Chapter 8: Start of a New Adventure
In what looks like a town, which is full of small buildings and lightposts, a dark portal appears and coming out of the dark portal are Maleficent, Ganondorf, and Pete.
"Great! Just great! Our new plan of takin' what's finally ours, only to be taken by that nimrod Merlock!" Pete said.
"Patience, my dear. That wretched worm may have the complete Triforce, but that does not mean we're finished yet." Maleficent said.
"Yes. Let the foolish Grimm relish in their pathetic victory. Our work is just beginning." Ganondorf said.
"But what're we gonna do about 'em? Look, I know Merlock and he's a really a powerful wizard. Why, he might just be as powerful as you two put together." Pete said.
"I find your lack of faith completely irritating, fool! It's clear that you have no idea of what we're capable of. I may not still be at full strength yet, but our time is coming. Merlock is foolish not see what we're up to." Ganondorf said.
"Our best chance to deal with Merlock and is to find those blasted stones that foolish Goddess of Light created. We were going to destroy them, prior to getting the Triforce, but now it appears we'll need them to fight back against that blasted Grimm and take back the Triforce. That is where you come in, Pete. Go to different worlds and find those Sacred Stones. Should you find any more allies as well to do so, so be it." Maleficent ordered.
"You can count on me! Those stones're as good as ours!" Pete said.
"I shall be doing the same thing as well." Maleficent said.
"You shouldn't task yourself with such a thing, Maleficent. It's beneath you." Ganondorf said.
"Now, don't be concerned. I am more than capable. And once we're in different worlds, we can establish your own dominion and prove ourselves superior to that foolish Grimm. You just focus on regaining your power." Maleficent said.
"But what if we run into Boatboy King, his nimrods, those Keyblade brats, and those pointed earred losers? They're bound to be in the same worlds we're goin' to." Pete said.
"Indeed. Should we ever run into them again, well, you know what must be done." Maleficent said.
"Hehehe! That sounds like a plan! Well, I'm off! We'll be makin' our comeback!" Pete said, leaving through the dark portal.
"I shall be going as well." Maleficent said.
"Do be watchful. Once our time comes, an evil king needs an evil queen at his side." Ganondorf said.
"Do not fear. I am not called the Mistress of all Evil for nothing, dear." Maleficent said, disappearing in green and black flames.
Meanwhile in what looks like a plane of darkness, Link's body is floating down, unconscious, but then, a light shines on him, making him open his eyes.
"What...?" Link asked, looking at the light, revealing to be a figure, who is Zelda. "Princess...?" Link asked.
"Do not give up hope, Link. You must fulfill your role as the Hero." Zelda said.
"But how? Hyrule's lost. We couldn't stop them. We failed..." Link said.
"No. Do not give into despair. It will only strengthen the darkness. You must act as the light of hope that shines. You and Sora are the only hopes." Zelda said, disappearing.
"Princess!" Link called, but Zelda is gone and darkness covers him. "No...! Not again...!" Link said, as everything turns black.
"...ink." A voice said.
"Link!" Another voice called.
"Link, wake up!" Another voice said.
Link opens his eyes and sees Sora, Donald, and Goofy looking over him.
"Good. You're okay." Sora said, grinning.
"Sora? Donald? Goofy?" Link asked, getting up.
"You were outcold for a good minute." Goofy said.
"So was Sora and we had to wake him up first." Donald said.
Link looks around to find themselves in what looks like a grassy plain with a dirt road and trees around the land.
"We're not in Hyrule anymore, are we?" Link asked.
"No. You remember Merlock using a portal to send us all away?" Sora asked.
"I dunno where we are now. What's more is that after we were sent away, we can't seem to find Riku, King Mickey, Sheik, Impa, and Roberta anywhere." Goofy said.
"They were probably sent far from us." Donald suggested.
"Ugh, I can't believe this..." Link said.
"Link?" Sora asked.
"The Great Deku Tree told me I'm supposed to be the Hero to protect Hyrule, but it got invaded, Princess Zelda is still missing, AND we're not even in Hyrule anymore! Things couldn't just get any worse!" Link said.
"Link, it's not the end. We can find a way to put a stop to Merlock and his Grimm." Sora said.
"How?! We're in the middle of nowhere and we don't know how to get back to Hyrule! Just face it, Sora, it's over." Link said.
"Link... It's not over! We can't let one failure stop us from giving up. Look, we're still here, together and as long as we stay together, everything'll work out okay." Sora said.
"How do you know? How can you stay this cheerful after all this?" Link asked.
"Because I don't give up hope. If you just try and stay positive, then maybe things won't turn out bad. Look, Link, during my journey, there have been some ups and downs, but Donald, Goofy, and I have always managed to stay on top because we work together." Sora said and Donald and Goofy nod. "Also, when my world was taken by the darkness and I was separated from Riku and Kairi, and ended up in a different world, I wasn't sure if I was ever gonna see them again, but Donald and Goofy made promise something." Sora said.
"What promise?" Link asked.
"No frownin' and no sad faces." Donald said.
"Yeah, ya gotta be funny, like us!" Goofy said, getting close to Donald, who shoves the knight away.
"Yep, you just try and think positive and happy, that's all." Sora said.
"Happy?" Link asked and then makes a wide grin at the trio, but nobody reacts, making Link stop grinning. "See? Nothing happened." Link said, but Sora, Donald, and Goofy laugh. "Hey, what's so funny?!" Link asked.
"That was a funny face!" Goofy said, laughing.
"Much funnier like Sora's!" Donald said.
"So, feel better?" Sora asked.
"I...guess that helped a little. Thanks, Sora. Guess you're good at cheering someone up." Link said.
"Hehe, that's what I do." Sora said, grinning.
"When you're around Sora, it's almost hard not to smile." Goofy said.
"And Link, I promise, we'll find way to get back to Hyrule, find Princess Zelda, and stop Merlock and the Grimm, but we gotta work together. Whaddya say?" Sora asked.
"Okay, I'm with you guys." Link said.
"Good!" Donald said, taking his hand out.
"As long as we're together, we'll be fine." Goofy said, putting his hand on Donald's.
"Yeah!" Sora said, putting his hand on Goofy's. "Link?" Sora said.
"Count me in." Link said, putting his hand on Sora's.
"All for one and one for all!" Goofy said.
"So, what should we do first?" Donald asked.
"Well, guess we might as well find out where we are." Sora said.
"That's a good place to start as any." Link said.
(Field Theme: Plains)
(Plain-Meadow Road)
(Information: Explore to find out where you are!)
The four start moving through the plain's meadow road.
"I'm worried what happened to Sheik, Impa, Riku, Mickey, and Roberta." Link said.
"Me too. Hope they're okay." Sora said.
The four keep going through the plain's road and just then, Goofy sees something from afar.
"Hey, look! I think I see a town up ahead!" Goofy said, pointing at what looks like a town.
"Hey, it does look like a town!" Sora said.
"But look!" Donald said, pointing at what looks like smoke in the sky.
"Smoke?" Link asked.
"Uh-oh, if there's smoke..." Goofy stops talking.
"There could be fire!" Sora said.
"We better get over there!" Link said and the trio nod.
(Information: Hurry for the town!)
The four continue through the plain's road to reach the town and after going through the long road, they finally arrive at the entrance to the town.
"Here we are. Let's go and see what's going on." Sora said, as they go for the town.
(Battle Theme: Town on Fire)
(Town-Main Plaza)
The four arrive at the town to see many small buildings on fire while other buildings are destroyed and they see people running in terror as Soldier Heartless, Large Body Heartless, Air Soldier Heartless, Bokoblins, Moblins, and Wolfos around.
"Heartless and monsters!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade.
"So, they're here too!" Link said, also taking his sword and shield.
"We gotta stop 'em!" Donald said, as they confront the enemies.
(Information: Defeat the enemies!)
The Soldier Heartless deliver spinning kick attacks at the four while the Bokoblins attack with their clubs, but Link blocks the attacks with his shield and then triple slashes at the enemies with his sword followed by a spinning slash and then fires three arrows from his bow while Sora triple slashes with his Keyblade and then casts Thunder. The Large Body Heartless slam on the ground and create shockwaves while the Moblins swing their spears and then belly flop on the ground, but Donald casts Blizzard and then casts Aero while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado. The Air Soldiers deliver flying kicks while the Wolfos move around and attack with their claws, but Link throws his razor boomerang at the Air Soldiers while Sora vertical slashes with his Keyblade and then casts Earth, but the Soldiers deliver leaping attacks while the Bokoblins double swing their clubs and then deliver vertical strikes. Donald casts Thunder while Goofy uses Goofy Bash and throws his shield, but the Wolfos spin attack with their claws while the Large Body Haertless double punch, but Link uses his hookshot to get close and then diagonal slashes with his sword while Sora uses Blitz and they defeat the enemies.
The four see more fires around the town and see more Heartless and monsters.
"At this rate, they'll destroy the whole town." Sora said.
"We can't let that happen! Let's see if we can find more of them and get rid of them!" Link said and Sora nods.
"C'mon, let's get goin'!" Goofy said.
(Information: Explore the town to find more Heartless and monsters!)
The four continue moving through the town's plaza to find more enemies, but they see more buildings going down so the four hurry through the plaza and they go for the next part of the town, but unknowing to them, someone watches them.
"You were right! They DID end up in this world!" The figure said and it's a cheery boy voice.
"As expected. Merlock has sent them to our world and are dealing with the Heartless porblem. I want you to follow them and keep a close watch while at the same time, protecting the town from the Heartless." Another voice said and it's a female voice.
"You got it!" The boy figure said.
(Town-Shopping District)
The four arrive at the town's shopping district, but see more buildings on fire by Flame Cores, Lizalfos, Red Nocturnes, and Aeroflos while more people are running in terror.
"That's our cue!" Sora said.
"Let's do it!" Link said.
The four confront the enemies, but then someone arrives and it's a young man wih tanned skin, black hair, wearing a black outfit, and carrying a giant sword.
"Get in line, kids! Leave it to a REAL swordsman!" The young man said.
"Hey! We can fight too!" Donald yelled.
"I got an idea, let's work together." Sora said.
"Besides, we know what we're doing." Link said.
"Fine. Just stay outta the way, okay?" The young man said.
(Information: Team up with the stranger and defeat the enemies!)
The Flame Core Heartless unleash fireballs to attack the five while the Aeroflos fly around and breath fire, but Link uses his hookshot to latch onto the Aeroflos and aerial slashes with his sword followed by an aerial spinning slash while Sora casts Water at the Flame Cores, dealing better damage. The Lizalfos attack with their swords and then shoot fireballs while the Red Nocturne Heartless conjure fireballs, only for Goofy to block with his shield and then uses Goofy Charge while Donald casts Aero followed by casting Blizzard while the young man delivers heavy swings with his sword followed by a powerful spin attack. The Red Nocturnes deliver fire bursts while the Flame Cores cover themselves with fire and move around and unleash fiery explosions, but Link aims his arrows while Donald casts Water magic on the arrows and Link fires water arrows at the enemies. The Aeroflos fly and attack with their swords while the Lizalfos breathe fire, but the young man slams his sword, unleashing shockwaves while Goofy uses Goofy Turbo while Sora horizontal slashes with his Keyblade and then casts Blizzard and they defeat the enemies.
"Thanks for the help." Sora said.
"We had it covered, but thanks." Link said.
"Well, actually, I was gonna deal with those creeps then you guys showed up outta nowhere. So, I guess I'll thank you. Who're you guys anyway?" The young man asked.
"Sora." Sora introduced.
"Donald." Donald introduced.
"Goofy." Goofy introduced.
"Link. What about you?" Link asked.
"Name's Magnus. Gotta admit, you guys aren't bad wiith combat for kids and weirdos." Magnus said.
"Um, thanks, I guess." Sora said.
"When did the Heartless start attacking this town?" Donald asked.
"It happened only recently. Ever since some kid showed up, these things have been goin' around and causing trouble. At first, I thought they were Underworld monsters, but they seem clearly different. Ya think Miss Goddess and her angel errand boy would've handled this." Magnus said.
"Huh?" Link asked.
"Never mind. Look, these things are still around and you guys seem to know what you're doing." Magnus said.
"Yeah, 'cause we're heroes." Donald said.
"And we're Heartless experts." Goofy said.
"Right, right. So, you gonna help me or what?" Magnus asked.
"Yeah, of course!" Sora said.
"Let's keep going and find more of these creeps." Link said and they nod.
The four and Magnus continue moving through the town's shopping district to find more Heartless and monsters and they find Bublins, Poes, Bully Dogs, and Hookbats and the enemies attack. Sora attacks with his Keyblade while Link attacks with his sword while Donald casts Fire while Goofy uses Goofy Charge while Magnus strikes with his sword and they defeat the enemies and keep moving through the shopping district and they later find a big building and decide to go in.
(Town-Building Lobby)
The four and Magnus arrive at the town's building, which is under fire and most of the structure is falling apart, so the five move to find more Heartless and monsters, such as Aerolfos, Air Soldiers, Wizzarobes, and Crimson Jazzes and the enemies attack. Link aims his arrows as Sora casts Thunder on the arrows and Link fires lightning arrows at the enemies while Donald casts Gravity while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado while Magnus delivers a powerful upper slash with his sword and they handle the enemies. They keep going through the building's lobby, but it keeps burning and crashing, only for Goofy to find a set of stairs, so they climb up the stairs, taking them the upper part of the building.
(Town-Upper Building)
The five reach upstairs and continue through the building while fighting off more enemies and they find a supporting bridge and cross it, but the fires in the building become intense as more parts of the building fall on the bridge, destroying it. Link uses his hookshot to latch onto a pole and uses it to get across and uses a building's pillar to create a bridge for the rest to cross and they keep going through the building while fighting off more Heartless and monsters and they find a hole in the building and use it to take them outside.
(Town-Square)
The five leave the building and are now in the town's square and they find more fires and find more Flame Cores and Fire Wizzarobes, but Sora and Link work together and they deliver a powerful spinning strike with their weapons, defeating the enemies and continue to move through the square, but then Lizalfos, Red Nocturnes, Moblins, and Bully Dogs.
"Okay, time for a good thrashing!" Sora said.
The same figure is on a building and watches the five.
"There they are and they're with Magnus." The boy figure said.
"I know they're capable, but..." The female voice stops talking.
"Leave it to me!" The boy figure said, jumping off the building.
As the five get ready to fight blue arrows strike at the enemies.
"Huh?" Donald asked.
"What's going on?" Link asked.
Dropping down reveals to be a figure, who happens to be a boy with messy brown hair, blue eyes, white angelic wings on his back, wearing a white chiton, brown gauntlets, brown sandals, and a laurel wreath.
"Glad I caught you guys! And talk about good timing!" The angel boy said.
"Is that an...angel?" Sora asked.
"Oh, him again." Magnus said.
"Look, great to meet you and all, but..." Link said.
"Yeah, I know." The angel boy said, taking out a bow and then divides them into two blades. "I'm gonna help you guys. Name's Pit, by the way. Captain of Lady Palutena's royal guard!" Pit introduced.
"Great to meet you, Pit! Let's take 'em!" Sora said.
(Party in: Pit)
(Information: Team up with Pit and defeat the enemies!)
The Lizalfos slash with their swords and then shoot fireballs while the Bully Dog Heartless deliver bite attacks, but Sora diagonal slashes with his Keyblade followed by a vertical slash and then uses Strike and throws his Keyblade four times and then delivers the final Keyblade throw while Link horizontal slashes with his sword followed by cross slashes and then delivers a thrusing sword attack. Pit delivers two strikes with his dual blades followed by multi attacks with his dual blades, but the Moblins deliver spin attacks with their spears and deliver belly flop attacks while the Red Nocturnes conjure fireballs. Donald casts Water at the Red Nocturnes while Goofy uses Goofy Bash while Magnus delivers heavy swings with his sword followed by a giant sword slam. The Bully Dogs send out barking attacks while the Lizalfos breathe fire to attack, but Pit makes his dual blades into his bow and fires three blue light arrows while Link also fires arrows to attack, but the Red Nocturnes unleash fire blasts while the Moblins throw their spears, but Donald casts Thunder while Goofy uses Goofy Charge while Sora delivers three attacks with his Keyblade and then uses Blitz and they defeat the enemies.
"Whoo yoo! We win!" Pit cheered.
"This angel's almost like Sora." Donald said, crossing his arms.
"Hey, don't compare me to him." Sora said.
"I mean, you're both overly cheerful." Link said.
"Whose side are you on?" Sora asked, making Link chuckle.
"Thank ya for the help there, Pit." Goofy said.
"Heh, don't mention it." Pit said and turns to Magnus. "I see you're as strong as ever, Magnus." Pit said.
"Hmph, still working for your goddess, I bet. Here I thought you'd sitting and playing with your thumbs." Magnus said.
"No way. I keep fighting for the people." Pit said.
"Oh, I don't think we've ever introduce. I'm..." Sora was cut off.
"You're Sora and you guys are Link, Donald, and Goofy." Pit said.
"Yeah, but how did you know that?" Donald asked.
"Um, that's gonna be for later. Right now, we still gotta deal with these Heartless." Pit said.
"You know about 'em too?" Link asked.
"Sure do!" Pit said.
"It just so happens I managed to locate a giant Heartless rampaging the town." The female voice said.
"Huh? Who said that?" Sora asked, looking around.
"I don't see anyone." Goofy said.
"It must be that goddess." Magnus said.
"So, if we find that giant Heartless, then we're done?" Pit asked.
"Pretty much, consider dealing with a 'boss', if you will." The female voice said.
"Okay! We're on our way. I have the Keybearer and the Hero of Legend with me!" Pit said.
"Wait, what?" Link asked.
"Okay, Pit, you, Sora, Link, and the others must find that Heartless and stop it." The female voice said.
"You got it, Lady Palutena! Okay, so the here's the thing..." Pit was cut off.
"We gotta find that giant Heartless and defeat?" Donald said.
"Yep." Pit said.
"Okay, but who were you talking to?" Sora asked.
"Again, we'll save that for later. Right now, we got a town to save." Pit said.
"Fine. So, where's the giant Heartless?" Link asked.
"Oops, sorry about that. You should be able to find that Heartless at the town's fountain district." Palutena said.
"Okay, um... Thanks, Miss Voice." Sora said.
"Magnus, you wanna help out?" Pit asked.
"Eh, might as well. Just try not to do anything stupid." Magnus said.
(Information: Find the giant Heartless at the fountain district!)
Sora, Link, Donald, Goofy, Pit, and Magnus make their way through town to get to the fountain district and find the giant Heartless while fighting off many Heartless and other monsters and later arrive at a different part of town, where they find many Lizalfos and Aeroflos, so Sora and Link defeat them quickly and the group continue and later arrive at the next area.
(Town-Fountain District)
The group arrive at a district with a giant fountain, but then black fireballs rain down at the group who dodge out of the way.
"What was that?" Link asked.
"Up there!" Goofy said, pointing at something.
The group look up to see a giant Heartless that looks like a phoenix with crimson and orange feathers, red beak, red legs with black talons, yellow eyes, red fiery aura around it, and the Heartless emblem on its body.
"There it is! It's the giant Heartless that started the attack! You must defeat it!" Palutena said.
"Okay, voice!" Sora said.
"We better be careful!" Donald said.
Phoenix Heartless
Firebrand
(Boss Theme: Shrouding Dark Cloud)
(Information: Defeat Firebrand!)
The Heartless known as Firebrand flaps its wings and rains down fireballs at the group, who dodge only for Firebrand to unleash fire waves, but Sora aerial slashes at the giant Heartless with his Keyblade followed by casting Blizzard while Link aims and fires four arrows at Firebrand, who delivers a a flying drill attack at the group, who dodge. Firebrand leaves behind a fiery trail, only for the group to avoid it and Goofy throws his shield while Magnus delivers heavy swings with his sword, but Firebrand flies all over the district while raining down more fireballs and then dives down to get the group. Donald casts Blizzard and then casts Thunder while Pit aerial attacks with hid dual blades in a windmill fashion, only for Firebrand to attack with its talons and then delivers a fiery wing swipe, but Link delivers four slashes with his sword followed by a shield bash while Sora uses Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade four times and then delivers the final Keyblade throw. Firebrand flies around while raining down more fireballs and then delivers another drilling attack while leaving fiery trails, but Donald casts Water while Pit shoots three light arrows while Magnus delivers a leaping slamming sword attack, but Firebrand claps its wings and unleashes waves of flames. Goofy manages to block the flame waves with his shield and then uses Goofy Tornado while Sora casts Blizzard, but Firebrand attacks with its talons and then flies off to get away from the group and uses its wings to send out fiery arrows, but Link aims and uses his hookshot to latch onto the Heartless, taking him up and aerial slashes with his sword followed by an aerial spinning slash, only for Firebrand to swipe with its wings, sending Link back.
Firebrand aerial drill attacks while leaving fiery trails, but the group avoid the fiery trails and Pit takes out a gauntlet and delivers an uppercut with it while Donald casts Earth followed by casting Aero while Magnus delivers an upper heavy slash. Firebrand flaps its wings and shoots down fireballs to attack the group, who dodge, only for Firebrand to fly around and unleashes fiery spheres around the and sends them to attack. The group dodge the fire spheres, but Firebrand dives down to attack, only for Goofy to use Goofy Rocket while Link aerial spin slashes, sending him upward and then aerial slashes with his sword followed by an aerial stabbing attack while Sora aerial slashes with his Keyblade followed by an aerial somersault slash. Firebrand attacks with its talons and then unleashes waves of fire, but Pit unleashes two shields around him to block off the fire waves and then rapid slashes with his dual blades while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado, but Firebrand unleashes a stream of flames to try and burn the group. They manage to avoid the stream of flames and Donald casts Blizzard followed by casting Thunder while Sora uses Blitz and strikes three times, but Firebrand retaliates with summoning fire spheres around the group and sends them to attack, only for Magnus to deliver heavy strikes with his sword while Link throws his razor boomerang to attack. Firebrand flies around the district and rains down more fireballs and then rains down fiery arrows at the group, who dodge and Sora aerial slashes with his Keyblade and then casts Water to deal great damage while Pit also aerial slashes with his dual blades and then sawblade fashion followed by a downward strike while Link aims his arrows and shoots them while Donald uses his Water magic on the arrows as the water arrows hit the Heartless.
Firebrand retaliates with raising its wings upward and rains down meteors down at the group, who dodge the raining meteors and Magnus delivers a leaping slamming sword strike while Goofy uses Goofy Rocket, but Firebrand flies around while unleashing fiery spheres. The group dodge and Donald casts Blizzard followed by casting Water while Pit fires three light arrows while Link uses his hookshot to reach the Heartless and aerial slashes with his sword, only for Firebrand to swipe with its wing and then claps its wings to send out streams of flames and then unleashes waves of fire. Goofy uses Goofy Tornado while Sora uses Strike Raid and throws his Keyblade four times, but Firebrand flies around while dropping fiery bombs that explode when hitting the ground to get the group, who dodge the fiery bombs and Pit delivers an uppercut attack with his gauntlet while Magnus delivers an upper heavy strike followed by a slamming strike while Donald casts Earth. Firebraind rains down more meteors to get the group, who dodge, but Firebrand unleashes fiery arrows, only for Link and Goofy to block the attacks with their shields and Link shoots his arrows while Goofy throws his shield and Sora casts Water. Firebrand delivers its drilling attack while leaving fiery trails and dropping fiery bombs, only for the group to dodge out of the way and Donald casts Aero and then casts Blizzard while Pit delivers many slashes with his dual blades and then delivers a windmill style strike while Link delivers four slashes with his sword followed by a spinning slash. Firebrand flies around and shoots fireballs followed by raining down more meteors, only for the group to dodge, but Firebrand delivers a fiery diving attack to strike, but the group dodge and Magnus delivers two heavy horiztonal strikes with his sword followed by a hard vertical attack while Pit multi slashes with his dual blades while Goofy uses Goofy Tornado while Donald casts Water while Link delivers five slashes with his sword while Sora delivers five slashes with his Keyblade and the group finish off Firebrand, ending the fight.
Firebrand roars and flies into the air, but then a giant heart leaves the giant Heartless as the heart flies into the air while Firebrand falls to the ground and disappears in flames.
"We did it!" Sora cheered.
"Victory!" Pit cheered grinning.
"Finally, what a pain." Magnus said.
"Looks like the town should be safe now." Goofy said.
Just then, beams of lights appear from the sky and they're on Sora, Link, Donald, Goofy, and Pit.
"Hey, what's goin' on?" Donald asked.
"Don't worry, we're gonna be sent somewhere." Pit said.
"Uh, where?" Sora asked, but the beams of light send the five into the sky.
"See ya later, Magnus!" Pit said and they're gone.
"Well, there they go, probably to meet with that goddess." Magnus said.
The beams of light send Sora, Link, Donald, Goofy, and Pit into the sky and they later arrive at what looks like a giant temple with a statue of a woman.
"Now where are we?" Link asked.
"We're at Skyworld, where Lady Palutena rules." Pit said.
"Okay, and why are we here?" Sora asked.
"'Cause Lady Palutena wants to meet you face-to-face. She needs to talk to ya." Pit said.
"Okay, and why aren't we IN the temple instead of OUT here?" Link asked.
"Oh, calm down. Just get inside and find me at my chamber. Besides, think of Pit giving you a nice tour around Skyworld." Palutena said.
"Okay, I don't mind a nice temple exploration." Sora said.
"Whatever this Palutena wants from us better be important." Donald said.
"C'mon, let's get goin'!" Pit said running off.
"Wait for us, Pit!" Goofy said.
"C'mon!" Link said, as they follow the angel.

The group go for the temple and go through the temple's entry grounds and find a temple's door and they open it, taking them to the inside of the temple.
(Palutena's Temple-Temple Foyer)
The group are now in the temple's foyer with stairs and Pit begins going upstairs and the others follow him and arrive at a hall and go through the temple's hall, taking them to another area of the temple.
(Palutena's Temple-Temple Interior)
The group arrive at the temple's interior and come across a spiral staircase, so the group climb up the spiral staircase while following Pit upstairs and they later arrive at the upper part of the temple's interior and arrive at a bigger hall and keep, following Pit through the temple's hall. They find another door, taking them to a different hall and find more stairs and climb up, taking them to another upper part of the temple's interior and find another door and open it taking them somewhere else.
(Palutena's Temple-Temple Exterior)
The group are now outside the temple and come across a bridge and cross it, taking them to the other side of the temple's exterior and arrive at a yard and they find another temple and Pit leads them to the door.
"This is it! Lady Palutena's chamber!" Pit said.
"Finally." Donald said.
"Let's go in and talk to her." Sora said.
"Well, enough standing around. Let's go already." Link said as they go into the temple.
(Palutena's Temple-Palutena's Chamber)
The group arrive inside the temple's chamber with fountains of flowing water, statues of woman carrying weapons such as swords, staffs, shields, and bows and arrows, plants around the room, and a big throne in the center of the chamber. Sitting on the throne is a woman with long green hair, blue eyes, wearing a white sleeveless dress with some armor, bracelets, heels, and a gold laural wreath.
"Lady Palutena, I've found the heroes you needed." Pit said, bowing and kneeling.
"Hey there!" Sora said, grinning.
"Sora, you're the presence of of Lady Palutena, the Goddess of Light! Show some respect!" Pit yelled, making Sora aback.
"It's alright, Pit. It's a pleasure to finally meet the chosen hero of the Keyblade, the new hero chosen by Nayru, Din, and Farore, and King Mickey's faithful friends, Donald and Goofy. I, Palutena, Goddess of Light, welcome you all to Skyworld." Palutena said.
"Thank you, Your Goddessness, but how is it that you know about us? We just met." Link said.
"Oh, as a goddess, I know of many things. I also happen to watch over the balance of the worlds and ensure the peace of the Realm of Light." Palutena said.
"And you already know I'm a Keybearer?" Sora asked.
"Of course I do, Sora. I have watched your previous adventures, as you, Donald, and Goofy have fought against the Heartless, Xehanort's Heartless, Nobodies, Organization XIII, and Xehanort's Nobody, Xemnas himself. You truly are a courageous youth." Palutena said.
"Hehe, that means a lot." Sora said.
"Oh, please." Donald said, rolling his eyes.
"So, uh, did ya wanna talk to us, Lady Palutena, ma'am?" Goofy asked.
"Yes, by now, you already know about Merlock and his Grimm, correct?" Palutena asked.
"Yeah and right after Maleficent brought that Ganondorf guy back and got the completed Triforce, Merlock showed up and took it." Sora said.
"He also kicked us out of Hyrule too." Link said with disdain.
"Yes, but right before he banished you, I decided to...intervene a bit and my power brought you to our world. You see, Pit and I knew of Merlock's plan, as well as Maleficent's plot and if we're going to stop them, we must seek your assistance." Palutena said.
"You really need our help to stop Merlock's Grimm?" Donald asked.
"Yes. You see, after he got the Triforce, Merlock has already started wrecking havoc on Hyrule and he has sent his Grimm, as well as Heartless and other monsters to bring chaos to many worlds. With the Triforce at their disposal, Merlock is pretty much unstoppable. However, there is a fighting chance. There might be a way to counter against the Triforce itself." Palutena said.
"Really?" Sora asked.
"Please tell us! We gotta know now!" Link said.
"Hey, respect, Link!" Pit said.
"Shut up!" Link yelled.
"Calm down. I was just about to tell you. You see, there are artifacts that are just as powerful as the Triforce itself. Special stones that hold excellent power. These are called the Sacred Stones. Long ago, after Nayru, Din, and Farore created the Triforce, worried that anyone would have their wishes granted, including someone of evil intent, I decided to create twelve stones to help combat the power of the Triforce in the hands of evil. The Sacred Stones are the only items you need to stop Merlock at full power and take the Triforce from him." Palutena said.
"Okay, so where are the Sacred Stones?" Sora asked.
"That's the thing, as Maleficent learned of the Triforce and knew its completion would grant full power from Ganondorf, he also learned of the Sacred Stones and warned Maleficent of their power to counter the Triforce. Before Hyrule, she invaded Skyworld, and tried to destroy them. I manage to scatter them away to different worlds so she wouldn't get her hands on them and I banished her, along with her Heartless and monsters out of Skyworld. It seems now that they don't have the Triforce, but desire to have it back, they'll be seeking the Sacred Stones as well to counter Merlock and take back the Triforce for themselves. You must go to different worlds and find the Sacred Stones before Maleficent and Ganondorf do." Palutena said.
"Got it!" Sora said.
"You can count on us!" Donald said.
"But do you have any idea WHERE you put the Sacred Stones?" Link asked.
"Of course, I AM a goddess. The first Sacred Stone you should search for is in Dawn Town. I can imagine someone has already found it. Search for the young man, Marth. He should be able to point you to the right direction." Palutena said.
"First Sacred Stone, Dawn Town, and Marth. Okay." Link said.
"Now, hold on. As you'll already know, you'll run into Heartless and monsters as well. Some are under Maleficent and Ganondorf's power, but they'll also serve the Grimm. You'll also run into Grimm members as well. They'll know what you're doing." Palutena said.
"Don't worry, we'll smash 'em!" Donald said.
"Still, don't be careless. They're powerful than you think and it's obvious that you, Donald and Goofy, know what Merlock, Magica, and Zeke are capable of. Find the Sacred Stone, then I'll bring you back here." Palutena said.
"Great, so we good?" Link asked.
"Now wait a minute. There's another thing I want to share. Link, you have a musical instrument, correct?" Palutena asked.
"Yeah, I have this flute Bella gave me." Link said taking out his flute.
"Good. Sora, I wish to give you something." Palutena said, taking out a red and black ocarina and gives it to Sora.
"An ocarina?" Sora asked.
"It's no ordinary ocarina. It has a special power once you learn a new song, which I will now teach you. This is called Goddess of Light's Melody. Please repeat after me." Palutena said, as she's singing Goddess of Light's Melody.
Sora begins playing his new ocarina while Link plays his flute and they play Goddess of Light's Melody.

"With this song, you'll be able to contact me, whether you need my help or if you wish to leave a world you're in." Palutena said.
"Thanks, Lady Palutena!" Sora said.
"Oh, I got a question, do ya know what happened to King Mickey, Riku, Impa, Sheik, and Roberta?" Goofy asked.
"Don't worry. They're sent to a different world, but they're safe. You'll run into them very soon. I promise. I just hope Viridi treats them at least a little fairly, but that's not possible..." Palutena said.
"Huh?" Sora asked.
"Never mind that. The point is, you'll see them again soon." Palutena said.
"Okay, that's good enough for me." Donald said.
"Um, what about Princess Zelda?" Link asked.
"Zelda will be fine too, Link. You'll see her again soon as well. Just be patient." Palutena said.
"I told you, we'll find her." Sora said.
"Yeah, I know." Link said.
"Now then, are you ready to go to Dawn Town?" Palutena asked.
"Yes, ma'am!" Sora, Link, Donald, and Goofy said, saluting.
"Good and Pit, I'd like you to go with them." Palutena said.
"Yes, Lady Palutena!" Pit said saluting as well.
"Welcome aboard, Pit!" Sora said, grinning.
"Just what we need, a Sora 2!" Donald said.
"What's THAT mean?" Sora asked annoyed, making Palutena giggle.
"Alright then, talk to me when you're ready." Palutena said.
(Obtained: Sora's Ocarina)
Sora and Link go to Palutena and talk to her.
"Are you ready to go to Dawn Town?" Palutena asked.
"Yes, ma'am." Sora said.
"We're ready." Link said.
"Excellent." Palutena said, as she creates beams of light on Sora, Link, Donald, Goofy, and Pit and the beams of light send them out of the chamber. "Good luck, Defenders of Light." Palutena said.
Surprise! New chapter for you! Sorry this kinda took a little long, as I was trying to brainstorm for this chapter, so hope you liked this chapter where this is gonna go. Now, the journey begins! I hope you're looking forward to what comes up next. Anyway, hope you're still enjoying this story so far. Next time, Sora, Link, Donald, Goofy, and Pit go to Dawn Town to find the first Sacred Stone, but as they arrive, they begin dealing with Heartless and other monsters with the help of some new friends .
