Chapter 2 – Netflix and Chill

Annabeth woke up around 6 in the morning. Usually, she wakes up around 5 30, and do some studies, but today, even though she heard the alarm, she didn't wake up at 5 30. She was tired, and the pain on her shoulder was more intense than yesterday. So, she kept laying on the bed with her eyes closed. But around 6 in the morning, Piper walked into her room waking her up.

Usually, they travel to the campus together by Piper's car. They usually leave around 7 30. You can say that Piper is from a rich family. Her dad is a popular movie star, but he doesn't have enough time to spend with her. He bought the apartment for Piper near the university and also a car for her. Annabeth is friends with Piper for a long time. So, she invited Annabeth to live with her, as they both go to the same university.

"Annabeth are you still asleep?" asked Piper walking into Annabeth's room.

Annabeth didn't open her eyes.

"Hey, it's 6 now. You are usually up by now. How's your shoulder?"

"Hurting," Annabeth muttered.

"Hmm, let me get ready and make some breakfast for both of us. Then I'll come back to you and wake you up again. Sleep for another 30 minutes, ok?" Piper said touching her arm. Annabeth nodded her head.

Piper left her room. Annabeth was awake now, but her shoulder was hurting badly. She went through her schedule of the day in her mind. Her test is at 2 in the afternoon. In the morning, she has the ancient architecture lecture. She has already self-studied that module completely, so missing that won't affect her.

Finally, she decided to stay home and only attend to the test. She thought perhaps her shoulder will be a bit better by the afternoon. She stood up from the bed and walked to the bathroom. After washing her face and brushing her teeth, she entered the kitchen. Piper was already dressed and was preparing some sandwiches for them.

"Hey, good morning. How are you feeling," Piper greeted.

"Good morning. Just tired,"

"How's your shoulder?" Piper asked with concern.

"It hurts. I decided to stay home today."

"Don't you have a test today?"

"Yeah, in the afternoon. I'll only participate for that,"

"Ok. Should I come back for pick you up?"

"No, it's ok. Thank you. I'll give you a call if I need you," Annabeth said with a smile.

"What classes do you have in the morning? I can ask the notes from Malcom,"

"It's alright. I have already self-studied those modules,"

"Of course, you have," Piper teased Annabeth.

Piper sat on the chair beside Annabeth and offered her a plate with sandwiches.

"So, are you going to tell me about the boy who dropped you last night?" Piper asked.

"How do you know it was a boy?"

Piper just gave her a look, asking really.

"He saw me getting injured and helped me after that," Annabeth answered.

"Is he from our university?"

"No. He comes to the sports complex for swimming,"

"So, the hoodie?" Piper asked smirking.

"Oh," Annabeth blushed. "He gave his hoodie because it was chilly last night,"

Then she realized that she has forgotten to give back the hoodie to Percy.

"It must be really comfortable. You haven't taken it off since last night," Piper teased more.

"Yeah," the word escaped Annabeth's mouth unwillingly. Piper laughed at her.

As they have finished the breakfast, Piper stood up and took both of their plates and put them in the dishwasher.

"I might be late to be back today," Piper said grabbing his backpack.

"Date night with Jason," Annabeth said smiling. Piper blushed a little.

"Yeah, he is taking me out for dinner," she said.

"Have fun you two," Annabeth said smiling.

"Thanks. Call me if you need me, ok? I feel a bit uneasy to leave you alone like this," she said wit concern.

"Don't worry I'm fine. I will call you if I need you. Now go otherwise you will be late,"

"See you later Annabeth, bye," Piper said stepping out of the front door.

"Bye," Annabeth waited at the door until Piper was out of her sight.

They had started dating about 3 months ago. Piper had a crush on him for a long time. Jason also liked her. But none of them made the first move. With lot of convincing from Annabeth and Reyna, who is Jason's best friend, Jason finally asked her out.

Jason is a very disciplined guy. He is the captain of the football team. He has led the university team to the victory in numerous games. He is a natural leader. Everyone listens to him. He knows to figure out the talents of individuals and put them into good use under his guidance in the team. Aside from his leadership qualities, he is one of the most talented players of all time of our university history. He is also in the university debate team. He has a vast knowledge of government, society and politics. He can easily get the attention of a crowd with his calm but striking voice, which is always on point in delivering facts. With all these extracurricular activities, he has managed to maintain a GPA above 4.0. Also, he is the kind of guy who stick to the rules thoroughly. Piper fell hard for his talents, personality and of course for his good looks. Tall fit figure, blonde hair, blue eyes. He checked all the things Piper expected from a guy.

Also, Piper is not slacking. She is one of the most beautiful girls in the university, definitely the most naturally beautiful one. She has started it as a hobby, but now she has built a small fashion line under her name. More than 20 celebrities have contacted with her for her designs, and Piper's designs made them shine brightly in red carpet invents. She is also not slacking in academics, as she has maintained a GPA above 3.8 throughout the years.

So, when these two talented, popular individuals started to date each other, they have easily become the power couple of the university. They love each other. Even though Jason is quite shy to show affection in public, Piper is not. She always kisses Jason, snuggles into him every chance she gets, and Jason loves it. They are talented, independent, and they love each other, cares for each other, they show their affection to each other, so they are basically the couple goals among the university students.

Closing the door, Annabeth entered her room. She turned on her PC and opened the project she was working on these days. She decided to work until noon, so her mind will be on the work, not on her painful shoulder. Before starting the work, she looked at her phone.

Percy – Good morning!

Percy has messaged her in the morning, but she hasn't seen it.

Percy – Are you still asleep?

Percy – How's your shoulder?

Percy – I hope you are ok. I can't give you a call because if you are still asleep, I might wake you up.

Annabeth smiled warmly at his thoughtfulness and concern.

Annabeth – Good morning!

Annabeth – Sorry I just saw your massage.

Annabeth – I decided to stay home today without participating for the lectures. Shoulder is still painful. I will attend to my test afternoon.

Annabeth started to work on her project. But within few minutes she got a reply from Percy.

Percy – Oh ok. It might be more painful than yesterday.

Annabeth – Yeah

Percy – At what time your test starts?

Annabeth – 2 in the afternoon

Percy – Ends at?

Annabeth – 3 30

Percy – My lectures will be over at 3. I will pick you up.

Annabeth – You don't have to

Percy - I know I don't have to. But I want to.

Percy – Only if it's ok with you.

Annabeth smiled at his message.

Annabeth – ok then

Percy – Great! I will meet you at your parking lot. See you later.

Annabeth - Bye

Annabeth put the phone away and continued working on her project. She stopped her work at 12. She went to the bathroom and slipped out of her clothes she was wearing since last night. Standing under the shower, she washed herself. With one towel on her hair and another wrapped around her body, she walked into the kitchen first. Piper has made some extra sandwiches for her, so she ate them and had a glass of milk after that. After the quick lunch, she went to her room to get prepared.

She slipped into a simple pare of black panties and a pair of gray colored cargo shorts which is very comfortable. She knew she still couldn't wear a bra with his bruised shoulder. Getting her belongings, she left the apartment and started to walk towards the university. Just before 2 pm, she was able to enter the classroom. Test papers were handed over to them at exactly 2, and Annabeth started to answer them with ease. She completed the paper few minutes pass 3, and then she rechecked her answers. After that, she closed her answer sheet and put it aside. She was thinking about Percy until their answer sheets were collected.

As she was walking through the hallways, she met Piper and Jason.

"Hi guys," she said to them.

"Hey Annabeth," Jason greeted her.

"I see, you are still wearing his hoodie," Piper teased. Annabeth playfully glared at her.

"His hoodie?" asked Jason.

"I'll tell you later about Annabeth's crush," she said giving a wink.

"He is just a friend," Annabeth said still glaring. "I have to go now,"

"Are you walking back to the apartment? I can drop you and come back," Jason offered.

"Oh no it's ok. Umm…, yeah, I can walk back to the apartment. I like walking," Annabeth said not meeting their eyes.

"Annabeth, is he picking you up? Is he here?" Piper asked with excitement.

"No! I have to go now. See you later. Have fun on your date guys," Annabeth said quickly walking away from them.

"Annabeth! He is here, isn't he? You cannot just run away! You need to introduce us!" Piper yelled back at Annabeth.

"Common Pipes, she will introduce him when she is ready," Jason said smiling, while holding back Piper.

Annabeth easily spotted the white Prius and walked towards it. Seeing her, Percy got off from the car.

"Hey Annabeth,"

"Hey, how long have you been waiting?"

"Just a couple of minutes," he said smiling and opening the door for Annabeth.

"Still the gentlemen I see," she said smiling. Percy winked at her.

"You look really good in my hoodie," he said smiling.

"You saw me like this yesterday,"

"It was dark. Now in daylight, you look really cute," he said. Annabeth stuck her tongue at him.

"How's the test," Percy asked while driving.

"Easy," Annabeth replied simply.

"Wow, that is a reply which will never come out of my mouth," he said laughing. Annabeth also laughed with him.

"So, how's the shoulder?"

"It was hurting bad in the morning. But now I think it's getting better," Annabeth said.

"It will be fine by tomorrow. Do you think you can compete tomorrow?"

"No,"

"It's better to be cautious rather than getting injured again," Percy said.

"What are you doing after dropping me? Do you have any plans?" Annabeth asked with a bit of hesitation.

"I have no plans," he said smiling.

"You can come in and hang out with me if you want to," she said without meeting his eyes.

"I would love to,"

Percy parked the car and both of them got off. Percy opened the back door and grabbed quite a big bag from the back seat.

"What's it?" Annabeth asked while opening the door of their apartment.

"Oh, it's just some food for you," Percy said scratching the back of his head.

"Food? For me?" Annabeth asked as Percy put the bag on a table. Annabeth opened the bag and saw few packets of chips, candy, some apples and a big chocolate.

"Really? When did you buy these?" Annabeth asked laughing.

"In the afternoon,"

"So, you were planning to visit me," Annabeth asked smirking.

Percy just smiled nervously.

"Thank you," Annabeth said giving a quick peck on Percy's cheek, which made both of them blush.

"Let's watch a movie. We can watch it in the living room, or in my room. What do you like?" Annabeth asked.

"You have a tv in your room?"

"Yeah," Annabeth said smiling. "My room it is then. Come on. Grab some snacks please," Annabeth said leading them to her room while Percy followed her.

"Settle in the bed," she said to Percy. "What to you want to watch?" she asked browsing through the Netflix movies.

"Have you seen The Army of the Dead?" Percy asked.

"Isn't that the new zombie movie?" she asked.

"Yeah, we can watch it if you are ok with it,"

Annabeth selected the said movie and tossed the remote to Percy, who was now sitting on the left edge of the bed. Then Annabeth slipped out of his hoodie and placed it on the chair.

"Whoa! You were wearing that under my hoodie this whole time?" Percy asked looking at her body.

"Yeah, this was the only thing I could put on without hurting myself,"

"Oh,"

"It's good that you had my hoodie with you," he said looking at her exposed cleavage.

"So, you are not participating on your competition tomorrow?" he asked from her.

"No, I am skipping it. When does your competition starts?"

"Around 2 in the afternoon,"

"Do you need a cheer girl for you?" Annabeth asked smiling.

"Really? You will come to see me?" Percy asked really exited.

"Why not? Why are you so excited to hear that?" she asked chuckling.

"Oh I would love for you to be there tomorrow," Percy said excitedly, lifting Annabeth from her hips and spinning her around.

"Put me down you stupid," Annabeth said laughing.

Percy put her on the floor and gave a big kiss on her lips. "You are the best Annabeth," he said grinning widely.

"Ok. I'll be there. And I think you must have a good sleep,"

"I had the best sleep earlier,"

"Yeah I know. But you need more. Go home and have a good night sleep. I'll see you tomorrow," she said.

Annabeth walked with him to the front door.

"I'll see you tomorrow then, good night!" Percy said at the door, ready to leave.

"I'm really excited about tomorrow," she said giving him a smile. "Have a good night sleep Percy!"

Annabeth put her arms around his neck and kissed his lips lovingly. Percy just melted into the kiss. They pulled away after few seconds.

"Bye," Annabeth said giving a quick peck and releasing him. He waved her bye and walked towards his car.
