Chapter 124: An intense brawl
Deku confronted Overhaul before sternly demanding him to give Baby Eri to him, causing Overhaul to take out a gun and pointed at the unfazed Deku as his friends gets defensive. Deku then that he knew that Overhaul is the one who killed Eri's mother along with her father. Eri then starts cooing as Overhaul turn to leave. However, Lemillion, Power, and Phaser uses their quirk to attack Overhaul and grab Eri before handing her to Deku, who then hold her tight as Overhaul look at the Peanut Gallery. Overhaul then say that the kids will regret barging into his organization just to make him angry.
Overhaul take off his gloves before attacking the kids by reassembling the floor into spikes to crush the kids and Eri. The kids then became shocked as Octoboy told Deku to run with Eri, causing Deku to run as he quickly dodges spikes that keep appearing out of the ground before monologuing that just holding Eri made him very protective of her, just like with Shenji and Nelson, who are not babies anymore. Suddenly, he encountered Shin and Rikiya, who somehow escapes the police and pro heroes and ran back inside to protect Overhaul. Deku then warn his teammates about the two remaining bullets' presence, causing them to get frustrated as Nejire Chan, Uravity, and Froppy decided to help Deku protect Eri, who is now crying. Overhaul then gets an idea and told Shin to run over to him, causing Shin to leave Rikiya to deal with the girls by himself as they start attacking while Deku comforts a still crying Eri. Overhaul then merged himself with Shin before rushing toward Deku to steal Eri back. however, Shoto and Frozen attacked him before Bullfrogger pins him down. Soon, the girls manage to defeat Rikiya, causing Deku to say good job to everyone before telling them to make sure the villains don't escape. Suddenly, Eri's horn starts glowing, which confused the Peanut Gallery and the U.A. League, who just came in until it sparks lightning that caused Overhaul and Shin to separate themselves much to everyone's shock as Eri began wailing until a blast send everyone but Deku flying until Eraserhead stops her with his quirk.
After Deku calmed Baby Eri down, the heroes start speculating what was that about while Shoto and his family make sure that the villains are handcuffed until Overhaul had enough and destroyed the building before sending everyone away by reassembling the floor into ejecting traps. Soon, the U.A. League made sure the kids are alright as Rikiya, Shin and Overhaul talk about a strategy to kill the heroes and get away with Eri until they get an idea. Deku then tries to get something in his bag until Nejire and Mei ran to him to whisper an idea to him, causing All Might to tell the villains that they made one big mistake, and that is messing with the Peanut Gallery, especially the highly intelligent genius Deku, causing Overhaul to become furious until Rikiya and Shin gets his attention to watch Nejire Chan and Mei becoming giants, making Overhaul more furious. Overhaul then angrily ask the giant girls if they dare challenge him, causing the girls to glare at him before saying yes as Deku makes a run for it with Baby Eri still in his arms.
