fact, I'm proud that you have overcome your differences to help your sister.'' - He continued, smiling at both of us.

''Oh, thank God.'' - Lizzie said, breathing a sigh of relief - ''So I don't even need to mention that I borrowed your car.'' - She probably wanted to add it mentally, but every word ended up coming out aloud.

''You what?'' - Dr. Saltzman turned to look at her, turning red instantly.

''She's just kidding, Dr. Saltzman.'' - I got in before this got bad. - ''It's obvious that Lizzie didn't take your car.'' - I scoffed, giving a fake laugh - ''She is 14 years old, she doesn't even know how to drive.'' - I ended the lie, trying to save Lizzie's ass for the second time that night.

''It's true, daddy, I was just kidding.'' - It's a good thing that this sluggish blonde was smart enough to keep up the lie.

''All right, let's just let it go.'' - Dr. Saltzman sighed, looking tired - ''Now...'' - He paused, looking at his wristwatch - ''It's six o'clock in the morning, Hope, I better take you home.'' - What? Is it already six o'clock in the morning? Like this?

''Holy shit, I'm really screwed.'' - I let go, not holding back.

''Language, Mikaelson.'' - Dr. Saltzman immediately scolded me.

''Sorry, Dr. Saltzman.'' - I looked at him with a frown - ''It's just that my parents grounded me for the fight and I kind of escaped to go to the party with Josie.'' - I explained, playing with my fingers.

I better be honest about it, after all I just cursed in front of my school principal and worse: He was also Josie's father.

''Did you escape punishment just to go to the party with Josie?'' - Lizzie said, raising her eyebrows at me - ''Respect.'' - She surprisingly complimented me, if that was a compliment.

''Lizzie.'' - Dr. Saltzman spoke her name, scolding her with his eyes.

''What did I do?'' - Lizzie made an innocent face and he shrugged, turning to look at me.

''Hope...'' - Dr. Saltzman began, heaving a sigh. - ''I really don't mind you and Josie hanging out together.'' - He looked at me and an inevitable smile appeared on my lips - ''As long as you don't do that by disrespecting a punishment that Klaus and Hayley gave you.'' - Dr. Saltzman added and my cheeks burned with embarrassment. Getting scolded by the father of the girl I like is definitely embarrassing.

''I know, Dr. Saltzman.'' - I decided to agree, because I know that deep down he was right.

''Well...'' - He smiled slightly and turned to go up the stairs - ''I'm just going to check on Josie and I'll be right back here to take you home.'' - He warned, before turning and leaving.

''So you mean you're screwed, Mikaelson?'' - Lizzie teased, when her father had left the two of us alone.

''This is not a joke, Lizzie.'' - I huffed, rolling my eyes.

''Why? What is your dad going to do? Put a dagger in you and lock you inside a coffin?'' - She scoffed and I laughed. It was funny, I confess.

''Oh, shut up.'' - I looked at her, but I was still laughing.

''Look...'' - Lizzie looked at me, as soon as I had stopped laughing - ''It was cool that you helped me with my dad.'' - Is it just me or does Lizzie want to thank me for helping her with Dr. Saltzman?

''Two times.'' - I teased her because pissing off Lizzie Saltzman was something that was definitely fun to do.

''Don't full of yourself, Mikaelson.'' - She huffed, rolling her eyes. - ''Before I give up on saying what I should say.'' - Lizzie paused dramatically and I raised my eyebrows at her, waiting for her to continue. - ''Thanks for taking care of my sister.'' - She suddenly let go. Wait. What?

''Is that what I heard?'' - I looked at her, not believing what I had heard.

''Don't make me repeat it, Mikaelson, because I won't.'' - Lizzie stated and I grimaced in confusion - ''You still don't understand?'' - She questioned, snorting - ''What I mean, is that I will not be angry if you and Josie decide to stay together.'' - This time she was clear, but I still couldn't believe that this was the same person who had punched me in the nose just because I had kissed her sister.

''Who are you and what have you done with Lizzie Saltzman?'' - I asked, just to be sure.

''I still don't like you.'' - Well, she was a bitch again. Looks like this was still the Lizzie Saltzman I know. - ''But…'' - She continued, letting out a sigh. - ''I realized that you really care about Josie and after what happened with Penelope, I really think my sister deserves to be happy.'' - Lizzie completed and I looked at her for a moment.

''Okay.'' - That's all I said, because I didn't really know what to say.

''That doesn't mean we're going to be friends or anything.'' - Lizzie wanted to make it clear, which made me laugh.

''Obviously.'' - I nodded with an ironic smile - ''So...'' - I looked at her, extending my hand to her - ''Truce?'' - I suggested and she shook her head, but smiled.

''Truce accepted, Mikaelson.'' - Lizzie looked at me, taking my hand - ''However, I'll warn you...'' - She got serious and squeezed my hand tightly - ''If you hurt my sister, I'll kill you.'' - Lizzie threatened and I pulled my hand away from her grip.

''I definitely understand that part.'' - I assured, shaking the hand she had shaken - ''By the way... '' - I opened a smile and looked at her - ''You have a great right punch.'' - I praised and Lizzie laughed.

''Looks like you're getting along well...'' - Dr. Saltzman appeared in the room and we both shook our heads - ''Come on, Hope, I'll take you.'' - He looked at me and I nodded.

With that, I followed Dr. Saltzman to his car and soon he started the car and started driving towards my house. But when we arrived at the corner of the house, I asked him to drop me off. He didn't want to agree at first, but I explained to him that I didn't want my dad to know I was with Josie all night. Because Dr. Saltzman knows my dad and knows how jealous he is, he kind of ended up agreeing. Then I thanked him for the ride and asked him not to fight with Josie when she wakes up. He laughed and so we said our goodbyes.

It's only now that I'm walking back home that I'm realizing the shit I've done. It was well past six in the morning. Seriously, I'm so screwed. Just thinking about what awaits me when I get home doesn't even make me want to go back, but I know I need to. Like it or not, I opted for it when I decided to escape punishment. And can I speak? I do not regret it. The party next to Josie was wonderful. No doubt I would escape again if I had to.

Hey guys. As I promised I would post before the month was out, here's chapter 10 for you guys. However, I have to warn you that I will probably post only twice in the month from now on, after all I am really busy with work and in my spare time, I am working on chapter 18 of this story and the new story that I am writing. So forgive me for any grammatical errors you notice. Sometimes I don't have time to proofread and English isn't my native language, but I'm trying to do my best.

Anyway... What did you think of the chapter? I personally confess that I loved writing the Hizzie moments, because I really love their friendship on the show. What about Hope? She won't admit it, but she's very fond of Josie. The problem is, now she's got a big of a problem. Well, not just her, but Josie too. Let's see what will happen.

That's it. Good week to you! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
