Chapter 173: Kacchan gets brainwashed
Gadget snapped his fingers so Trollbert can bring out Kacchan, who has been brainwashed, causing Deku to get furious as he asks the villains what they did with Kacchan with Froppy and Mystery holding him back. A flashback then begins when the Warcraft of Doom are on their way to get Giant Sugar Plum Fairy out of her fight with Rewinder as Kacchan gets kidnapped and got held as hostage, causing his comrades to chase the Warcraft of Doom's Warcraft Mobile. While Dabi and Bruisetanist deal the pursuers, Toga uses the hypno-watch to brainwash Kacchan and make him part of their organization. After the flashback ends, Gadget told the heroes about his vision of what the world should really be like, which is a world without rules and everyone do whatever they want. Deku and Froppy then look at each other before Froppy chew Gadget out for wanting the world to be in total chaos, and not only that, without rules, everyone will be reckless when using their quirks, which will potentially kill themselves. However, Gadget didn't care before telling Kacchan to show the U.A. League how dangerous he is now, causing Kacchan to say yes master before launching himself to attack Deku while Gadget and his comrades went back to the Warcraft Mobile to give the other teachers of Warcraft Academy the status report.
Deku quickly dodges Kacchan's attack before telling the senior league to take the cadets back to Heights Alliance Apartments while he and his team get Kacchan back to his senses. Cellophane then grab Kacchan with her tape before Red Riot try to get him to remember the good times they have until Kacchan break out of the tape and listen to Gooey on his microphone as he told him to smash, crush, pound, and destroy his friends. The junior league then tries to subdue Kacchan until Deku told the siblings to go after the Warcraft of Doom, causing them to locate the Warcraft Mobile before heading straight toward it, which also cause the brats except Sugar Plum, who us still fuming about her fight with Rewinder, to get their teachers attention so they can start the vehicle.
The villains quickly flew above Kacchan and told him to get on, which caused Kacchan himself to get on as his friends desperately try to catch the Warcraft of Doom, with Deku looking devastated as he remembers being the closest with Kacchan as a flashback montage of them from the first day of kindergarten to moving into Heights Apartments. Meanwhile, the rest of the junior league try using their quirks to stop the villains until Gadget gets annoy and told Spinner to activate warp drive, which caused him to press a button that makes the vehicle move faster than the speed of sound, with Froppy hanging on with her tongue until she loses her grip and began falling before Deku catches her. Deku then told Spiral and Waver to report this to the senior league before telling everyone else to find a way to break the force field that protects Warcraft City from getting raided by heroes. Meanwhile, the villains celebrated their success until Hatsume set off to check on Tomura's surgery before smiling to see that it's going well. He then laughs evilly afterwards.
