Chapter 3: Destruction of Both Worlds
It's nighttime in Destiny Islands and Sora is in his room, lying on his bed, and looks up to see his wooden boat with two toy passengers.
"I just can't wait once we set sail. It'll be great." Sora remembered what Kairi said from the sunset.
Just then, a loud roar is heard, making Sora turn to his window to see the skies completely dark with lightning.
"A storm…? Oh, no! The raft!" Sora said.
"Sora, dinners ready! Come on down!" Sora's mother called, but no response. "Sora?" Sora's mother asked, going to his room, only to find the room empty and the window is open.
Meanwhile in Fortune Village, it's nighttime and Kibou is in his house, in his room, lying on his bed while looking up at the ceiling thinking about the next day. Just then, Kibou hears a loud roar, so he looks out his window to find the skies dark with lightning flashing and thunder is roaring.
"A storm? Oh, crap! The boat!" Kibou said, getting off his bed and rushes for the door.
"Better hurry, Kibou." A young male voice said, making Kibou turn to see a figure wearing blue and silver armor with silver gauntlets, silver armored boots, a dark blue and red loincloth around his waist, and a silver metallic helmet mask leaning against the wall.
"Who're you?" Kibou asked.
"Or you'll never see your friends again." The armored masked figure said.
"What do you mean by that?! I can see El, Celica, and even Tsu anytime I want!" Kibou yelled.
"Like right now? Celica's gonna be gone, Tsubaki's gonna leave you behind, and Eliot will be gone too. By the time you find them, Tsubaki will be a different person and you'll never see Celica and Eliot again." The armored masked figure said.
"I dunno who you think you are, but you don't KNOW anything about my friends! I'll always be by their side! You tryin' to pick a fight or what?" Kibou asked.
"Oh, grow up. Is that really what you call friendship? You'll never know a thing unless you go out and see for yourself. Honestly, what could you possibly find out if you're just gonna remain in your tiny world, which will vanish?" The armored masked figure said, as he opens a dark portal and disappears in it.
"What's he talking about?" Kibou asked, but thunder roars again. "I gotta hurry!" Kibou said, leaving his house.
(Battle Theme: Night of Fate)
Meanwhile in Destiny Islands, Sora arrives at the island and finds a giant orb in the sky.
"What's that?" Sora asked, and finds two more boats. "Riku's boat and Kairi's!" Sora said, but then, something emerges from the ground and they are black creatures with yellow eyes. "The ones from my dream!" Sora said.
Sora tries to attack with his wooden sword, but he's not hurting them and one of the shadows attack, only for Sora to escape. Sora makes his way for the small island and later finds Riku.
"Where's Kairi? I thought she was with you." Sora said.
"The door...has opened." Riku said.
"What?" Sora asked.
"The door's opened, Sora. Now we can go to the outside world." Riku said.
"What're you talking about? We gotta find Kairi." Sora said.
"Kairi's coming with us!" Riku said abruptly, making Sora aback. "Once we step through, we may never come back. We may never see our parents again. There's no going back, but this is our only chance. We can't let fear stop us. I'm not afraid of the darkness!" Riku said, offering his hand.
"Riku…" Sora stops talking, as a pool of darkness appears under Riku.
The darkness starts wrapping around Riku as dark appears under Sora as well and despite his struggle, Sora is trapped, as he tries to reach Riku, but both boys are in darkness.
Just then, a bright light appears in the darkness and Sora is free from darkness and in his right hand is a key-shaped sword with a silver blade with teeth looking like a crown, gold hilt, and a silver keychain with a mouse head at the end.
"Keyblade… Keyblade…" A voice said.
Meanwhile, Kibou leaves his house and is outside in the village and while looking around, he looks up at the sky to find a giant orb in the sky.
"What's that?!" Kibou asked and just then, black creatures emerge from the ground. "Those THINGS from my dream!" Kibou said, taking out his wooden sword and tries to attack, but nothing happens. "I'm not doing anything!" Kibou said.
The shadows try to attack Kibou, who avoids them to find his friends and later, he finds Tsubaki.
"Where're El and Celica?" Kibou asked.
"I don't know." Tsubaki said.
"What?" Kibou asked.
"You deaf or something?! I said I don't know!" Tsubaki said.
"Well, we gotta find them!" Kibou said.
"Kibou, that masked freak. He…" Tsubaki was cut off, as darkness appears under her and Kibou.
"Tsu!" Kibou said, trying to reach Tsubaki, but the darkness wraps him and Tsubaki.
Later the shadows latch and cover the two and are now in darkness and everything turns black, but just then, a bright light appears in the darkness and Kibou is now free from darkness. Kibou looks around to find what looks like a blue and white gem.
"What's…" Kibou stops talking, as shadows appear, but the gem in his hand transforms into what looks like a katana with the blade being pure white with the tip of the blade having star shape while the hilt of the katana is blue with tiny gold stars and at the end of the hilt is a chain that has a sun symbol. "What's this…?" Kibou asked.
The shadows leap to attack at Kibou, who swings the katana and manages to destroy them, as they disappear in black mist.
"This thing can destroy them? I gotta…." Kibou was cut off by a shake. "Now what?" Kibou asked.
"This village is doomed!" A voice said, and Kibou turns to see the masked boy.
"You again?" Kibou asked.
"This village is on the verge of destruction. There's nothing you can do." The masked boy said.
"Whatever. I'm gonna find Celica and Eliot and…" Kibou was cut off by another shake.
"Like I said, nothing you can do. See for yourself!" The masked boy said, unleashing a black gust of wind, pushing Kibou back.
Meanwhile, Sora makes his way through the island while fighting off shadow creatures with the key sword, as it can destroy them. Sora later finds a door where the cave is and opens it, taking him into the cave. Sora rushes through the cave to find Kairi with the door.
"Kairi!" Sora called, making Kairi turn to him, but she has a sad look.
"So...ra…" Kairi said in a monotone voice.
The door opens, causing gusts of wind to blow Kairi to Sora, who tries to grab her, but she vanishes and the gust of wind sends Sora out of the cave.
Kibou is now out of the village and is now on the village road, where he finds Celica.
"Celica!" Kibou called.
"Kibou! You're okay!" Celica said.
"Just what's going on? What's happening?" Kibou asked.
"I don't know. Tsubaki and I found a masked figure going into the cave and…" Celica stops talking.
"What?" Kibou asked.
"Kibou, Eliot's in the cave too. We need to find him." Celica said.
"Okay, but Tsu's gone…." Kibou said.
"She'll be fine. Come on. Hurry!" Celica said.
Kibou and Celica rush for the cave, which has a door, so Kibou opens it, taking them into the cave, where they find Eliot.
"El!" Kibou called, making Eliot turn to them scared.
"K-Kibou…" Eliot said, scared.
The door opens, unleashing a powerful gust of wind, blowing Eliot to Kibou, who holds him, but the wind sends the trio out of the cave.
Meanwhile, Sora lands on the beach, but looks around to see there's nothing left in the island and Sora's in the dark skies, reaching for the orb.
"This is…" Sora stops talking, as he turns to see a giant shadow creature with yellow eyes, small wings, black tendrils on its face, giant claws, and open heart hole on its chest. "You again?" Sora asked, as his key weapon appears. "Better deal with this." Sora said.
(Boss Theme: Destiny's Force)
The giant black creature known as Darkside places its head on the ground while unleashing a shock wave and later, Darkside pulls out a giant red orb and then makes it explode, raining down small spiked orbs. Sora dodges the raining orbs and starts attacking Darkside's right arm with his key sword, only for Darkside to unleash dark energy and thrusts its hand into the ground, creating a pool of darkness. Shadow creatures emerge from the dark pool and attack Sora, who easily defeats them and keeps attacking Darkside's arms with his key sword, but Darkside uses its heart-shaped hole to unleash dark projectiles at Sora. Sora dodges the projectiles and keeps attacking the arms with his key sword and manages to climb and delivers the final blow on Darkside's head, making it hold its head in pain.
Darkside ascends up for the orb while Sora tries to hold onto a piece of wood to struggle away from the orb. Despite his effort, Sora's grip gets weak, as the orb's suction gets strong, making Sora let go of the wood and he also ascends for the orb while taking one more look at his island home.
Meanwhile, Kibou and Eliot land on the road grounds, but Kibou looks around to see everything in terrible shape, as many buildings and houses are floating for the orb, terrifying Eliot. Kibou and Eliot find themselves on a big platform of the village gate in the dark skies, watching everything getting destroyed, making Kibou horrified and Eliot is more scared. Kibou looks to find that Celica is no longer with after being blown out the cave.
"Celica!" Kibou called, but no response and he turns to see the same giant demonic creature from his dream. "You again! I'll get ya this time!" Kibou said, as his gem transforms into its katana form.
"K-Kibou…" Eliot stops talking.
"Just stay with me, El. I'll settle it!" Kibou said.

The demonic creature known as Blackhole slams its fists on the ground, creating what looks like black spikes from the ground to get Kibou, who dodges every black spike and attacks Blackhole's arms with his gem katana and then delivers a good spin slash, only for Blackhole to unleash two giant ethereal orbs and throws them at Kibou. While Kibou dodges the orbs, they cause dark explosions, but Kibou keeps attacking Blackhole with his gem katana and then delivers a roundhouse slash, only for Blackhole to use its heart-shaped hole to unleash homing dark needles to attack Kibou. Kibou manages to deflect the black needles back at Blackhole, who unleashes black and crimson flames from its head to try and burn Kibou, who dodges and climbs onto Blackhole's arms. Kibou reaches for Blackhole's head and delivers aerial slashes with his gem katana and delivers a final spinning slash.
Blackhole then flies for the orb, which starts to cause a suction, as Kibou tries to hold onto a tree to avoid the suction while also holding Eliot, but the suction gets strong while Kibou's grip is weak.
"K-Kibou...! I can't...hold on...!" Eliot said.
"Just hold on as long as you can!" Kibou said.
Eliot's grip on Kibou's hand starts getting weak as well, as Eliot lets go while Kibou lets go of the tree, as they both ascend for the orb.
"Hang on, Eliot!" Kibou said.
The two boys hold each other's hand, only for them to separate.
"KIBOU!" Eliot cried, going for the orb.
"ELIOT!" Kibou cried, while taking one last look at his village home while also going for the orb and everything goes black.
There's Chapter 3, with Kibou's and Sora's worlds devoured by darkness. It looks like now we're getting into the action of the story and we all know where the two boys will end up. Also, sorry if this chapter's shorter, but hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you in Chapter 4. See ya.
