Jekyll was seen in his bed tossing and turning.
Jekyll's dream
Jekyll had his duel disk out with Jinzo out on the field. His opponent was covered by shadows and only his silhouette could be seen, the same went for his monster, it was a large bulky humanoid.
"Jinzo take out that monster!" Jekyll commanded.
Jinzo charged up a ball of energy and fired it at the mysterious monster, creating an explosion. However when the smoke cleared it was still standing there.
"What?!" Jekyll exclaimed.
"You are a skilled duelist indeed, but neither you, nor the huntresses will stop me." The figure said.
"Go destroy Jinzo!" He said as his monster threw a punched at Jinzo and destroyed him.
"Now my monster, exterminate him!" The figure commanded as the monster raised it's fist and swung it at Jekyll.
Jekyll braced himself when he heard a voice.
"JEKYLL GIADA YOU GET UP RIGHT NOW!"
Reality
"AH!" Jekyll screamed as his arm shot out and punched Weiss who screamed in his ear.
"OW!" She cried. "What was that for?!" She exclaimed.
"Sorry, but your the one who screamed at the top your into my ear!" He said as he put his hand up to his ear.
"Well You were sleeping off when we need to get ready, the boat leaves in a few hours!" She said. Today was the day they were supposed to go to the city.
"Oh yeah. Fine, just go wait outside while I get ready." He said as Weiss stomped out of the room.
Jekyll got up as he thought about that dream. 'The hell was that? Maybe it was because of all those duels from the other day?'
He then had another thought. 'Wait a second, how did Weiss get in here?' Something he was gonna have to look into later.
Later...
Jekyll, Aqua, and the huntresses have just arrived on the main land and entered the city.
"I can't believe you stayed in the room the entire time." Ruby said.
"I can't believe you were afraid to go near the edge of the boat." Weiss said.
"Hey, Aqua may be a fan of the ocean but I am not. There no way I'm risking falling over the edge to shark infested, watery death." Jekyll stated with a huff.
"Oh come on, it's not that bad." Aqua said.
"That's what you keep saying when you try to convince me to eat fish." Jekyll said.
"It's good." She argued.
"I hate fish." He stated.
"Fine, suite yourself. But your missing out." She said.
"So, where are we gonna stay while we're here?" Penny asked.
"My parents own a house near the beach here that they rarely use, they let me use it when I'm on vacation and let me bring friends like Jekyll to stay in the guest room." Aqua said.
"You guys go on ahead, I've got some stuff to do." Jekyll said as he walked off.
"Where are you going?" Aqua asked.
"I've been thinking about changing things up so I'm gonna check out the card shops to get a new deck." He said.
"Ok, just be careful!" Aqua said as he left.
"Will he be fine?" Penny asked.
"Yeah, he knows where the house is and it's not too far from here. Plus he always carries something to protect him in case something happens in the city." Aqua said.
"Now, do you guys wanna go explore for a bit before we go to the house?" She asked.
"Yes!" Ruby exclaimed.
"It would be a good chance to look for our friends." Weiss said.
Meanwhile...
In another part of the city Alex and Jaune are seen walking down the sidewalk.
"So where would you say is the best place to find your friends?" Alex asked.
"Hmm..." Jaune hummed, thinking about where the would find them.
"I'm not sure where we would find Pyrrha, but I know Ren would probably be with Nora and she would probably where ever there's pancakes or sloths." Jaune said.
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Pancakes and sloths?" He asked.
Before Jaune could say anything they heard a lot of ruckus coming from around the corner and suddenly a small chibi with orange hair carrying a stack pancakes run out of the alley and straight towards Alex and crash into him.
"Ow." He groaned.
"Nora!" said another chibi with dark hair with a pink streak in it tied into a pony tail as he caught up to Nora.
"Nora! Ren!" Jaune exclaimed.
Nora looked up and saw Jaune. "Fearless Leader!" She exclaimed while giving him a bone crushing hug.
"Glad to see you guys are safe." He said strained.
"It's good to see you too." Ren said with a smile.
"Mind introducing me?" Alex groaned as he got up off the ground and grabbed one of the pancakes Nora dropped off his head.
"Right, Nora, Ren, meet Alex. He's a new friend who helped me out when I first got here." Jaune introduced.
"Nice to meet you." Alex said.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well." Ren greeted.
"Any friend of Fearless Leader is a friend of mine!" Nora said cheerily.
"How sweet." A voice said sarcastically
They turn to see a woman with pale skin, black hair that was braided into a pony tail that looks like a scorpion's tail that turned blonde at the end, and yellow eyes. She was wearing a black leather jacket with a white T-shirt, black pants, and black combat boots.
"Who are you?" Alex asked.
"You can call me Muerta, and I'm here for those pipsqueaks. But since you already found them it looks like we're gonna have to duel." She said.
"Duel?" Ren and Nora questioned.
"Fine by me." Alex said as the both readied their duel disks and drew 5 cards.
"Are they playing a card game?" Ren asked.
"It's how they settle things here. I know it may seem weird at first, but trust me, it's awesome." Jaune said.
"Lets duel!" Both Muerta and Alex declared.
Turn 1
Alex LP: 4000 VS Muerta LP: 4000
Alex hand: 5 VS Muerta hand: 5
"Ill start this off." Muerta said.
She looked at her hand and frowned. '4 monsters and they're all too high level.' She thought.
"I'll activate Hand Destruction!" She said as both she and Alex discarded 2 card and drew 2 new ones.
"Now I'll set a monster and a face down and call it a turn." She said.
Turn 2
Alex LP: 4000 VS Muerta LP: 4000
Alex hand: 5+1 VS Muerta hand: 2
"I'll draw." Alex declared.
"I'll summon Heroic Challenger - Thousand Blades (1300 ATK / 1100 DEF)!" Alex said as Thousand blades appeared on the field.
Nora and Ren were surprised by what they just saw.
"Did he just summon a warrior out of nowhere?" Ren asked surprised.
"Yep, that's how this game works." Jaune said.
"OH MY GOSH THAT'S AMAZING!" Nora exclaimed excitedly.
"Now, since all I have on my field is my Thousand Blades, I'll special summon this Doggy Diver!" Alex said as a black bipedal dog wearing diving gear appeared.

"Aw, it's adorable!" Nora gushed.
"Now I activate Thousand Blades' effect and ditch one 'Heroic' card to special summon Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword (1000 ATK / 1000 DEF)!" Alex said as Extra Sword appeared.
Jaune immediately knew what he was planning.
"Get ready cause here comes something that's really amazing!" Jaune said to his 2 teammates.
"I overlay my 3 Level 4 monsters to Xyz Summon!" Alex said as the three monsters turned into streaks of energy.
"I Xyz summon Heroic Champion - Kusanagi!" He announced as a samurai-like monster wearing red and orange armor wielding a sword made of fire appeared.

Ren and Nora were awestruck. From how the monster was summoned to the monster itself.
"That. Was. AMAZING!" Nora screamed.
"And that's only the beginning. Because Extra Sword's effect gives him a boost."
Heroic Champion Kusanagi: 2500 ATK + 1000 ATK = 3500 ATK
"Now Kusanagi take out her face down monster!" Alex said as Kusanagi charged at the face down monster which revealed itself to be a monster in dark armor that somewhat mad it look like an insect.
Steelswarm Gatekeeper
(LV: 4 / DARK / [Fiend/Effect] / 1500 ATK / 1900 DEF)
Kusanagi swing it's weapon and destroyed the monster.
"I'll set 2 cards face-down and end my turn." Alex said.
Turn 3

Alex hand: 1 VS Muerta hand: 2+1
"My turn." Muerta said as she drew.
"I activate monster reborn to bring back my Steelswarm Gatekeeper!" She said as Gatekeeper reappeared.
"Now I'll tribute him to summon Steelswarm Girastag!" She said as Gatekeeper disappeared and a large monster with black and orange insect-like armor, a blaster for a right arm, and a tail appeared.

"How'd you summon a Level 7 monster with one tribute?" Alex asked.
Muerta smirked "Girastag only needs one tribute if the monster I sacrificed was a Steelswarm monster."
"Now thanks to his effect, I can get rid of one card you control and gain 1000 LP!" She added as Kusanagi was destroyed.
Muerta LP: 4000 + 1000 = 5000 LP
"Now it's time for me to attack. Go Girastag! take out his life points directly!" She said as Girastag charged at Alex and punched him.
Alex LP: 4000 - 2600 = 1400 LP
"I activate Thousand Blades' secondary effect! Since I took battle damage I can summon him from the graveyard!" He said as Thousand Blades appeared again.
"I end my turn." Muerta declared.
Turn 4
Alex LP: 1400 VS Muerta LP: 4000
Alex hand: 1+1 VS Muerta hand: 1
"I draw." Alex said as he looked over his cards.
"Hey Nora, want to help me take these guys down?" Alex asked.
"Let's break some legs!" Nora said happily.
"First, I'll use my Xyz Reborn trap to bring back Kusanagi and give it to him as an Overlay Unit." Alex said as Kusanagi reappeared. (2500 ATK / 2400 DEF)
"Now I'll tribute Thousand Blades to summon JNPR Soul: Nora Valkyrie!" He said as Thousand Blades disappeared and Nora leaped into the fray.

(LV: 5 / LIGHT / [Warrior/Effect] / 2000 ATK / 0 DEF)
"Now I activate my Monster Reborn!" Alex said.
"What are you gonna do with Thousand Blades?" Muerta asked.
"Who said I was bringing back him?" Alex said and Muerta's eyes shot open.
"Did forget Monster Reborn works with a target in either graveyard?" Alex asked rhetorically.
"So I'll target your Level 5 Steelswarm Mantis!" He said as a monster in black and blue armor with arms similar to a mantis appeared.
"Now I'll overlay them to Xyz summon! Rank 5, Thunder Huntress: Nora Valkyrie!" Alex said as both monsters turned into stream of energy and entered a galaxy-like vortex that appeared on Jekyll's field before Nora in her normal size appeared, circled by 2 orbs of light.

"I'm here to break legs and eat pancakes! And I need Ren to make me more pancakes!" Nora said while Ren sighed at her antics.
"...Did you just parody Duke Nukem?" Alex asked.
"Who?" JNR asked.
Alex opened his mouth to say something before closing it. "You know what? I'll just tell you later." He said.
"Anyways," He said, continuing his turn. "Since he's in my graveyard I can get rid of an Overlay Unit from an Xyz monster I control to special summon JNPR Soul: Lie Ren!" Alex said as one of the orbs of light circling Nora disappeared.
JNPR Soul: Lie Ren
(LV: 4 / WATER / [Warrior/Effect] / 1600 ATK / 1400 DEF)
"Wait, how could I be in the graveyard if I was standing here throughout the duel?" Ren asked.
Alex just shrugged. "Maybe you weren't really connected to the card yet?" He suggested unsurely.
Ren merely accepted it for now as there were more pressing tasks at hand before leaping on to the field.
"Now, whenever JNPR Soul: Lie Ren is summoned, I can banish one spell or trap from my graveyard to special summon a Level 4 or lower monster from my graveyard." Alex informed.
"So welcome back Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword!" Alex announced as Extra Sword appeared once more.
"Now I overlay them to Xyz summon Rank 4 Heroic Huntsman: Lie Ren!" Alex stated as Ren and Extra Sword turned into blue and brownish orange stream of energy respectively before entering a vortex and out of the Vortex came out Ren in his normal size wielding Stormflower with 2 blue orbs of light.

"And just in case you were planning on using that face-down, sorry to burst your bubble but when JNPR Soul: Lie Ren was used for the Xyz summon of a 'Huntsmen' or 'Huntress' monster, all 'Huntsman' and 'Huntress' monsters are unaffected by spell and trap effects so long as that Xyz summoned monster is on the field." Alex informed as Muerta grit her teeth.
"Nora! Take out Girastag!" Alex said as Nora grinned and charged at Girastag with a battle cry.
She used her hammer to smash Girastag's leg, knocking him over before smashing his head, as well as the rest of him, to pieces.
Muerta LP: 5000 - 300 = 4700 LP
"Now Ren, attack her!" Alex said as Ren nodded and ran towards Muerta.
"Not so fast! I activate my face-down, Infestation Ripples, to bring back a monster from my graveyard!" Muerta declared.
"No you don't." Alex said.
"Huh?"
"Did you forget about Kusanagi?" Alex asked as Muerta realized her mistake.
"Crap!"
"By banishing the overlay unit he has I can negate your trap and give him an extra 500 ATK!" Alex said as Kusanagi sliced through her trap before nodding to Ren who ran past him.

Ren went up to Muerta and delivered a palm strike to her gut.
Muerta LP: 4700 - 3400 = 1300 LP
"Now to finish this off, Kusanagi will attack!" Alex declared as Kusanagi swung his sword at Muerta.
Muerta LP: 1300 - 3000 = 0 LP
Duel over
Winner: Alex Steel
"We did it!" Nora cheered at the top of her lungs as she leapt into the air.
Suddenly, Nora started sparking with electricity and Ren started getting surrounded by lotus petals before what looked like Nora getting struck by lightning and returning to chibi form as the lotus petals surrounding Ren disappeared and revealed him as a chibi as well.
"Well, that just happened." Alex said with slightly wide eyes before turning to where Muerta was.
"Uh, guys. Where did she go?" Alex asked and they all turned to see that Muerta has disappeared.
"As concerning as that is, perhaps one of you could explain what is going on?" Ren said.
Alex and Jaune looked at each other, knowing this was gonna take a while.
A few hours later...
At a rather large house by the shore we can see Jekyll in a bedroom opening card packs, as he opened one of the packs he heard what sounded similar to a roar.
He looked around for a moment to see if someone else was there to not find anything.
He shook his head. "Man, those duels are messing with me. I should REALLY get some sleep." He said to himself before looking at the card he drew in the pack. It was a large black and green mechanical dragon with a serpent-like body and several spikes coming out of it.
"Cracking Dragon." He read.
A/N: I recently started watching VRAINS and to be honest, I kind of like it, now I still don't really like a majority of Link monsters and I probably won't include them in this story but I might try giving certain monsters another chance. I also love the Knights of Hanoi, probably my favorite villain faction of Yu-Gi-Oh so far, partially cause I like how they have different duel decks and styles and actually feel like people instead of copy and pasted generic cannon fodder like the Obelisk Force.
Also I have a few new ideas for stories:
1) RWBY Duel Links, basically a story of RWBY characters in the VRAINS/Duel Links world. I'm not sure what the story of it should be, maybe something similar to VRAINS, maybe just some random lighthearted story of RWBY characters having duels, I'm not sure. I also might include Link monsters if I feel like it.
2) As some of you know I made a story where the cast of RWBY and RvB watch random stuff and in the latest chapter I had them react to the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh GX. I was thinking of making a seperate story where teams RWBY, JNPR, and maybe other characters react to the full thing but I'm worried about some random guy complaining and reporting for some copyright stuff. Also for those of you who read that story and also read this one you to know what chapters I plan next for it: RvB "The Triplets".
3) RWBY Number Hunters: Basically an alternate story where instead of the adventures going on at duel academy the have to deal with numbers causing trouble throughout the city. Both stories will have numbers but the roles of numbers will be significantly different in that story than this one. debating whether to keep Teams RWBY, JNPR and Penny as cards or as possible actual duelists in this one though. The characters will stay relatively the same (might alter a bit througout the story) but the decks might be slightly different.
4) Maybe the cast of RWBY reacting to this 'cause why not?
5) Maybe something with another franchise like Bakugan. Might reuse some characters though, and before you ask why do I keep using the same characters, I have 2 reasons. The first being I really like these characters, and second being I just tend to have trouble coming up with new and unique characters.
What do you guys think? Do these stories sound like good ideas? What should I do with them? Let me know.
Also one last thing, should I allow Link monsters in this story? Because I've been skeptical about it, and if I did use link monsters I feel like Jekyll would probably use the Rokket and Borrel Archetypes cause those are the ones that would fit him the best if he did use Link monsters.
