Jekyll and Penny were at Jekyll's room in the Slifer Red dorm as they talked about what is going on. Jekyll managed to figure out Penny was from another world and Penny was curious about Duel Monsters and this world in general.
Jekyll was packing his stuff to get ready move into the Ra yellow dorm as they spoke.
"So there really aren't any Grimm here, nor huntsmen, huntresses, aura or dust?" Penny asked, still amazed by the fact there was a world without such things.
"Nope, last I checked we didn't have any schools to train kids to fight monsters." Jekyll said.
"That's amazing." Penny said.
"By the way, how did you end up here in the first place?" Jekyll asked.
"Well it all started when General Ironwood asked me to go to Beacon Academy." Penny recalled how she and her friends first ended up here. "He and Professor Ozpin had heard of odd reports in the forest and sent me as well as Teams RWBY, JNPR, and CFVY to investigate. When we got to the where it was we found what looked like a giant glowing crack in midair."
"That sounds like what I saw in the sky right before you crashed into me." Jekyll commented.
"Then that confirms they were connected because when we found it it glowed brightly and the next thing I know I land here." Penny said.
"So then that means if the rest of your friends were brought here too then we need to find about 12 people." Jekyll figured. "Since no one was around with you then you guys must have been split up."
"Yes, and I don't know where else they landed." Penny said concerned for her friends.
"Well, maybe they landed somewhere on the island, we could try exploring it to see if we can find them. Also in a week is supposed to be a vacation for the academy students, and I was planning on relaxing in the city off the island and maybe we can see if they ended up there." Jekyll suggested.
"That sounds like a splendid idea, Thank you so much!" Penny thanked as she gave Jekyll a bone crushing hug.
"Can't.. breathe..." Jekyll gaped out as Penny as a LOT stronger than she looks.
"Oh my, I'm sorry!" She said as she let Jekyll go and he groaned in pain.
"Anyways, you said you wanted to learn about Duel Monsters?" Jekyll asked and she nodded.
"Well I need to finish moving my stuff so how about I tell you more about it tomorrow?" Jekyll said as he closed up another box.
"Ok!" Penny said.
Meanwhile, somewhere else on the island...
A figure is walking onto the shore while looking at a map. "So this is the Duel Academy Boss is so interested in." The figure said in a gruff voice.
The next day...
Jekyll and Penny were seen walking out of the Ra Yellow Dorm, instead of the red blazer he wore last time he now had a yellow one. He had just went through some of the basic stuff about Duel Monsters, right now he was answering her question as to why everyone had different colored blazers.
"Ok so this is how it works, when you enter duel academy you get ranked depending on well you do. then you are put into one of the three dorms. First you got the Obelisk Blues, the best of the school, students usually get into Obelisk Blue through good grades, going to some special dueling prep school, or just connections." Jekyll began explaining.
"The Ra Yellows are the second highest, usually younger students with lots of potential. They aren't the best but they're far from the worst."
"Then there are the Slifer Reds, a lot of people refer to them as the bottom of the barrel." Jekyll said.
"I see." Penny said as she understood the meaning of the colors and the rankings.
"But don't let that fool you." Jekyll said suddenly which slightly caught her off guard. "Just because someone is ranked Obelisk Blue, that doesn't mean they're unbeatable or anything. And just because someone is from Slifer Red don't let that make you think they're terrible, hell some of the best duelists that graduated from this school were from Slifer Red." He said which surprised her.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah, besides I never really liked a majority of those Obelisks, more often than not they tend to be more like snobbish brats who think they're better than everyone else." He said.
As they were walking they were saw a man standing in their path. It was a tall man with somewhat tan skin, short spiky hair with a bit of his hair in the center front being red, and red eyes. He was wearing a long black coat with white fur on the collar and the edges of the coat, crimson pants, black boots, and a black T-shirt. What was noticeable about the T-shirt was the logo on it, it was a bone-like mask that had red markings on it, it was something all too familiar to Penny. It was the mask of a Beowolf Grimm.
Penny gasped. "Jekyll, that logo on the shirt..." She tried to warn but the man interrupted her.
"So you're one of those kids that came here, the boss told me you would look different but I didn't expect this!" The man laughed and Jekyll narrowed his eyes.
The man looked toward Jekyll. "Look kid, this is between me and the girl, so run off somewhere else and you don't have to worry about getting caught up in our business." he said.
"While I normally try to avoid getting caught up in stuff that isn't my business, I believe this is already my business." Jekyll said as he stepped in front of Penny. "Because 1) The person you have business with is my friend. 2) These are Duel Academy grounds and I doubt you're a student or a teacher. And 3) And I mean no offense with this, you are unbelievably shady." He said.
The man growled. "Well, he said they might put up a fight. So why don't we settle this another way?" The man said as he pulled out a device and to Jekyll's and Penny's surprise it was a duel disk. It was mainly black with white highlights and a red trim.
'This guy's a duelist?' Jekyll asked to himself. He didn't know what exactly was this guy's deal but if he wanted to settle this with a duel then so be it. Jekyll then put on his duel disk.
"Jekyll, the logo on his shirt is a Grimm mask." Penny warned.
"You mean those mindless monsters you told me about?" Jekyll asked with a low voice.
"For the record I can hear you." The man interrupted their conversation. "Also calling us mindless is just harsh. Now are you just gonna talk or are you gonna duel?" He said.
"Fine then." Jekyll said as he got ready.
"Let's Duel!" they both said at the same time.
"I'll go first!" Jekyll declared but before he could draw the man called out.
"Hey! If we're gonna duel then it's only right that we at least know the name of the person we're gonna beat." He said.
"What?" Jekyll asked confused.
"You can just call me Felix Fenris!" The man now named Felix said.
'Well it's better than just calling him 'shady guy' or 'Grimm man'.' Jekyll thought. "Okay my name is Jekyll Giada." He said before continuing the duel.
Turn 1
Jekyll LP: 4000 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 5 VS Felix hand: 5
Jekyll looked at his hand. "I summon Trap Reactor - Y FI!" He said as a new monster that yet again resembled a humanoid plane, this one was a dark green with the wings as the arms and legs. he had a turret for a face with another pair of turrets on it's chest.

"Then I'll set 2 face-downs and end my turn." Jekyll said.
Turn 2
Jekyll LP: 4000 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 2 VS Felix hand: 5+1
"I draw!" Felix announced.
"Then since you have cards on the field and I don't, I'm allowed to normal summon this guy in attack mode!" He said as new monster appeared on the field. "Come on out Hammer Bounzer!"
This new monster looked a like a humanoid Hyena wearing a jumpsuit that's red for his torso and brown for his shoulders, arms, and legs, he also had hammers for hands.
Hammer Bounzer
(LV: 6 / EARTH / [Warrior/Effect] / 2300 ATK / 2000 DEF)
"Wait a second, I was told that monsters that are level 5 and higher can't be summoned without sacrificing a monster!" Penny exclaimed.
"Like I said, thanks to his special effect I can summon him without one since he controlled a card and I didn't." Felix informed. "But that's not all he can do, when he attacks an opponents monster, so long as I don't control any spell or trap cards, your friend won't be able to activate any of his until after the fight!" He added as Penny gasped and Jekyll grit his teeth.
"Go Hammer Bounzer and smash his pathetic machine to bits!" He commanded and Hammer Bounzer charged ahead slammed his hammers down onto Trap Reactor.
Jekyll LP: 4000 - 1500 = 2500 LP
"Now, I'll activate the spell card Reload!" He said as a card appeared on the field. The image it had was what appeared to be someone reloading what can only be described as the ancient Egyptian version of a gun.
"With this I can put my the rest of my hand back into my deck and draw an equal amount of cards." He said as he performed the action and smiled at his new hand.
"Now I'll set a card face down and end my turn." He said as he finished his turn.
Turn 3
Jekyll LP: 2500 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 2+1 VS Felix hand: 3
Jekyll drew his card and looked at his hand. "Ok I'll activate Allure to Darkness!" he said as he drew 2 cards and banished Heavy Mech Support platform from his hand.
"I'll summon Spell Reactor - RE (1200 ATK / 900 DEF) to the field in attack mode and set a card and then I'll end my turn." Jekyll said.
Turn 4
Jekyll LP: 2500 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 1 VS Felix hand: 3+1
"What's the matter, you got a bad hand or are you just getting cold feet?" Felix taunted as he drew.
I summon Command Knight in attack mode!" suddenly a lady and dark red armor with white feather-like decorating around the tors with a red helmet with what looked like golden wings adorning it. She also wore a purple cape.
Command Knight
(LV: 4 / FIRE / [Warrior/Effect] / 1200 ATK / 1900 DEF)
"When she's on the field all my warrior type monsters gain 400 ATK!" He informed.
Hammer Bounzer: 2300 ATK + 400 ATK = 2700 ATK
Command Knight: 1200 ATK + 400 ATK = 1600 ATK
"I activate my trap, Pulse Mines!" He said as one of his face down cards flipped up to reveal an image of multiple mine-like objects in what appears to be a digital space.
"Now thanks to this, since I have a machine type monster on the field all monster you control as well as any and all monsters you summon this turn will switched to defense position." Jekyll explained.
Felix scowled since this meant all his monster's were stuck like this until his next turn. "I end my turn."
Turn 5
Jekyll LP: 2500 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 1+1 VS Felix hand: 3
"I draw." Jekyll said.
He looked at his hand smirked.
"I activate my Transmodify spell card!" Jekyll said. "Now if you don't know what this, this lets my trade in my monster for another monster from my deck with the same type and attribute as it but 1 level higher. So I'll bring out Trap Reactor!"
Just like that, Spell Reactor Vanished and another Trap Reactor had taken it's place.
"But that's not all, I activate Call of the haunted to bring back my first Trap Reactor." He said as his other face-down turned up and showed the image of a tombstone with a purple smoke coming from it and his first Trap Reactor.
"Now I'll summon Jumbo Drill!" He said as Jumbo Drill appeared on the field. "And when he's normal summoned I can increase the levels of all my machine monsters by 1!"
Trap Reactor - Y FI (2x): LV 4 + 1 = LV 5
Jumbo Drill: LV 4 + 1 = LV 5
"Three Level 5 monsters?" Felix asked nervously knowing what he's likely about to do.
"I overlay the my 3 Level 5 monsters to build the Overlay Network!" Jekyll said as a vortex appeared on his side of the field and the two Trap Reactors turned into purple energy and Jumbo Drill turned into brownish orange energy and flew into the vortex.
"Rise Rank 5 Digvorzhak, King of Heavy Industry!" Jekyll announced.
Suddenly a massive machine that resembled a bucket-wheel excavator appeared on the field with 3 orbs of light circling around it.
Digvorzhak, King of Heavy Industry
(Rank: 5 / EARTH / [Machine/Xyz/Effect] / 3200 ATK / 2000 DEF)
"It's... Massive..." Penny said in awe of the new machine that appeared. It made the other monsters she's seen so far look like mice.
"Damn, that's an impressive monster, kid." Felix said impressed.
"Well I'm not done yet, I activate his effect, by removing an Overlay Unit I can send the top 3 cards of the deck to your graveyard, and if there are any monster cards among them I can destroy cards you control equal to the amount of monsters that were sent to the graveyard." He said as an Overlay Unit flew into one of the lights of Digvorzhak.
Suddenly the wheels on the excavator started spinning rapidly and 3 cards were sent from Felix's deck to the graveyard. they were Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade, Marauding Captain, and Battle Bounzer.
"That's 2 monsters sent to the graveyard so I'll destroy your face down cards!" He said and the spinning wheels on Digvorzhak destroyed his face downs.
"Now Digvorzhak, destroy Hammer Bounzer!" Jekyll commanded and Digvorzhak ran over Hammer Bounzer, destroying him.
"Now I'll end my turn." Jekyll said.
Turn 6
Jekyll LP: 2500 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 0 VS Felix hand: 3+1
'I need more cards if I want to make a comeback.' Felix thought as he drew.
"First I play Cup of Ace!" he said as he held up a spell card with he image of a chalice on it. "With this I flip a coin and if it's heads, I get to draw 2 cards but if it's tails, you're who gets to draw."
He flipped the coin and growled when the result was tails and Jekyll got 2 more cards.
"Let's try that again." He said as he played a second Cup of Ace, however this time the result was heads.
"Ha!" He cheered as he looked at his new cards. "Now I activate Graceful Charity!" He said.
"I can draw three cards and then discard two." He said as he performed the action one he saw his hand line up he smiled.
"Now I'll activate Monster Reborn and bring back Hammer Bounzer." He said as a dark portal opened up on his side of the field and Hammer Bounzer jumped out of it and back onto the field.
"But he won't be staying as I'll tribute him and my Command knight to summon Gilford the Legend!" He said and Jekyll gasped as a new monster appeared on the field.
This monster looked like a legendary knight, he wore black armor that showed his abs with shoulder pieces that had two tusks on each one, he had iron leggings with spikes near the boots. He had his face covered by a black mask with horns, and he also had long red hair. He was wielding a giant Broadsword.
Gilford the Legend
(LV: 8 / EARTH / [Warrior/Effect] / 2600 ATK / 2000 DEF)
"Amazing, he looks like an actual Huntsman..." Penny said in amazement.
"Penny I know you think he's amazing but now is not the time to complement the enemy's monster." Jekyll said as he knew Gilford's effect and that Felix was far from finished.
"Now thanks to his effect I can equip any card I possess in the graveyard like Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade as well as the Axe of Despair and Mist Body I removed from my hand!" He announced as the cards appeared from his graveyard and on the field. "He gets 300 ATK points from Phoenix Blade, 1000 ATK from Axe of Despair, and thanks to mist body he can't be destroyed!"
Gilford the Legend: 2600 ATK + 300 ATK + 1000 ATK = 3900 ATK
Suddenly Gilford's sword changed to be a golden sword with a wing-like guard while mist started to appear coming from his body.
"Oh, crap baskets." Was all Jekyll said.
"Now Gilford take out Digvorzhak!" Felix said and Gilford Charge Digvorzhak and slashed through him vertically, destroying him.
Jekyll LP: 2500 - 700 = 1800 LP
Jekyll raised his arms to protect himself from the shockwave again before clutching his chest in pain. 'What is going on? Why does it feel like the damage I'm taking is real?' He thought before focusing back onto the duel.
"I set a card and end my turn." Felix said as he set a card down.
Turn 7
Jekyll LP: 1800 VS Felix LP: 4000
Jekyll hand: 2+1 VS Felix hand: 2
"My move." Jekyll said as he looked over his hand. 'Allure of Darkness, Atlas Soul: Penny Polendina, and Heavy Mech Support Platform.'
"I activate Allure of Darkness again to draw 2 cards and then banish 1." He said as he got rid of Heavy Mech Support Platform.
He looked at his hand and nodded to himself.
"Now I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Jumbo Drill." He said as Jumbo Drill had come back to the field.
"Now I'll summon Atlas Soul Penny Polendina and Overlay her with ym level 4 Jumbo drill to Xyz summon!" he said as Penny jumped onto the field and she and Jumbo Drill turned into energy and flew into the vortex once more.
"I Xyz summon, Rank 4 Cyber Huntress: Penny Polendina!" Jekyll announced as Penny appeared on the field with Floating Array ready.
"So the pipsqueak has a way to return to normal huh?" Felix mumbled to himself.
"Now I activate her ability and get rid of an Overlay Unit to destroy 2 cards on your field. I choose your Axe of Despair and Phoenix blade!" Jekyll said as penny fired 2 lasers, destroying said equip cards.
"Now she gains 500 attack for each one destroyed until the end of my turn." Jekyll informed.
Cyber Huntress: Penny Polendina: 2800 ATK + 500 ATK + 500 ATK = 3800 ATK
"It won't be enough to wipe out my Life points." Felix said.
"I know." Jekyll informed. "Which is why I activate this!" He said as he held up a spell card with the image of a odometer next to some random machine parts.
"Limiter Removal?!" Felix exclaimed nervously as he took a step back.
"Judging by your reaction I take it you know that his card doubles the power of all my Machine type monsters on the field." Jekyll said.
Cyber Huntress: Penny Polendina: 3800 ATK x 2 = 7600 ATK
"Now penny lets take him down and destroy Gilford!" Jekyll said as penny nodded and charge up a laser.
'Damn it! She has 5000 more ATK points the Gilford, even with my Ego Boost spell that I set down, that only increases Gilford's ATK by 1000 so I'd still take 4000 points of damage!' Felix said in his head as the laser destroyed Gilford on impact.
Felix LP: 4000 - 5000 = 0 LP
Duel Over
Winner: Jekyll Giada
Felix scowled. "You're pretty good kid, but unfortunately for you I'm not exactly done with my business here and when I come back the winner will be different." He said as he pulled out a small round object and threw it at the ground, revealing it to be a smoke bomb. When the smoke cleared up, Felix was gone.
Jekyll suddenly fell to his knees panting.
"Are you okay?!" Penny said in concern as she changed back to chibi size and ran up to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Jekyll said between breaths. "It was weird though, I could actually feel the damage he dealt."
He started to get up and look at Penny. "I don't think we're the only ones looking for your friends. We need to find the chancellor, if people really are sneaking onto the island like that guy then he can raise the security."
"You really think the security can stop those Grimm?" Penny asked as she helped him up.
"I don't know. But if they're duelists like that last guy then maybe." He said. "Speaking of which, you said the Grimm were suppose to be monsters, how come that one was, or at least looked, human?"
"I don't know. Perhaps they went through a transformation when they came here like me and my friends." Penny theorized.
"Well, right now it looks like we're in a race to find them." Jekyll said as Penny looked worried.
Delta City
Meanwhile in the city on the mainland close to Duel Academy.
At a train station a young man was stepping of the train, he had partially slicked back brown hair, green eyes and light skin, he was wearing a gray coat and a white undershirt while wearing blue pants.
As he was getting of the train he heard an odd noise, it sounded like someone was sick. 'Did someone get motion sick? It sounds pretty bad.' he thought to himself before deciding to check if the person needed any help.
"Hey are you okay?" The man said as he found the noise coming from around the corner. The person didn't reply so he decided to go check.
He was not ready for what he saw. He saw a small boy that was a real life chibi with blond hair, blue eyes, and light skin. he was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and what looked like a white knight's chestplate. He also had a sword in a white and yellow sheath on his hip.
They boy looked up and finally noticed the young man. They both looked at each other wide-eyed for a few moments before doing the same thing.
"AAAAAAAAAHHH!"
