(Second Opening Theme: Beastars Opening 1-Wild Side Performed By ALI)
After Dabi had returned with the snacks, and Reina had calmly explained the situation to him, he allowed Katsuki to stay in the room with them as they got together a battery powered hotpot Dabi had found, and they started to cook up some instant noodles. As they were waiting for the noodles to be cooked they had passed the time by playing cards, just as Dabi had promised; though they ended up having a third player. King had taken an instant liking to Katsuki as he had his head resting on his lap; every so often he would scratch his head.
Neither of them seemed to mind it-At least… Not as much for Reina.
As she sat there with Katsuki-She couldn't help but feel this sense of anxiety rush over her. She knew Izuku had told her about him coming here… But honestly-She had hoped he had been bluffing.
She had very mixed feelings about seeing him here.
"You know, the kid talked a little bit about you-" Dabi said as he placed a set of cards in the pile, "-She was pretty spot on with how she talked about you."
"Well what were you expecting?" Katsuki asked him curiously.
"From the video it just seemed like you were a loud and obnoxious kid." He replied. Almost immediately Katsuki growled in annoyance which caused Dabi to chuckle. "I wasn't that far off after all." He said before allowing Reina to take a card from his hand.
"I still can't believe someone like you follows that Stain Guy." Katsuki said ,
"What can I say-" Dabi said, "-People like different things." He soon looked over to Reina as she had been focused on the cards in her hand.
"Hey Firefly-" He called out which Reina flinched at, "-You good?"
"Ye-Yeah?" Reina said, "What makes you say that?"
"You've been awfully quiet over the past ten minutes." He pointed out, "Thought you'd be more excited to see him, considering he is your boyfriend."
Reina only squeaked out of embarrassment before she turned away from Katsuki. She could hear him give a chuckle, "You actually called me that huh? Nice to know you didn't officially dump me."
"V-Val-chan was the one that said it!" Reina told him, "Be-Besides, it's just too embarrassing for me you know!"
"You weren't so embarrassed when I kissed you." Katsuki pointed out.
Reina only hid her face as she couldn't help but let out a squeak as Katsuki couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Yeah-" He said, "-I missed you too."
"I can see why you two were made for each other." Dabi said, "Now that I got a better look at you in person. Still, didn't think you'd come all the way out here. You'd even play the part as messenger boy to see her. You were either desperate, or worried."
Katsuki only growled again as he glared as Reina herself had a sheepish look. It hadn't been long before they heard the hotplate beep, as Reina quickly tended to it; she went over to the table and got out a set of bowls in a bag they had before pouring them in and stirring them in the eggs Dabi had brought in, still contemplating at the fact there were fresh eggs to begin with.
Dabi soon had a leer, "Can't believe that old bastard really managed to follow us out here. He's a sick bastard."
"Sounds like you hate him as much as I do." Katsuki said, before he noticed that Reina was having trouble; it was then he noticed the makeshift cast around her hand. He got up and went over to her.
"Well he did try to kill her and was selling children off to sick people-" Dabi said, "-So yeah, they're MANY reasons why I hate that asshole."
Katsuki only clicked his tongue at this, "He was more than just a sick bastard-He's just a piece of garbage." He soon came up from behind Reina, though she didn't seem at all phased, "I don't get what exactly happened to the guy, but he got what he dese-"
Just as he gently reached out and touched Reina's arms, she suddenly let out a gasp as she recoiled suddenly, nearly dropping the food; though he had been quick to catch everything before it all spilled; it even almost made Dabi move to help, but soon saw everything was fine.
"S-Sorry." Reina said nervously as she fixed herself, "I-Got a little startled…"
"N-No, it's fine!" Katsuki said, "I was just being stupid-I shouldn't have-"
"Do-Don't say that-It's fine, really, it's not your fault!"
"No, no, it is I really just-"
Dabi couldn't help but laugh as Reina and Katsuki flinched at this. "You really are perfect for each other." He said.
They both turned red as they looked away from each other as Dabi couldn't help but laugh again. Reina immediately got her portion and Dabi's before she sat down next to hisi and started to eat quietly after she handed off his bowl. Katsuki only cleared his throat before he had gotten his bowl and sat across from them before he started to eat.
Katsuki only cleared his throat as he ate, "Reina uh-" He started to say as he had gotten Reina's attention, "-Your hair, and eyes-It looks… Different."
Reina started to play with some of it as she shifted awkwardly, "Ye-yeah… My-Stupid Quirk made it this way. I-" She cleared her own throat, "-It made it easier for me to-Well, you know."
"I-Liked the candy look better-" Katsuki said before he turned red again, "-I mean, not that there's anything wrong with this look! You-Still look good! Like-Really good!" He soon growled, before saying softly, "What the hell am I saying, that's stupid!"
Reina had been a bit taken back by this sort of thing as she only turned red, "Wait-You actually-"
Just then they heard the sound of the pair of voices. "We're back-" They heard Kiyo say as he stepped into the room, "-You wouldn't believe what we found in the-Oh!" He soon stopped mid-sentence as he noticed a new face in the room; Nanami soon followed inside as well as she had a look of shock.
"Hello." Kiyo soon said with a smile.
"Uh-Hi." Katsuki said awkwardly.
"A new face?" Nanami said, a bit shocked, before she looked over to Dabi and Reina, "How did you get in here?"
Katsuki didn't say anything as he looked over Nanami; his eyes widened in realization as he had recognized who the young woman had been. "You're Nanami-" Katsuki said as he didn't sound in the least bit surprised which took Reina back, "-So you really did come out here?"
"You-Know her?" Reina asked, surprised.
"She's a famous actress, and not to mention a top Hero in America." He told her, "It's pretty obvious. Though-" He rubbed the back of his neck as he had a look of confidence, "-You being her little sister-Isn't as obvious as I thought it would be."
At this, Reina, Nanami, Kiyo and even Dabi looked surprised by this sort of information. Katsuki seemed to have read their thoughts, but kept his eyes on Reina.
"I-Found a photo." He admitted, "She was a bit younger, but-I'm not the kind of guy that forgets a face."
Reina couldn't help but huff, "Of course-You're, Mr. Perfect after all."
"I thought I was the tough guy?"
"... You still are… You just… Have your good qualities… Unlike me…"
Katsuki could sense how upset she had sounded, and how she looked. He could almost swear that she looked less alive in her eyes; his gaze couldn't help but soften as he looked at her. The others seemed to have sensed the tension, or at the very least Dabi could feel it before he spoke up, "Did you guys say you found something?"
"Huh-" Nanami said before she seemed to have snapped out of it, "-Oh yeah! We actually found a backup generator and a few working baths with their own water tank!"
"We can actually use it to refresh ourselves!" Kiyo added with a smile.
"Really?" Dabi said, a bit shocked, "Man, that's becoming scarce around here, even with the resources TerraSheilds got."
"Hey, Rei-chan!" Nanami said as she seemed to have snapped her out of it, "Isn't that great?"
Reina flinched slightly before she gave her own response, "Ye-Yeah, it sounds fantastic."
"We can actually feel refreshed and take our minds off of all that craziness." Nanami said with a smile, "Jaeger should have the generators up and running soon, but you're welcome to go ahead and relax yourself! It's just a few doors down from here!"
Reina looked over to Katsuki as she only turned away from him as the look on her face changed, "Yeah… It sounds like a good idea."
Katsuki watched as she left the room without saying another word; taking her bag with her, King followed Reina out the door and to where the baths had been. The group had looked a bit of a concerned look, especially Dabi though he did his best to hide it well as he looked away from the group.
She managed to get the water tank started as she filled up the somewhat cracked tub. The water hadn't been too warm or too cold making it the right temperature. In fact, she didn't mind the fact it was leaking a little bit. Though she lacked the necessities she was able to ease her muscles.
She had gotten her jacket off, revealing her purple tank top, as well as the old and new set of wounds.
She sighed as she could feel her heart about to burst out of her chest. She looked to King as he had been laying by the tub.
"I really can't be in the same room as him, can't I?" She said with a sad smile as she went to remove the brace, along her arm, after removing the one on her leg, revealing a few small scars along it, "I thought I would be okay if I did see him, but… I'm just a coward aren't I…?"
"That's a bit harsh don't you think?"
Reina let out a shriek as she realized Katsuki had entered the bath area. Instinctively she shielded her body from him.
"F-For crying out loud!" Reina said, "I'm about to take a bath here!"
"You're getting upset over that?" Katsuki said, casually, "It's not like I haven't seen it before you know?"
"Th-That's not the point!" She shrieked nervously as she fixed herself up, before she went to remove the brace on her arm. Though she stopped herself when she soon realized the cast on her hand as she could hardly move it. Katsuki only let out a sigh as he stepped over to her.
"Here." He said as he reached out to her.
Reina quickly recoiled back, though Katsuki remained calm as he knew that it wasn't her fault. It seemed to have hit her too, as she had a look of guilt.
"I-I'm sorry…" Reina said, "... I just… I…"
"You've been through a lot…" Katsuki said, "... I know." He soon reached out towards her again, this time he had moved slowly, "... Just rely on me, like I do for you. Okay?"
Reina flinched at the words, and though she had a nervous look on her face she allowed herself to calm down. Katsuki soon stepped forward as he started to undo the brace. It slipped off her arm and shoulder with ease as his look softened at the sight of her arm. He gently took her casted hand as he got a better look at the small fresh scars.
"These look like Dekus…" He commented softly as Reina flinched slightly, "... What happened that warranted these?"
Reina only sighed, "... You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
She shivered as she felt his hand brush up her arm till it had reached her shoulder; he got her to look up to him. "I know it hasn't been that long-" Katsuki said, "-But it feels like ages since we saw each other."
"Yeah…" Reina said as she leaned in for his touch, "... And yet… I thought it would be enough time… For you to get your mind together, and realize you made a mistake."
Katsuki looked taken back by this sort of thing though he kept himself calm, "What mistake would that be?" He asked as his voice still sounded soft.
"... Me." Reina said as she looked up to him, "... Us-Meeting. All those times, you had to pick up my mess… All those times, you had to repeat the same thing, and…" She soon hugged herself, "... The night we had together… When we-"
"-You told me you didn't hate it."
"I don't. But-Maybe it shouldn't have happened."
"But it did. Because we both said it was okay."
Reina only backed up from him until she felt herself hit the rim of the cracked tub, while Katsuki remained where he was, for the moment.
"... You can't still think that-After everything I've done to you." Reina said, "After… I hurt you. You would just brush me aside"
"Are you kidding?" He said in disbelief, "I never once stopped, since the day I met you." Finally he stepped forward as he took her in his arms again. "Even though I was hurt-I never stopped, because I didn't want to forget you. And I get the feeling-You're like that too."
"How can you-After everything?" She asked with a whimper.
"Because no matter how much you change… All I see is you." He said, "Let me prove it to you."
Reina found his lips on her again as she didn't find herself pushing away; she instead responded in kind as she gripped the back of his shirt. Taking care of her wounds his hands reached the hem of her shirt; it was only then she took his wrist to stop him.
"Is something wrong?" He asked as he pulled himself back.
"N-Nothing." Reina said, "It's just that-All the battles I've faced out here, I just-"
"You just what?" He asked curiously.
He could feel her hand shaking at that point, though he kept a firm yet gentle grip on it. "You-Won't like what you see." She told him.
Katsuki placed his hand on her cheek, as she noticed the look he gave; it was almost as if he had been telling her-It was okay.
"Try me." He said.
At that point, she couldn't find herself protesting, as she felt her heart be put at ease.
"How-"
Reina found herself relaxing once more, his hands soon resumed their position as he took hold of them again. He pulled her shirt over her head and tossed it into a random part of the room just as King fell asleep. He started to kiss her neck, as she gripped the back of his shirt while she allowed him to do so as they found themselves within the tub of water.
Though neither of them seemed to mind the fact that some of their clothes were drenched. She allowed Katsuki to continue before she quickly went to remove his own shirt.
"--How can a single look from him-Drive me so crazy?"
