When Buck woke up he was lying in the back of the ambulance, his sight caught the IV connected to him and he moved to try and pull it out but a firm grip on his wrist stopped him
"Leave it Buck" Hen said
"Why?" Buck said hurt
"I need it" Hen just said tired
"No I'm fine" Buck said
"You most certainly are not fine" Athena's voice came from somewhere in the ambulance. "You just had a heart attack because you haven't been eating and pressing your body to the limit" Athena said
"I had a what?" Buck said hurrified. "No I'm healthy" he said and tried to pull out the IV again, but Hen stopped him again
"One more time you try to pull that IV and I find the restraints" Hen threatened and Buck let go of the IV, not doubting Hen would make true on her threat and instead just told himself it didn't matter, that he was gonna run it of anyway later when the voices became to much to handle. "That's more like it" Hen said. When they reached the hospital Buck was surprised to see everyone there, but they were just doing their job he told himself, they didn't really care about him. Hen, Chimney and Athena followed him in, Hen and Chimney giving on all the information the hospital needed to treat him further
"Evan Buckley, 28 years old, reviewed at the scene after a heart attack. Unknown when he has last eaten, IV with nutrients and fluid given on scene and still running" Hen explained to the doctor
"Thank you, we'll take it from here" the doctor said. "Now Evan, how are you feeling?" the doctor asked politely, but Buck knew that was his job
"See you after shift Buck" Chimney called on his way out and left was just Athena, Buck and the doctor
"I'm feeling fine" Buck said and the doctor nodded, not believing a word the young man in front of him was telling Buck could tell
"Okay can you tell me why you haven't eaten today?" the doctor asked and Buck tensed up
"Guess I just wasn't hungry" Buck said, building up an invisible wall between him and the doctor
"Buck, honey, you have to be honest with the doctor" Athena said from beside him and Buck turned to look at her
"So Buck is it? Do you wanna try again and tell me why you haven't eaten today" the doctor asked
"Not really" Buck sulked
"That's okay we can come back to that. Tell me how does your chest feels right now, any pains or discomfort?" the doctor asked. Buck didn't wanna admit it but he was sure he had some broken ribs going from the pain he felt whenever he breathed
"I think we might have cracked a few ribs when doing chest compressions, I heard several cracks" Athena said in a teary voice from the other side of the room
"That's completely normal, we'll send him up for a few xrays and then admit him to the cardiac ward for monitoring. Is there anyone you would like me to contact for you Mr. Buckley?" the doctor asked him kindly, again Buck just said to himself that it was the man's job and that he really didn't care about him
"No" Buck said, not wanting to be a burden to his sister and knowing she would be mad and fuss over him if she knew what was going on, it was why he had tried to stay away from her as well
"Okay, feel better" the doctor said and left the room, now Buck was alone with Athena. Buck looked at Athena and could see she was crying
"Athena?" Buck asked with concern
"Oh Buck it was horrible, I couldn't just here every rib crack I could visibly see it to, and here you are just pretending everything is okay when it's not, you need help" Athena whispered and looked at him with tears in her eyes
"I'm sorry Athena" Buck said
