The evacuation had been going just as scheduled; as night began to fall on the land, everyone within TerraSheild had gathered all the necessities they needed, before they gathered in the main area of TerraSheild. The men, women and children that had taken shelter were all anxious not to mention worried and scared as they couldn't help but express their own thoughts to one another.
It hadn't been long till Shiki spoke up to the crowd with the help of a megaphone.
"Everyone, please remain calm!" Shiki told them, "The last thing we want to do is panic in this situation! Now we all know Tau is a dangerous man, and we expected him to take drastic measures so he can get what he wants. This is why my wife had taken the last two years to make this plan. Our friends have secured an escape route, beneath the old mining tunnels!"
"How do we know if that's safe!?" One of them shouted.
"Those mines are unstable!" Another person had said.
There had been overlapping chatter, as everyone couldn't help but express their concerns once again.
"Everyone please, calm down!" Shiki said, "We're going to take every precaution needed! And if we hurry, we'll be in the other sanctuary by morning!"
Natsumi soon took the megaphone, "We're gonna be splitting into groups of twenty at a time! Each of us we'll escort you through the tunnel as quickly and carefully as possible!"
"Let's get moving people!" Shiki said, "And for God sake, don't shove! We're not savages!"
Despite the hesitation, everyone had seemed to have been in agreement, before they broke off into groups of twenty. A set of doors had opened on the floor as a tunnel had been revealed as a set of lights became lit.
"Come on!" One of the soldiers leading the first group said, "It's time to leave!"
Thus the first group started to move through the tunnels; those that had stayed had done whatever they could to keep everyone calm.
"Are you sure this is smart play?" Danuja had asked Shiki as she approached her side, "Tau is not only two steps ahead of anyone, but he is an unpredictable man."
"Don't worry-" Shiki reassured her, "-Kaiya is always fives steps ahead when it came to Tau. We've got everything covered."
"That may be so-" Yanlin said, "-But for everyone's sake that old mining tunnel will have to stay secure. Some of the materials in there are unstable, you know?"
"Like we said, we're gonna take precautions." She said, "You don't gotta worry yourself."
The rest of the group looked a bit uneasy-Not because they didn't think the plan wouldn't work, but rather, they were worried about something else entirely. Of course each of them couldn't help but worry about a certain girl they were here for. "Reina-chan and the others…" Ochaco said, "... Do you guys really think she'll be okay?"
"Don't worry guys-" Kazuho reassured them, "-Shiki had sent Ko-I mean Crawler not too long ago. He'll warn them about what's happened."
"But what if he doesn't make it?" Fubuki signed
"He will-If there's one thing I know about Crawler, he's a stubborn guy." Kazuho said before she mumbled, "I just hope he doesn't get his stupidhead killed."
"We should be out there too." Shoto said, "Reina is just on the other side of that tunnel."
"Believe you me I would like nothing more then to do that-" Bethany soon said, "-But the safety of everyone here comes first. If we don't make sure they're safe, then we won't forgive ourselves."
"Besides, our Quirks aren't exactly the best when we're in Nakagata." William said, "Which is why we need to be here, in case something happens."
Most of the group still looked uneasy about this sort of thing. "But Reina-kun-" Tenya said, "-She could be-"
"We trust her to stay safe." Natsumi said with a smile, "Besides, I think you guys know as well as we do that Reina-chan would want us to help people, like she would."
"I guess, but-" Eijirou said, "-I feel like we should still do something."
"Yeah, I mean we came all this way, the least we can do is just see if she's okay." Gio said, "And you know, back her up."
"We will, bon ami's-" Elechester said, "-Once we make sure everyone's safe, we'll go and get the young master."
"I guess that's about the only thing we can do." Michiko said with a sigh.
Just as the next group started to disperse into the tunnel, the young teens went to assist. Though right before they could do anything-
"GUYS! GUYS! GUYS!"
The group had been taken back as they saw Floyd had been rushing towards them; beside him had been Song and Yagi. "Aihara?" Danuja said shocked.
"Bossman?" Michiko said.
"EMERGENCY! WE GOT AN EMERGENCY!" Floyd shouted as his face had been written with nothing but distress. "Calm down my boy-" Elchester said, "-What's the matter?"
"It's Tau!" Floyd said.
"We know, we heard it from Shiki American." Hitoshi said as Floyd flinched, "Tell us something we don't know."
"NO wait! That's not all!" Floyd said. "Izu and Katsuki ran off. Plus Jaeger is over there too!"
The group looked shocked at this sort of thing; Yanlin, Elechester, Nian and Danuja especially at a certain name. "Deku and Bakugou-kun ran off?!" Ochaco said, "But why?!"
Floyd replied, "Why else!? They went to get to the vaporwave girl!"
Hitoshi could only click his tongue as he said, "Damn it."
"BRO, WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP THEM?!" Gio shouted as he started to shake him.
Floyd replied despite being shook rapidly, "IT WAS ALL HAPPENING SO FAST! BESIDES THAT PISS FOR BRAINS SCARES ME NOW!"
"Now he scares you?" Hitoshi asked
"SO YOU ADMIT DEFEAT FOR BAKUGOU?!" Gio shouted.
"NO AND HELL NO!" Floyd exclaimed. "I RATHER SHOVE A CACTUS UP MY ASS THAN ADMIT DEFEAT!"
"Gross.." Fubuki signed as she turned green.
"I don't even want to know where you got that idea." Shoto said.
"Aihara-" Yanlin said as his tone made Floyd flinch, "-That name-You just said Jaeger. Are you sure you heard that right?"
Floyd gulped before he replied, "Y-Yeah. Rizal told me."
Danuja, Elechester, Yanlin and even Nian had looked to another. "Jaeger-" Danuja said, "-He's still alive…"
"That son of a bitch-" Nian said, "-To think he's been alive here the whole time.
"And if he's alive, then that must mean-" Danuja said.
It hadn't been long before it soon hit them as they looked to one another, "NANAMI!" They shouted simultaneously.
"Nanami?" The group said they were confused.
"Wait a minute-" Ochaco said, "-You're not talking about THE Nanami?! The Pro Hero Hermes from America!"
"The youngest one ever to earn the top number 1 slot!?" Eijirou exclaimed.
"You guys know her too?" Natsumi said, before she shrugged, "That's no surprise. She is pretty famous."
"We heard from Kaiya that she came here to the Underworld's Hell to help everyone here." William said, "She came here around I a few months ago I believe."
"Is that true?" Tenya said, "A Pro Hero like her-"
"Oh yeah-" Bethany said before she had a smile on her face, "-And wait till you hear this-Turns out the number 1 Pro-Hero of America-Is Reina's older sister!"
The group froze for a second as they took a moment to process this. Floyd soon broke the silence, "I'm sorry-THE WHAT?! YOU MEAN-REINA-CHAN'S FAM IS JUST AS FAMOUS AS MINE?!"
"THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE CONCERNED ABOUT!?" Hitoshi exclaimed.
"NO FORGET THAT!" Michiko added. "Miss is related to a famous american superhero-AND ACTRESS!"
"That's what got your attention?" Shoto asked.
"SHE'S AN ACTRESS TOO!?" Floyd shouted before he started to pull on his hair and yell, "HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT!"
"I thought Reina-chan couldn't remember anything! How is that possible!?" Ochaco said.
"We don't know, she just told us it suddenly came back to her!" William said.
"Yeah-She just showed her a picture and then boom-It came back!" Kazuho added.
Floyd and Michiko flinched slightly at this as they each had a look of realization. "Wait, wait, wait, that's how she remembered she had a family to begin with!" Floyd said as he soon clicked for him, "She looked at a picture of her home!"
"No wait, bossman it's more then that!" Michiko said, "It wasn't just any picture, it was something significant to her! It was something only she could know, no memory or not!"
"What are you going on about?" The Collector asked while cleaning out her ears.
"That problem you guys were worried about-!" Floyd said with a bright smile as he turned to Danuja, Yanlin and Elchester, "-I think I know how we can help her!"
"Do you?" Yanlin asked.
"Wait, problem?" Bethany asked, "What are you talking about?"
Kazuho soon looked shocked at this as it clicked in her head, "Wait-You mean you know?"
"Know what?" William said, "What the hell are YOU talking about?"
"I am VERY confused right now." Natsumi said.
"Oh good I thought I was the only one." Gio said.
Floyd soon smacked them both on the head as he told them, "Oi! Pay attention!"
William growled as he said. "Why you-"
"Well my dear boy, let's hear it!" Elechester said, "What sort of idea did you have in mind?"
Floyd soon snickered before he activated his Quirk, "We just need to get to Izuku and Katsuki first!"
(Opening Theme: Black Clover Opening 6: Rakugaki Page Performed By Kankaku Piero)
-Nakagata; Torchwood-
Reina could feel the headaches getting worse and with almost every step she took. It had only been just an hour-She knew that, and yet she could feel her head ready to split open. She didn't know what Four did, but whatever it was, she didn't know how much more of the pain she could take.
As the twilight began to disappear she could feel her vision going fuzzy.
"Damn it-" She thought, "-This is even worse then what my Quirk has put me through. I'm surprised that I haven't passed out from the pain yet." She couldn't help but look at the white streak along her bangs, "First my hair and eyes changed now, this. That surge from before-I can only assume Seven gave that power to me, even though it shouldn't be mine to begin with. And now Four gave that to me, but… It didn't feel like it did back then." She couldn't help, but think back to Izuku as she could feel her chest ache, "Since then-Since our conversation, I can still feel him. Whatever this is, has to be connected back to One For All. But-Seven and Four… What do they have to do with it? Why won't they tell me their names?"
"Hey Rei-chan?"
Reina flinched slightly but calmed herself down when she realized it was Nanami. "Are you doing alright?" She asked her, "Is your head any better?"
"I'm managing." Reina replied with a reassuring smile, "Believe it or not I've had to deal with worse than this."
"I'll bet, considering you're a student in UA at all. Though I guess having a headache is better then being unconscious." Nanami said with a smile. "Oh! That reminds me!"
Reina looked a bit confused before she rummaged through the bag she had been carrying with her. "I have something for you that I think that might help." Nanami said as she had gotten out a package, "Consider this an early birthday and a VERY late Christmas present."
Reina looked a bit confused while King let out a curious woof. She took the package from her before she had gotten the wrapping off. Though she had been shocked by the contents; it had been that of a scarf though it wasn't just any scarf from what she could see.
"This is-" Reina said, shocked as she held the item in her hands, "-Shota's scarf!"
"I found it during my travels." Nanami explained, "When I remembered I had a little sister, I decided to get it for her if I ever saw her again to make up for all the birthdays I've missed. It's even more fitting since you grew up under Eraserheads roof afterall. I even had it custom made in the same material that he uses so it might be a little heavy for you." She soon gave a little laugh, "What am I saying, you should be used to that sort of thing by now."
Reina's expression brightened at this as her eyes practically sparkled and lit up. "You've-Been holding onto this? For how long?"
"For years." Nanami replied, "Since you trained under only the best of the best you can make use of this better then I ever could. Go on, try it on for size."
Reina had no hesitation at this sort of thing, before she stuffed the used wrapping in her pockets; she set the scarf just around her neck, making sure it was tight, but not too tightly. As expected from anyone, it had been a bit sloppy on her as it slumped over on her shoulders.
"Wow-" Reina said, as she let the scarf covered her mouth, "-It is a lot bigger then I thought."
"It suits you." Nanami complimented, "You look just like how I imagined. I can only see you with your natural genes right now."
Reina flinched slightly at this though she couldn't help but smile, "... Yeah. I can just picture it."
Dabi soon took notice of the scarf as Reina heard him stifle a laugh, "What is this Hallowen? You're looking like a mummy right now!"
"Dude seriously?!" Reina shouted, as she turned red with embarrassment, "Why are you calling me that?!"
"You can't take a joke Firefly?" Dabi said as he nudged her in a playful manner.
"DON'T TEASE ME LIKE THAT DABI-KUN!" She shouted before she started to hit him; at least it would have been like that if Dabi hadn't been running from her with his hands in his pockets, "IT'S EMBARRASSING YOU JERK!"
Nanami only laughed at this sort of thing, "Aww, you guys are just like siblings aren't you? It's actually really cute." A thought soon came over her, just as Dabi got Reina in a headlock, "Hey Rei-chan-Do you mind if I ask you something?"
Reina had been taken back by this sort of thing as even Dabi looked a bit confused. "I've been thinking-" She soon said, "-Lately we've been together out here for awhile and though it's been a short while… If you decide not to go back to UA…" Her smile soon returned, "... Would you consider living with me?"
Reina and even Dabi looked shocked by this sort of thing. "Wait-" She said, "-You mean go back to America with you?" She asked curiously.
Nanami nodded her head, "I know it's a bit sudden-But I figured, once this is over, if there's a slight chance UA really doesn't work out, you might want other options. Jaeger is a pretty good cook, and New Hope is pretty open, so you don't have to worry about the city air. You can even go to my school if you still want to have a career of a Hero. And we can even find a way to make your Quirk turn back on."
Reina had been put into shock by this sort of thing. Go to America to have a chance to make up the lost time she had with her sister. It was almost too good for her to be true. But she couldn't help but think back to her life in the city… Her best friends, the first and only person she loved, and even the people that had helped raise her.
Could she really leave that all behind, just to start a new life… That was the conflict goin on in her head at that moment.
"HEY!" They soon heard Jaeger shout, "We're here."
Reina and the rest looked over just the horizon, up on the hill they had been standing on as they were each taken back by what they had seen. From what Reina could see in her line of vision there once stood a building, though the moment she heard the ring go off in her head she saw what the others had seen. The building had been nothing but ash and pieces of burnt wood. Most of the machines that had been left had been melted away, and beyond repair.
When they had gotten a better look at it, Reina couldn't help but stand in the middle of the wreckage; her body shivered slightly at just the mere thought of what could've happened to this place.
"Holy hell-" Wan said as she looked around, "-This is all that's left?"
"Yep-" Kiyo said, "-Why do you think we overlooked this place before?"
"Jesus, it feels like I'm in a Jordan Peele film right now." Riichi said.
"I was thinking of Wes Craven, but yours is better." Valentine said.
"Hey-" Nira said, turning to Reina, "-You sure you actually remembered something?"
Reina took a deep breath as she looked around the area; for but a brief moment she could see the structure of the store, clearly in her head despite the staticy image. "Yeah." Reina replied, "I know I did."
"You know?" Wan asked, "Not that I'm having any doubts about you spontaneously remembering this place, but we can't just go with your gut here."
"Hey now, that's my little sister you're doubting you know?" Nanami said.
"I'm just saying we're getting one shot at this." Wan said, "Also-Still not used to the fact you're her older sister, no offense."
"None taken." She said.
"Well then Firefly let's hear it-" Dabi soon said as most were surprised by his immediate response to her statement, "-Where did you see the old man hide the backups?"
"Hold on, you're actually buying this?" Valentine asked.
"Hey-" Dabi said, "-This may be hard to believe, but there's no way she would make up a story like that. After all, I know for a fact she's a terrible liar."
Reina started to look around, threaded carefully over the debris. Sure enough, as she stepped near where the counter would be, she could see the static appeared in her line of vision, as the scene began to form once again. She started to follow through as if she had been walking through the real thing; she was doing it as if to retrace her steps for the man who once ran it. The others had watched as to them, it seemed like Reina had been in her own world; yet they were patient.
She stepped into what she could picture used to be the storage area, before she looked below her feet. She kicked away the debris and ash that laid underneath, revealing what appeared to be a rusted metal handle. She kneeled down and wiped away the soot as she had seen a door.
"Guys!" Reina called out, "I found it!"
The group went rushing to her side as Jaeger got her out of the way gently. He pulled on the hatch, but the door didn't budge, "Damn it-" He said, "-It must be locked from the inside."
"Maybe there's a key we can use?" Valentine asked.
"Hey Earth Girl?" Riichi said, "Think you can get it open?"
"I can only use my Quirk on actual earth and some metal-Not on wood." Nira replied, "Believe me-I tried."
"Well that's just peachy." Kiyo said, "How the hell are we supposed to get in there then?"
"I can try melting the lock." Dabi said as his hands started to emit familiar blue flames.
"No wait-" Nanami said, stopping him as it caused him to stop his Quirk, "-You'll end up locking up what we need permanently."
"Then how do you suggest we get it open?" Dabi asked.
"Alright step aside ladies-" Wan said before she got out her golden rod, "-I'll do it."
Wan's crystal started to glow before a blade emitted from the golden rod; with one slash she broke open the hatch handle with one swing before she deactivated her Quirk. The group couldn't help but give her a look.
"What can I say except, you're welcome?" Wan said with a smile as she set the rod back in place.
"Well, I guess that's one way to get a door open." Valentine said.
Jaeger only rolled his eyes, before he got the hatch door open; none were at all surprised to see it had been all pitch black. He soon got out a set of glow sticks; with a click they started to glow, before he dropped them inside. They had gotten a good look at what looked to be an old rusted ladder, and they could even hear the sound of creaking inside.
"That doesn't sound good." Kiyo said.
"No, it doesn't." Nira said as she had been kneeling down; her hand had been placed on the ground, "From the looks of it, everything that's holding the cellar together is starting to give out. It's coming from the sewer pipes just on the other side of the wall. It might give at any moment."
The group had a look of awe as Nira could feel them staring despite her being blind. It seemed like she knew what they were all thinking. "One of the perks of being blind, you heighten a lot of senses. Especially if your Quirk is like mine." Nira said.
"You have got to be the coolest kid on the planet right now hon." Valentine said.
"That ladder looks like it's the only thing keeping everything from falling apart." Nira said, "If that tunnel in there doesn't do it first."
"A tunnel?" Reina said, confused.
Dabi soon took a look as he noticed how rusted it had been, "That doesn't look like it can support much weight."
"It must've been from all the rainwater that leaked in." Nanami said, "Metal and water don't tend to mix very well."
"From the looks of things, one of us is gonna have to go down there." Jaeger said, before he turned to one person in particular, "Young Master-You're gonna head down there and grab what we need."
Reina looked a bit surprised by this sort of thing, "Wait, me?!"
"That ladder won't support any of our weight." Jaeger said, "And Nira-No offense won't be able to see what she's grabbing."
"Normally I would get mad, but given our situation and the fact that you could kick my ass despite the fact I'm thirteen, I'll allow it." Nira said.
"You're the only one of size that can get in and get out." Jaeger explained to Reina, "Don't worry, we'll keep the hatch door open, and we'll be right outside in case something happens. All you have to do is give a shout."
Reina had only taken a deep breath, as she looked at everyone else. "Okay-What sort of model do we need?" Reina asked.
"If we're gonna get this working-" Kiyo said, "-We'll need a vintage model. We can't hotwire a transmission with a newer model."
"Does the software matter?"
"We won't have to worry about the type of software. As long as the model is vintage, then we'll take it back to Terrashield and get it working."
Reina processed this information before she nodded, "I got it. I'll find what we're looking for."
"Be careful in there." Nanami said.
"I will, I promise." Reina replied with a smile. Just as she readied herself to go down, she suddenly felt King pull on her jacket. He let out a whimper as he gave her a certain look in his eyes.
She couldn't help but laugh softly, "I'll be just fine, King." She said as she scratched his ears, "I'm counting on you to watch my back." King only licked her cheek as she smiled before giving him one last pat on the head.
She soon went down, being careful of the rusted ladder with each step she took, noting how far down it had actually been. It hadn't been long before she finally reached the bottom. Rummaging through the bag she had been carrying on her back, she had gotten out a flashlight as she allowed it to light her way.
There she had been greeted with a whole row of desktops and other sort of machines; ones she had never thought she would see again. Each and every one of them had still been boxed and wrapped in plastic and looked to be a bit drenched, most likely from the rain that had leaked through. All of them had been in aisles as the room had been a lot bigger then they thought it would be.
"Wow-" She said in awe, "-Karou-jiisan wasn't kidding about having back-ups for back-ups. I'm surprised no one thought of looting this."
"Firefly!" She heard Dabi call out, "What do you see in there?!"
"A bunch of monitors, game systems, even VCRs!" Reina replied, as she looked through the shelves again, "I don't see the model yet!"
"Try looking further in the back!" Nanami said, "Karou might've kept the older models there!"
"Got it!" She replied.
She started to step towards the back treading carefully and lightly as she could faintly hear the sound of water dripping just ath the corner. When she had gotten to the back she was a bit surprised to find, she had been startled when she noticed there had been… An opening.
"What the-?"
As she examined it, she noticed the opening had been large enough to fit one person, and that someone took the trouble to remove the shelves from their original space; there weren't any lights, nothing of the sort. All she could see was nothing but pitch black.
"Nira!" She soon called out, "You said there was a tunnel down here, right?!"
"That's right!" She heard her say.
"Well I found it! It doesn't look like it was freshly dug!" Reina told the group, "Do you know where it leads?!"
"I can't say for sure-" Nira replied, "-But I think it might lead to the sewer tunnel!"
"Don't worry about checking it!" She heard Jaeger say, "Just focus on getting what we need!"
"Yeah hon!" Valentine added, "It's starting to get dark on our end!"
"Sure." Reina said with slight hesitation. She looked to the opening again, as she held her flashlight in the opening; it didn't seem to reach the end of the tunnel as it had been almost endless.
"Did Karou-jiisan make that himself?" She thought, "No. That wouldn't make any sense." She sighed, "I have to follow Jaeger-san's advice, and not worry about it… At least for now."
She started to go through the shelves in the back finding a few assortments of Macs and PCs and even one or two Nintendo DS and PSP gaming systems. She stopped and looked at a certain one; one in particular in had been a bright red, DS XL. For a moment she found her little hands holding a similar device, as she had been playing with a very familiar boy with the red hat.
She noticed the boxing had one game including one that she knew all too well. "The Legend of Zelda, Four Swords…" Reina said as she brushed her fingers across the plastic, "... The game I used to play with him…" She soon looked to the PSP as it showed it came with the games, Sonic Rivals. She could feel her head go fuzzy; for a brief moment she could see she had been playing with someone. She had been a bit dizzy as for a moment she saw a face, though she couldn't make it out.
"Wha-" She said as she caught her breath, "-What was that?"
"Did you say something down there?!" She heard Kiyo say.
"Nothing, I'm still looking!" Reina told him.
Without any hesitation she took the DS XL without hesitation before she put it in her bag; Though she looked to the PSP console as she could feel that faint ring go off. Before she knew it, she found herself taking the PSP as she put it in her bag. Just as she went to move again-
PING-Went her head suddenly as it caused Reina to let out a cry. She fell to her knees suddenly as she grasped her head when the sound went off again.
"Pipsqueak!" She could hear Wan call faintly as everything around her became muffled, "Pipsqueak what's wrong!?"
Reina couldn't answer as she found herself nearly collapsing; as she did, she saw her hands spark with a familiar white light sparks emit from her hands.
"T-This sensation-" She thought, "-It's just like before when I fought Tau! But-This is different! It's almost like someone is lobotomizing me! It didn't hurt this much before!" She let out a groan as the ping went off again, "Then- If that's the case-Could this be-"
"HEY, REINA!" She heard Riichi's voice call through.
It seemed to have snapped her out of it, but she could still feel the ping in her head. "You good down there!?" Riichi shouted, "You're not getting cold feet on us are you?!"
"N-No!" Reina replied as she even found that standing up was difficult for her, "I'm-I'm alright…!" She stumbled slightly as she started to push herself forward. She soon noticed the insignia of one of the boxes in the flashlight. Her expression brightened, "I found it!"
"You did?!" Kiyo said with relief, "Holy crap!"
"Atta girl Rei-chan!" Nanami said, "That's my baby sister down there!"
"What are you waiting for?!" Valentine said, "Grab it and let's get it to Kaiya!"
"No worries, I know!" Reina said with a laugh.
She soon grabbed the vintage computer off of the shelf and went to make her exit-Or that's what she was going to do, until she heard-
"... Lo...ok… O..u...t…" A whisper suddenly came to her head. The sound of the voice had been familiar as she had recognized it; though it had been faint.
"Four…?"She said softly.
The whisper soon came again.
"Lo...ok… O..u...t…" It had told her.
Before Reina realized it, she found herself moving out of harm's way when what looked to be a metal claw hand thrusted in her direction; though it missed her it ended up breaking one of the monitors on the shelf and it forced her to drop her flashlight.
"Reina!?" Kiyo called out, "Reina what's happening?!"
"I don't know-!" Reina said, before the ping came again; she suddenly moved out of harm's way again as she felt only what looked to be a gust of wind go past her as she ended up hitting her back to the wall.
"Again?!" She thought, "My body-Just moved on its own…! Was that before-Or after that sound-? I don't know! But that feeling-"
"Well, well-" She heard a voice say.
She could hear someone stepping towards her, as by the sound of it-Her attacker had been right in front of her. She could hear something metal-Most likely from the appendage she had seen.
"Alice is a lot better than this one thought." The Person said as the voice belonged to a young man, "Alice is the real deal."
"Alice?" She thought, before she spoke to the person, "Who are you!? And how do you know that name?!"
She heard the young man chuckle, "Oh-This one knows more than she thinks. This one-And others."
"Others?"
She suddenly felt the ping again as she found herself moving; this time she could see what had been about to hit her as she jumped out of harm's way. She found herself moving away everytime she felt a familiar sound go off. She could hear several of the wrapped devices break or fall off the shelf. She didn't quite understand why this had been occurring, or how she was even dodging her attacker without sustaining injuries so far-But right now, she wasn't going to question it. All she knew was, it was keeping her alive.
She found herself hitting the back of the shelves, before she narrowly dodged an attack from him this time however she found herself narrowly dodging.
"Wait, wait!" Reina told the young man, before she dodged another attack from him, "Look, you don't need to attack me! I don't want any trouble here!"
The young man didn't respond this time as he went to attack her again and again. She started to cringe when she felt her leg start to act up. "Crap!" She thought, "No wonder I'm starting to get slower! Between the headache and my leg, I don't know how much longer I'm gonna hold out! Especially since I'm still recuperating!"
She soon found herself hitting the ground before rolling when the young man struck again.
"Stop! Stop!" She pleaded, "What do you want from me?!"
The man soon spoke again, though this time, she could hear the voice coming from behind her, "These ones-Require the key."
"Key?" She said, before she heard the sound of what she could've sworn had been… A hum?
BANG!
The next second later, Reina let out a cry as she felt the equivalent of the blade had gone through her ankle and knee as she ended up hitting the ground; she saw that her right leg and ankle had been bleeding as she found it hard to move. "Da-Damn it…!" She cried, "Damn it…! It hurts…! It hurts…!"
The flashlight soon illuminated her attacker as she noticed what it was that shot her as the sound of the hum had become more clearer in her ears. The device had a gray steel, and almost looked similar to that of a turtle's shell; a single red light had been at the center, almost if it had been an eye.
"An attack drone!?" She exclaimed in her thoughts, "That's-A military grade, from I-Island! You mean something like that is out here too?!"
Reina soon realized that her sword had been off of her back as it had been just a few feet away from her. She went to grab it but she felt him step on her hand hard making her cry again.
"This one was told to bring you alive-" The young man said, "-That didn't mean this one can't break Alice's legs first."
Reina felt her panic start to set in her head and began to ache causing her to cry in agony as the scenery around her started to change. She found herself almost transitioning from the cellar she was in to the cafeteria of the very school she had been attending. Standing over had been a girl… Who smelled of thinner.
Her laugh had been disorentend as she stepped towards her; her body had been dripping from her fingertips.
"Pretty woman~" The lady sang as she held a syringe, "I'll take you somewhere special~! Somewhere… Better…"
"No-No-" Reina said before she found herself curling up into a ball, "-Not again-!"
The young man stepped towards her but-
"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HER!"
Half of the room had suddenly been illuminated with blue flames which caused the young man to jump back; the flames burnt half of the machines along with the familiar blue flames. The next thing she knew she saw Dabi ran towards her.
"Dabi-kun!" She exclaimed.
"You good Firefly?" Dabi asked her before he noticed her wounds, "Son of a bitch, that asshole got you!"
"What are you doing here?!" She said, "Did you jump down here?!"
"You're seriously asking me that?!" Dabi said before he helped her up, "We gotta get out of here, now!"
They could hear someone landing on the floor, having jumped through the flames. With half of the room illuminated with blue flames. He was a teen, no older then Reina had been. He looked to have an undercut as it had been in a dark blue color; his eyes were of a black color. His clothes had been ragged and torn. He looked to be wearing a black jacket as the right sleeve had been torn, revealing why she heard the sound of metal earlier. His arm from up to his shoulder had been metallic and clawlike; though it looked to be rusted, it still looked as sharp as any knife. His pants looked ripped and covered in dirt stains as he had been barefoot and looked to have his own set of scars on his legs.
Reina thought she had been imagining it, but they looked surgical.
"This one only needs Alice-" The young man said, "-Everyone else-Will be erased."
"If you want her-" Dabi said as he readied himself, as his hands sparked, "-You're gonna have to get through me."
The young man readied himself; as his claw hand sparked the drone soon above his head. "This one is going to enjoy this." The young man, as Reina could've sworn his eyes had glowed a little. Though before any of them could attack the young teen was a bit taken back when he found himself getting pulled back as he let out a shriek. Dabi and Reina looked confused until they noticed that he had been tied in a set of webbings along with the drone.
"That's-" Reina said, shocked.
Soon enough, Valentine jumped down along with King, Nanami and Nira; it was then she started to hear noise outside. From the sound of it-It appeared to be fighting. She could hear a terrifying shriek as it made her freeze.
"What the hell are you guys doing?!" Dabi said.
"It's all gone to hell up there!" Valentine said, "The Styx's came out of nowhere!"
"What!?" Reina said, shocked.
"I didn't see them coming till the last minute!" Nira said, "They ambushed us!"
"What about the others?!" Dabi said.
"They're holding them off, but-" Nira said as she looked to be shaken, "-They just came out of nowhere!"
"Rei-chan!" Nanami said as she ran over to her, "Are you okay?!"
"I-I'm okay-" Reina said, shaken.
They could hear the loud piercing roar come again as they noticed the young teen started to break apart the webbing. "We gotta go! Now!" Dabi told Nanami as he picked Reina up from the ground.
"Quick!" Valentine said before he pointed towards the opening in the wall, "Through here! It's our only chance!"
"But-What about the others?!" Reina said.
"Don't worry!" Nanami told her, "They're gonna be fine! Let's just grab what we need and go!"
Reina only stayed silent at this as she felt Dabi carry her towards the opening that was made. Valentine quickly grabbed a desktop as he quickly put out the small flames before he followed the others out. Nira held onto to King as they went out the doorway.
The young man broke out of the webbing as the drone shot its way out of it. The young man chuckled, "This one is going to enjoy killing them."
Katsuki and Izuku found the tunnel a lot longer then they had both expected as they had to dodge the acid water that dripped from the very ceiling as it sizzled on the metal with every droplet of water that leaked in the tunnel. They were both running as fast as their legs could carry them as they didn't even seem to know how much time had passed them by. Even with the masks they wore, they could still feel the chemical smells, and their heads a bit woozy.
They figured they had gotten halfway down the tunnel when they finally decided to take a breather as they each took a seat.
"I'm starting to get dizzy from that chemical smell…" Izuku said, "... If it wasn't for our masks we would've passed out by now."
"Like this is enough to stop me." Katsuki said as he collected himself, "Damn it-I already got a headache just from being down here."
"I guess that's why they traveled via the old subway tracks with the small train they had built." Izuku said.
For a moment he could feel his head throb a little as he felt a ring go off in his head. "The headaches are starting to get worse." He thought, "It must mean we're getting closer to Reina-chan. I just hope she's okay." He soon looked over to Katsuki as he had been taking deep breaths. A thought soon came across his head, as he couldn't help but feel curious about something.
"Hey, Kaa-chan?" Izuku said. His glare had caused Izuku to flinch; though after a deep breath, he spoke up as calmly as he could. "I was wondering-If you decided where to take Reina-chan on your first date together?"
Katsuki only clicked his tongue, "Why would I tell you something like that Deku?"
"I'm-I'm just curious." He replied, "You know as well as I Reina-chan has never experienced an actual date before, then again you haven't either-"
Katsuki had only growled and glared which made Izuku jump, though he was quick to come himself, "-I'm just wondering-If you actually picked a place."
Katsuki didn't respond, instead he remained quiet as he turned his head away. Izuku couldn't help but smile as his expression brightened slightly. He couldn't help but feel glad that his dear friend had been thinking about making someone else happy. He figured he would never get the chance to say… Both he and Reina were blessed. And as long as they each had a smile on their face, then... He would do whatever he could to make sure nothing had ever happened to them, and help them remain happy for as long as he lived.
"You and I-" Izuku started to say, as Katsuki flinched a little "-Have known Reina-chan for a long time haven't we? And… We both want what's best for her. I know, even if it was only for a short while… You made each other really happy."
"The hell are you saying Deku?" Katsuki said.
"I-Can help you pick a site, if you'd let me." Izuku soon said, "We've always known Reina-chan, better than Floyd-san, I'm ashamed to admit. Maybe… When this is all over, we can decide together, since she's going to need it, more than any of us."
Izuku could see it in his eyes that he had been thinking; he could practically see the gears turning for him in his brain. Finally Katsuki let out a huff, "... Just do what you want Deku, after this is over. I don't care."
Izuku's expression brightened, as he knew what this meant, "Ye-Yeah!"
Izuku might have imagined it, but he could've sworn he saw Katsuki's eyes lighten up slightly at this sort of answer, before one of them could say anything, they were each taken back by a familiar scream.
"That's-" Katsuki said.
Izuku's eyes in realization as they each knew who it had been, "Crawler!"
