Chapter 9
Existence
"Once upon a time…"
A female voice said
"There was two beings born into the world. One would walk in the light to protect everything around her while the other was born into the darkness knowing things his sister didnt know. The brother would do everything to protect his sister from the terrors of the great darkness that surrounds him. But one day the sister found out the brother's secret and vowed to rescue him from the darkness that surrounds him. The sister gathered her friends from the world and began to charge towards the great darkness ready to save him from his prison before it was too late."
It was revealed that it was Anthea Schaeffer was reading a book to her two five year old children when she noticed one of them was asleep.
She chuckled and closed the book.
"Oh cmon dont stop reading, it was getting good."
Her son said.
"Shh you'll wake up Aelita."
Anthea went to Jayden so he wouldn't try to shout at her.
"But mom the story isn't over."
"I know but we can't just continue without your sister."
"We can, it will be our secret."
Anthea gently shook her head.
"You know she wants to listen to the story together."
Jayden pouted
"Yeah I know."
He laid down in his bed and Anthea placed the book on a nearby bookshelf.
"Goodnight you two."
She said as turned off the light and walked out of the room.
We zoom in on the book as years pass.
Present time period…
Aelita and Jeremie were searching the Hermitage for anything that Franz Hopper might have that could help complete ResurXtion.
Jeremie was searching downstairs while Aelita was in her and Jayden's former room.
She was looking for any clues Hopper might have left in their room when she noticed the book.
"Twins of Two Worlds."
Aelita read the title out loud.
She put the book in her bag.
"Aelita, I think I found something!"
Jeremie shouted, causing Aelita to rush downstairs.
She saw Jeremie looking at some papers that were blank.
"Do you have any water with you?"
He asked Aelita.
She pulls a water bottle out of her bag.
"Yeah why?"
"Watch."
Jeremie said as he took the bottle and poured the water on the papers revealing words on the paper.
"Invisible ink."
Aelita stated.
"Indeed i could tell from the marks all over the paper, i thought it was just debris but as you can see we have something."
The two looked at the papers.
"XANA is almost complete, unfortunately the process of creating it is more complicated than originally planned. So rather than work on it all at once I made the several core elements that will merge into XANA as soon as my program is completed. Unfortunately the only way for this program to work is if each part is completely free of corruption."
The two looked at the next paper which revealed the codes used to combine the pieces of XANA.
"What do you think?"
Aelita asked.
"I might have an idea but it will require a trip to Sector 5 and Jayden would have to come with you all."
"Why?"
"When Jayden pushed through XANA and became X it created his broken form corrupting him and in the process of making ResurXtion we have unintentionally made a search program for Jayden's missing pieces and if we run the program in Sector 5 we should be able to find all his pieces as find the missing data for ResurXtion."
"Ok I see the plan but not why Jayden should come with us."
"Jayden's form and his missing pieces are connected and they are more likely to appear with him nearby."
"But he's gone with us to Sector 5 before, why wouldn't his pieces show up?"
"We never used the search program or looked for his pieces."
"That is true, I still don't like this idea."
"Aelita, trust me if we don't do this Jayden will have a zero percent chance of leaving Lyoko alive."
Aelita sighed, she knew Jeremie was right, she also knew Jayden was on borrowed time as is so at this point it was now or never.
"When are we going?"
"We'll leave tonight when everyone's asleep."
Aelita nods at this and the two leave the Hermitage.
She looked at the book she took from the old house.
'It's almost over Jayden. Soon you'll be free.'
Aelita thought to herself.
Later that night…
Aelita was in her room talking to Jayden.
"Two days."
Jayden said to her.
"What?"
Aelita said a bit concerned and thinking only one thing.
'Don't you say it.'
"I only have two days left before my form completely breaks and I will be gone forever."
Jayden said while looking down.
"Jayden."
"It's ok Aelita, I've been ready for this for a while."
"No Jayden, we're going to Lyoko tonight, we're going to find the data you're going to be fine."
She immediately hung up on Jayden and left her room.
On Lyoko…
"I just don't want her to get her hopes up."
Jayden said to himself.
Meanwhile at the Factory…
Everyone was waiting for Aelita to arrive.
"You really think this will work?"
Yumi asked Jeremie.
"At this point it's our only option."
Jeremie said while getting the search program ready.
"But if this doesnt work then Aelita would-"
Ulrich said before he was interrupted.
"I know! I know."
Jeremie shouted a bit.
"Are you ok?"
Odd asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just worried about Aelita."
"She's tough, she'll be fine."
Ulrich said, trying to cheer him up.
"She's already lost her parents. If she lost her brother I think it'll be too much for her."
Jeremie said as he heard the elevator being called.
"Aelita is here. For now let's focus on the mission and worry about what comes after later."
He turned back to his computer away from his friends who looked concerned.
Aelita entered the lab.
"Are we ready to go?"
She asked.
"Yes I just informed Jayden of the plan, I should be able to virtualize you all close to the edge of the Sector."
"Good then let's hurry."
Aelita went down the ladder to the scanner room.
The others looked at each other then started heading towards the scanner room.
Jeremie started the scanners and virtualized the girls first.
Jayden was waiting in front of them when they arrived on Lyoko.
""Hey sister."
He said as Aelita approached him.
"You're getting out of here soon."
Aelita said while determined.
Ulrich and Odd were virtualized shortly.
The group of five walked to the edge of the sector.
No one said a word, they all knew what was at stake this time around.
Jeremie broke the silence by telling them the transporter was on the way.
They were quickly brought to Sector 5.
"Ugg i don't know what's worse, the transporter messing with my stomach or the tension here?"
Everyone looked at Odd.
Ulrich spoke up.
"Sadly he does have a point."
Aelita sighed.
"We all know what's at stake so let's just do what we do best."
Jayden said as the corridor opened.
They ran down the hallway.
"You have three minutes to find the key otherwise"
Jeremie was interrupted by Aelita.
"We know Jeremie."
They ran to the main room and saw that there was no floor.
"XANA just loves puzzles doesn't he?"
Odd said.
"To our annoyance, yes."
Ulrich added.
Jayden pointed at the ceiling.
"There's the key."
The others saw the key at the center of the ceiling.
Aelita saw several Creepers on the nearby walls.
"Alright here's the plan, Yumi you use your powers to get Ulrich up there while Odd and I cover you, Jayden you stay back."
Jayden knew that he wasn't going to be much help in this situation so he just backed up.
No one disagreed with Aelita's plan so they got to work.
Aelita and Odd began firing at Creepers as Ulrich got close to the key.
"Two minutes guys."
Jeremie said.
As Aelita's plan started to work a Creeper appeared behind Jayden.
He quickly turned around only to be shot in the chest by the Creeper.
Aelita watched her Brother go off the ledge.
Only for him to land on the wall they were facing.
Jayden looked around as his body glitched.
"Gravity walls."
He said.
"Yumi let go of Ulrich!"
Yumi looked at Jayden then let her power go.
Ulrich fell for one second before he was pulled towards the key.
He landed on the ceiling and pushed the key.
The room started to change and a bridge connected the entrance of the room to a new doorway.
The remaining Creepers retreated as the room changed and Ulrich and Jayden landed on the bridge.
"That's one stage down."
Odd stated as they ran to the elevator.
Jayden was ahead of them and Aelita looked at Jayden concerned.
'His body can't take anymore hits.'
Most of the group didn't notice but the cracks on Jayden's body started to spread through him.
As the group reached the Interface Jeremie got an alert.
"We are going to have to put a pin on running the program for now."
He said with a sigh.
"XANA is attacking the Core of Lyoko."
"Now of all times?"
Yumi questioned.
Jayden looked at Aelita as she approached the Interface.
"I'm not worth losing Lyoko."
He said calmly.
Aelita looked at him.
"You ar-"
"I'm not Aelita!"
Jayden shouted which made everyone have a shocked reaction.
"If the core is destroyed and you all are here you'll all be virtualized forever and i'll be gone or if i'm the last one here and you're on earth then you have no way of fighting XANA."
Aelita sighed, she knew she lost this argument.
"Let's just hurry."
Jayden nods at his twin.
"Four vehicles coming up."
Jeremie said as the vehicles materialized.
They got on their respective vehicles with Aelita joining Jayden on the Overspeeder.
Odd and Ulrich went ahead and went to the entrance of the core.
But right before Yumi entered a laser shot the constantly opening and closing entrance causing Yumi and Jayden to split apart and saw a group of three flying mantas chasing them.
Two of them were after the twins.
Aelita started throwing energy fields at the monsters but kept missing due to Jayden dodging the laser fire.
"It's hard to aim with the way you drive, you know?"
"Trying not to get shot is hard too."
Jayden drove up.
"Fine, you drive."
He took Aelita's energy field and it turned into his scythe.
Jayden jumped off the Overspeeder and spinned downwards, slashing the monsters destroying them.
Aelita quickly drove under him and caught him.
"You know you might be better at driving than me."
"I thought so."
The two began heading towards the entrance.
As they were about to go in, a laser shot Jayden in the back.
Aelita watched as her brother fell from the Overspeeder.
Before Jayden fell completely Yumi caught him with the Overwing after destroying the Manta that shot him.
"I got him."
She flew to the entrance and Jayden fell off the Overwing.
The cracks on his body were all over him.
Aelita looked at her brother as he stood up.
"You need to stop, you need rest."
Jayden just shook his head.
"The….core."
"I'll help Odd and Ulrich with the core, you two just figure something out."
Yumi ran to the Core chamber.
Jayden leaned against a wall to stay standing.
"I can't let Lyoko get destroyed."
Aelita stood in front of Jayden.
"You need to stop Jayden at this rate you're going to destroy yourself."
Jayden looked on the ground.
"Doesn't matter, I only have a couple hours at most with the damage I just took."
He looked at his twin.
"Leave me behind."
"What?"
Aelita asked, shocked.
"If you leave me then you'll be free, you can find Dad, beat XANA, live your life."
Jayden fell on the ground while still leaning on the wall.
"Just leave me."
Aelita shook her head and held two energy fields in her hands and combined them.
"I would rather save you."
Jayden held his hand up and Aelita pushed the energy field into his hand.
A large flash of light surrounded the area.
The light caught the attention of the other Lyoko Warriors above them.
Jeremie looked confused as a familiar screen appeared in front of him.
"Synchronization 100%?"
The light vanished.
"Jeremie, what was that?"
Yumi asked.
"I wish I knew."
Suddenly a spinning scythe was thrown from the entrance of the chamber and began destroying creepers all around the core.
Someone jumped up and landed at the bottom of the chamber and caught the scythe before making it vanish.
The person then put both their hands up and formed an energy field..
They slowly moved their hands apart forming two energy fields on each of their sides.
The person resummoned their scythe and pointed it towards the Flying Mantas before spinning the weapon launching the energy fields at the monsters.
They hit every last one of them.
The Lyoko Warriors were shocked.
When they saw the person they couldn't recognize them.
The three of them began to head down.
"Jeremie, who is that?"
Ulrich asked.
"Uhh you might want to ask them."
Jeremie was shocked at the data he was seeing.
The three of them looked at the person holding the scythe.
"Jayden?"
Odd questions.
"Aelita?"
Yumi asked.
"You're both right and wrong."
The person's voice was both Jayden's and Aelita's at the same time.
The person had the same hairstyle as the twins but the left side was black while the other was pink,they had Jayden's cloak around them, The shirt Aelita had was larger and the white line was now black and the skirt was replaced by Jayden's black pants with a pink ribbons around both legs, the slippers Aelita had were now black.
"It appears the effect of ResurXtion has allowed a new kind of power between us."
They had a flow of energy surrounding them.
"You may call us AJ while we are like this if it makes things easier."
"This is unreal, I've heard of siblings getting close but this is different."
Ulrich said.
"I'm not sure how much longer this form we'll last, let's hurry and grab the data before we split."
The group quickly returned to the interface and AJ went to it.
"I know what we must do."
They quickly ran the program and after a few seconds Jayden's missing pieces began to appear in the network.
"I have located the missing pieces Jeremie."
AJ said calmly.
"Great now all we need is to finish ResurXtion."
Jeremie responded as AJ continued searching through the interface.
"There it is."
They quickly sent the data to Jeremie.
"Wait, is this?"
"The last piece of the puzzle to complete ResurXtion."
"Impressive with this we should be"
Jeremie was interrupted by an alarm going off on his monitor.
"What is this?"
He began typing and he saw something that made his eyes widen.
"You need to go to a tower now!"
"What why?"
Odd questions.
"If you don't get AJ to a tower Jayden will be in grave danger!"
Jeremie quickly reprogramed their vehicles and the Lyoko Warriors quickly went through one of the tunnels.
As they exited a tower in the Mountain Sector AJ started to glow for a second before splitting apart back into Aelita and Jayden.
Both were unconscious as they fell off the Overspeeder.
"Get those two back in the tower now!"
Jeremie shouted.
The Lyoko Warriors dragged the twins through the tower.
"Ok Jeremie I think it's time for an explanation as to why you rushed us out of Sector 5."
Yumi stated.
"I'll explain when those two wake up, for now you three are coming back."
Jeremie quickly engaged Code:Earth returning Ulrich,Odd,and Yumi to Earth.
Aelita and Jayden woke up shortly after.
"Ugg why does my head hurt?"
Aelita said.
"If I knew, I'd tell you."
Jayden responded standing up.
"Why are we here?"
Aelita questioned.
"I'll explain."
Jeremie said, causing the twins to look up.
"It seems since you two are connected it allowed the beta version of ResurXtion combined your virtual forms into one form."
The twins looked at each other.
"But there was a side effect."
Aelita looked concerned.
"What side effect?"
"After scanning AJ I found a slight error. Jayden's missing pieces were temporarily restored to him in the form of AJ but when you two separated it caused a link effect. If Aelita gets devirtualized Jayden will be erased."
Jayden moved his sleeve and saw the cracks on his arm were gone.
"The good news is as long as Aelita remains on Lyoko Jayden's form shouldnt corrupt any further."
"I'm not leaving then."
Aelita stated.
"As long as he's here I'm here."
Jayden didn't even bother to argue at this point he knew she wouldn't listen.
The memories of AJ began to return to the twins.
"How is the data we gathered?"
Jayden asked.
"It'll take me all night but i should be able to complete ResurXtion, i'll have to head to my room though to combine the data here with my own research."
"Alright."
Jayden said before sitting at the center of the tower.
"I'll do what I can but there's no guarantees."
"Good luck Jeremie."
Aelita said.
The group began to leave the factory.
"It's weird leaving the factory without a full group."
Yumi said while they were on the bridge.
"He's her brother. I honestly would be surprised if she didn't stay with him."
Jeremie said.
"Do you think you'll be able to save him?"
Ulrich asked.
Jeremie remained silent.
"This program is going to hunt down Jayden's missing pieces from across the network, take them from XANA and merge into Jayden's virtual form. To be honest I hope this works."
A bit of time passed and the group was hanging out near the vending machines with Jeremie on his laptop working.
"If you don't finish that program we're going to have to make an excuse as to why Aelita is missing."
Yumi said.
"I know as much."
Jeremie got up.
"This is going to be a long night."
He walked back to his room.
Back on Lyoko…
Jayden and Aelita were still in the tower.
Aelita was going over her own data to see if there was anything she could do to help with ResurXtion.
Jayden was practicing with his scythe.
"I dont get why you're practicing, you're not going to be here much longer."
Aelita stated.
"Even if the program works I don't expect XANA to let me out without a fight. I know it wants me dead for how much of a pain I've been for it."
Jayden said as he continued maneuvering his weapon.
"I guess you're right, XANA did try to destroy me before Jeremie materialized me."
"I saw that."
Jayden put his scythe down.
"I just wish I could have done something."
"You've done all you can since then."
Jayden looked up.
"Do you remember the book Mom read to us?"
He asked her.
"Yeah why?"
"She taught me patience when I wanted to read ahead."
He chuckled a bit.
"If i would have remembered that at the time i could have avoided this whole situation."
"You had lost your memory at the time."
"Let's just hope that the ending of this is a happy one."
Jayden put his scythe away and sat on the ground of the tower.
The next morning…
Jeremie quickly told the others to meet him at the factory and when they did Jayden and Aelita appeared on the monitor.
"I have good news i have completed Code ResurXtion."
Jeremie said, causing a few cheers.
Jayden was a bit surprised and Aelita just looked happy.
"But there's a couple conditions."
This made the twins have a questionable look.
"When the program starts Jayden will have to be in a zone created by the program and remain there for a period of time while the program searches the network to recover and merge him with his missing pieces."
"Alright, where is this zone?"
Jayden asked curiously.
"It will be on the tallest mountain on Lyoko."
"Why is it there exactly?"
Ulrich questioned.
"I'm not exactly sure."
Jeremie said while looking over the program.
"There's also one issue, while the program is running I'll be unable to use any of the other programs since ResurXtion is going to take a lot of power to run. So no Return to the Past, no Code Earth nothing."
"If XANA attacks while we're doing this then there could be consequences."
Jayden said.
"It's best to do this now then while XANA is quiet."
Aelita stated.
"She's right, you know."
Yumi stated.
"Alright to the scanners."
Yumi, Ulrich and Odd went to the scanners and were virtualized in front of the tower that Aelita and Jayden were in.
The twins came out of the tower as all the vehicles materialized in front of them all.
"The mountain you're looking for is south from that tower you'll be able to tell which mountain it is."
The Lyoko Warriors began heading towards the mountain.
"I have a bad feeling about this."
Jayden said
"Why? After today youll be free."
"This is too easy, I have a feeling when we get to that mountain we'll be in for a fight."
Aelita looked ahead and then behind them.
"So far the coast is clear."
The group reached the bottom of the mountain and saw that it was higher than the rest of the mountains and the top was covered by clouds.
"Well I've never seen that before."
Jayden stated.
"You've been on Lyoko for how long?"
Odd asked.
"You do know i would've died if i risked anything right?"
Jayden responded.
"Oh right."
"Cmon lets hurry before"
Jayden was interrupted by a laser nearly hitting him
"Oh crud."
A swarm of hornets were flying down the mountain towards the group.
"Scatter!"
Jayden shouted.
The four vehicles split across the mountain with Jayden, Aelita and Yumi on the left and Ulrich and Odd on the right.
The ten Hornets split up so half went after each group while they slowly went up the mountain.
"Why are there monsters I thought XANA was inactive?"
Yumi asked.
"XANA must know about our plan from the data we took."
Aelita stated.
Jayden flew up higher making three hornets fly toward them.
"Ready?"
He asked Aelita
"You know it."
She held two energy fields and as the Overspeeder went right above the hornets she pushed the energy fields directly into the monsters making them explode.
Yumi threw her fan at the last hornet destroying it.
While this was happening Ulrich was deflecting lasers back at the hornets while Odd shot the others.
The last hornet shot poison gas in front of Ulrich which immediately drained his life points.
He threw his sword at the hornet right before he was devirtualized causing the hornet to explode.
Odd met up with the others.
"Ulrich's down."
Jeremie said as the group met up.
"Let's hurry."
Yumi said.
The others agreed and they began continuing up the mountain.
Back at the factory…
Ulrich went to the lab.
"I really hate those things."
He walked up to Jeremie.
"How are the others?"
"They're halfway to the top."
Jeremie responded.
Back on Lyoko…
The Lyoko Warriors began heading into the clouds.
Only to be met with laser fire from several Krabs.
They quickly dodged the lasers.
Odd shot at the Krabs while Yumi threw her fans.
Jayden and Aelita kept a slight distance from the Krabs.
Most of the Krabs aimed at the twins which let Yumi and Odd destroy them.
"They're focused on them?"
Odd questions.
"XANA must really want Jayden out of the picture."
Yumi said right before a laser shot the Overwing.
"Oh no."
She fell down the mountain.
Odd tried to get her before she fell but the last two Krabs shot at Odd which made him dodge.
"Yumi!"
A scythe cut the legs off the last Krabs and returned to Jayden's hand.
The remains fell off the mountain.
Yumi was devirtualized when she fell to the bottom of the mountain.
"That hurt a lot."
She said as she entered the lab.
Jayden, Odd and Aelita made it to the top of the mountain which was surprisingly flat.
"We made it Jeremie."
Aelita said as they got off their respective vehicles.
"Alright get ready, I'm starting the program."
Jeremie began typing quickly.
An X appeared at the center and was layered with two circles.
They were all glowing.
"Alright Jayden, stand on the X and the program will officially start."
Jayden looked at Aelita.
"See you on the other side."
Aelita said.
Jayden smiled.
"Time to go home."
He walked onto the X and the circles around him began to emit code and spin around him.
A status window appeared on Jeremie's screen and an image of Jayden appeared similar to the screen when Jeremie was working on Code Earth for Aelita.
"It's working."
Jeremie said as Jayden felt some codes go inside his virtual form.
Suddenly a laser almost hit Jayden.
A group of three flying mantas were shooting at the group.
Jayden readied his scythe to fight them but it disappeared.
"Jayden while you're being restored your weapons won't work."
Jeremie stated.
"Great."
Jayden just watched the mantas attack.
Odd began shooting at them and Aelita threw her energy fields while remaining defensive.
"I can't get devirtualized."
She said while throwing the energy field destroying a manta.
Suddenly two Krabs from different sides of the mountain climbed up.
The Krabs aimed at Jayden.
"Oh great."
Jayden said as the Krabs fired at him.
Aelita and Odd quickly went in front of the Krabs and blocked their attacks and reflected the attacks back at the Krabs.
They exploded and as they did one of the mantas shot Odd nearly off the mountain only to be met with a Krab aiming point blank at him and shooting him.
Odd was divirtualized.
"This isn't good XANA is throwing everything it has at us."
Jeremie said.
Aelita got on the Overspeeder.
"Then I'm throwing everything I have at it."
Aelita took off and threw an energy field at the Krab destroying it.
The remaining two mantas followed Aelita as she threw energy fields behind her towards the monsters.
They were destroyed almost immediately.
Aelita looked at Jayden as the program continued.
Suddenly the Overspeeder was destroyed and Aelita fell near Jayden.
Aelita looked around and saw several Krabs, Bloks, and Kankrelots climbing to the top of the mountain.
The monsters all aimed at Jayden.
"No!"
Aelita shouted but none of the monsters fired.
"What's going on?"
Jayden was shocked at this.
Suddenly the scyphozoa was behind Jayden.
Aelita looked at the monster as it floated towards her.
"XANA wants me to surrender."
"Aelita dont."
The monsters continued to aim at Jayden.
"It'll buy you time."
She held her arms out ready to surrender herself.
"Aelita don't do it!"
Jeremie shouted but it was too late the scyphozoa had Aelita.
"No."
Jayden said as he glared at the scyphozoa.
He ran out of the program and his scythe appeared in his hand.
With a quick slash of his scythe the scyphozoa lost its tentacles and Aelita was free.
She got up slowly and looked at Jayden.
The monsters around them began shooting at Jayden.
Each laser hit him made his body glitch more and more.
"No!"
Aelita shouted as she watched.
Jayden dropped his scythe as his virtual form was destroyed.
His scythe hit the ground and slowly disappeared.
Aelita looked at the ground and punched it.
She looked up at the monsters around her.
"Just do it."
Aelita said with venom in her voice before being shot by the monsters.
Jeremie took his ear piece off and went down to the scanner room with the others.
Aelita had tears in her eyes as she walked out of the scanner.
"Why did he do this?"
She asked.
"Just why?"
"He saved your life Aelita."
Jeremie said.
"What?"
"If XANA gained control of you this time when the mountain sector was destroyed you and him would have fallen in the digital sea, he saved you."
"Code Earth wouldn't work."
"The chances of Jayden being restored before the Sector being destroyed would've been slim and he knew that."
Aelita burst into tears.
The group hugged her.
"He kept sacrificing himself till the end."
Darkness everywhere.
That's all Jayden was in as he was falling.
'So this is the afterlife, didn't know that dying in a virtual world would bring me here.'
Jayden thought to himself.
Suddenly a flash of light hit Jayden.
The area was pitch white now.
Jayden looked at himself and he was in his real life state from when he was first virtualized.
"Hi Jayden."
Jayden turned around and saw his and Aelita's mother.
Anthea Schaeffer.
"Mom? Wait if you're here then i'm definitely"
"Sadly yes."
Anthea told him.
"I guess I expected as much."
Jayden said sadly.
"I'm here to give you a choice to come with me or go back."
"Can I go back?"
Jayden was surprised.
"The choice is yours."
He looked at Anthea.
"What's that way?"
"The adventure is over, you can finally rest."
"And that way?"
Jayden pointed behind him.
"Continuing adventure filled with hardship."
He went silent.
"Well?"
"Aelita. She needs me."
Anthea smiled.
"I'm glad to see you're still the same as you've always been."
"I'm not going to remember this, am i?"
Jayden asked.
"It'll feel like a dream."
"Goodbye mom."
Jayden vanished.
Back in the computer lab…
The status screen for ResurXtion appeared once again and was moving much faster than before.
The status of Jayden showed his form being uncorrupted.
His code is completely fixed.
In the scanner room one of the scanners turned on.
Aelita walked towards it.
"Aelita what are you?"
Jeremie asked when the scanner opened.
Aelita recognized the person in the scanner immediately.
"Jayden."
He was unconscious in the scanner.
Jayden Schaeffer has returned from Lyoko.
Years earlier…
"The final battle to save the brother was long and hard, the darkness was strong and was able to defeat the sister's friends and threatened to corrupt the sister. Watching this the brother wouldn't allow this and sacrificed himself to send his sister back to the light that protected her as the brother fell to the great darkness. Amazed by the sacrifice, their mother, the goddess of balance, used her powers to bring the brother to the light with his sister. A family united to fight against the great darkness."
Anthea closed the book and looked at her two children.
They were asleep.
She chuckled and put the book away.

AN:And with that i have finally finished writing ResurXtion. I hope you all had as much with it as I did. As for this final chapter I wanted to show off a couple different things that I foreshadowed including a little story and the fusion of Jayden and Aelita. Giving them power with consequences was something I thought would be cool to do. Anyway this is the end of Jayden's story for now. I don't want to end the storyline just yet but it took way too long for me to finish this part of the story so as a result im going to take a break for a bit this we'll give me some time to think of a few new plotlines the title for the next entry as well as any new development i may have for Jayden in the future. I'll still be working on a few other projects in the meantime. Until next time.
