When it became after dark, Marty and Ally gave Doc the directions to where the Delorean was hidden. It was still behind the Lyon Estates sign where they had left it. Parking by the sign, the siblings got out with flashlights.
"Something's up with the starter. So we hid it here," Ally explained, jogging towards the Delorean. Doc followed behind them just as the siblings uncovered the Delorean from the stray branches and moss.
Doc was shocked when he saw the time-traveling car. "After I fell off my toilet, I drew this," Doc said, holding out a piece of paper with a drawing of the flux capacitor on it. Marty and Ally looked at each other for a minute.
"The flux capacitor…" Marty says. He then opened the door and Ally turned it on so the flux capacitor glowed brightly in the car. The siblings look back at Doc, whose eyes lit up in anticipation. "It works!" he said ecstatically, kneeling down in by the car.
"Haha! It works!" Doc exclaimed happily. He turns and grabs the teens. "I finally invent something that works!" he said. "You bet your sweet ass it works," Marty mumbled. Doc looked back at the Delorean for a moment.
"We gotta get this back to my lab. We've gotta get both of you home!" Doc exclaimed, still hanging onto them.
(Back at Doc's lab)
The trip managed to get the Delorean back to the lab. Marty got the recorder out of the car and hooked it up to the TV so they could show what Marty had recorded in the parking lot. "Okay, Doc this is it," Marty said.
It was static for a moment before the picture came through. Marty rewound the tape to the part minutes before Doc was shot down. Doc smiled as his eyes lit up in astonishment.
"Why, that's me! Look at me! I'm an old man! Thank god I've still got my hair! What in the world is that I'm wearing?" Doc asked. "Oh, this is a radiation suit," Ally said, pointing at the screen. Doc was amazed and replied, "Radiation suit? Ah, probably from all the nuclear wars,"
He stands up and picks up the video camcorder, inspecting it closely. "This is amazing. A portable television studio! No wonder your president has to be an actor, he has to look good on television.
"Wait, Doc, here's the part," Marty said. Doc looked back at the tv, his full attention on the screen. "This sucker is electrical and I need 1.21 gigawatts to recreate the reaction." Future Doc said in the video.
"What did I just say?" Doc asked quickly. Marty rewound the tape to what Future Doc was saying. "This sucker is electrical and I need 1.21 gigawatts to recreate the reaction." Future Doc repeated. Past Doc suddenly backed up in surprise with widened eyes. "1.21 gigawatts! 1.21 gigawatts! Great Scott!" he exclaimed, stepping back to the garage door.
He then takes off towards the mansion in a hurry with the siblings on his heels. "Wait! What the hell is a gigawatt?!" Marty asked in confusion. Neither one of them understood why he was freaking out about that.
"How could I have been so careless? 1.21 gigawatts of power!" Doc questioned in disbelief, "Tom, how can I generate that kind of power? It can't be done, can it?" He picked up a picture of Thomas Eddison from the side table. Then, the siblings rush in there to meet up with Doc.
"Doc, look, all we need is a little plutonium to get the time machine going," Marty said. Ally knew that being in the fifties meant that they were short on luck with plutonium since Doc from the future stole the Plutonium. So getting it wouldn't be easy.
"Marty, do you kep forgetting we're not in the 80's? We can't get Plutonium from any store since I'm pretty sure we can't get it so easily." Ally said, shaking her head. Doc quickly stood up and nodded at the fifteen-year-old girl's response, "She's right, Marty. It's a little hard to come by! I'm sorry, you two, but I'm afraid you're stuck here!"
Marty's heart dropped when Doc said this as did Ally's. They couldn't be stuck in 1955! "Wait, Doc! We can't be stuck here! We both got a life in 1985!" Marty blurts out, sitting down on the arm of a chair with a leg propped up.
"Yeah, Doc. He's got a girlfriend. And I've got my music," Ally added, standing next to her brother with her hands on her hips. "Is she pretty?" Doc said, leaning forward. "Doc, she's beautiful. Take a look at this. This says it all. She's crazy about me," Marty said, taking out the flyer with Jennifer's number written on the back of it.
"Not to mention, Marty's got a band. I usually help him with the music for him," Ally said, putting a hand on Marty's shoulder. It was true that she does write her own music, mostly for Marty for his band. "You see, Doc? you're our only hope." Marty said. They both got up and walked from Doc.
Doc only shook his head sympathetically, "I'm sorry, kids. But the only possibility of generating 1.21 gigawatts of power is through a bolt of lightening." The siblings stop in their tracks. "Huh? What'd you say? A bolt of lightening?" Ally asked, turning back around.
"Yes. But unfortunately, you don't know when or where it's gonna strike!" Doc answered. Marty got what Ally was thinking and walked back over to Doc. "We do now," Marty said, holding up the flyer again.
Doc took the flyer from Marty's hand and looked it over. His eyes grew big and he jumped up from his chair. "This is it! It says here that a bolt of lightening will strike the clock tower next Saturday night!" Doc said, turning back towards the siblings.
"If we could somehow harness this lightening, channel it into the flux cacpacitor, it might work. Night Saturday night, we're sending you two back to the future!" Doc exclaimed, pointing towards the wall.
Marty and Ally jumped up and skipped to Doc, both now estatic. "Alright! Saturday's good! Saturday's good! We can spend a week in 1955! We can hang out, you can show us around-" Marty said, but was cut off quickly.
"Marty, that's completely out of the question! You two can't speak to anyone or intervene with anything because it could have serious reprecautions on future events! Do you two understand?" Doc responded, making change of plans. "Now you tell us…" Ally said under her breath.
"Yeah , we understand," Marty said for the both of them. Doc then shoots the siblings a look. "Now, have either of you interacted with anyone else besides me?" Doc asked.
Ally sucked air through her clenched teeth nervously. 'Should've seen that coming…' Ally thought. "Well, we might've ran into our parents." Marty said rather sheepishly. Ally shot a look at him, "Might've? We did earlier today,"
"Great Scott! Let me that picture of your brother again!" Doc said, sounding rather concerned. Ally did what Doc asked and gave him the picture. He held it under a lamp. "Just as I feared. This proves my theory, look at your brother!" Doc added.
Ally and Marty were shocked when they saw that David's head was gone from the picture. "His head's gone," Marty said, a bit surprised. "Like it's been erased," Ally added, dounding a bit startled herself. Doc looked up with wide eyes, "Erased… from existence…"
