Chapter 145: Deku's pride
Izu gives his friends a serious glare before using smokescreen to use dash attack, but he's soon outsmarted by his teammates as Katsuki, Tenya, and Eijiro reminded him how close they were, causing a flashback montage of what Izu and his friends been through together from meeting their arch nemeses in Chapter 7 to participating in a war that ends in Chapter 118. Izu then takes a breather and told them that this is something he must do for himself before using double team. However, his friends, specifically class b knows where he is and made Pony use thunder horn to attack, causing Izu to try to dodge before getting mad and hesitates to hurt pony. Pony then charged at Izu with Togaru on her back, causing Izu to fly into the air until Tsu grabbed him with her tongue. Tsu, Toru, Ochaco, and Momo then told Izu that they admitted having a crush on him before reminding him the things he done for them for the past six years, which caused another flashback montage of things Izu has done, including him giving an inspiring speech before the first fight with the Devil Brats and stuff throughout the five-year time skip. Izu then became prideful in his belief and told everyone to just leave him alone before starting to cry. Soon, the big 3 attack Izu, causing him to desperately use full cowling and Fa Jin combined, but got outsmarted again as Nejire gets rid of the one for all projectiles before blasting Izu straight into a building. Tamaki then remind Izu that they know all of his moves because of the training they've been through, causing one last flashback montage of the training the league been through including ones between the five-year time skip. Izu then briefly break down before giving everyone a frightening death glare before launching himself at them as he desperately asks his friends why they won't just let him do things by himself, causing Mei to capture him with her net. Everyone then watches Izu desperately trying to escape and prepared themselves in case he does while their siblings and parents watched from afar with most of them with worried expression. The siblings then decided to help them but got stopped by their parents as All Might say that they already did their part to end Izu's midlife crisis, now it's their turn.
Meanwhile, Izu stops struggling when Ochaco hugged him tight and calmed him down before mumbling "I love you" to him, causing Izu to gives Ochaco and everyone else an emotional look before teleporting himself out of the net to start flying away with tears in his eyes. He then smacked right into Shoto's ice as he tells him that they can be heroes together before Tsu makes a speech similar to the one Izu made before the first fight with the devil Brats, causing Izu to cry more as he tell everyone to just leave him alone. Shoto then gets serious and told Izu what the predecessors of one for all say to them about how everything was the Warcraft of Doom's doing. However, Izu wasn't listening because he kept hearing the same criticism in his head until he blasts himself out of the ice screaming leave me alone, causing Minora and Ochaco to chase him down to convince him to let them help him face the Warcraft of Doom. Izu then ignored his friends and kept flying toward the Warcraft of Doom's hideout, causing his friends to combine their quirks together and launched Pony after him, which also caused Izu to beg her to let go of him or else he'll never be a strong hero everyone wants him to be. Pony then told Izu that he is a strong hero because she knows nothing can stop him from doing what's right to keep everybody happy, and the right thing they need to do now is to foil Hatsume's plan to jeopardize their team. Izuku then cry briefly until he saw something on the ground and landed with Pony beside him to get confronted by Hatsume, who is slow clapping and chuckling evilly before greeting Izu and say that it's a good thing that he always has a backup plan.
Pony then chewed Hatsume out for trying to break their team apart by pretending to be civilians that criticized Izu for being weak, defenseless, and a simple kid who recklessly does things without thinking. However, Izu calmly stopped her and say this is his moment to prove to them, whether the criticism was real or not, he's going to face Hatsume in a one-on-one fight, which caused Hatsume to laugh evilly as his comrades come out to see what's happening before activating Octopack's robot arms to lift him off the ground to attack Izu much to Pony and everyone else's worrisome. Izu then try to use one for all to fight Hatsume, but Hatsume keeps outsmarting him as he blasts him with a laser gun, causing Izu to try using double team to fight, but Hatsume immediately knew where he is and send him flying with a robot arm. Soon, Hatsume use a machine to pull Izu to him before sadistically chewing him out for his weakness and predictableness before saying that this is what makes him a simple kid, causing Izu to breaks down and yell that he's not a simple kid before Hatsume pretended to give Izu sympathy by calling him a poor simple boy. Hatsume then finished the fight by sending his comrades to beat him senseless until Izu friends can't take it anymore and chase the villains away into the hideout, causing the hideout itself to become a giant robot and flew off before becoming invisible. Everyone then walk up to a severely beaten Izu as he cries his eyes out until he looks at his friends before looking back to ask if they were watching the whole time until he got ambushed. After the league say yes, and say yes when Izu reminded them that he did tell them that he wants them to leave him alone, so he'll prove himself as a hero, Izuku himself began yelling at his friends to leave him as he breaks down and cry just in time as the parents and siblings came to see what's happening. Soon, Izu look back at his friends and family with a broken face before asking them to help him, which caused Katsuki to pat on his back before saying that's what friends are for, causing Izu to realize what his rebellious phase would have cost him. Mina then pick Izu up and told him that they should go home so they can be a family again, causing Izu to smile as he cries tears of joy before nodding. After a group hug, All Might told the kids to go get to bed so they can be able to investigate Hatsume's scheme in the morning, causing the kids to say right before Izu gets carried by Mina as she lead everyone to their agency so they can go to bed.
