Chapter 16: Coming of the Silence, Part One

Tellu and Viluy appeared at the Takaishi and Yagami households respectively.

In a flash, the two Witches teleported in to search for their targets.

"Takeru, get out of here!" Patamon shouted, throwing himself at Tellu who was charging up an attack. "Boom Bubble!" he fired an air bullet at the Witch.

"Useless." Tellu sneered. "Earth Buster!" she blasted Patamon out of her way. "Now, be a good boy and hand over your Heart Crystal." she trapped Takeru in a web of vines and rested a hand on the boy's chest.

Takeru let out a pained scream as Tellu ripped his Heart Crystal from his body.

"Mission complete." Tellu grinned and vanished.

"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon's charged up punch knocked Viluy out of Hikari's bedroom window. "Hikari!" the Champion-level Digimon shouted.

"Right." the Bearer of Light nodded and produced her Digivice.

"Gatomon digivolve to..." Gatomon was bathed on a pillar of light. "Angewomon! Celestial Arrow!" Angewomon fired her light arrow at the still recovering Witch, the purifying power of the arrow destroying Viluy and turning her into black dust.

"Gatomon, you're alright!" Patamon flew into the demolished house. "We have trouble! It's Takeru!"

"Inform Yamato." Hikari instructed and she and Gatomon hurried over to the Takaishi household. "Everyone, we've got trouble." she informed the others.

In Takeru's room...

"He's still alive." Kido Joe confirmed.

"I can keep him alive." Pluto manifested before the two groups of DigiDestined.

"Who are you?" Koushiro turned to the Time Senshi in suspicion.

"Sailor Pluto." Yamato nodded in greeting.

"Yamato, you know her?" the Bearer of Knowledge inquired.

"She's... one of the Sailor Senshi." Yamato revealed.

"How would you..." Koushiro frowned. "Wait... Mizuno-san..." his brain started churning. "She's one of the Senshi." he guessed.

"Very smart." Pluto remarked. "Time Splitter!"

The DigiDestined looked on as Takeru was encased in a strange bubble that wobbled and shook like some sort of dense liquid.

"What did you do?" Yamato shot a glare at the Time Senshi.

"Yamato, wait." Koushiro had already taken out his laptop and analyzing the bubble. "Amazing... the time within the bubble is slowing down."

"In English please, Koushiro." Taichi remarked.

"In other words, the time inside the bubble is running slower than the time outside." Koushiro explained.

Moon looked at the three remaining Witches.

"What do you..."

"... want us to do?" The twins asked.

"Cyprine, Ptilol, go and attack the Senshi. Tellu, stay here, I can sense Uranus and Neptune are near the base as well. I will stay here and get Mercury."

The others nodded and Moon laughed, "soon... This world will be shrouded in darkness. And our race will be it's new owner."

The Senshi arrived at Mugen Gakuen and noticed the building was surrounded by a black energy barrier. "How original," Mars muttered.

"This barrier is way stronger than anything I've seen before." Mercury said as she analyzed it with her visor. "I don't think our attacks will be enough to break it down."

"What about digging under it?" Mars asked.

Mercury shook her head. "The barrier is a perfect sphere. There's no way in."

"Just great." Jupiter muttered.

Three figures materialized in mid-air in front of the barrier. The twins and Moon. "And it just got better." Venus muttered.

"It's a good thing you decided to come, Senshi." Moon said. "You've brought the last piece of the puzzle right into our hands."

"What do you mean?" Mercury asked.

"You'll find out soon enough." Moon said. She swiftly phased out and reappeared right besides Mercury, then zapped her out cold and vanished along with her.

"What the... she got Mercury!" Mars said.

"Damn... we must help her." Jupiter said.

"You're the ones..."

"... that need help." the twins said and floated down to the ground.

"I'll make you stop talking like that with my own hands." Mars snapped and charged at them.

"There's no way to get inside." Uranus said.

"Now what?" Neptune asked.

"Now I'll help you."

Both Senshi turned and saw Pluto standing there, looking at the barrier.

"Can you break this barrier down?" Uranus asked.

"No." Pluto replied. "But I can open a hole in it. You'll only have a few seconds to enter, though."

"Go ahead." Uranus stepped aside.

Pluto nodded, "Chronos Typhoon!" the attack opened a hole in the barrier and Uranus and Neptune dashed in before it closed. "I can't help you past this point." Pluto watched the two Outer Senshi charge in and vanished.

After a bit of exploring, Uranus and Neptune found the entrance to the Witches' lair. They were now walking through a corridor. "Good to see their defenses are all out there." Uranus commented.

Tellu appeared right in front of them and smirked. "Welcome, Senshi."

"I talked too soon." Uranus muttered.

"Earth Buster!"

The two Senshi dodged and charged at Tellu.

"Twin Buster!"

The Senshi leapt out of the way of the attack. "You know, that attack is not any use if you can't hit us," Mars teased.

"We know that, but..."

"... you can't hit us either."

"Burning Mandala!"

The twins swung their staves at the attack and it was absorbed by them.

"We need a plan." Jupiter muttered.

"Earth Buster!"

Neptune leapt aside dodging the attack. Uranus tried to kick Tellu but she blocked the kick and punched her away.

"Okay, let's try again." Uranus muttered and dashed at Tellu.

Ami opened her eyes and moaned. She could see Moon standing near her, she seemed to be busily operating some kind of computer console. She looked at herself and frowned. Her transformation was gone. But she just had to transform and surprise Moon before... her thoughts were stopped short when she noticed her transformation pen was gone.

Moon looked at her and smiled. "I see my guest finally woke up. Don't worry about your henshin wand, it's power will be put to good use."

"Give it back to me!" Ami demanded.

"Sorry but I can't do that. And I bet you're wondering about your boyfriend's little brother's heart crystal: it was full of energy."

"Takeru..." Ami gasped in horror.

"Giving up already?" Moon teased. "Not that it matters anymore. I have your henshin wand now, so nothing can stop me. It'll be the perfect battery for draining Planet Mercury's magic completely and opening the portal to my homeworld."

"It's the Daimon that's speaking, Usagi." Mercury tried to get Usagi back to her senses. "I know you're not eager to do this, Usagi."

"Little do I care about that." Moon snorted dismissively. "Her body's mine now, that blond boy's heart had enough energy to allow me to take full control of it."

"Even in the darkest hours, there's always a ray of hope left." Ami stood up.

"Words, nothing else." Moon scoffed. "You is out of power, the rest of the Senshi can't get in, and the portal is about to open. You are hopeless. Just a few more minutes and it'll all be over for you."

"Twin Buster!"

Once again, the Senshi scattered to dodge the attack. "This is boring. They shoot, we dodge. We shoot, they absorb it." Jupiter muttered.

"I'd think it's time for a change of tactics." Venus suggested. "Venus Crisis Power!"

"That might be just what we need to beat those two." Jupiter agreed.

"Let's do this!" Mars nodded. "Mars Crisis Power!"

"Jupiter Crisis Power!"

"What is..."

"happening?" The twins said confusedly.

"Ready to be defeated?" Mars asked.

"Your little upgrade..."

"... won't help you. You'll still..."

"... be destroyed, Senshi."

"Let's shut them up once and for all." Jupiter said.

"Not so..."

"... fast. Twin..."

"Mars..." A small ring of fire formed right in front of Mars as she concentrated. "Fire..." The ring slowly expanded into a vortex of fire as Mars opened her eyes "Tornado!" The vortex shot forwards and enveloped both Witches before they could release their attack, making them scream in pain.

"Jupiter... Stun..." Jupiter cocked her fist back as it became surrounded by electricity. She then punched forwards and shouted "Wave!" The electricity shot forwards in a dozen tendrils that hit the Witches, and they dropped to the ground.

"How can they..."

"... be this strong?"

The twins were sent crashing into the barrier, moaned and ceased to move. With the demise of the twins, the barrier also vanished.

"The barrier's gone. Let's get in there and find Ami." Mars said.

While the Senshi fought outside, two members of their group were fighting for their lives inside the enemy's base.

"Earth Buster!"

"World Shaking!"

Both attacks crashed. Uranus and Tellu glared at each other.

"You cannot win." Tellu sneered.

"Ditto." Uranus retorted.

"There must be a way to defeat her." Neptune looked at her partner.

"We've been in this power level for a long time." Uranus reminded. "I think it's time to power up." she closed her eyes and concentrated.

Neptune nodded and concentrated as well.

Tellu smirked, "Heh... giving up already, girls?"

"Not a chance in hell." Uranus snapped and opened her eyes. The sword-shaped talisman appeared in front of her. "But how..."

Neptune opened her eyes as well, and the mirror-shaped talisman appeared before her. "The talismans?"

"Oh, now I'm scared." Tellu mocked. "Earth Buster!"

Neptune grabbed the mirror and used it to reflect the attack right back at Tellu. "Indeed, you should be scared. Neptune Crisis Power!"

Uranus grabbed the sword and glared at Tellu, "Uranus Crisis Power!"

Tellu staggered up and scowled, "This can't be happening..."

Uranus and Neptune's suits become like Sailor Mercury's, but matching their old suits' colors. "You've caused us enough trouble."

"Now it's time to end this battle. Sailor Neptune..."

"And Sailor Uranus..."

"Will punish you!" the two Outer Senshi chorused in unison.

"Earth Buster!" Tellu shot her attack once again and waited.

"Uranus..." Uranus swung her sword in the air, causing a thick crescent-shaped blast of energy-charged air to shot forwards "... Space Sword Blast!"

"Neptune..." Neptune aimed her mirror's face at Tellu, and it started shining with a bluish glow "Submarine Reflection!" A wave of water and energy shot from the mirror.

Both attacks hit Tellu and she smashed through a wall. She never hit the ground as she vanished in mid-air.

"I'm exhausted." Neptune panted.

"We don't have time to rest." Uranus pulled the Ocean Senshi up. "We must stop Moon."

"I know." Neptune nodded and the two Senshi took off running down the corridor.

"What are you doing?" Moon demanded, when Ami started walking towards her. "I could kill you in one single shot now, you know?"

"What's stopping you?" Ami asked.

Moon frowned, "What do you mean? I can do it."

"If I'm useless now that I don't have my powers, why didn't you kill me yet?" Ami pressed. "Maybe it's a lie." she guessed. "There's a part of you that's still Usagi, and that's stopping you from killing me."

"Submarine Reflection!"

Moon staggered back then looked at her attacker. "What?"

Ami noticed Neptune and Uranus' new suits as well, "They're Crisis Senshi too?"

"Stop whatever you're doing, Sailor Moon." Uranus ordered.

"Or we'll have to stop you ourselves." Neptune added.

"You? Stop me? Dream on." Moon retorted and started gathering energy for an energy blast.

Suddenly, the ground started shaking.

"What's going on?" Ami tried to steady herself.

"Finally..." Moon grinned victoriously.

Usagi noticed the Mercury Star Power Stick dissolved into dust. "No..."

"You lost, Senshi." Moon bragged. "There's nothing you can do against my master."

"It's too late..." Neptune said.

"All this... for nothing?" Uranus muttered.

The Mercury Star Power Stick vanished, and a beam of blue energy shot up from the place it had been.
