Back at the square, 1955 Doc was helping the other Marty and Ally get back to 1985. He slid down the wire and quickly attaches the two wires that detached. The other Delorean quickly disappears back to 1985, much to 1955 Doc's surprise.
He cheered and ran down the pair of fire trails that the Delorean left behind. The present Marty and Ally came sprinting around the corner and came towards Doc. Doc walked to his Packard and doesn't see them.
"Doc! Doc! Doc!" Marty shouted, grabbing Doc by the shoulders to turn him around. "What?" Doc said, turning around to face them. He lets out a scream when he sees the siblings standing in front of him.
"Ghosts!" he shouted, knees weak. "Doc, relax! It's us, Marty and Ally!" Doc was still frightened by this, "No! It can't be the two of you! I just sent you two back to the future!" "Oh, yes, you did, Doc. But, we're back. We're back from the future," Ally said, staring straight at Doc, trying make Doc see what was happening.
Doc's face turns white and he says, "Great Scott!" Afterward, he faints and falls on his back. The siblings stand over him. Marty shook him by the shoulders.
"He's out cold, Ally," Marty sighed. "Ah, that's great," Ally replied, rolling her eyes.
Marty and Ally pick him up and drag him to the Packard. They drive towards Doc's mansion. It had begun to pour down rain again by the time they reached his house. While Marty carried Doc inside, Ally held open the door so her brother could get Doc inside the house before shutting and locking it behind them.
They hung Doc's letter from 1885 by the fireplace, which had a lit fire in it. The trio had their shoes off and dried by the fireplace. Marty had lounged on one of the living chairs, using the hoverboard as a footrest, fast asleep. Ally was curled up in the other living chair, her knees pulled up to her chest, asleep also. Doc was asleep on the couch.
Suddenly, Doc's tv turned itself on and a tv service resumes. "Hey, kids, what time is it?" the announcer said. "Howdy Doody Time!" a bunch of kids exclaimed happily.
Doc gasps awake and sits up with a start, eyes wide. "Great Scott!" he exclaimed, standing up from the couch. He walked over to the tv, knocking the hoverboard out from Marty's bare feet. "Howdy Doody time?" he said, shutting the TV off.
Afterward, he picks up his tape recorder that was sitting on the table behind the living chairs. He begins to talk into it, "Date, Sunday, November 13, 1955, 7:01 AM. Last night's time-traveling experiment was a complete success. Lightning struck the clock tower at precisely 10:04 PM, sending the necessary 1.21 gigawatts into the time vehicle, which vanished into a bright flash of light, leaving a pair of fire trails behind. I, therefore, assumed that Marty, Ally, and the time vehicle were transported forward to the year 1985,"
By this time, Marty had started to wake up. He stretched his bare arms since he wasn't wearing that leather jacket and hat anymore. Ally wasn't wearing her coat anymore and lost her hat.
Marty walks over and helps Ally to her feet, who was just starting to wake up.
"After that... After that... I can't recall what happened. I don't even remember how I got home! Perhaps the gigawatts discharge coupled with the temporal displacement field degenerated by this time vehicle caused a disruption of my brain waves resulting in a condition of temporary amnesia. Indeed I recall the moments after the time vehicle disappeared... into the future... I saw a vision of Marty and Ally saying, "We've come back from the future..." But that can't be possible," Doc finished.
"Hey, Doc?" Marty said, waving his hand. Ally walked up behind her brother. Doc turns around and sees the siblings stand behind him. The minute he saw them and screams, tripping over the hoverboard as he tried to get away from them. He fell against the organ, sitting on the keys. Discordant music comes from the organ.
"Doc! Calm down, it's us! Marty and Ally!" Marty said, walking up to Doc. "No! It can't be you two! I sent you both back to the future!" Doc exclaimed, still petrified that the siblings were here in front of him.
"We know, Doc! But we told you this last night! Don't you remember? Marty and I brought you home after you fainted," Ally said. "This can't be happening! You two cannot be here! It doesn't make sense! I don't believe that you two are here!" Doc shouted as he retreated to the bathroom, slamming the door, leaving the siblings outside.
Marty and Ally run to the bathroom just as Doc shut the door. "Doc, we're here and it does make sense! We came back to 1955 with the you from 1985 to get a book back from Biff. So once we got the book back, the you from 1985 were in the Delorean when it got struck by lightning and you got sent back to 1885!" Marty explained quickly, trying to make sense of this situation.
"1885?!" Doc shouted from the other side of the bathroom door. He opened the door and stared at the siblings, who stared back at him. "It's a very interesting story, you two. But there is something that doesn't make sense. If me from the future is now in the past, how could you two possibly know about it?" Doc questioned.
"Easy. You sent us a letter," Ally said, quickly holding up the papers in front of Doc.
