Chapter 7: Storm Null Valley
In Fate Village, the Mayor, who is with the group of villagers, including Bella and her family, are talking to Link, Impa, and Roberta and Link tells the Mayor what's going on.
"I see, so Hyrule was attacked by monsters and the Princess is gone?" The Mayor asked.
"Yes and now I have to find her and make sure she's safe." Link said.
"It's truly hard to believe that you are actually the Hero of Legend. The very one Princess Zelda was searching for. Heh, I suppose it's fitting for a young man with a noble heart. I've always figured you'd want to leave the village, but not this sooner than I expected. You've grown into being a fine young man, Link. Just remember this; no matter how far you are and no matter where you go, this village is always your home and we're your family." The Mayor said.
"I will. Thanks, Mayor. I promise I'll be back once this is over." Link said.
"We should return to the castle." Impa said.
"Right. Bye, everyone! I'll be back!" Link said, as he starts to leave while the Mayor and the villagers watch the trio leave and they wave goodbye.
"Good luck, bud!" A male villager said.
"Safe journey!" A woman villager said.
"Come back safe!" A child villager said.
"Link, come back soon and safe." Bella said.
Link, Impa, and Roberta move through the villager gates, but then Link finds someone hiding behind a tree and it's Frederick.
"Can you...give me a minute?" Link asked.
"Very well." Impa said.
Link walks to Frederick, who comes out from behind the tree.
"You really are leaving, are you?" Frederick asked.
"Sorry, but I have to find the Princess. They need my help." Link said.
"It's okay. You remember when we talked about leaving the village one day and having our own adventure?" Frederick asked.
"How can I forget? It was our dream. I just wish you can come with me, but it's dangerous and after what happened at Faron Woods..." Link stops talking.
"Yeah. Can you promise me something? When you come back, can you tell me all about what happened?" Frederick asked, taking out his hand.
"Of course." Link said, taking Frederick's hand and they shake. "Now, can you promise me something? While I'm gone, I want you to keep an eye on the village. I want you to be brave and strong. They're counting on you to be a man." Link said.
"I promise! Also, about Ralo..." Frederick stops talking.
"What?" Link asked.
"He's gone. He's gone missing." Frederick said.
"What? When?" Link asked.
"He left after you went off to see Princess Zelda again. I dunno what happened." Frederick said.
"Tch, that idiot... Now I have to find him too. Thanks for telling me. Well, time for me to go. Take care, Frederick." Link said, ruffling Frederick's hair.
"Be careful!" Frederick said.
Link starts moving again and Frederick watches him, Impa, and Roberta go through the village gate and leave.
(Information: Return to Hyrule Castle!)
Link and Impa make their way for Hyrule Castle Town, but they find Roberta not moving.
"Is something wrong?" Impa asked.
"It's just...I've never left Kokiri Forest, not even Faron Woods before. This world is bigger than I thought." Roberta said.
"Don't worry, there'll be dangerous things, but as long as you stick with us, you'll be okay." Link said.
"The Great Deku Tree deemed your worthy to accompany us. He sees you as powerful and your magic was what helped us fend off the enemies. I'm certain you'll be a valuable ally." Impa said.
"Thank you. I won't let you down." Roberta said.
"Also, those two guys that attacked the Great Deku Tree, one of them seemed young like you and you called him Seredar, so I take it you know him." Link said.
"Yes, Seredar are I are best friends and...he was never like this. Something horrible must have happened to him." Roberta said.
"It was probably the work of that Gerudo, Kutaka, if I remember her name right." Impa said.
"We better hurry to the castle town and back to the castle. I'll bet Sora, Riku, and others are back too." Link said.
"Agreed. Hopefully, they had more luck than us. I know the Great Deku Tree said we'll see the Princess, but I still worry for her." Impa said.
The trio keep moving and Link thinks about what the Great Deku Tree said.
"The Hero of Legend would meet and fight alongside a different hero; a young hero not from this world, but travels through stars and battles the darkness, would arrive in our world and battle the looming darkness with you. The hero that you, Link, will battle alongside with, is the one, who holds the sword shaped like a key." Link remembers the words of the Great Deku Tree.
"So the hero with a key sword that's supposed to help me is Sora, right? I mean, he and Riku have swords like keys and they showed up outta nowhere to help. Could it be them? And what's the looming darkness? Who are we facing?" Link asked in his mind.
Link, Impa, and Roberta later arrive back at the castle town.
"Wow, so this is what Hyrule's castle town looks like." Roberta said amazed.
"Yeah, it looks very nice, doesn't it?" Link said.
Just then, three people arrive at they're Riku, Mickey, and Sheik.
"Oh, you're back already." Mickey said.
"As you are, I see." Impa said.
Link then sees Sheik.
"Who's this?" Link asked.
"Oh, this is Sheik, another Sheikah, who helped us protect the Gorons." Mickey said.
"Another Sheikah? That's impossible. There is no one in my tribe named Sheik." Impa said.
"Did you find Zelda in Death Mountain?" Link asked.
"Well..." Riku was cut off.
"HEY!" A voice called and Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrive.
"We're back!" Donald said.
"Sora..." Link said looking at Sora.
"Huh? What's up?" Sora asked.
"Nothing." Link said, looking away.
"Um, okay? I like your new clothes, by the way. They look great on you." Sora said, grinning.
"Were you able to find Princess Zelda at Kokiri Forest?" Goofy asked.
"We should discuss this at the castle. There are people here and who knows how anxious they are of news of the Princess." Impa said.
"Okay." Riku said.
Later the group are in the castle halls and talk of their ends.
"So, how'd it go?" Donald asked.
"We'll start. Impa and I went to Faron Woods, where we met a Skull Kid, who told us Kokiri Forest was under attack by the Heartless and the monsters and with Roberta's help, we helped the Kokiri and their homes." Link said.
"The Great Deku Tree was under attacked by two enemies, Seredar and Kutaka. After we defended Kokiri Forest, the Great Deku Tree told us Princess Zelda was not here, but we were told we'll see her again in due time." Impa said.
"The Great Deku Tree also told us that someone not from this world and holding a key would help us against a coming darkness." Roberta said and Link looks at Sora.
"So, Zelda wasn't in Kokiri Forest." Mickey said.
"Well, our chances weren't better. Mickey and I arrived at Kakariko Village, but was under attacked by a new enemy." Riku said.
"It was my old enemy, Zeke Midas Wolf." Mickey said, shocking Donald and Goofy.
"What?!" Donald asked.
"But I thought he was banished." Goofy said.
"He was, but he somehow escaped with darkness and is now a member of this group, the Grimm." Mickey said.
"The Grimm?" Impa asked.
"No way!" Sora said.
"After we helped Kakariko Village, we went to Death Mountain, where we met Sheik, but the Gorons were taken to the mines by another Grimm member named Ridley, but we rescued them and their chief, Daroma." Riku said.
"Unfortunately, Zelda was not seen in Death Mountain." Sheik said.
"Well, we went to Lake Hylia, but it was frozen with ice and snow." Sora said.
"The same was for Zora's Domain and after we helped King Doripon, he said there was a curse at Zora Temple." Goofy said.
"That was where we had to put up with Princess Rutilia and helped lifted the curse, but we also found Magica De Spell." Donald said, shocking Mickey.
"Her too?! Is she also a Grimm member?" Mickey asked.
"Yeah, she is." Sora said.
"After we helped the Zoras, King Doripon said Zelda's not there either." Donald said.
"So, all we got were trouble in different places AND new enemies." Link said.
"And if I didn't know better, considering you ran into different members of this Grimm, it's possible Seredar and Kutaka could be members as well." Impa said, making Roberta sad by hearing it.
"Just who is this Grimm?" Link asked.
"We're still not sure, but they must a group dedicated to causin' trouble 'round here, since they're also usin' Heartless and other monsters." Mickey said.
"We should be cautious around them, but there's still the matter of dealing with Maleficent." Riku said.
"You're right. She's still dangerous and will stop at nothin' to try and bring back the King of Evil." Mickey said.
"But we still have no idea WHERE she's at." Sora said.
"Even if we search all over Hyrule, we won't be able to find her before she succeeds." Donald said.
"General Impa!" A voice called and they see a Hylian soilder arriving.
"What is it?" Impa asked.
"We have scouted the enemy as you requested after the invasion and we have found a ruined castle at the heart of Null Valley." The Hylian soldier informed.
"Null Valley..." Impa said.
"I have heard of it. It's a forbidden and dangerous place. Nothing, but darkness remains in that valley." Sheik said.
"You don't think..." Goofy stops talking.
"It fits the bill, knowing Maleficent and the Heartless." Sora said.
"Do you know where it's located?" Riku asked.
"It's at the north of here, close to Gerudo Desert." The Hylian informed.
"If Maleficent's really there, then we can't miss this opportunity." Sora said.
"Sora's right. We need to do what we came here to do." Riku said.
"Very well, but you will need our help to get through Gerudo Desert. The Gerudo are known to be hostile towards outsiders." Impa said.
"We'll all go together. We need to defend the kingdom from Maleficent and prevent her from completing her scheme." Mickey said and they nod.
"We should prepare ourselves before we go." Roberta said.
"Roberta is right. We can't afford to do anything reckless." Sheik said.
"Once we're ready, we shall leave the castle." Impa said.
Before Sora starts moving, Link gets in front.
"Sora." Link said.
"What's up?" Sora asked.
"Where are you from?" Link asked, crossing his arms.
"Huh?" Sora asked.
"You show up outta nowhere and never bothered telling us where you were from." Link said.
"Oh, uh, we're...from another village!" Sora said, scratching his head.
"Really? 'Cause I met the Great Deku Tree, who told me I would fight alongside someone, who's not from Hyrule, not even from this world and carries around a sword that looks like a key." Link said, making Sora nervous. "You, along with Riku and Mickey, are the only ones I see carrying those weapons, so tell me, Sora, you're from another world, right?" Link asked.
"Aww, phooey..." Donald said.
"Listen, Link, you know why we can't say where we're from." Riku said.
"Because you are trying to perserve the order. I respect that." Sheik said.
"Look, Link..." Sora was cut off.
"Well, looks like we're stuck with each other for a while. We still have to find the Princess and we gotta stop Maleficent. Let's team up until this is over." Link said.
"You got it!" Sora said, giving a thumbs up.
"Now then, are we ready?" Impa asked and they nod. "Then, let's be off." Impa said.
The group leave the castle town and begin moving through the field.
"We shall start by heading north for Gerudo Desert and that will take us to Null Valley to find Maleficent's fortress." Impa said.
"Then let's get moving and no waste time." Riku said.
"But what if we run into any more of those Grimm guys?" Roberta asked.
"Deal with them, of course." Donald said.
"Yep, we can't let anyone stop us." Sora said.
(Information: Head north to get to Gerudo Desert!)
The group begin moving north of Hyrule Field to get to Gerudo Desert and they head farther north and go up a small hill and then they find a side with no grass and they find a bridge and cross it taking them to a different area.
(Hyrule Valley-Wasteland)
The group arrive at a valley wasteland and begin moving through rocky terrain, but then, Earth Core Heartless appear and the Earth Core Heartless move across the ground to attack, only for Impa to conjure her Sheikah symbol, which causes an explosion, making the Heartless come out. Sora then delivers slashes with Kingdom Key followed by casting Thunder while Link delivers three slashes with his sword followed by throwing his razor boomerang. Roberta also conjures three lightning bolts and strike down at the Heartless, but the Earth Core move around the ground to attack with their spikes, only for Goofy to use Goofy Turbo while Sheik takes out the chain and delivers four attacks followed by a big whip attack while Riku delivers four attacks with Way to Dawn followed by Dark Firaga. The Earth Core Heartless keep attacking with their spikes, but Donald casts Water while Mickey casts Triple Pearl and they defeat the Heartless and continue moving through the wasteland and they find a ledge and another side.
"How can we get across?" Goofy asked.
Roberta looks around and finds a tall rock.
"I think I have an idea." Roberta said, as she uses her tome to cast a spell on the rock to break it apart, making it fall between the ledge.
"Wow, a rock bridge!" Donald said.
"The Great Deku Tree was wise to have you join us." Impa said, making Roberta blush modestly.
"C'mon, let's start crossing." Riku said.
(Learned: Earth)
The group cross the rock bridge and they reach the other side and they arrive at a different part of the wasteland.
(Hyrule Valley-Canyon)
The group arrive at a rocky canyon of Hyrule Valley and continue moving only for rocks to get in the way, so Sora, Donald, Mickey, Riku, and Roberta use their Earth magic to break apart the rocks, allowing them to progress through the canyon. More rocks block the way, only for Link to throw bombs, destroying the rocks and keep moving and they later find a sign that says 'Gerudo Desert: Beware of Gerudo'. They keep moving through the canyon, but then Bokoblins appear and attack, only for the group to fight them off and continue and they later come across sandy grounds and go to a different place.

(Gerudo Desert-Desert Grounds)
The group arrive at a desert full of sands, palm trees, and an oasis.
"Gawrsh, this is Gerduo Desert?" Goofy asked.
"Looks a lot like Agrabah." Donald said.
"Be cautious, while the Gerudo no longer worship the King of Evil, they're still hostile towards outsiders, specifically voes." Sheik said.
"Uh, voes...?" Sora asked.
"It's Gerudo for male. It's part of their language. Ya see, the Gerudo are a tribe of only women. However, every one-hundred years, a male Gerudo is born and is set to become the King of the Gerudo and years ago, that male Gerudo was the King of Evil himself, Ganondorf. Years after his defeat, the Gerudo learned of his atrocities and decided to no longer worship him. Any mention or worship of Ganondorf results in banishment. Also, since after Ganondorf's defeat, the relationship between the Hylians and the Gerudo have been a work in progress, but still complicated. Still, the Gerudo will strike down anyone, who comes to their territory." Mickey explained.
"You have learned much of Hyrule's history, Mickey." Impa said.
"I've learned much." Mickey said.
"Very impressive." Sheik said.
"So, where are exactly ARE the Gerudo?" Sora asked, looking around.
"There's a town known as Gerudo Town." Impa said, pointing at a town from afar.
"Great! Let's go." Donald said.
"Not so fast. As I said, the Gerudo are hostile towards outsiders and voes, including you." Sheik said, addressing Sora, Link, Riku, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.
"So, if we go to the town, they'll attack us." Riku said.
"Yes, but there might be way to get through the desert without problems." Sheik said.
"Yes. Gerudo Town is under the leadership of a chief known as Naboora. Once we have a meeting with her, she will understand the situation." Impa said.
"So, you're gonna go into the town by yourself?" Link asked.
"Don't you need help?" Roberta asked.
"Hmm, I suppose you can come as well, Roberta. While the Gerudo will attack outsiders, they don't harm children." Sheik said.
"But Sora's childish." Donald said.
"Hey!" Sora said and Link chuckles. "What's so funny?" Sora asked.
"Sorry, it was your reaction." Link said, smiling.
"Hehe, I dunno if I should be flattered." Sora said, rubbing his nose.
"Time is short. Let's hurry to the town." Sheik said.
(Information: Go to Gerudo Town!)
The group begin moving through the desert to get to Gerudo Town, but then Lizalfos, Poes, Earth Core Heartless, and Bandit Heartless appear and attack, but Sora attacks with Kingdom Key followed by Strike Raid while Link aims his arrows and fires four arrows while Riku delivers four attacks with Way to Dawn followed by Dark Dive. Sheik throws Deku Nuts and then uses Bouncing Fish while Impa delivers five strikes with her naginata followed by conjuring an explosive fire spell while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado. Donald casts Blizzard while Roberta conjures three whirlwinds and sends them to attack while Mickey casts Balloon and they defeat the enemies and keep moving through the desert and later they arrive at the next area.
(Gerudo Desert-Town Gate)
The group reach for the gate, leading to Gerudo Town, which is being guarded by two Gerudo wearing blue bras and baggy pants and are carring spears, but as they see group get close, the two Gerduo guards block the entrance with their spears.
"Halt! What are outsiders, especially voes, doing coming here?" One of the Gerudo guards asked.
"My name is Sheik of the Sheikah and we are here to seek an audience with Chief Naboora." Sheik said.
"For what purpose?" The second Gerudo guard asked, pointing her spear.
"Please, we need help getting ot Null Valley." Roberta said.
"Null Valley? No one, who dares to enter it, has ever returned." The first Gerudo said.
"Please, it's important we have a talk with Chief Naboora." Sheik said and the two Gerudo guards look at each other.
"Very well, only you three may speak to Chief Naboora." The first Gerudo guard said.
"But the voes must stay out!" The second Gerudo guard said, pointing at Sora, Link, Riku, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy.
"Very well." Impa said.
"Stay here until we return." Sheik said as they go into the town.
"Well, now what do we do?" Donald asked.
"Guess we should find somethin' to do 'till they're done." Mickey said.
Sora, Link, Riku, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy move through the desert and after going through the desert they later find what looks like a ruined area.
(Gerudo Desert-Ruined Temple)
The six males arrive at what looks like a ruined temple with many parts of the temple crushed, divided, and buried among the sands and there is also a female statue broken and missing an arm which on the sand and the upper body is in half and sitting on the sand.
"Gawrsh, what happened here?" Goofy asked.
"I guess the temple was really old." Sora said.
"But what's in there?" Link asked, going for the ruined temple.
"Watch out." Donald said.
As Link goes for the ruined temple, purple lightning comes from the sky and goes for Link, who backs off.
"What...?!" Link asked.
"You okay?" Riku asked.
"Yeah." Link said.
"Where'd the lightning come from?" Goofy asked.
"Not from me!" Donald said.
"Why, hello, voes!" A voice said and they look up at the statue to find Kutaka standing on the statue's head.
"You! You were at Kokiri Forest with Seredar!" Link said.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Hero. I must say, I really like your new clothes." Kutaka said and turns to Sora. "Oh, so Magica was right, the Keybearer is here as well." Kutaka said.
"Wait, Magica?" Sora asked.
"So, you're with those Grimm guys!" Donald said, taking out his staff.
"Clever than you look. It seems those two Sheikah and that Kokiri girl went to the twon to meet with that annoying chief, but I can at least have some fun with you voes." Kutaka said, jumping off the statue to confront the six.
"Are you looking for a fight?" Riku asked, taking out Way to Dawn.
"'Cause we're not too easy to take out!" Sora said. taking out Kingdom Key.
"Mmm hmm hmm! I love voes with spunk! Show me a good time!" Kutaka said, taking out two silver scimitars with purple hilts and black and purple lines on the blades.

(Information: Fight off Kutaka!)
Kutaka dashes at the six and delivers four slashes with her scimitars followed by cross slashes and unleashes rings of purple lightning around her to get the six, but Link blocks the attack with his shield and then counters and delivers four slashes with his sword followed by two cross slashes and then delivers a wide slash while Sora delivers his own four slashes with Kingdom Key followed by a somersault slash and then casts Aero. Riku also attacks with Way to Dawn and then casts Dark Firaga, but Kutaka retaliates with spin slashes with her scimitars while covered with purple lightning and moves around the ruined grounds to try and get the six. Mickey casts Stop, freezing the Gerudo in place and then delivers many attacks with Kingdom Key D and then casts Triple Pearl while Donald casts Fire followed by casting Earth while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado, but then time starts again and Kutaka attacks Mickey with her scimitars followed by a flipping kick and unleashes three pillars of purple lightning. Riku counters, using Dark Dive and attacks the Gerudo many times and then delivers the final diving strike while unleashing dark pillars while Sora slide dashes and uses Blitz and attacks Kutaka three times and delivers the final leaping slash attack, sending Kutaka back.
"Not bad, not bad for voes! Let's see if you can handle THIS!" Kutaka said, snapping her fingers, creating a giant ring of purple lightning all over the ruined grounds.
"Huh?" Link asked.
"Now, let's make this interesting!" Kutaka said, covering herself with purple lightning and surge charges at the six.
"She's comin'!" Goofy said.
As Kutaka charges at the six, Riku quickly creates a dark barrier around him and charges at Kutaka and they clash together and during their clash Sora and Link nod at each other and Link aims his arrows at Kutaka and fires them while Sora casts Blizzard on the arrows, creating ice arrows and they hit Kutaka, allowing Riku to strike at the Gerudo, knocking her back. Goofy uses the opportunity to use his shield to send Kutaka in the air while Mickey strikes in the air, allowing Donald to cast Earth, sending Kutaka down. Kutaka uses her speed to move around and slashes with her scimitars and then delivers somersault slashes while unleashing waves of purple lightning to try and get the six, but Link throws his razor boomerang to get Kutaka, allowing Mickey to cast Balloon while Riku delivers four attacks with Way to Dawn followed by an overhead strike while Goofy uses Goofy Discus and throws his shield. Kutaka covers herself with purple lightning again and charges at the six again, only for them to dodge out of the way and Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes to counter against Kutaka while Donald casts Fire, but Kutaka retaliates with slashing with her scimitars followed by cross slashes and then then delivers a powerful spin slash while unleashing purple lightning all over the ruined grounds. Mickey and Riku to work together and they use Dark Holy and spin around while firing Mickey's Pearls and Riku's Dark Balls and counter against Kutaka while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado while Donald casts Water followed by Earth while Link and Sora also work together and both deliver powerful slashes with their respective weapons followed by a combined spin slash with their blades and then unleash a powerful explosive light and after enough attacks, they manage to push Kutaka back, who unleashes more lightning, but Sora and Link dodge and they try to attack at Kutaka, who jumps back.
"Well, that was fun. Still, if you continue to play hero, you'll end up being targets for the Grimm." Kutaka said.
"Gee, thanks for the warning, but we can take care of ourselves!" Sora said.
"Well, glad to hear that. Try to stay alive until their day comes." Kutaka said.
"Huh?" Goofy asked.
"What're you talking about?" Link asked.
"You'll find out soon, that is IF you survive." Kutaka said, vanishing in darkness.
"She's obviously up to something." Donald said.
"Hey, I think she dropped something." Riku said.
Link goes for what's on the ground and it's an item which is a blue and grey grappling hook and picks it up.
(Obtained: Hookshot-This grappling hook can help get across long distances with pillars and can also latch onto enemies from afar or in the air.)
"Is there anything else we should do?" Sora asked.
"Welp, I'm not sure. All we have to do is wait for their meetin' with the Chief." Mickey said.
Meanwhile in Gerudo Town, in what looks like a gold palace and in its throne room, Impa, Sheik, and Roberta are talking to a Gerudo with dark skin, yellow eyes, long red hair tied to a long braid, wearing a purple, black, and blue breastplate with a gold brooch, purple and black long skirt on her left leg, gold heels, gold gauntlets, and an emerald jeweled tiara sitting on the palace throne.
"As you are here to have an audience with me, I shall listen to what you have to say. Now, speak." The Gerudo said.
"Chief Naboora, we mean no disrespect and have no intention of trespassing your desert, but we must use this path to get to Null Fortress." Impa said.
"It's very urgent we get there as soon as possible." Sheik said.
"Ha! Null Valley is forbidden for a reason; those, who enter, do not get out alive! I doubt even you Sheikah have a chance of surviving and it's obvious this little Kokiri cannot escape in one piece. What you seek is a death wish." Naboora said.
"Yes, we are aware of the dangers of Null Valley, but you see...there is an enemy, who resides there and she must be dealt with. She has sent an army of Heartless and monsters to invade Hyrule and there is a good chance she will do it again." Sheik said.
"What care do I have of the fate of the Hylians?" Naboora asked.
"If I'm not mistaken, there's supposed to be some peace between Hylians and the Gerduo and as I've mentioned, Hyrule was invaded for our enemy to seize it and should she succeed, there is a good chance Gerudo Desert will too be taken over." Sheik said.
"Hmph, you sound like she's trying to become that...Demon King!" Naboora said.
"That's what she's trying to do. Hence why we must hurry to Null Valley. All we ask is your guidance." Impa said.
"Please, you would be doing Hyrule and your own people a favor." Sheik said.
"And what do I get in return for this favor?" Naboora asked.
"Hyrule's support and we shall ensure peace and prosperity for your people. You have my word." Sheik said.
"Please, we wish to establish a better relationship between Hylians and Gerudo. We wish peace among different kinds." Impa said.
"Hmm..." Naboora thinks this over. "Very well. I still doubt your chances of surviving are good, but if your enemy is much like HIM...I shall support you." Naboora said, getting off her throne.
"Thank you, Chief Naboora." Roberta said, bowing and so does Sheik and Impa.
"Meet me outside and I shall giude you." Naboora said, leaving the throne room.
"Excellent. Now, let's meet back with the six and we can continue." Sheik said.
"Agreed." Impa said as the three leave the throne room.
Meanwhile at the ruined castle at the ruined throne room, the witch watches the six leave the ruined temple and move through Gerudo Desert.
"So, the fools are trying to find me and my castle." The witch said.
"I'll find 'em and teach 'em a lesson or two." Pete said.
"No, I have a better plan; let the fools come to us." The witch said.
"Say what?" Pete asked.
"The heroes...one of them has one of the pieces we need." The black and orange ethereal spirit said.
"Yes, the boy in green." The witch, looking closely at Link. "And since Sora, the King, and the fools are coming as well, I'll take great pleasure in having my revenge. Prepare the Heartless and the minions and ensure the heroes' welcome." The witch said.
"Hehehehe! Yes, ma'am! I'll give 'em a great welcome party they'll never forget! I'll bring the PUNCH!" Pete said.
"Do NOT fail this! You will suffer our wrath if you do!" The black and orange ethereal spirit said.
"Y-Yessir!" Pete said.
"Maleficent! The time is coming soon! I shall be reborn to this world and then EVERY world will bend to our will!" The black and orange spirit said.
"Indeed. I look forward to our time, Ganondorf." Maleficent said, smirking.
Meanwhile, the six continue through the desert and make their way for the Gerduo Town's gate.
"You think they're done yet?" Riku asked.
"I hope. If it wasn't for this stupid law of us not going into town, we'd know if they are." Link said.
Just then, Sheik, Impa, and Roberta leave Gerudo Town and with them is Chief Naboora.
"So, let me get this straight, you are traveling with these voes to Null Valley?" Naboora asked.
"Y-Yes, ma'am." Sora said.
"You will speak when I permit you to, boy!" Naboora said, making Sora flinch.
"She's scary..." Link whispered.
"Mumble under your breath again, Hylian voe and it will be your last!" Naboora said, also making Link flinch.
"Chief, please..." Roberta said.
"Yes, yes. So, you wish to go to Null Valley? I shall guide you, but no more. Listen closely because I shall say this only once: To get to Null Valley, you must first traverse through the Sand of Lost Souls, which is to the north of here. Be forewarned, as the name implies, those, who enter it, will be lost by its massive sandstorm, which can result in death. However, there is a way, all you need do is follow the spirits. They shall guide you through the massive storm and through the end that will lead you Null Valley. Do you understand what I said?" Naboora asked.
"Yes." Sheik answered.
"Can ya take us to where the Sand of Lost Souls?" Mickey asked.
"I shall, but only to its entrance. The rest is on our own." Naboora said, moving.
(Information: Follow Naboora to the Sand of Lost Souls!)
The group follow Naboora through the desert, but then many Bandit Heartless appear through the sand and attack with their scimitars, but Sora attacks with his Keyblade while Link attacks with his sword while Riku attacks with his Keyblade. Mickey attacks with his Keyblade while Donald casts Water while Goofy bashes with his shield while Impa attacks with her naginata. Sheik throws needles while Roberta uses lightning magic and shoots three lightning bolts and they defeat the Heartless and continue following Naboora and they later reach the north of the desert and keep going while fighting off more Bandit Heartless and later they arrive at a different desert with two poles.
"Here it is. The way to the Sand of Lost Souls; one way in, no way out, if unfortante." Naboora said.
"We can handle it." Sora said, grinning.
"Such a cocky boy, aren't you? We'll see how long you'll last. That is all I can do and you had best ensure to fulfill your end of the bargain if you survive." Naboora said.
"We will, Chief." Sheik said.
"Farewell." Naboora said, leaving.
"What did you promise her?" Riku asked.
"That we would provide support for the Gerudo." Impa said.
"That should help create a better relationship between the Hylians and the Gerudo." Mickey said.
"Well, here we go." Link said.
"Are you well prepared?" Sheik asked.
"I'm more than ready!" Sora said.
"Then let's not delay." Impa said as they go into the desert.
(Gerudo Desert-Sand of Lost Souls)
The group arrive at the Sand of Lost Souls and there is a massive sandstorm that's hard to see anything.
"We need to find those spirits, so they can guide us." Donald said.
"But WHERE are they?" Sora asked.
The group start moving through the Sand of Lost Souls and despite the sandstorm, they move through the desert to find the spirits and as they keep moving through the sandstorm, they find what looks like a light blue ethereal being floating before them.
"Follow..." The spirit said floating across.
The group follow the spirit through the sandstorm and try to keep up, but then Earthcore Heartless traverse through the sand to try and get the group, who ignore the Heartless and keep following the spirit, who then disappears. They find another spirit, who guides the group through the sandstorm and the group follow the other spirit while ignoring the Heartless and the spirit continues to guide and later disappears. They find another spirit guiding them through the sandstorm and later the spirit guides the group to the end of the sandstorm and disppears and the group are now out of the sandstorm.
"That wasn't so bad." Goofy said.
"At least we're out." Link said.
"Look!" Donald said, pointing at a broken bridge leading to a valley with dead trees and green and black skies while purple lightning crackles.
"This is it. It will lead to Null Valley." Impa said.
Link uses his hookshot and aims at a pillar and latches the pillar, taking him across and finds a giant dead tree and uses his sword to break down the dead tree, making it into a bridge, allowing the rest to cross.
"Welp, here we go. Once we get to Null Valley, we'll be able to find Maleficent. We best prepare well." Mickey said.
The group head for the valley.
(Field Theme: Null Valley)
(Null Valley-Forest of Thorns)
The group arrive at Null Valley and are now in a forest of thorns all over the valley and they start moving through the valley, but then many Wolfos appear, as well as Fluttering Heartless and they attack. Sora attacks with his Keyblade followed by casting Thunder while Link slashes with his sword followed by firing arrows while Riku attacks with his Keyblade followed by Shadowbreaker while Sheik takes out the chain and delivers lashing attacks. Donald casts Blizzard followed by casting Earth while Roberta uses fire magic and unleashes waves of flames while Impa conjures ethereal naginatas and sends them to attack while Goofy uses Goofy Discus while Mickey casts Spark and they defeat the enemies. They continue moving through the forest of thorns and they find what looks like a vine, so Sora and Link grind along the vine while dodging the thorns and they arrive at the next part of the forest of thorns, but walls of thorns block the way.
"A blockade." Roberta said.
"I got a remedy for that." Donald said, casting Fire to burn the thorns.
The group keep going through the forest of thorns while fighting off many Heartless and Wolfos in their way and find another thorn blockade, so Sora, Donald, Impa, Roberta, and Mickey use Fire magic to destroy the thorn blockade. They find another vine, so Sora and Link grind along the vine while dodging more thorns while still grinding and later they reach the other side of the forest of thorns and as they keep moving they arrive at a different part of Null Valley.
(Null Valley-River of Poison)
The group arrive at a a river with purple water flowing across the valley and they see Octoroks rising from the poison water and fires rocks, but Sora casts Blizzard, freezing the Otcorok and the group use the block of ice to get across the poison river, reaching the other side of the valley's river. They find another Octorok, Sora freezes the next Octorok, get across the river again, and go for the other side of the land. Just then, Water Core Heartless appear and attack, but Link aims his arrows as Donald and Roberta use their ice magic on the arrows and the ice arrows freeze the Heartless, allowing Sora, Mickey, and Impa use their fire magic to defeat the Heartless and continue moving while fighting off Bokoblins, Moblins, and Lizalfos in their way and keep moving and they later go to the next area of Null Valley.
(Null Valley-Wasteland of Death)
The group arrive at a wasteland full of dead trees and bones lying around and as they keep moving, Stalfos and Stalmasters appear and attack the group with their swords, but Sora triple attacks with Kingdom Key followed by casting Thunder while Link throws his razor boomerang and then slashes with his sword followed by a spin slash while Riku casts Dark Firaga. The Stalmasters double attack with their swords while the Stalfos leap attack with their swords, but Goofy blocks with his shield and uses Goofy Turbo while Impa delivers two swings with her naginata followed by a windmill style spin attack while Mickey casts Holy and unleashes a bright light. The Stalfos deliver big swings with their swords while the Stalmasters unleash slash streaks to attack, but Donald casts Aero followed by casting Thunder while Roberta unleashes three rocks while Sheik throws Deku Grenades and they defeat the enemies and keep moving the wasteland, but as they keep moving, many ReDeads and Gibdos appear from the ground.
"Uh oh... They're comin' from the ground!" Goofy said.
"Be cautious! ReDeads and Gibdos are known for using their scream to paralyze their victims!" Sheik said.
"We'll keep that mind." Riku said.
The ReDeads conjure a purple magic ball to attack while the Gibdos unleash a scream attack to try and paralyze the group, but Mickey casts Balloon on both the ReDeads and the Gibdos while Impa conjures ethereal kunais over the enemies and sends them raining down on them while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado. The Gibdos try to scream and so do the ReDeads, but Roberta unleashes ice spikes from under the enemies while Donald casts Earth followed by casting Fire while Link delivers four slashes with his sword followed by a shield bash. The ReDeads attack with their calymores while the Gibdos unleash poison gas, but Sheik throws many needles while Riku delivers three attacks with Way to Dawn followed by a somersault slash while Sora delivers four attacks with Kingdom Key followed by Sonic Blade and dashes all over and delivers the final dash attack and they defeat the enemies. They keep going through the wasteland and as they're still moving while fighting off more ReDeads and Gibdos, as well as Poes, they see something up ahead.
"Look, a castle!" Roberta said, pointing at a ruined castle.
"Maleficent has to be there." Mickey said.
"Let's hurry and pay her a nice overdue visit." Sora said.
The group keep moving through the wasteland to get the ruined castle and they later find a broken bridge, so Link uses his Hookshot to grapple across to reach the other side and finds a dead tree and uses his sword to slash it down to make a bridge, allowing the rest to cross and they head for the next area of Null Valley.
(Null Valley-Castle Gates)
The group arrive at what looks like a crooked and ruined gates, leading to the ruined castle.
"This must be it. Maleficent's new castle." Sora said.
"I'm not surprised she chose this as her new base." Donald said.
"Well, look who decided to show up! You mugs're late!" A voice said and they find Pete on the other side of the gate.
"That's because we had to deal with your pets!" Roberta said.
"Where's Princess Zelda?!" Link demanded.
"Tell us at once!" Impa commanded.
"Lookie here, we don't have your princess. I woulda had her, but she up and disappeared!" Pete said.
"You don't even appear competent to kidnap her anyway." Sheik said.
"Why you...! Well, ya came all this way and Maleficent's dying to see you nimrods again! She's gettin' this reunion all ready." Pete said.
"Wow, so Maleficent knows we're here? How nice of her!" Sora said.
"What part of the castle is she at?" Goofy asked.
"Why should I tell you squirts?! Why don't youse just get in the castle and find her yourself, but here's a nice warnin', there're Heartless and monsters all set to see ya! They're pretty hungry for hearts, ya know!" Pete said, going for the castle.
"We gotta hurry and find Maleficent. It's only a matter of time before..." Mickey said.
"Yeah, we know." Riku said.
Sora, Riku, and Mickey use their Keyblades to unlock the gate, opening it.
"Here we come, Maleficent! You're plans are gonna end!" Sora said.
(Information: Hurry into the castle!)
The group go for the castle and they go for the castle doors and open it, taking them inside.
(Field Theme: Null Castle)
(Null Castle-Foyer)
The group are now inside the castle's foyer and it's all ruined with many walls broken down and there are two stairways and at the center of the foyer lies a giant door and they go for the giant door but then many Soldier Heartless, Defender Heartless, Wizard Heartless, Darknuts, Stalmasters, and Moblins appear and surround the group.
"Well, here's the welcome wagon!" Riku said.
"You know what to do!" Sheik said.
(Battle Theme: Storm Null Castle)
(Information: Defeat the enemies!)
The Soldier Heartless deliver spin kick attacks while the Defender Heartless use their shields to unleash fireballs while the Wizard Heartless conjure ice magic attacks, but Sora attacks the Wizards with Kingdom Key followed by a cross slash and then uses Blitz while Link shoots arrows at the Soldiers. Mickey delivers three attacks the Defenders with Kingdom Key D followed by casting Holy while Impa attacks the Defenders and the Wizards with her naginata followed by conjuring ethereal kunais, but the Darknuts bash with their shields and then attack with their swords while the Stalmasters unleash slash streaks while the Moblins swing with their spears and then deliver belly flop attacks. Riku attacks the Darknuts with Way To Dawn followed by Dark Dive while Sheik attacks the Stalmasters with kunais followed by a handtsand spin kick and then vanishes and attacks with the chain while Donald casts Thunder on the Moblins while Roberta creates three whirlwinds and sends them to attack the Darknuts while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado on the Moblins. The Soldiers deliver leap attacks while the Defenders use their shields to bite while the Wizards conjure lightning while the Darknuts charge attack with their swords while the Stalmasters attack with their swords while the Moblins throw their spears. Sora uses Sonic Blade while Link slashes with his sword while Riku casts Dark Firaga while Sheik throws needles while Mickey casts Pearl while Donald casts Blizzard while Goofy uses Goofy Discus while Impa conjures waves of water while Roberta unleashes rocks and they defeat the enemies.
The group hurry for the giant door.
"This should lead us to Maleficent. We gotta hurry and stop her." Mickey said.
"Is everyone prepared?" Sheik asked and they nod. "Then, let's begin." Sheik said, as they go through the door.
(Null Castle-Dark Corridors)
The group arrive at the castle's corridor with many destroyed walls blocking paths and as they traverse through the corridor, it's like a giant maze and many Darkball Heartless as well as Darknuts appear and attack the group, who fight them off. They keep moving through the corridors while going around more ruined parts of the castle and fighting off more enemies and after going through the corridor's maze, the group manage to reach the end of the corridor. They then arrive at a straight hallway and come across another giant door and Sora and Link nod at each other and open the giant door taking them to a different room.
(Null Castle-Ruined Throne Room)
The group arrive at Null Castle's ruined throne room and they find Maleficent, who is sitting on the throne and Pete is standing at her side.
"Maleficent!" Sora, taking out his Keyblade while Riku and Mickey do the same while Donald takes out his staff while Goofy takes out his shield and Link takes out his sword and shield while Sheik takes out kunais while Impa takes out her naginata while Roberta takes out her tome.
"So, you're the one responsible for the invasion of Hyrule! If it wasn't for you, Princess Zelda wouldn't have been missing!" Link yelled, pointing his sword.
"Ah, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, and King Mickey... How lovely to see you all again. Let me guess, Yen Sid told you I was here, making a new plot." Maleficent said.
"That's right! You're tryin' to revive the King of Evil, aren't ya?" Mickey asked.
"Very clever, yes. As I've learned of the Triforce and how the Evil King attempted to make the kingdom his, I have decided to make a...sharded goal." Maleficent said.
"Shared?" Donald asked.
"Imagine with me, what if the pieces of the Triforce were brought together, your wish would be brought to reality. What if my wish was to not only to take Hyrule, but when bringing the Triforce beyond this world..." Maleficent stops talking.
"You're trying to bring the Triforce to Kingdom Hearts!" Riku said, shocking Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
"So that's your real plan!" Mickey said.
"Indeed, and I, no... WE have the power to make it happen." Maleficent said, showing her left hand, revealing the gold top triangle.
"That's..." Sora stops talking.
"The Triforce of Power!" Mickey said.
"It matters not what your plan is, witch! Your evil ends here!" Impa yelled.
"Oh, but of course. Where are my manners? You have brought me a new so-called hero." Maleficent said, looking at Link and just then, the Triforce of Power starts glowing and so does Link's left hand.
"What the...?" Link asked, looking at his hand, showing the same right gold triangle. "This mark, from last time..." Link said and looks at Sheik, whose hand is glowing with a left gold triangle.
"Yes... the Triforce of Power is resonating...!" Maleficent said.
"That boy and that Sheikah bear Courage and Wisdom!" The black and orange spirit said.
"Wait, I thought ya said the Princess has Wisdom!" Pete said.
"Wait, Link and Sheik...?" Sora asked.
"They have Courage and Wisdom?" Donald asked.
"Just like that light we saw?" Goofy asked.
"Excellent, and now you will deliver Courage and Wisdom to ME!" Maleficent said.
"Forget it!" Link yelled.
"We would die than surrender them! Princess Zelda entrusted me with Wisdom and I will NOT give it to you!" Sheik said.
"Fools!" Maleficent said, casting a spell on Link and Sheik as green and black flames surround them.
"Link! Sheik!" Sora said.
"No!" Riku said.
"Hahaha! Now, they belong to me!" Maleficent said, as Courage leaves Link's hand and Wisdom leaves Sheik's hand and the two triangle pieces go to Maleficent, who takes out Power. "Hahaha! At last! All THREE together!" Maleficent said as Courage, Wisdom, and Power connect each other and are now one Triforce.
"Finally! All pieces together!" The black and orange spirit said.
"No! The Triforce are one!" Mickey said.
"And now..." Maleficent said, using her balck magic on the black and orange spirit, creating massive darkness and as the darkness dissipates, someone emerges and it's a man with tan skin, orange hair and goatee, wearing black and grey armor with a black long cape, and a purple jewel on his forehead.
"Hahahaha! At last, I have RETURNED!" The man said.
"Oh, no! The King of Evil...!" Sheik said.
"Ganondorf!" Mickey said.
"Finally! Our dream is about to be realize, my dear." Ganondorf said and turns to the group. "You fools, however, are not worthy to witness our glorious moment!" Ganondorf said.
"You have serve your purpose, now BEGONE!" Maleficent said.
"Actually, you all have served your purpose!" A voice said.
"Huh?" Donald asked.
"Now what?" Pete asked.
(Theme: Shaded Truths)
Just then, many Heartless and monsters storm Null Castle and surround the group as well as Ganondorf and Maleficent.
"What?" Impa asked.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Ganondorf asked.
"Many thanks for completing the Triforce for me! Now, we'll take things from here." The voice said as dark mist appears, revealing the same wolf figure and with him are Magica, Zeke Midas Wolf, Kutaka, Seredar, and Ridley.
"Magica!" Donald yelled.
"Zeke!" Goofy said.
"Seredar...!" Roberta said.
"You! You're...Merlock!" Mickey yelled.
"Merlock?!" Donald and Goofy asked shocked.
"Merlock?! He's back?!" Pete asked shocked.
"Hehehe...! Why, King Mickey, how long has it been since you banished me?" Merlock asked.
"How are you here?! Don't tell me that you, Magica, and Zeke used darkness to escape!" Mickey said.
"Hahahaha! Indeed I did and all the while, I have been forming my group, as Hyrule, no... ALL worlds shall fear and belong to the Grimm!" Merlock said.
"So YOU'RE the one calling the shots in this Grimm!" Sora said.
"Whatever you, Maleficent, and Ganondorf have planned, we'll stop you!" Link yelled.
"Hahahaha! I think not because the Triforce is now MINE!" Merlock said, as he goes for the Triforce.
"Worthless fool! The Triforce is OURS!" Maleficent said, as she and Ganondorf go for the Triforce.
"I think not! Seredar!" Magica said, as she and Sereder use their magic to bind the two.
"You've just been brought back, Ganondorf, therefore, you're weak at the moment." Seredar said.
"Guys, we have to stop him!" Mickey said, but Merlock creates a magic barrier to block off the heroes.
"Not this time, you round-eared tyrant! This is our moment of triumph!" Merlock said, as he takes the completed Triforce. "Yes! YES! At last! This is now the true moment of the Grimm!" Merlock said.
"Finally!" Magica said.
"Now all worlds are ours!" Zeke said.
"No one can stop us now." Seredar said.
"Such glorious victory!" Kutaka said.
"It's fitting for us!" Ridley said.
"No!" Mickey cried.
"Now what can we do? Our plans're down the toilet!" Pete said.
"I will strike him where he stands!" Maleficent said, but Ganondorf creates a dark portal. "What are you doing?" Maleficent asked.
"We cannot stop him now. I have just been revived and I am not at my full strength yet. Our only option is to regroup and think of how to stop him." Ganondorf said, as he, Maleficent, and Pete go for the dark portal.
"This is bad! Merlock has the completed Triforce and he's gonna take over everything!" Donald said.
"What are we going to do?" Roberta asked.
"I dunno how, but we're gonna stop you, Merlock!" Sora said.
"You won't win this!" Link yelled.
"Such bravado for fools. I have already won! Hyrule and all worlds will be ours for the taking! Now, for my first act as the new ruler of Hyrule, what Mickey did to me, I shall return to him and his friends! I banish you away!" Merlock said, using his magic to create a giant black portal over the group and sends the group to the portal.
"Everyone brace yourselves...!" Sheik said, as they go to the black portal before it disappears.
"Hehehehehe! Rejoice in this victory, my comrades! The Triforce is now ours and now we shall make Hyrule ours." Merlock said.
"Then, the whole worlds!" Magica said, laughing evilly
"We should begin making some of the worlds fear the Grimm and establish our dominance." Seredar said.
"Yes. Go to the other worlds and have as much fun creating chaos as you need to. Our work has only begun!" Merlock said.

Well, after six chapters, we're FINALLY finished with Hyrule, at least for now. Now, it's a matters of the actual adventure to begin! I hope you're looking forward to what comes up next.
