At the Ra Yellow dorm Jekyll was looking at several of his cards as well as opening booster packs in his room.
"What are you doing?" Penny asked.
"I'm thinking of new ways to play, like using new cards or trying out different decks." Jekyll said.
"Why?" Penny asked confused.
"Well, many duelists like to tinker with their decks often to make them more flexible and to be able to use new strategies. The last duel I had yesterday against that Felix guy I barely won because of some luck form getting a couple cards from his Cup of Ace." Jekyll explained as he opened a booster pack which had a great surprise for him.
"No way!" He exclaimed, shocking penny.
"What?" She asked concerned.
"The card I just got." He said as he showed her a card. It was a dragon-like machine with 3 serpentine-like heads, a serpentine-like body with a blue orb in it's chest, and had a pair of metallic wings with blue orbs on them as well. It was a dark grey color.
"Cyber End Dragon..." Penny mumbled as she read the card name.
"It's a rare card and one of my favorite monsters. I can't believe I actually drew one!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"I've been looking for this card forever for my Cyber Dragon deck." He said as he quickly searched through his cards to find the ones he was looking for, 3 serpent-like machines that partially resembled the three heads of Cyber End Dragon. They were also a dark grey color.
"Cyber Dragon?" Penny asked, interested in learning more about the Cyber Dragons.
"My favorite monsters and a great addition to one of my main decks." He said as he started putting cards together.
"Main deck? What does that mean?" Penny asked.
"I like to use different kinds of cards and decks to have different options. But the Cyber Dragons are the some of the ones I love to use most."
"So what about those other cards you use, the 'Reactors' as you called them?" Penny inquired.
"They're also some of my favorite monsters, almost as much as my Cyber Dragons and another card I use called 'Jinzo'. I figured they would be one of the best choices for that duel." Jekyll explained as he finished putting together his deck.
"Ok, I modified this deck to make use of both the cyber dragons as well as to give you a hand in a duel." Jekyll said as he put the deck in a deck case and placed it in his blazer. "Come on, let's see if we can find any of your friends around school."
"Of course!" Penny said as she left with Jekyll to find her friends.
A few minutes later...
Penny and Jekyll were walking around school grounds and discussing where they should look first.
"The forest is big and has a lot of ground to cover, it would take forever to search all of it. And I refuse to do 'Split up'." Jekyll said.
"So we should look in the places that would be quicker to cover first then move on to the bigger areas like the forest then." Penny theorized.
"Sounds like a good idea to me." Jekyll agreed.
Suddenly they heard a girl's scream.
"NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"What was that?!" Jekyll exclaimed.
"That sounded like Ruby!" Penny yelled alarmed.
"Your friend?" Jekyll asked and she nodded.
"It sounded like it came from docks. That's not too far from here, hurry!" He said as he and Penny started sprinting towards the docks.
A short time later...
Penny and Jekyll made it to the docks with Jekyll looking very out of breath and exhausted. "Oh god I'm out of shape." He breathed out.
The look to see a girl with light skin, cyan eyes, short blue hair and a pseudo-mohawk that partially resembled some sort of fin. She was wearing an open yellow blazer, a dark blue skirt and an blue shirt. She was also apparently being strangled by a small chibi with pale skin, short dark hair that turns red at the tips, and silver eyes who was wearing a black and red blouse and a red cloak.
"Aqua?!" Jekyll said surprised about the girl now named Aqua.
"Ruby!" Penny yelled which caused Ruby to turn to her.
"Penny?!" She said shocked.
"Ruby!" Penny cheered happily as she flew forward to hug her friend.
"Penny wai-" Ruby didn't get the chance to finish talking as she was effectively tackled by penny.
"Why?" She groaned in pain.
"Not to interrupt your reunion but can someone please explain to me WHAT IS GOING?!" Jekyll asked.
"We heard what sounded like Ruby screaming and when we find her she was trying to strangle you!" Jekyll exclaimed as he turned toward Aqua.
"Well..." Aqua started.
Earlier...
"IS THERE NOTHING HERE THAT I KNOW?! WHAT'S GONNA BE NEXT?! COOKIES ARE BANNED?!" Ruby cried after finding out due to a weird conversation with Aqua that nothing here is like what she knows in Remnant.
Aqua, being the troll she is, just grew a mischievous smile as she had an idea said the the cursed words to Ruby.
"What's a cookie?" Aqua said.
Ruby's eye just twitched and she was silent for a moment until...
"NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Back to the present...
"Needless to say she was not pleased when I told her I was joking." Aqua said as Jekyll just pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Damn it Aqua." Jekyll said.
"Do you know her friend Jekyll? Is she a friend of yours?" Penny asked.
"If by 'friend' you mean random annoyance who started hanging around me despite me protesting many times and enjoys messing with me, then yes, we're friends." Jekyll deadpanned.
"Oh come on, don't be like that. You know, you being as cold as a machine like that is why people gave you the nickname 'Machine King'." She said.
"They told me it was because of how much I love Machine-type monsters!"
As Jekyll and Aqua continued bickering Ruby looked at Penny.
"Wait you know him Penny?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, I bumped into him when I first came here and he has been helping me since." Penny explained.
"Oh, what happened?" Ruby asked.
As Penny and Ruby continued talking Jekyll and Aqua had finished bickering and Jekyll noticed something on the ground and picked it up to see a pair of Duel Monsters cards with Ruby on them. 'Just like Penny...' He thought before the cards suddenly disappeared in a red flash.
"FIRST I'M IN A PLACE WHERE NOTHING I KNOW IS HERE, THEN I GET TRICKED BY A GIRL ABOUT COOKIES NOT EXISTING, AND NOW I'M ON A CARD?! WHAT IS WITH THIS PLACE?!" Ruby cried.
"I could tell you." A woman's voice said out of nowhere.
Jumping down in front of the group the woman's voice is revealed to be Brenna.
"After you come with me of course." She said as she readied a Duel Disc.
"Who is that?" Ruby and Aqua asked.
"If I had to guess, a friend of that Felix guy from yesterday." He said as he readied his Duel Disc and Penny narrowed her eyes at Brenna.
"So you're the kid, who defeated Felix. Well that may seem impressive I won't as easy to beat." Brenna said.
"Wait what's going on?" Ruby asked.
"Don't worry Ruby, although the method of combat here is rather unusual, I trust the Jekyll will be able to handle this." Penny said which did not help Ruby's confusion.
"Let's Duel!" Brenna and Jekyll said as they drew their cards.
Duel Begin
Turn 1
Brenna LP: 4000 VS Jekyll LP: 4000
Brenna hand: 5 VS Jekyll hand: 5
"Wait, they're playing a card game?!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Like I said, it is unusual but it is actually quite interesting to watch." Penny assured her friend.
"Do you know why Jekyll's playing against her? From the sounds of it, it sounds like they have business." Aqua asked.
"Her associate tried to capture me yesterday but Jekyll intervened and saved me. I believe that woman is dueling him to get to me as well." She said.
"So she's basically trying to beat him to kidnap you?" Aqua asked and Penny nodded. She then scowled and glared at the woman for trying to kidnap someone and threatening her friend.
"Ladies first!" Brenna said as she took the first move.
"I'll summon Harpie Lady 1." Brenna said as a light-skinned woman with pink hair, wings and claws for arms and talons for feet appeared on her side of the field.
Harpie Lady 1
(LV: 4 / WIND / [Winged-Beast/Effect] / 1300 ATK / 1400 DEF)
Ruby just watched in shock as the dark-haired woman just summoned an actual monster. "What the-?!" She cried.
"Looks like she's using Harpie Ladies then. That could be very bad for Jekyll if she can get more onto the field." Aqua said with a frown since this archetype can be dangerous if the player can get enough monsters on the field.
"How are you so calm?! She just summoned an actual monster!" Ruby exclaimed as she hid behind Aqua.
"Thanks to Harpie Lady 1's effect all WIND monsters gain an extra 300 ATK points while she's on the field."
Harpie Lady 1: 1300 ATK + 300 ATK = 1600 ATK
"Now I activate the spell Elegant Egotist, with this, since I have a Harpie Lady on the field, I can bring out directly from my deck Harpie Lady Sisters!" She said as a trio of Harpie Ladies appeared. One of them looked exactly like Harpie Lady 1 while the other two had orange and blue hair respectively. They were also all wearing armor.

(LV: 6 / WIND / [Winged-Beast/Effect] / 1950 ATK / 2100 DEF)
"And they get a boost from Harpie Lady 1." Brenna reminded.
Harpie Lady Sisters: 1950 ATK + 300 ATK = 2250 ATK
"Now I activate the field spell Harpies' Hunting Ground." Brenna said as she played a card and suddenly the area around the duelists changed to look like a wide open field with nowhere to hide and plenty of space to fly in.
"First she summons monsters then she changes where we are, what is this game?!" Ruby yelled.
"This isn't just a change of scenery dear. Here, all my Winged Beast monsters gain an extra 200 ATK and DEF." Brenna informed.
Harpie Lady 1: 1600 ATK + 200 ATK = 1800 ATK
1400 DEF + 200 DEF = 1600 DEF
Harpie Lady Sisters: 2250 ATK + 200 ATK = 2450 ATK
2100 DEF + 200 DEF = 2300 DEF
"Now that I've set up my field I'll set a face down and end my turn." Brenna stated.
Turn 2
Brenna LP: 4000 VS Jekyll LP: 4000
Brenna hand: 1 VS Jekyll hand: 5+1
"My move." Jekyll said as he drew.
"You should prepare to kneel before the Machine King." Jekyll said as he got ready to make his move.
"Oh so you're embracing the nickname?" Aqua teased.
"Screw you machines are awesome!" Jekyll shot back as Penny and Ruby agreed.
"Ok since you have monsters out while I don't, I can bring out my Cyber Dragon!" Jekyll stated as Cyber Dragon came out onto the field.
Cyber Dragon
(LV: 5 / LIGHT / [Machine/Effect] / 2100 ATK / 1600 DEF)
Ruby had stars in her eyes as she saw a mechanical dragon appear on the field.
"Oh my gosh it looks so amazing!" Ruby screamed excitedly as she used her semblance to speed over to the monster to examine every part of it.
"He looks so advanced, that armor plating is like nothing I've ever seen before, I don't think even Atlas could make something like this!" She said in rapid fire succession as she examined the monster. Cyber Dragon had a sweat drop as the chibi continued to circle him, and so did everyone else.
Jekyll had a deadpan expression showing he was not amused, especially with being interrupted on his turn. Aqua turned to Penny and had to ask.
"Is she always like that?" Aqua asked.
Penny merely shrugged.
After Aqua and Penny pulled Ruby back to the sidelines the duel continued.
"As I was going to do before I was interrupted." Jekyll said as he glanced at ruby who just looked somewhere else. "Since Cyber Dragon was brought out onto the field I can special summon Cyber Dragon Vier from my hand in Defense Mode."
Suddenly a more sleek and streamlined Cyber Dragon with a white and purple design appeared on the field.
Cyber Dragon Vier
(LV: 4 / LIGHT / [Machine/Effect] / 1100 ATK / 1600 DEF)
"Now I activate the spell card Evolution Burst, with this, I can take out 1 card you control while I have a Cyber Dragon out, and I think I'll chose your face-down." He said as Cyber Dragon started charging up a blast in his mouth and fired a blue stream of energy at the face-down card, destroying it.
"Now I'll activate Photon Generator Unit. With this, by sacrificing 2 Cyber Dragons on my field I can Bring out a new monster out. And look at that, Cyber Dragon Vier counts a 'Cyber Dragon' while face up on the field." Jekyll informed.
"So say goodbye to my 2 monsters and welcome Cyber Laser Dragon!" He said as a new more advanced looking Cyber Dragon appeared on the field. It had glowing cyan lines on it's body and, true to it's name, had a laser at the end of it's tail.
Cyber Laser Dragon
(LV: 7 / LIGHT / [Machine/Effect] / 2400 ATK / 1800 DEF)
Ruby was now drooling, Cyber Dragon was already cool but now it was also part weapon?!
Penny helped Ruby clean the drool off her while Aqua took a step back form the little red chibi.
"With his effect I can take out one monster with a higher ATK or DEF than Cyber Laser Dragon's ATK once per turn." Jekyll informed as Brenna gasped.
"So go Cyber Laser Dragon, take out those Harpie Lady Sisters!" Jekyll commanded as the trio of Harpies were obliterated by the mechanical dragon's laser.
"Now Cyber Laser Dragon, attack Harpie Lady 1!" Jekyll told his monster as it fired a shot at Brenna's last monster and destroyed it.
Brenna LP: 4000 - 600 = 3400 LP
"Now I'll place 2 face-downs and end my turn."
Turn 3
Brenna LP: 3400 VS Jekyll LP: 4000
Brenna hand: 1+1 VS Jekyll hand: 0
"I draw." Brenna said.
"I activate Graceful Charity! Now I'm sure you know what it does but for the new kids watching I'll explain." She said as she gestured to the chibis before continuing. "I can draw 3 cards from my deck then discard 2." She said as she did the action.
"I summon Harpie Channeler!" She said as a girl with orange hair and wings similar to the other Harpie Ladies, except her wings were purple, appeared. She wore a white dress.
Harpie Channeler
(LV: 4 / WIND / [Winged-Beast/Effect] / 1400 ATK / 1300 DEF)
"Harpie Channeler is also treated as 'Harpie Lady' while on the field so Harpies' Hunting Ground's effect kicks in and I can destroy a spell or trap on your field. So I choose the one on the left." Brenna stated.
"Well I'll activate it before it's destroyed because it's Jar of Greed!" Jekyll said as the card flipped up to reveal a trap with the image of a red jar with a toothy grin.
"What does that do?" Ruby asked.
"Basically he gets to draw 1 card from it." Aqua said as Jekyll drew.
"Now with Harpie Channeler's effect I can discard a 'Harpie' card form my hand to special summon a 'Harpie' monster from my deck in Defense Mode." Brenna informed.
"I bring out Harpie's Pet Dragon!" Brenna said as a red dragon with a collar and chain around it's neck appeared.
Harpie's Pet Dragon
(LV: 7 / WIND / [Dragon/Effect] / 2000 ATK / 2500 DEF)
"When a Dragon monster is on my field Harpie's Channeler becomes Level 7 as well." Brenna added.
"2 Level 7 monsters..." Jekyll mumbled as he realized. "Then that means..."
"I overlay my two Level 7 monsters to build the Overlay Network!" Brenna said as both her monsters turned into green energy and flew into the vortex that appeared on her field.
"I Xyz summon! Rank 7, Raidraptor - Arsenal Falcon!" Brenna declared as a monster that appeared to be some sort of giant mechanical falcon that also appeared to be like an air carrier. It was circled by two purple orbs of light.

"I activate his effect and release an Overlay Unit to bring out one of my Level 4 Winged Beasts from my deck." She said as something shout out of Arsenal falcon and landed on Brenna's field, revealing it to be another harpie, this one had long flowing green hair tied in a pony tail while having white wings.
"Say hello to Harpie Queen." Brenna said.

Harpie Queen: 1900 ATK + 200 ATK = 2100 ATK
1200 DEF + 200 DEF = 1400 DEF
"You know what that means, I'll take out your last face-down." Brenna said wind began to pick up.
"Well you'll be disappointed because I activate it and it's a second jar of greed!" Jekyll told her as he activated the face down.
Brenna scoffed. "Well then I'll just take out you're Cyber Laser Dragon with Arsenal Falcon." She said as Arsenal Falcon destroyed Jekyll's Monster.
Jekyll LP: 4000 - 300 = 3700 LP
"Now Harpie Queen attack directly!" Brenna commanded as Harpie Queen slashed Jekyll with her claws.
Jekyll LP: 3700 - 2100 = 1600 LP
Jekyll clutched his chest and took a step back from the pain.
"Jekyll!" Penny and Aqua cried concerned.
Jekyll grunted in pain and got back up.
"Unlike Felix I don't take foolish risks and give the enemy a chance to get a comeback from a gamble, however his misfortune is my fortune since I learned from his lost. I activate my spell Prohibition!" Brenna stated as Jekyll gasped and his eye's widened. "From your reaction I take it you know full well what this card does?" Brenna smirked.
Jekyll just narrowed his eyes.
"Oh that's not good." Aqua muttered.
"Why? What does it do?" Ruby asked and Penny also looked at her.
"If used properly it can effectively shut down a deck. Prohibition let's her declare 1 card and Jekyll can't use that card so long as Prohibition is out, meaning if there's an ace monster or certain card Jekyll needs, she can effectively make sure it never comes to play." Aqua explained with a worried look.
Penny looked on concerned since she had a pretty good idea as to which card she was going to choose.
"I'll choose the one whose been helping you win these duels lately, Cyber Huntress: Penny Polendina!" Brenna declared as Jekyll grit his teeth.
Ruby looked at Penny. "Wait, YOU are a part of this game?" Ruby asked surprised.
Penny nodded. "Correct, I've been able to help Jekyll against a couple of his opponents, like this woman's associate." Penny told her.
Brenna then ended her turn.
Turn 4
Brenna LP: 3400 VS Jekyll LP: 1600
Brenna hand: 0 VS Jekyll hand: 2+1
"I draw." Jekyll said.
"I activate the spell Overload Fusion and banish Cyber Dragon, Cyber Dragon Vier and Cyber Laser Dragon to fusion summon my Chimeratech Overdragon!" He said as the three aforementioned monster appeared on the field to enter a swirling blue vortex to form a new machine. This one had a snake-like body that ended with a blunt area with several hatches, 3 hatches opened up for 3 serpent-like heads to appear.
Chimeratech Overdragon
(LV: 9 / DARK / [Machine/Fusion/Effect] / ? ATK / ? DEF)
"Huh? Why doesn't it what say it's ATK and DEF are?" Penny asked.
"Chimeratech's special ability, something you'll seen in a second." Aqua said. Being around Jekyll for a while ahs shown her the capabilities of many of his machines.
"Since I used three monsters to fusion summon him he gets a total of 2400 ATK." Jekyll said.
Chimeratech Overdragon: 800 (3x) = 2400 ATK
"Now I activate Limiter Removal!" Jekyll said as Chimeratech's power doubled.
Chimeratech Overdragon: 2400 ATK (2x) = 4800 ATK
"Now Chimeratech, destroy Arsenal Falcon!" Jekyll said as the three heads of his mechanical monster started charging a blast and fired at the Xyz monster.
Brenna LP: 3400 - 2100 = 1300 LP
"Now Chimeratech, finish this by taking out or Harpie Queen!" Jekyll said as his monster onliterated the harpie.
Brenna LP: 2100 - 2700 = 0 LP
Duel Over
Winner: Jekyll Giada
"Way to go Jekyll!" Aqua cheered.
Brenna scowled. "Jekyll Giada." She said, catching the other's attention. "You seem to be more capable than I thought. Luckier as well, being able to draw the cards that could help you. But it matters not, I will learn from my mistakes in this duel and make it so it does not happen when we meet again."
"Hold on a second we've got some questions for you!" Aqua said as she moved towards Brenna. However the humanoid Grimm was surrounded by a dark cloud and many black feathers before disappearing. The only thing left being a single feather.
"...Uh, does anyone mind explaining, THE HELL?!" Jekyll exclaimed at seeing Brenna disappear like that, the last guy used a smoke bomb. He also thought something to himself. 'I feel like it would've been through Ruby's card or my new Cyber End Dragon that I would've won, it honestly felt like the day was building up for it. Eh, probably nothing.'
"So can you explain to me what is going, like with the chibi's and whoever that was?" Aqua asked.
Jekyll just sighed knowing it was going to be a long day.
