It's been a wild day for Alaric. First he was possessed by a thousand year old vampire who used him to kidnap his friend, his brother and one of his students. Once he wasn't useful anymore he was promptly ditched and thrown out of Isobel's house. And now he's standing on the porch at the Gilbert house with crossbow pointed at his chest.

"It's me!" He raised his hands, "Klaus left my body."

"Prove it." John demanded keeping his crossbow pointed at Alaric.

He looked over the man's shoulder and saw Jenna, "During our first night together Jeremy walked in when I was about to-"

"It's him!" Jenna suddenly exclaimed, "It's him."

"Why did Klaus let you go?" Elena asked as John let Alaric in.

"Klaus wanted to me to send you a message." Alaric said, "The sacrifice happens tonight."

"Do you really think he knows where Stefan and Damon are?" Caroline asked as they pulled up to the Lockwood Mansion.

"He showed up at the dance with Katherine." Jeremy stated before he sighed, "And Damon killed his uncle."

Caroline looked up at the mansion nervously, "You know he has every right to say no."

"Yeah." Jeremy agreed before he swung the door open.

The two of them walked up the steps and onto the porch. They exchanged one last look before Caroline knocked on the door. They stood idle as they heard the thumping of footsteps. The door swung open revealing an annoyed Tyler.

"I heard you guys and forget it." Tyler snarled as he moved to swing the door closed but Caroline stopped it.

"Tyler, please." Caroline pleaded, "We know you've been working with Katherine, Drake and Klaus."

Tyler looked alarmed, "How do you know about Drake?"

"Tyler let us explain everything." Jeremy stepped forward, "Katherine and Drake can't be trusted."

"And I can trust you?" Sneered Tyler, "You're literally trying to free the guy who killed my uncle."

Caroline sighed and nodded, "We know Tyler but this isn't about Stefan or Damon. Klaus is planning to break a curse and-"

"I know all about the sun and moon curse and I don't care." He pointed at his earring, "With this I'm stronger and faster and I don't ever have to shift again. I can even stand toe to toe with Damon."

Astonished, Jeremy asked, "You fought Damon?"

"Yeah, kicked his ass too before Drake interrupted." He smirked, "Drake was the one who made the Moonlight Amulet, he's the one who made sure that I never had to shift again."

Caroline nodded, knowing the pain Tyler had to go through under the Full Moon, "Tyler. There is no sun and moon curse." The werewolf looked at the blonde in confusion, "The curse is on Klaus and to break it they're going to sacrifice a vampire, a werewolf and a doppelganger."

A pregnant silence filled the air as Tyler slowly realized what that meant, "Elena."

"We need Stefan and Damon's help to save her." Jeremy stated, "You just need to tell us where they are."

"I need to call Matt." Tyler immediately said, pulling out his phone, "He needs to know." He raised the phone to his ear.

"Matt knows?" Gawked Caroline.

"Drake and Katherine told him that Stefan killed Vicki." He said as Matt picked up, "We have a problem.

"We're at the finish line." Katherine said holding up the moonstone, "It would be a shame if one of us stumbled."

Klaus smirked as he took the stone from her, "I've been waiting for this night for centuries, love. It will go perfectly or else blood and fire will rain down on this town."

Drake entered the room and said, "I'm gonna go ahead and guess that I'll be the one providing the fire." He made his way across the room and grabbed a wine bottle, "We've ensured the safety of Luka and Jules, and imprisoned the Salvatore boys."

"Let's grab Elena and get it over with." Katherine stated, "They'll be running around like chickens with their heads cut off while we break the curse."

"Patience, Katerina." Klaus grabbed the bottle from Drake and poured some in a glass, "This night has been a thousand years in the making, let's savor it."

"Savor it too much and you'll miss your chance. . .again." Drake warned, "You'll wait another month before you can break the curse and who knows what'll happen then."

"Elena shares the Petrova trait of stubbornness." Katherine stated, "She won't run, she'll try to find a way to stop us and-"

"If she in any way tries to prevent me from returning to my full strength then we'll have to trade one vampire for another." The Original stated as he turned to look at their guest. Across the room, tied down to a chair sat Jenna and next to her Jules, also tied down to a chair. Klaus sauntered across the room and rested a hand on Jenna's cheek, "You better hope Elena makes the smart choice and accepts her fate, love, otherwise I'll be forced to retaliate."

"I for one hope she tries something heroically stupid." Katherine raised her hand, "The idea of Elena watching dear aunt Jenna perish right before she does is just. . .delicious."

Drake shrugged, "It would be entertaining. . .but troublesome so let's stick with the vampire we've got."

"You're no fun when you're all business." She threw an arm around her brother's shoulder, "But you do get results when you want them."

"Drake's the business and Katherine's the party." Drake sighed, "It's an old formula but it works." He looked over to his sister and smiled.

Klaus set down his glass on the table, "I'm afraid I have to leave or bear the risk of vomiting." He made his way to the door but not before he ordered the twins, "If anything goes wrong tonight and I find out you're behind it it'll be your heads."

The twins gave him a pair of forced smiles, "Wouldn't dream of it." Katherine replied before Klaus left.

"Togther." Tyler grunted.

Tyler and Caroline moved the stone door to the tomb. Once the door was successfully moved Elena, Jeremy and Matt turned on their flashlights. None of them dared to enter as Damon and Stefan haven't had blood in over a week. Elena took the first step towards the tomb.

"Stefan! Damon!" She called out for them, her voice echoing into the tomb.

Suddenly Damon appeared at the doorway. He looked tired and dehydrated, "Please tell me you brought blood."

"Elena?" Stefan's voice echoed from the darkness just before he appeared behind Damon.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Damon sneered at Tyler.

"Saving your ass." Tyler shot back, "Even though you don't deserve it."

"Neither of you do." Matt added.

"Enough, guys!" Elena exclaimed, "We have to find a way to get you guys out."

"Without Bonnie we can't do anything about the spell." Jeremy stated.

"Yes you can." A new voice echoed.

Everyone watched as Luka entered the light, "Whenever Drake or Katherine came by to feed us I would overhear their conversations." He leaned on the wall and coughed, "Drake sealed it with blood magic."

"Blood magic?" Caroline asked, "What does that mean?"

"It's a special form of magic." He answered, "Long story short Drake made it so that only those who share his blood can control who comes and goes. We'll need Petrova blood to exit."

"My blood." Elena said as she realized what she needed to do.

"Elena, you have witch blood in you." Luka stated, "You may not be as powerful as Drake but you still have enough to let us out."

Elena nodded before she reached out with both hands. Damon and Stefan gave each other a silent look before they took her hands. Elena gently pulled them ahead but to no avail. She tried again and pulled them but they were trapped behind the wall.

"Focus, Elena." Luka encouraged, "It's a part of you, it's always been with you."

Elena looked at the former witch and nodded. She closed her eyes and took a step back. This time she didn't feel Damon and Stefan's hands stuck in the barrier. Opening her eyes she saw the two vampires out of the tomb and she smiled before she threw herself into Stefan's arms.

The joy was cut short when Luka screamed. Everyone turned to watch as the vampire crumbled to the floor. His skin grayed and his veins pertuted. He gasped just before he looked up at the others and exhaled his last breath of air.

"They knew we would be here." Elena stated, "He's going to punish us."

Drake was watching the sunset when he felt it, "Luka's dead, they freed Stefan and Damon."

Katherine didn't hesitate, she gripped Jenna's head and snapped it, "Now we're back to our quota of vampires."

"It's as you predicted." Klaus said making his presence known, "You knew she would try to save the Salvatores."

"Elena's predictable, as are her friends. She'll do anything for the ones she loves and they'll do anything for her." Katherine said, "Of course they'd help Elena get them out."

"The sun has set." Drake said sternly, "It's time to begin."

Klaus had a satisfied smile plastered on his face, "And so it begins."
