Chapter 2: More Traveling Preparations
It's now morning in Fortune Village and Kibou leaves his house to find Celica, but instead, he finds Tsubaki.
"Hi, Tsu. So, ready to get started on finishing that boat?" Kibou asked.
"Oh, so you're NOT gonna laze around like you always do?" Tsubaki asked.
"Hey, I'm not gonna! Why do you feel like you gotta start something?" Kibou asked.
"I'm only being brutally honest." Tsubaki said.
"Well, can you at least TRY to be nice for a change?" Kibou asked.
"Just calm down. By the way, I was thinking of naming our boat. I was gonna call it Blazer." Tsubaki said.
"Well, I think it should be Kingdom!" Kibou said.
"That's a stupid name." Tsubaki said.
"YOU'RE stupid!" Kibou snapped.
"Oh, so you wanna settle this, huh?" Tsubaki asked.
"You have no idea!" Kibou said.
"Fine, you and me at the village gates." Tsubaki said, leaving.
"Kibou, don't tell me you and Tsu are at it again?" Eliot asked, arriving.
"Oh, we are. I think it's about time I shut her up!" Kibou said.
"Oh, I hate it when friends fight…" Eliot said.
"I won't make you watch. I'm just settling it." Kibou said.
Kibou makes his way through the village and later goes for the gates.
(Village Gates)
Kibou arrives at the village gates, where he finds Tsubaki, who is carrying a wooden sword.
"So, you ready?" Tsubaki asked.
"Yeah, I am!" Kibou said, taking out his wooden sword.
"Let's make this interesting. If you win, you can call the boat your stupid name, but WHEN I win, I'll be leader when we travel." Tsubaki said.
"Fine by me." Kibou said.
"Get ready...FIGHT!" Tsubaki said.
(Battle Theme: Crashing the Village)
Tsubaki charges at Kibou and attacks with her wooden sword followed by a thrusting strike and delivers a spinning attack. Kibou counters and delivers his spinning attack with his wooden sword to get Tsubaki, who manages to block and they exchange attacks left and right with neither of them giving each other an inch. Tsubaki delivers a horizontal attack while Kibou gives a swinging strike and they lock wooden swords.
"Heh, not bad for a dork." Tsubaki said.
"Stop insulting me!" Kibou yelled.
Tsubaki delivers a kick at Kibou, who recovers and attacks Tsubaki twice with his wooden sword followed by a spinning strike. Tsubaki blocks every attack and strikes back at Kibou, who also blocks every strike and delivers a roundhouse strike, sending Tsubaki down. Tsubaki delivers a stand up kick, knocking Kibou back and the two keep attacking each other with their wooden swords until Kibou delivers a sweeping strike, sending Tsubaki down, but Tsubaki also delivers a sweeping strike to send Kibou down. The two get back up and prepare to strike at each other with their wooden swords again, as they're both ready to strike.
"STOP!" A voice shouted, making the two stop and they turn to see Celica with her hands on her hips and Eliot is with her.
"Oh, crap…" Kibou said.
"Eliot told me everything and I can't believe this is what you two are resorting to!" Celica said.
"Sorry, Celi. Kibou was just being an idiot." Tsubaki said.
"YOU'RE the one who annoyed me!" Kibou yelled.
"BOTH of you shut up! Since you two are outside, you can actually do something for me." Celica said.
Meanwhile, it's a new day in Destiny Islands and Sora arrives at the beach and he makes his way through the beach and later arrives at the next part of the island.
(Shore)
Sora arrives at the shoreline and finds Riku.
"So, Sora, what name should we have for our raft? I'm thinking Highwind." Riku said.
"Well, I'm thinking Excalibur." Sora said.
"Should we do the usual?" Riku asked.
"You're on!" Sora said.
"Are you two at it again?" Kairi asked, arriving. "Okay, I'll be the judge for the race. You guys race for that star at the end and come back here. Whoever reaches the star and comes back here first is the winner." Kairi explained.
"Let's do it!" Sora said, as he and Riku get into their starting position. "If I win, I'm captain and if you win…" Sora was cut off.
"I get to share the paopu with Kairi." Riku said.
"What?" Sora asked.
"Deal? Whoever wins shares the paopu with Kairi." Riku said.
"Wait a sec…" Sora stops talking.
"Okay, on my count! Get...set...GO!" Kairi yelled.
Sora and Riku begin having their race across the shore and they later reach the star at the end and make their way back to the start.
"Yes! I win!" Sora cheered.
"Lighten up, Sora. It's just a name." Riku said.
"Wait, what about the whole sharing the paopu with Kairi deal?" Sora asked.
"Oh, that was just a joke. You should've seen the look on your face." Riku said, making Sora puff a look of annoyance.
Later, Sora finds Kairi with the completed raft.
"Hi, Sora. So, now that the raft is complete, we'll need food for travel. We'll need some fish, mushrooms, and coconuts. We'll also need water, but not from the ocean. Here's a bottle." Kairi said, giving Sora a bottle for water.
"Great. I'll get those right now." Sora said.
Meanwhile in Fortune Village, Kibou and Tsubaki are talking to Celica.
"So, since you two have so much pent up energy, you'll be spending the day gathering some food for our journey. We're gonna need some berries, apples, and fish. I've already got water covered." Celica said.
"Okay, Celi. I'll get the food for you." Tsubaki said.
"I won't let you down." Kibou said.
"And you are gonna work together!" Celica said.
"Okay…" Kibou and Tsubaki said.
Meanwhile, Sora begins his search and returns to the beach and finds fish in the water, so he grabs three fish and later finds a waterfall and fills the bottle with water. Sora goes for the small island and starts whacking trees to get some coconuts and after getting enough coconuts, Sora begins collecting mushrooms. Sora searches for any more mushrooms and later finds a cave next to the water fall from earlier and enters the cave.
(Cave)
Sora is now in the cave and goes through the tunnel, where he finds a wide area of many drawings on the cave's walls. While looking around, Sora finds drawings of himself and Kairi back when they were little and so, Sora makes an addition of him giving Kairi a paopu fruit. Just then, Sora hears something and turns to see a figure in a brown hooded robe.
"Who're you?" Sora asked.
"I've come to see the door to this world." The robed figure said.
"What?" Sora asked.
"This world has been connected." The robed figure said.
"What are you talking about?" Sora asked.
"Tied to the darkness. Soon to be completely eclipsed." The robed figure said.
"Whoever you are, stop freaking me out like this. Where did you even come from?" Sora asked.
"You do not yet know what lies beyond the door." The robed figure said.
"Are you from another world?" Sora asked.
"There is so very much to learn. You understand so little." The robed figure said.
"Oh, yeah? You'll see! I'll get out and learn what's out there!" Sora said.
"A meaningless effort. One, who knows nothing can understand nothing." The robed figure said.
Sora turns back to see a door, but as he turns back to the robed figure, he's gone.
"That was weird…" Sora said.
Sora finds another mushroom, takes it, and then leaves the cave to make his way back to Kairi.
Meanwhile, Kibou and Tsubaki leave the village gates and go further outside.
(Village Road)
Kibou and Tsubaki begin moving through the village road to find the food they need and they go for a grassy field full of bushes with blue berries, red berries, and green berries. Kibou begins picking as much berries as possible while Tsubaki does the same thing until they collect enough berries. Kibou and Tsubaki find trees that have red and green apples, so Kibou whacks the trees to make apples fall and he catches them while Tsubaki does the same thing until they have enough apples. The two then go for the lake to find some fish and Kibou and Tsubaki manage to gather enough fish.
"I think we got enough." Kibou said.
"Hold on. I think we should gather some mushrooms too." Tsubaki said.
"Sure, I guess." Kibou said.
Kibou and Tsubaki begin searching for mushrooms across the field and they manage to collect as many mushrooms. While still searching for more mushrooms, Kibou finds a cave and decides to go into the cave.
(Village Cave)
Kibou enters the village cave and explores around to find anything, but then, he finds what looks like a door and so Kibou walks for it. As Kibou gets close to the door, he hears something and turns to see a figure in dark grey robes.
"Whoa! Who're you supposed to be?" Kibou asked.
"I'm here to seek the door, leading to this world." The robed figure said.
"Huh?" Kibou asked.
"Did you not know? This world is connected and tied to the darkness. Destined to be devoured." The robed figure said.
"I dunno who you are, but you're creeping me out! I've never seen you before. Where're you from?" Kibou asked.
"A simple child such as you does not know what lies beyond the door." The robed figure said.
"Wait, you're from another world, right?" Kibou asked.
"There is a lot to seek, yet you are too feeble-minded to understand a thing." The robed figure said.
"Okay, you know what, I'm gonna go out to see many worlds! Just watch! I'll learn a lot!" Kibou said.
"Such a futile attempt. Those who know nothing are doomed to learn so little." The robed figure said.
Kibou looks back at the door, but then turns back to find the robed figure gone.
"Who was that? What kind of crap was he talking about?" Kibou asked.
Kibou leaves the cave and returns to Tsubaki.
"There you are. We have enough food. Let's go back." Tsubaki said.
"Yeah, sure." Kibou said, as he looks back at the cave and joins Tsubaki.
Meanwhile, Sora makes his way back to the shore and finds Kairi making something.
"Whatcha making?" Sora asked.
"Oh, this? I'm making a charm out of Thalassa shells. In the old days, sailors always wear these to ensure a safe voyage. So, I decided to make a charm so we can find each other if we get separated. The three of us will always be together, no matter how far we are." Kairi said, showing an unfinished star-shaped charm.
"That's pretty cool. So, I found what we need." Sora said.
"Great. Thanks, Sora. Well, it's getting late. We better get rest to get ready for tomorrow." Kairi said.
"Yeah." Sora said.
Meanwhile, Kibou and Tsubaki return to the village gates, where they find Celica.
"Hey, we found enough food for our journey." Kibou said.
"Good. See what happens when you work together than against each other?" Celica asked.
"Sure, Celi." Tsubaki said.
"Anyway, Eliot and I manage to finish up the boat while you were out. C'mon." Celica said.
The three arrive at Celica's house, where they find the boat complete.
"Wow, I can't believe it's already done. Now we'll be ready to go tomorrow." Kibou said.
"Yep. It's getting late now. We'll have to get ready for our big adventure tomorrow." Celica said.
"Well, in that case, I'm outta here." Tsubaki said, leaving.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow, Celica." Kibou said, leaving.
While Kibou is making his way back home, he finds Eliot.
"What's up, El?" Kibou asked.
"I hope you're not mad I told Celica…" Eliot said.
"I'm not mad. Hey, let's spend some time together since I was stuck with Tsu most of the day." Kibou said.
"Okay." Eliot said.
Meanwhile, it's sunset in Destiny Islands and Sora and Kairi are watching the sunset on the docks.
"You know, Riku has changed." Kairi said.
"Whaddya mean?" Sora asked.
"Well…" Kairi stops talking.
"You okay?" Sora asked.
"Sora, let's get on the raft and go. Just the two of us." Kairi said.
"What?" Sora asked.
"Just kidding." Kairi said.
"What's gotten into you? You're the one that's changed, Kairi." Sora said.
"Maybe. You know, at first, I was a little afraid, but now I'm ready. No matter where I go or what I see, I know I can just come back here, right?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, of course." Sora said.
"That's good. Sora, don't ever change." Kairi said.
"Huh?" Sora asked.
"I just can't wait once we set sail. It'll be great." Kairi said, as they continue to watch the sunset.
Meanwhile, it's sunset in Fortune Village and Kibou and Eliot watch the sunset on a building roof.
"Do you think Celica and Tsu have changed?" Eliot asked.
"Huh? Changed how? Tsu's still the same and Celica, I dunno…" Kibou said.
"Oh…" Eliot said.
"What's wrong?" Kibou asked.
"Hey, Kibou… Maybe we should sneak onto that boat, take it, and leave. Just together!" Eliot said.
"Wait, what?" Kibou asked.
"Oh, I was...kidding…" Eliot said.
"Jeez, El, you had me goin' there. If I didn't know better, maybe YOU'VE changed." Kibou said.
"I dunno… You know, at first, I was kinda scared, but since you're coming with me, I'm kind of excited. No matter what will happen, you'll be there for me, right?" Eliot asked.
"Yeah, of course, El." Kibou said.
"That's good. Hey, Kibou, can you not change for me? I like you the way you are." Eliot said.
"Huh?" Kibou asked.
"I'm just looking forward to tomorrow. I'm sure we'll be okay." Eliot said.
Meanwhile in Disney Castle at the library, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy are talking to each other.
"Okay, Donald, what's this 'top secret' thing you were talking about?" Daisy asked in a stern tone.
"Please tell us and where's Mickey?" Minnie asked.
"Okay, here's what I've found." Donald said, showing them the letter.
"Donald,
Sorry to rush off without sayin' goodbye, but there's big trouble brewin'. Not sure why, but stars have been blinkin' out one by one and that means disaster can't be too far behind. I hate to leave you all, but I've gotta check into it. Now, don'tcha worry about me. I have some help with me. A good friend of mine contacted me and told me she's also aware of the situation. Her name is Princess Celestia and I'll be goin' with her to check out what's happenin'. In the meantime, I have a job for you and Goofy. There're two people with certain items that can help us. One, who holds the 'key' and the other, who holds the 'gem'. They're the ones needed for our survival. I need you and Goofy to find 'em and stick with 'em, got it? We need the key and the gem or we're doomed! Go to Traverse Town and find two people named Leon and Titania. They'll point ya to the right direction.

Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks, pal!"
Mickey.
After reading the letter, everyone is now worried.
"Oh, dear! This is terrible! What could this mean?" Daisy asked.
"It means we'll just have to trust the King." Minnie assured.
"Gawrsh, I sure hope he's alright." Goofy said, worried.
"Your Highness! Don't worry! We'll find the King, this Princess Celestia, this 'key', and this 'gem'!" Donald said.
"Thank you, both of you." Minnie said.
"Daisy, can you take of…" Donald was cut off.
"Of course. You be careful now. Both of you." Daisy said.
"Oh, and to chronicle your travels, he will accompany you." Minnie said, showing the desk, but Donald sees nothing.
"Over here!" A voice said, revealing to be a small green cricket wearing a blue top hat, a red vest with a black coat over it, white gloves, and yellow shoes jumping up and down. "Cricket's the name. Jiminy Cricket at your service!" Jiminy introduced, taking off his hat and bowing.
"We hope for your safe return. Please, help the King." Minnie said and Donald salutes.
"Good luck, Donald!" Goofy said, saluting.
"Oh, no! You're coming too!" Donald said, dragging Goofy out.
Donald and Goofy go through the courtyard and walk down a passage and walking down a spiral of stairs.
"Gawrsh, Jiminy. Your world disappeared too?" Goofy asked.
"It was terrible. We were scattered. As far as I can tell, I'm the only one who made it to this castle." Jiminy said.
"Goofy…" Donald warned, looking back with a stern look.
"Oh, right! I gotcha! While we're in other worlds, we can't let on where we're from. We gotta protect the world border!" Goofy said.
"Order!" Donald corrected.
"Oh, right! World order." Goofy said, chuckling and making Donald sigh. "So, I guess we'll need some new duds when we get there." Goofy said.
Donald and Goofy enter a hanger and reach a gold tube.
"Hello up there! Donald Duck to launch crew! Anytime you're ready!" Donald said through the tube.
In a control room, a chipmunk with a black nose and wearing an apron salutes while another chipmunk with a red nose goes for the control panel and pulls down a lever. A mechanical hand grabs Donald and Goofy and are put in what looks like a ship, which opens a cockpit. Once in the ship, Pluto goes into the ship with them while Minnie and Daisy watch them prepare to leave. Daisy looks up at Donald with a hopeful look and Donald gives a thumbs up while winking, as the ship starts and the doors opens.
"Blast off!" Donald ordered, but the ship goes down a hole.
Later, the ship drops out of Disney Castle and into a space area, as the ship begins to fly through space.
There's Chapter 2, with Kibou and Sora doing more travel preps before their adevnture begins. You could say we're nearing the end of the calm before the storm and finally getting to the action. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you in Chapter 3. See ya.
