(At the High School)
They make it to the high school the next day, but they had to dress as they lived in this era. Marty wore a button-up with a red and tan jacket with grey slacks, his hair was greased back some. Ally didn't want to wear a dress, it wasn't her style. So she wore a white shirt with a blue checkered jacket and some shorts that were below the knees.
When they make it, they both saw that the school was cleaned and was brand new-looking. There weren't any scrapes or graffiti on the walls. "Whoa, look at this place. They really cleaned this place up." Marty said, partly joking. "Yeah, it definitely looks better," Ally agreed.
Doc walked up to the siblings and started explaining their situation. They walked up to the school. "Now, if my calculations are correct, you interfaced with your parents' first meeting. That's why your brother is disappearing from that picture. Your sister will be next, then you, then Ally." Doc explained.
"Wow, this is heavy," Marty commented. "Weight has nothing to do with it," Doc said, sounding a bit confused. Ally turned to face Doc, "Doc, he means that this is a lot to take in," Doc nodded and the three headed inside the school.
The hallway was crowded with students and teachers since it was in between classes. Marty and Ally blended right in; no one was none the wiser that they weren't from the past. Doc looked at us and asked, "Which one is your pop?"
Ally and Marty see George coming down the hall, other students kicking him in the ass. "That's him," Marty said slightly embarrassed. Ally rubbed her face in embarrassment because George had a 'kick me' sign taped his back.
"Maybe you two were adopted," Doc commented, trying to make them feel better. "Trust me, we wish too," Ally commented. Then, Strickland comes over to George, takes off the paper from George's back, then calls him a slacker.
"Marty, look. It's Strickland. Man, was he always bald?" Ally said, raising an eyebrow. "Looks like it," Marty added. Doc was disbelief that George was their father.
"What did your mother ever see in that kid?" Doc asked in disbelief. Marty shook his head, "We don't know, Doc. I guess she felt sorry for him when our grandpa hit him with the car," Ally's eyes widened in realization. George wasn't the one to get run over this time.
"Wait, Marty, he hit you with the car," Ally said. Marty rubbed the back of his head where the bruise was. "That's the Florence Nightingale effect. It's when nurses fall in love with their patients." Doc said, "Get to it, you two."
The siblings go over to their father, who had dropped the stuff that he was carrying. "George, hey, buddy. We have been looking for you everywhere. Remember me, the guy who saved your life. This is my sister, Ally." Marty said, helping George up.
"Y-Yeah," George nodded. "Well, George. There's someone we'd like you to meet," Ally said, giving him his shoulder bag back to him. The siblings see their mother at the end of the hallway with some friends. "Hey, Lorraine," Ally called.
Lorraine spun around at the sound of Ally's voice and saw the siblings. "Calvin! Cyndi!" Lorraine dreamily said, backing up into the lockers. "We like you to meet our friend here, George Mcfly." Marty said, trying to be pleasant as possible. "It's nice to meet you," George said, holding out his hand. However, Lorraine didn't pay any attention to George.
She walked toward Marty, all starry-eyed. "How's your head?" she asked, reaching for Marty's head. He pulled back and answered, "I'm fine," "Oh, I've been so worried since you two ran off the other night." Lorraine asked. However, the school bell rang before Marty could answer.
"Oh, I gotta go," Lorraine said, running off with her friends and passed Doc, who was wide-eyed as he realized what was going on. "Oh, isn't he a dreamboat?" Lorraine said. Ally heard this too, and her stomach lurched in disgust. Doc walked back over to the teens.
"Doc, she didn't even look at him," Marty said in disappointment. Ally looked up at her brother, "Marty, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Mom's got the hots for you instead of Dad," "Precisely, as I said before it often happens with nurses and their patients. Marty rubbed the back of his head and said, "This is heavy."
Doc perks up again and turns towards them, "There's that word again, heavy. Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there something wrong with the earth's gravitational pull?"
Ally nods and joked, "Yeah, sure, let's go with that," The three start walking down the hallway. "Okay, we've got to figure out how to get those two to successfully mate. They need to be alone together. There has to be some social event that they can go to," Doc said. "Are you meaning like a date?" Ally asked, furrowing a brow.
"Precisely," Doc replied. "But, what do teens do in the 50's?" Marty asked, feeling a bit clueless. "Well, they're y'all's parents. Both of you must know them by now. What are their common interests? What do they like to do together?" Doc asked.
"Nothing," Marty said. Doc then points out a poster that's hanging on the wall, "Look, there's some sort of ritual coming up," Ally and Marty both see the poster. Ally exclaims, "Of course! The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance! Marty, remember they're supposed to go to this!" "Yeah, they're supposed to go together! That's where they kiss for the first time!" Marty replied ecstatically.
"Alright, kids, you stick to your father like glue and make sure that he takes her to that dance," Doc instructed. "Right, c'mon, Ally," Marty said. "Right behind ya, loverboy," Ally joked, following behind him. Marty shot her a look before facing forward again.
(In the Cafeteria)
The siblings found George sitting alone at a table, writing something down on paper. They both sat down in front of him. Marty had taken off his jacket while Ally kept hers on. "George, buddy," Marty greeted as they sat down in front of him. Ally crossed her arms on the table and looked at what George was writing.
"Whatcha writing there?" she asked, perking up. George half-smiled at them and said, "Stories. Science fiction stories, about visitors coming down to earth from other planets," Needless to say, both siblings were impressed that their father was writing stories. All their life, they never actually paid attention to their father's creative side, if he ever had one.
"Get out of town. We didn't know you did anything creative." Marty said, giving a half-smile. "Yeah, sounds cool. Let us read some?" Ally asked, reaching forward. However, George pulled the papers away from the siblings quickly. "Oh, no, no, no. I never- I never let anyone read my stories," Goerge said, shaking his head.
"How come?" Marty asked, crossing his bare arms on the table. "What if they didn't like what I wrote? What if they tell me I was no good? Guess that's hard for anyone to understand," George said, continuing to write. Marty sighed and looked around for a moment.
He tapped the book to get George's attention. "So anyway, George, about Lorraine. She's got the hots for you," Marty said. "Yeah, George, she even told us that she's hoping you'd ask you to the dance this Saturday." Ally nodded with a grin.
George's face fell and he shook his head, "What? You mean right here and now in the cafeteria? What if she said no? I just don't think I couldn't. Besides, I think she'd rather go with someone else,"
Ally leaned forward and asked, "Uh, who?" George raised his hand and pointed passed them and answered, "Biff," The siblings spin around to where George was pointing at. They were shocked to see that Biff was trying to force Lorraine to kiss him.
"C'mon," Biff said, pulling on her arm. Lorraine was trying to wiggle free. "Leave me alone!" she shouted. Marty and Ally grew angry and both stood up from their chairs. "You know you want me to give it to you," Biff teased. Nobody had the guts to stand up to Biff because he was clearly harassing her.
"Shut your filthy mouth! I'm not that kind of girl!" Lorraine shouted, slapping Biff across the face. He grabbed her arm again, more tightly this time. "Well, maybe you are, you just don't know it yet," Biff said, leaning close to her. "Get your meat hooks off of me!" Lorraine shouted, struggling to get loose. He didn't listen.
Ally, having enough of this, stormed up to him. Marty followed behind her. "Hey! You deaf or something? She said get your meat hooks… off." Ally said, realizing she was in trouble when Biff stood up. He was taller than her, way taller. "So, what's it to you, you little brat?" he said, using both hands to push Ally to the floor.
Marty got in front of his sister, glaring at Biff. "Leave her alone," Marty warned. Ally stands up and dusts herself off. "That's okay, Marty. He's only pissed because he got told off by a girl." Ally said, showing off her smart-ass attitude. "Why you little-" Biff snarled, completely offended. Her remark got the cafeteria laughing, much to his dismay.
"You've been looking for a fight-!" Biff shouted, grabbing Marty by the shirt. Marty grabbed him by the shirt and both were about to punch each other. That was until Mr. Strickland came in, crossing his arms. Biff looked up and gave a chuckle.
"Look, both of you are new here, so I'll cut you two a break. Today. So, why don't you make like a tree, and get out of here." Biff said before walking away. Before either could speak, they both saw that George had left the table he was sitting at.
