The siblings make their way back to Doc's place and saw that he was messing around with the camcorder. On the way there, they figured that they should tell him about what happened. He should know about them. He kept rewinding the part just as the terrorists had found him.
"Doc?" Marty said, getting Doc's attention. Doc looked behind him and saw the siblings. "Oh, Marty, Ally, I didn't hear you two come in. What a fascinating device, this is," Doc said, observing the camcorder. He then walks to the Delorean.
"Doc, listen, there's something Marty and I didn't tell you about the night we made that tape," Ally said. "Ally, don't tell me, I shouldn't know too much about my future," Doc said, working on the Delorean, which had this large hook attached to the back of it.
"Doc, you don't understand," Marty started. Doc got in front of them, "No, if I know too much about my own future. If I do, I could endanger my own existance, just as the two of you have endangered yours," Doc interrupted, making a good point.
He then walked over to the center of the room and in the middle was a full scale model of the town square. "Let me show you two my plan of sending you two home. Please excise the crudity of this model, I didn't have time to paint it, or build it to scale," Doc apologized.
"It's good," Marty said. "Oh, thank you, thank you. Okay, now, we run some industrial-electrical cable from the top of the clocktower down to spreading it over the between the two lamp posts. We out0fitted the vehicle with this big pole and it runs directly into the flux-capacitor. At the calculated moment, you start driving toward the cable accelerating to 88 mph. The lightning will strike the clocktower, sending 1.21 gigawatts in the flux-capacitor and sending the two of you back to 1985!" Doc elaborated.
Ally and Marty were paying close attention to the plan. It was full-proof. Doc then hands Marty the toy car that was in the model. "You wind up the car, I'll simulate the lightning," Doc said, holding two jumper cables to two nails after putting a pair of goggles on.
"Ready, set, release!" Doc said. Marty released the wind-up car, letting it roll down the makeshift road. The hook on the toy car hits the wire, causing it to explode and catch on fire. "Whoa!" the siblings exclaimed, jumping backwards.
The car drove off the side of the table, driving right into a mop that was leaning against the wall. The mop catches on fire, causing Doc to loudly gasp. Doc steps over the fallen piece of debris and grabbed the fire extinguisher, and started putting the fire out.
"Wow, you're giving us a lot of confidence, Doc," Marty said. "Not to worry, I'll take care of the lightning. The two of you just take care of your pop." Doc replied, putting the fire out. He then turns to the two of them, lifting his goggles off his eyes. "What happened today, did he ask her out?" Doc asked.
"Um… well-" Marty stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck. They werer going to say that it was going well until Biff got in the way and chaos ensued. But there was a knock on the door, getting all of their attention.
"Who's that?" Ally asked. Doc went to the door and peeked behind the curtain. He suddenly turned around with wide eyes. "It's y'all's mom! She's tracked you two down! Quick, cover the Delorean!" The three cover the Delorean as fast as they could with a grey colored tarp. When the car was covered, Doc goes to open the door. Lorraine walks in, holding her books close to her chest. "Hi, C-Marty. Ally," Lorraine said, looking at the siblings.
"How'd you find us, Lorraine?" Ally asked. "Oh, I followed you guys," Lorraine answered. 'That's not creepy at all,' Ally thought, rubbing the back of her neck uncomfortably. Lorraine looks up at Doc, wondering who he was.
"Oh, this is our Doc- I mean Uncle Doc," Marty introduced. Doc looked over at Marty, eyebrows narrowed in confusion. "Yeah, he's our uncle," Ally said, playing along.
"Hi," Lorraine said. "Hello," Doc replied, hands on his hips. Marty backs up close to the car, Ally following close behind him. "Um, Marty, this may seem a little… forward, but, I was wondering if you could ask me to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance on Saturday?" Lorraine asked shyly.
Marty glanced back at his sister for a minute before looking backat their mother. "Oh, you mean no one's asked you out yet?" Marty asked, leaning against the car. "No," Lorraine said, walking around the car.
"How about George Mcfly?" Ally suggested, crossing her arms atop the car. "George Mcfly? Well, he's kinda cute and all, but I think a man should be should be strong enough to stand up for themselves and to protect the people he loves," Lorraine says, giving Marty the flirtatious eye, walking closer to him.
Doc looked as uncomfortable as the siblings felt. "Don't you two think?" Lorraine finished. Marty looked at Ally and Doc, who gave him the same expression. "Uh, yeah," Marty says, rubbing the back of his head.
