AN: I left the SVU fandom in 2016. I couldn't take the hypocrites, the pretenders, nor the performers - people paying lip service and using buzz words in a vie for…wokest while still ignoring their own faults. Fandom in general is full of great pretenders, but there's something about SVU that draws pretenders who turn into faux activists doing the bare minimum but expecting gold stars. Might not write here, but I know what goes on, on Twitter.
Idk. Since then, I've had a lot of major life changes. My mom passed, I left the Midwest for California. I started grad school. Ran the election gambit as a grassroots organizer, helping to win several big elections. I secured an agent for my first novel (working on that now) and started my path to a full-blown career in TV / Film Writing. I'm not exactly content, but I'm getting there.
So, why am I writing this? I constantly get messages from people who still follow me for my SVU stories asking me to return. Some of y'all even leave reviews on my Scandal stories asking me to pick back up my SVU ones (maybe one day I'll write Olivia Pope and Olivia Benson in a crossover). Well, I just wanted you all to know that I've been digging through my old laptop and found tidbits + chapter notes for all my unfinished SVU stories. I'm kicking around some ideas and wondering what it'd be like to pick back up on my stories or at least give spark note versions of the endings. Especially with all things EO hitting the fan.
Not promising anything at all. Kicking around ideas and considering it.
After all, if Chris can return, maybe so can I.
