After everything had subsided, Izuku and Floyd were shown by Wan, Riichi, Valentine and Nira where the rest of the group had been. Despite the Styx being outside they had chatted amongst themselves to ease the tension. Though some of them couldn't believe one certain topic in particular.
"Still hard to believe the Aihara family had themselves a son-Let alone multiple kids." Riichi said, "What the hell are you, horny little rabbits?"
Floyd gave an obnoxious laugh before he replied, "Wow, how do you know?"
"Well at least your parents aren't like Wan's, especially her mother." Riichi said.
"TMI, DEVILMAN!" Wan exclaimed,
"Hey! You're the one that always talks about how she is with your dad." Riichi told her. "Especially when they met in UA!"
"YEAH, BUT YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY IT STUPID!" She shouted as she gave him a slap.
"OH YOU WANNA GO AURA GIRL!?" He yelled as he had a rageful smile.
"And they're at it again." Nira said with a monotone look.
"Guys, can we not start a fight?" Valentine said, "We got bigger problems ya know?"
"BUZZ OFF YOU DAMN SPIDER!" Wan and Riichi shouted in unison as Valentine didn't seem phased.
"What an original name." Valentine said with a look.
Izuku couldn't help but laugh a little, "She really does sound like Floyd-san. I could almost swear you two were long lost siblings." Wan and Floyd only looked skeptical at this.
"Why would you think I sounded like this otaku?" Wan asked as she pointed to Floyd making him flinch.
"A WHAT?!" Floyd shouted.
"An otaku." Wan clarified, "You know, an anime/manga nerd. You strike me as an otaku, you just have that face."
Floyd got his Sumi striker as he said, "Say that again! I'LL KILL YOU!"
Wan only had a nonchalant look, "Seriously?"
Floyd had told her with a glare, "THAT'S A GROSS TERM! NEVER SAY THAT TO ME AGAIN OR YOU DIE!"
"Again-" Wan said as she looked at Izuku, "-Why do you think I sound like him?"
"No reason." Izuku replied with a smile.
"HEY!" Riichi shouted as he pulled Floyd back, "NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO KILL THIS GIRL BUT ME!"
"Not if I kill ya first Devilman!" Wan said.
Floyd had told him, "GET IN LINE YOU!"
"God, how do you guys have this much energy with the threat literally outside?" Nira asked.
"Hey-We're doing this to forget about the threat outside our door." Wan said, "You don't do that?"
"No." She replied, "I'm not crazy like you."
Floyd had said, "That's an understatement."
Valentine soon sighed, "Still can't believe Tau would do a thing like that just to get to Reina-Not to mention what she had to go through. It's no wonder she didn't say anything about why she came out here in the first place."
Izuku looked a bit shocked, "Reina-chan never told you anything?"
"Not exactly-" Wan said.
"All she said was she made a mistake she couldn't fix." Valentine added, "We knew it was serious, but hey-It is traumatizing to watch her boyfriend go through that."
Izuku couldn't help but turn red, "She called Kaa-chan her boyfriend?!"
"His nickname is Kaa-chan?" Wan asked.
"Well that's just cheesy and gag worthy." Riichi said.
"Hey, that name actually sounds cute." Valentine said.
Floyd had said with a growl, "Geez, rub it in will you."
"Sounds to me like someones jealous." Nira said which made Floyd jump.
His face immediately turned red, "W-Wha-WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! I'M HAPPY FOR THEM!"
"I know I can't feel your heartbeat-" Nira said, "-But your sounding sus right now."
Floyd could only growl at this as he glared at Nira. As they turned the corner, a familiar voice called out to them.
"Aihara-san! Midoriya-kun!"
Izuku and Floyd looked over as they saw Koichi slide over with the help of his Quirk. "K-Crawler-san!" Izuku said with relief after he had quickly corrected himself, "Did you manage to seal everything?"
"Everything from the north and west side was already sealed-" Koichi replied, before he noticed the others, "-Wan-Guys! You found them?"
"You two know the clown?" Riichi asked.
"NOT A CLOWN!" Koichi shouted.
"Wait, you know them?" Floyd asked Kochi.
"You know these guys?" Wan, Riichi, Valentine and Nira asked.
"It's sorta a long story." Koichi said to them awkwardly, "Anyway-The barricades should be out till morning. Those things will be gone by then."
Izuku and Floyd couldn't help but sigh with relief. "Thank goodness." Izuku said.
"Well that's one problem we don't have to worry about for awhile." Floyd said.
"Yeah-" Wan said as she looked out the window as she could see them moving about, despite the darkness, "-I can't help but feel like somethings off about them."
"We can worry about it later-" Valentine said, as he gave her a pat on the shoulder, "-We should head back to the others. We've been through a lot this evening. And it would be nice to get some-"
The group soon jumped suddenly as they saw the halls had been filled with electricity as it lit the halls.
"-Sleep." Valentine said, shocked.
"The lights-" Izuku said stunned, "-How did they come on?"
"Not sure." Floyd said with a shrug.
"Let's go and find out." Nira said.
With that said, Izuku, Koichi, and Floyd followed Wan, Riichi, Valentine and Nira down the hall. It hadn't been long before they arrived in the very room they had been staying in for the time being. Just as they did, Izuku and Floyd had been taken back when they saw a man with bat ears approach.
"Jaeger-san!" Koichi said relieved, "Thank goodness your here too!"
"Jaeger?!" Izuku and Floyd said as they were shocked.
"Oh, if it isn't the Vigilante." Jaeger said, "You ended up coming here after all."
"Your name is Jaeger?" Izuku asked as his ears twitched.
Jaeger soon noticed them as he looked a bit shocked, though regained his composure, "Who are you-And how do you shitty brats know my name?"
"Well nice to meet you too." Floyd responded.
"T-That's sort of a long story sir." Izuku said.
"Who the hell are these two?" Jaeger asked, "And how did they get in here?"
"That's a long story too-" Wan said, "-As to how they got in here, I'm assuming it was the same way we did."
"Is that so-" Jaeger said, "-Well they don't seem like the normal psychos-Then again don't judge a book by its cover."
"We're not psychos mind you!" Floyd said offended.
"I take it you're the one that got the lights on just now." Riichi said.
"I found a backup generator that was still intact." Jaeger replied, "It was a bit damaged though I managed to fix it up. At least now we'll be able to have lights and working hot water from the tanks that are still working."
"And a good thing too-" A new voice had said which startled Izuku and Floyd.
They looked over and saw it had been a young woman with familiar magenta eyes, "Rei-chan is just helping herself to the hot water that's available. And to help ease her wounds."
A young man soon came into the hall as they recognized him to be Kiyo. "It's good for her considering she's still recuperating from her wounds."
"Really?" Jager said, "That's good to hear."
Izuku and Floyd's eyes couldn't help but light up as they had realized who it was they were looking at. Both of them couldn't believe their eyes as they were in sheer awe.
"Oh-You're new." Kiyo said, a bit stunned.
"I-It's you!" Izuku said as his eyes sparkled as he looked to Nanami in particular, "The Number One Pro Hero of America, Hermes!"
"Wo-Wow!" Floyd said with a smile as his eyes lit up, "The most infamous Pro Hero and actress ever to live on the face of this planet!"
Nanami looked a bit startled, "Oh-Looks like you two picked up new friends."
"I wouldn't label them like that just yet." Nira said.
Floyd immediately rushed to Nanami as he started to shake her hand vigorously which took her back. "It's such an honor to meet you ma'am!" Floyd said, "I've been following your movies since I was kid! You've been a huge inspiration in my creative field!"
Nanami only blushed before she had a sheepish smile, "O-Oh! Thanks so much. It's a bit rare for me to find people out here that actually know me-" She soon shrugged, "-Then again I never actually minded that sort of thing."
"Though it goes to show you how celebrity life is." Kiyo said.
"Y-" Izuku soon said as his eyes sparkled, "-You look just as beautiful as Reina-chan! You really are her older sister aren't you?!"
At this Nanami looked even more shocked at this before the thought seemed to have hit her, "You must be a friend of Rei-chan if you know something like that." She soon looked over to Floyd, "And-You're an Aihara right? It's kind of funny but your parents and grandparents were actually an inspiration to me when I was growing up. If it wasn't for their work, I wouldn't be the Hero I am today. I'm glad you're Rei-chan's friend too."
This time Floyd was the one that turned red as he said with a sheepish smile while his face turned red, "o-oh is that so?"
Nanami only laughed at this, "Hard to believe-We got two more people that know my little sister."
"Two more?" Izuku and Floyd said they were confused. It soon dawned on them as they both had come to a realization. It seemed like Koichi had gotten the right idea when the thought soon came over him.
"You mean-Kaa-chan was here?" Izuku asked, shocked.
"Kaa-chan?" Nanami said before her eyes sparkled, "Aww, that's such a cute nickname for a tough guy like him!"
"Seriously-" A new voice to Izuku and Floyd's ears said, "-That sounds like something a five year old came up with-" The new voice belonged to a man in his twenties, with black hair and turquoise eyes. They were a bit taken back by him at first, but they were quick to realize he had a set of burns along his body, as it had resembled patches.
"-Then again, I shouldn't be surprised." He said, "After all she did mention that to me before."
"That's Dabi-" Izuku thought, "-The one that the Collector told us about. So-He's the one that saved Reina-chan's life."
Floyd thought as he gulped, "He's more intimidating in person. Is this really the guy that saved her life?"
"Let me guess-" Dabi said, "-You're the Firefly's Classmates from that school you go to. It's no big shock that you two decided to tag along."
Izuku soon shook it off before he looked in the room, "Is Kaa-chan here? Has he talked to Reina-chan?"
"He went to catch up with her-If you catch my drift." Dabi replied, "Best to give them privacy for awhile, don't you think?"
"Catch u-?" Izuku started to say before his face turned red, "O-Oh my!"
Floyd immediately turned red as his head started to steam up, "O-Oh..I-I-I see."
"Why the hell is your face red you perv?" Wan asked with a look.
Floyd immediately shouted, "LIKE HELL YOU WOULD KNOW!"
Wan soon took a wooden plank before she bonked him on the head repeatedly, "Go to horny jail."
"OI, DON'T BONK ME!" Floyd shouted as he retorted by knocking her noggin.
Kiyo only looked stunned by the situation as did the others. "Ar-" Kiyo soon said, "-Are you guys siblings?"
"WE'RE NOT!" The two of them shouted before Wan started to throw fists at Floyd resulting in them sparring in a puff of smoke.
"Yep, 100% siblings." Valentine said nonchalantly as they continued to brawl.
"Totally-" Riichi said, "-But if he kills her before me, I'll take his head."
"Okay you bloodlust junkie." Nira said as she gave him a pat on the shoulder.
Here she was again.
In the arms of the person she had loved and hoped who would move on from her after what had occurred previously.
She had thought that's what would've been and yet here she was.
Both of them bare to each other once again, and neither regretting their actions and both of them at bliss. Their clothes had been on the floor, most of it had been drenched from the very water they sat in as Reina sat on Katsuki's lap; his own back had been against the rim of the tub where the window had been boarded. Her head was resting on his shoulder as she only hummed a particular familiar tune that put him at ease.
Katsuki on the other hand had been playing with her hair which had been long since undone and he had been mostly playing with it as she had been brushing her hand along his arm; his eyes softened at the sight of the scars on her back.
"It really did change from back then." Katsuki thought, "That Quirk of hers was definitely the cause of it. Wonder what it's going to take for it to change back." He soon had a thought come over him as he recalled the conversation from before they left.
When he spoke with her mother.
"That other personality is supposed to be the one consuming her-" He thought, "-And from the way she reacted she wasn't exaggerating. There's gotta be a way for her to come to her senses before that thing-Called Red Queen takes over. But… What could I-"
"So-" Reina soon spoke as he snapped out of his thoughts, "-That was pretty convincing, I gotta admit."
"Glad to know I'm that good." Katsuki said with a confident smile before he kissed her head; His gaze soon softened slightly, "I didn't hurt you did I?"
Reina only shook her head in reply, as Katsuki sighed in relief. She couldn't help but laugh softly, "I have wounds and am basically recuperating-And you're worried about that?"
"It's your own fault, Lollipop Head." Katsuki told her as she flinched at the nickname; though she noticed how red his cheeks had gotten, "You were gone for all these weeks, and-You just kept me waiting alright!"
Reina looked shocked by this before she ended up laughing. "St-Stop that Lollipop Head!" Katsuki said, as his face was still red, "People can get like that you know!"
Reina flinched slightly at the name again. She only gave a soft laugh, "I didn't think I'd hear you call me that again." She soon faced him as she adjusted herself, "And-You just keep surprising me if that wasn't enough. I never actually thought you would come out here to find me-After I asked Izuku-kun to take care of you."
Katsuki sighed as he placed his hand on her own, "I had to come out here. Because I know you do stupid things when you're mad or scared. From the way I see it, it's a bit of both which honestly is the worst place where you would be. Though, after what happened in Hosu and what happened with that Stain guy-I can get why you're feeling like that."
This time, Reina had been silent; he could see her eyes had wandered to the newly formed scar on his chest. Her expression softened as she let out a solemn sigh as he could see her think back to the incident. Her hand had been still as he could feel her shaking this time.
"Just-Tell me-" He soon said, sounding a bit hesitant to even say what he wanted to ask, "-Why?"
Reina still looked nervous at this as she backed away from him till her back hit the opposite side of the tub wall before hugging herself.
"Hey-" Katsuki spoke softly, as he approached her, as he moved slowly, till he was at her side again, "-Just talk to me okay? You can always talk to me. After all, you rely on me like I do for you."
Reina still looked nervous as she still kept quiet. He could tell that Reina didn't want to talk about it, and he knew what would happen if tried to push her buttons. With everything that happened, and with the wounds she sustained, he had no idea what she had to go through while she spent her time here, it had been best not to press anything.
Instead… He thought of something else they could talk about.
"This place-Aside from it being crappy, it reminds of that trip we took to see my folks' relatives as annoying as they were." He soon said, as he sat by her side., "During our winter break in Aldrea, you even convinced me to bring Deku. I still don't know how you did it." He laughed at the memory, "That we nearly had a heart attack when we lost my cousin for a little while when we were out in the shopping district. She found us before we could find her."
Katsuki looked to see if he had gotten a reaction, though was a bit disappointed when he saw she didn't even utter a smile.
At least… That's what he thought.
"Now that I think about it-" Reina soon spoke as he looked shocked, "-That's how you understood Fubuki-chan in the first place. You must've spent all that time learning to talk to her since back then-You just talked with that little dry erase board she was always carrying around."
Katsuki looked satisfied at this, as he adjusted himself in the water, "Yeah-Out of all of my family members, probably other then my parents, and you… I can actually talk to her and have fun with her. She likes it too. It's more then enough attention she gets from that step mom of hers."
Reina nodded as she soon smiled, "She really loved that camping trip that summer-I did too."
Katsuki snickered, "You even got Deku in on that camping trip too. Even though-You know how rusty our relationship was."
For a few moments she stayed silent before she spoke up again, "I-Was hoping that you two would rekindle that friendship you had when you were kids. Izuku-kun would often talk highly of you, and-Despite everything he still looks up to you like you were his own brother."
"Well-" He soon said, "-You can feel some accomplishment. Because, I actually had fun, even when it was with Deku."
Her expression brightened at this as she looked at him surprised. He soon gave a rare genuine smile towards her, "As-Much as I don't like to admit it, I-was really happy during those days. I-Never actually thanked you for that. So-Thank you."
He gave her a kiss on the cheek as she turned red.
She soon cleared her throat, "Y-You did pretty amazing things too-" She soon said as she fixed her hair, "-Like-When I was going through that rough time with the whole Black Knights in the middle of my first year.."
Katsuki snorted at this, "I remember punching the shit out of you."
"Hey!" Reina said as she splashed him which made him laugh, "That was my off day you jerk! How was I supposed to know you were gonna fight back?"
"Looks like I got a smile from you after all!" He said before he went to tickle her.
She started to laugh uncontrollably as he tickled her sides, causing the water to splash everywhere, and nearly hit King as he jumped back. He only growled before he settled himself in a different corner of the room as they continued to tickle one another.
Though they were both into it as they ended falling back into the water, submerging themselves. It hadn't been but a few moments later before they resurfaced themselves as they practically spat out the water.
They both saw how ridiculous they looked before they laughed at each other again. He had been glad he had been able to put a smile on her face as he ended up hugging her, which took her back. She was taken back even more when she felt him kissing her neck.
"... I really did miss this, you know." He said, "I missed holding you like this, talking to you. I couldn't even sleep, knowing you were out here."
"You-Had trouble sleeping?" Reina asked worryingly.
"You're not the only one that gets-Nightmares." He told her as she sensed in his voice, it had been shaking, "I-Was so scared for you. You left without saying anything or… Contact me, so I thought…"
"Oh Katsuki-kun…." She said before she returned the hug, "... I didn't know you had to go through something like that…"
This time Katsuki was the one that stayed silent as he only held her tightly, like he was afraid she would disappear. She sighed, "... I-Had trouble sleeping too. Worse then usual since you-" She stopped herself as she couldn't bring herself to finish, "-I… Thought it would be better if-You weren't around a monster like me."
"What makes you think you are one?" He asked.
"You saw the news didn't you…?" She asked as her voice sounded soft, "... How much more proof do you need that I am one?"
Katsuki's expression soon softened at this response as all he could was stay quiet. He could feel her heartbeat as he could feel it accelerate just from anxiety alone. He soon moved down from her neck before Reina could feel him give butterfly kisses on her chest.
"Who-Whoa whoa!" Reina exclaimed as he continued, "He-Hey! Hey! What are you doing?!"
"... I think-You were lying earlier." He said as he continued making her squirm, "I don't think you're convinced. So-I'm just gonna have to show it to you, again."
Reina's face could only heat up at what he had been suggesting alone, "H-Hang on, we just-"
"There's no harm in doing it again." He told her, giving her a sly smirk, "You saying you don't want to?"
At that point, Reina felt herself heat up but squirmed again when he started. "To-Touche." She managed to utter as she allowed him to continue. He kissed up to her neck till she found his lips connecting to hers once more; she put both of her arms around him. But-
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The two of them jumped and immediately stopped what they were doing. She noticed Katsuki's brow twitched as he got his glare on at the sound of-
"OI PISSHEAD! VAPORWAVE HAIR! YOU'RE BOTH MINORS! IS THIS REALLY THE TIME FOR THAT?!"
"...God Damn Ink Boy.." Katsuki growled.
"Vapor-what?" Reina said, just looking plain confused.
Floyd's voice came through the door again, "DON'T YOU MAKE ME COME IN THERE!"
"DO THAT AND I'LL KILL YOU MYSELF HALF-BREED!" Katsuki shouted.
"Katsuki-kun-" Reina said, as she looked confused, "-Who is that?"
Katsuki looked a bit shocked at this, "Wait-You don't know who he is?"
"... Should I?" She asked as she tilted her head, "Is he a friend of Izuku-kun's? I know how you are with new people."
At this Katsuki processed this sort of information as he had a thought come over him, "No way-Is that what the Red Queen's been doing? She's making her forget about anyone close to her? No that doesn't sound right-She's making her forget what she treasures most." Reina had been taken back when she noticed his glare had intensified, "That damn little bitch-!"
"Hey-" Reina soon said, "-Are you-"
Floyd soon shouted through the door, "ON THE COUNT OF THREE, IMMA COME IN AND BREAK THROUGH! ONE, TWO-"
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!" Katsuki shouted, "UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE US IN OUR BIRTHDAY SUITS, THEN GIVE US THREE MINUTES TO PUT ON SOME CLOTHES!"
Floyd shouted again, "THEN DON'T GIVE ME A REASON TO BREAK IN!"
"This guy seems a bit pushy." Reina thought.
Katsuki soon got out of the water as Reina immediately turned her head; she could hear him snicker, "You're embarrassed now?"
"H-How do you expect me to react?" Reina said as she turned red.
"Like I said-It's nothing I haven't seen before." He told her as he managed to find some dry clothes in a bag he had brought in earlier, "Now hurry up and get out before you become a prune."
"Wh-While you're still in here!?" She exclaimed as she turned red.
"I'm the only guy that'll get to see you." Katsuki said, as her face turned even redder, "You're all mine."
Reina only puffed her cheeks before she splashed in his direction as he laughed; though he ended up jumping back as he took his bag.
Though Reina still pouted, she had a small smile on her face as she soon removed herself from the tub and went to grab her own bag to get herself her own set of draw clothing.
"You really are impossible." Was all she could comment on as she could hear him chuckle again.
It had been only a few minutes, but Katsuki and Reina had gotten dressed and quickly returned to the room. Her hand had been in Katsuki's the whole way they had gone back. They both had been wearing the outfits they had in their bags they had prepared just in case.
Thankfully, her bomber jacket and her new scarf had been the only things that had been dry as she had wore a blue shirt with gray arm warmers, covering her bandaged arm and arm brace. She had on light blue pants with a set of black boots as well.
At one point Reina nearly stumbled to the ground, were it not for Katsuki and King; she groaned in agony as she felt her leg acting up.
"You good?" Katsuki asked as he massaged her back.
"Y-Yeah." Reina replied, "My leg just started acting up. A-And maybe my fever. Still can't believe we did it, you might catch my illness too you know?"
"Like I can get sick just from that." He said before asking, "Do you need me to carry you by the way?"
Reina shook her head, "I'll be okay-I just need a minute to collect myself."
Katsuki nodded as he waited patiently for her to get her bearings. King quickly went to her side before he gave her a nudge. She smiled as she leaned on him, "Thanks boy."
Katsuki couldn't help but smile, "Looks like I'm not the only one that found a good dog."
"It's more like he found me." Reina said.
"What did you name him?"
"Since he reminded me of you-I named him King."
Katsuki had let out a dramatic gasp, "How dare you, I'm gonna sue you for copyright."
Reina giggled, "I don't care, fight me."
"Maybe after you heal from all of this." He said jokingly. Reina only responded by hitting him on the chest playfully which only made him laugh. Just as they had gotten close to the room-
"Reina-chan!"
Reina had been taken back when she saw a familiar young boy with green hair and freckles running towards her; a boy with paintbrush-like hair wearing a t-shirt
"Izuku-kun…" She said softly.
Izuku didn't hesitate as he put his arms around her causing her to nearly stumble. "Reina-chan!" He said before he said softly so that Katsuki couldn't hear, "I'm so glad to see you in person again."
Reina couldn't help but smile as she hugged him back, "I'm glad too." She replied softly before thinking, "It's warm… Thank goodness, I'm not dreaming."
Izuku soon realized the wounds she had as he quickly backed off, "S-Sorry! Did I hug you too hard? Did anything hurt?!"
Reina only laughed, "No you little dork-You didn't hurt me. You never could." She soon wiped away a stray tear, "As much as I should be mad at you for coming here-" She soon placed her hand on his cheek, "-I'm really glad that you're here in one piece with Katsuki-kun. Though then again-I wouldn't have any doubts on you surviving here."
Izuku soon gave a soft laugh as he had tears forming his eyes as well, "Reina-chan… We have a lot to talk about."
"That we do brother-" She said knowing what he had been talking about, "-That we do."
"He's not the only one you're gonna have to talk to!" Wan soon said as she stepped forward.
Reina flinched slightly as she had seen the looks on her old/new ones faces. "Oh-" She said sheepishly, "-Hey guys."
"You got a WHOLE lot of nerve for not saying shit Witch." Riichi said as Reina shrank at his glare.
"Hon-" Valentine soon said, as his look softened, "-We know why you left the cities now. We-Know about Hosu and-What the media has been saying about you."
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Nira asked as she tugged on her jacket.
The look on Reina's face changed as she looked to have a fearful look. She stayed silent as she tried to collect her thoughts. "-I-" Reina soon said.
"What did you expect?" Dabi soon said as he stepped into the hall, leaning against the doorframe, "She's got a lot on her mind. Sides-You should know by now, people in the Underworld's Hell don't worry about things like that."
"Dabi-kun-" Reina said, a bit shocked.
Wan sighed, "I guess you make a good point. But don't expect us to drop it anytime soon."
Reina only looked nervous at this before she laughed sheepishly, "Y-Yeah, sorry." She cleared her throat, "I promise, I'll explain it later, after I-Gather my thoughts."
"Reina-chan!" Floyd said as he went over to her, "I'm so glad you're-"
Reina suddenly backed up from him and prevented him from hugging her as most of them looked shocked. "Reina-chan, what's wrong?" Izuku asked.
"I-I'm sorry." Reina said to Floyd, "Have we met before?"
At this-Wan, Riichi, Valentine, and even Dabi, Kiyo and Nanami looked at Floyd suspiciously as Floyd himself remained calm.
"Reina-chan-" Izuku said shocked
"I thought you said you were her friend?" Kiyo said.
Floyd had said to Kiyo, "I am."
"You are?" Reina asked, a bit shocked, "But-I've never seen you before."
"What the hell?" Dabi said, "Firefly, you talked about him to me before. You even have a video of you pulling a prank with him."
Reina only looked even more confused at this sort of thing, "When did I say a thing like that?"
Dabi only looked shocked by this sort of thing, "What the hell?"
Izuku only backed up as he only looked shocked, "What's going on? How come she doesn't remember Floyd-san?"
"But that doesn't make any sense-" Jaeger said, "-He's already told us you were her friend."
It hadn't been long before it seemed to have clicked with Wan and Riichi as their eyes widened as they looked at one another. "Crap-I know what this is." Wan said as Reina had been in that moment had been trying to process what she had been hearing.
"Wait, you do?" Kiyo asked.
"I don't know exactly what it is she went through before she was brought to the Clinic-" Wan soon said, "-But apparently when she took up residence with us and whatever trauma she went through, she started to forget certain things, including people she already knew."
Izuku and the others looked shocked; Nanami however had a different reaction as she looked to have a somewhat nervous look.
"You mean-Her Quirk did that?" Izuku asked.
"That's what Shimizu told her colleagues, but they didn't really buy it." Riichi replied.
"Then how the hell do we get her to remember him?" Katsuki asked, "That doctor found a way didn't she?"
Wan and Riichi nodded in reply as Izuku looked relieved with the others.
"Then how do you get her to jog her memory?" Dabi asked.
"Well, we don't know exactly how it was-" Riichi replied, "-But we'd often hear Shimizu tell her a story."
"A story?" Nira asked, "That's it?"
"It wasn't just any story." Wan explained, "It was a story about something only she could know. And after she was done, she never forgot about them again."
"It's the only thing she'll listen to." Riichi said, "If you try anything else she won't buy any of it."
Floyd smiled as he said, "A story you tell huh?"
He got out a sketchbook much to her surprise.
"You… Draw?" Reina asked with a groan.
"Yeah!" Floyd added. "My Late Aunt gave this as a gift! It came in a 20 pack!"
"A 20 pack?!" Riichi and Valentine exclaimed.
"What the hell are you doing?" Wan asked.
Floyd replied before he turned to a set of empty pages and started to draw at a fast pace, "Doing what I do best!"
Reina soon noticed his fingers as they had been made of pens and pencils. "Your-Quirk-" Reina started to say before groaning again.
Floyd soon told her as he had put the finishing touches, "Yep! Runs in the family!"
He soon turned the sketchbook towards Reina as the picture he drew was revealed; she gasped in realization.
"That's-Aldrea!" Reina said.
Floyd soon cleared his throat, "There once was a young man from America. He had been starting his second year in middle school as a transfer. His name-Is Floyd Norman Aihara." He soon whispered as he had a smile, "That's me by the way."
He soon flipped the page as it had been of their classroom. She noticed that herself, Izuku and Katsuki had been in the sketch.
Floyd soon continued, as he pointed to Izuku and Reina in the picture "He was good friends with these two, The other one well-let's just say they have a hard time getting along."
Katsuki only growled before Floyd snickered; he turned to the next page as she saw herself in PE with Floyd running behind her, "On that same day, the teacher asked Floyd to run. So they did, but she ended up winning."
Much to Reina's shock, she could see the picture start to move as it played a certain scene in her head. She could hear familiar voices as well as a certain boy.
Floyd soon turned to the next page as he continued, "After that he would often challenge her to these, but she'd avoid him since he made the wrong impression." He turned to the next as Reina could see a familiar scene in the cafeteria play in her head, "Until-He got his chance after she saved him from getting expelled."
The voices in her head began to go off again; once more the picture started to move, as she could see the scene playing off. She soon felt a familiar pain in shoulder as she could feel something blunt hit her in the shoulder.
Floyd soon continued, as he turned to the next page, "She and Floyd-Made amends and once they talked to each other about the situation. Turns out, the two have more in common than they think. Almost enough that Floyd fell in love with her-" He had a soft smile before he added. "Though she already loved someone else. But that's okay. That doesn't stop him and her from being best friends! And as long as she was happy-Then he was happy too!"
Reina suddenly let out a cry, as everything started to come flooding into her head. Several images passed her by as it came at her like a hurricane. Soon enough-One image in her head had become clear
Her Best Friend-Other than Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugou-Had been the one though had gotten on her nerves… She always saw him as a friend.
"... F-Floyd-san…?" She said tearfully.
Floyd gave a smile as he said. "Long time no see, Vaporwave head."
Izuku sighed with relief, "Thank goodness."
"F-Floyd-san-!" Reina said as she cried, "-It's you-You-"
Floyd soon held out his arms to her, "Come on, you crybaby give me a hug."
Reina couldn't help but hug him as she continued to cry, "Floyd-san-!" She said tearfully, "-Your name was always Floyd-san! I can't believe I forgot about you! My second best friend in the world…"
Floyd gave her a pat on the back as he told her, "There there. It's okay. It's not your fault you forgot about me."
"I'd never thought I'd see you again." She said as she broke out of the hug before she placed her hand on his cheek, "How have you been? Are you doing okay?"
Floyd gave a laugh as he rubbed his nose, "I've been good, been holding out great especially after coming out here."
Reina smiled as she looked relieved, "Good…"
It hadn't been a second later till Floyd started to let out a shriek as Reina caught everyone by surprise when she took his arm and twisted it behind his back.
"WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU GO PUNCHING KATSUKI-KUN, NEARLY KILL AARON-SENPAI AND NOT GO HOME TO YOUR FAMILY, YOU BENDY DEMON RIPOFF?!" She suddenly shouted as she had an angry look in her eyes, "ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE YOURSELF A REASON TO GO TO TARTARUS PRISON!? I GET YOU WERE PISSED IN ALL, BUT THAT STILL DIDN'T GIVE YOU A RIGHT TO LASH OUT LIKE THAT!"
"REINA-CHAN?!" Izuku exclaimed in shock.
"Whoa-I didn't see that coming." Nanami said.
"Me neither." Kiyo said, stunned.
Dabi couldn't help but give a whistle, while Wan and Riichi had been processing what they were seeing. "I legit forgot she can get this mad." Wan said.
"So did I-" Riichi said, "-In a strange way it's kind of nostalgic."
Floyd explained as he cried out in agony, "OW! HEY! WHAT THE HEY!? HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT?!"
"HOW DO YOU THINK!?" Reina yelled, "IZUKU-KUN HAS BEEN KEEPING ME UP TO SPEED ON CURRENT EVENTS YOU INKY DINKY DOOFUS! AND YOU CAN IMAGINE MY SHOCK AND SURPRISE WHEN I HEARD WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING, MISTER INKHEADED MORON!"
Katsuki only snickered at this, "Oh man, I REALLY missed this."
"OH WHEN YOU LEAVE IT'S OKAY, BUT WHEN I DO IT, IT'S SUDDENLY A CRIME!" Floyd said.
"DON'T TRY TO COMPARE ME TO YOU, YOU INKY DOOFUS!" Reina yelled as she twisted his arm further making him shriek, "I'M NOT THE ONE THAT TRIED TO STRAIGHT UP MURDER A FAMILY MEMBER YOU KNOW?! AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE!? SHAME ON YOU!"
"OW! UNCLE! UNCLE!" Floyd exclaimed as he started to tap on the floor, "I GIVE! OKAY?! I GIVE!"
With a huff, Reina finally let go of Floyd as he could only whimper and rubbed his arm. "You're lucky I'm technically recuperating-" Reina said as she crossed her arms, "-Otherwise that would've TEN TIMES worse."
"Yeah Yeah." Floyd said, "God-Is it weird that I kinda missed that?"
"Ooo, getting kinky~!" Valentine said with a wiggle of his eyebrows, causing Floyd to shriek and back up..
"CAN YOU NOT?!" Floyd exclaimed. "GO TO HORNY JAIL!"
"THAT'S MY LINE, I'M GONNA SUE!" Wan shouted.
"Yep you two are def siblings." Riichi said with a monotone look.
"NOT HELPING DEVILMAN!" Wan yelled.
Reina soon noticed a kiss mark next to it; it was some kind of bump on his neck. "What is that on your neck?" She asked as Floyd immediately turned red.
Floyd immediately covered it before he replied with a stammer, "Uhmm, Nothing! It's a mosquito bite. Yeah. I mean it's summer after all."
Reina could only look at him oddly, "Riiiight…" Was all she replied with.
Valentine pried Floyd's hand away from the kiss before he whistled. "Oh? You're already marked. That's too bad. So-Who's the lucky lady or guy?" He soon gasped, "Or is it both~?"
Floyd jumped as he said. "NONE OF YOUR CONCERN!"
"You're not seeing my sister are you?" Wan asked before she glared as she got out her whip, "BECAUSE IF YOU ARE-"
"NO!" Floyd exclaimed. "We may chat and all but We both know Long distance never works out!"
"GOOD." Wan said with a cold look that made Floyd flinch
Reina looked at his phone as she said "Is that Pony on your homescreen?" She soon double-taked, "On a new phone?!"
"Oh now you being Nosy!" Floyd said as turned the phone away.
"But it's on your locked screen." She pointed out as she swiped it before showing him.
He soon shrieked before swiping it back, and putting it back in his pocket, "H-How did THAT get there?!"
"I knew it!" Izuku said, as his eyes lit up, "You have been seeing Pony-san, haven't you?!"
Floyd shrieked as he said, "WHAT?! NO!"
"Oh, so that came full circle?" Katsuki said with a monotone expression, before he had a smirk, "Shitty Hair owes me 20,000 yen."
"You betted on-" Floyd started to say, "-I MEAN-I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!"
Reina soon looked over to Floyd as he started to sweat. "You've got the look…" She soon said.
"Look?" Floyd asked, "What look?"
"The 'I lost my virginity' look-" Reina soon said as Floyd froze while Valentine laughed. She soon patted him on the shoulder as she nodded, "-Welcome to the club."
"Everybody heard that right!" Valentine said, "I taught her that!"
Floyd had said as he just looked plain traumatized, "the-what.."
"Floyd-san I'm gonna level with you-" Reina said, "-Everyone has the look when it happens. I know because-I apparently had it."
Floyd had said as he shook, "EH?!" He soon started to shake her as he shouted, "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH REINA-CHAN!?"
"WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!?" Reina exclaimed.
"Floyd-kun stop-!" Izuku said as he got him to stop, "-She's still injured!"
"AND THAT'S MY GIRLFRIEND YOU'RE ABOUT TO KILL!" Katsuki shouted, as he grabbed him by the head, "LET HER GO DAMN IT!"
As they see the comotion,Wan, Ricchi and Valentine only have a look.
"Are we sure they're friends?" Nira asked as she cleaned out her ear.
"At this point I think he photoshopped those images we sa-" Wan started to say before they noticed that Reina had gone limp causing Floyd to pale. It hadn't been long before Izuku and Floyd let out a shriek.
"FLOYD-SAN!" Izuku shouted in a panic.
Floyd started to panic as he yelled, "OH SHIT! REINA DON'T GO IN THE LIGHT!"
"YOU DAMN BASTARD!" Katsuki yelled as he slapped him, "THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I MEANT!"
"MERCY!" Floyd exclaimed.
"HELL NO!" Katsuki yelled.
"I suddenly have the urge to kick you now." Dabi said as Floyd flinched.
"NO KICKING PLEASE!!" He pleaded.
Jaeger only sighed, "Alright-If all of you are done, I think we can all use the rest." He soon pointed over to Wan and Riichi, "You two-I found some futons we can use, help me get them."
"Right." Wan said as she
"Sure." Riichi said.
Floyd had said as he slumped over, "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
It had been awhile later, but the group managed to settle in a room that had just enough for each of them, despite them being worn out and a bit dirty. The air had been cold around them as they had managed to find some covers or at least, some form of covers to help keep them warm.
They had just about had some food for the night before they all had decided to turn in. Reina had been told all sorts of things by Izuku and Floyd. Like what they had been doing in the Underworld's Hell, and who they had come with.
Izuku, Floyd and even Katsuki seemed to have mentally agreed that for now, they couldn't mention anything about them meeting her mother, or about Danuja, Yanlin and Elechester. Neither of them wanted to see Reina suffer more than she already had out here.
They had been currently catching up, though what Izuku, and Floyd failed to realize… She could still feel afraid for them.
"So wait-" Reina soon said as she had been trying to process what they had told her while she was laying on her back, "-You guys actually fought the Disco King?"
"Yeah-" Izuku replied, "-He made Floyd-san dance to the worst songs, or what he considers worse to him."
Reina couldn't help but laugh, "Please tell me you got a recording of that."
"I think a friend of ours did-" Izuku said, "-Before she helped us."
Reina only laughed again, "That's as good as finding a duck as stubborn as you Floyd-kun. Does she really eat meat?"
Floyd replied, "You have no idea." He soon noticed Penny reaching for the beef Jerky and cheddar cheese before he said. "No! He swiped it away as he said "Bad PenPen! You know you can't eat human food! Here." he got a container of grapes as he said. "Eat your grapes."
"QUACK!" Penny exclaimed.
"Okay-Where did that duck come from?" Wan asked.
"Was she just asleep in your bag the whole time?" Reina asked him.
Floyd replied as he had been tugging a beef jerky bag away from her, "Yeah, I'm not sure how she got in!"
"QUACK!" She shouted before kicking at his hand.
King soon snatched Penny up by her neck, shocking them; he sauntered over to the corner before dropping her and he curled his body around her. Penny had been frozen at that point.
"Aww-" Reina said, "-King really likes her."
Floyd had said shocked, "that's Liking her?"
"Didn't you say he ate birds before you found him?" Valentine asked as it made Floyd and Penny pale.
"Yeah but-" Reina said as she thought about it, "-He only did that because he needed to survive, you know? It doesn't mean he won't be friends with a bird, like a duck or even a chicken."
"So the instinct took over him, huh?" Nira said nonchalantly.
"That's no surprise." Riichi said.
"To be fair, I would've done the same if it meant not starving." Wan said.
Floyd had shouted with worry, "SERIOUSLY?!"
"Well he is technically half of a wolf so it's in his nature." Reina said before she gestured to King, "But look at him, it looks like he knows her."
They looked over as they noticed King had been giving Penny gentle licks on the head, with Penny herself looking embarrassed.
"Q-Quack.." Penny said as she turned red.
"I feel like he's prepping her for a meal." Floyd said.
"Oh you're just paranoid." Reina said while fixing her pillow, "If he was going to eat her, he would've snapped her spine by now."
"DON'T TELL ME THAT!" Floyd shouted.
"Hey, it's the circle of life." She said with a shrug, "What? They don't have Nat Geo in America?"
Floyd had told her, "Yeah But-SERIOUSLY?!"
"Okay everybody-" Nanami said, getting their attention, "-Get plenty of rest. First thing in the morning we'll rendezvous with Kaiya at the shrine, and get the desktop to the others."
"Though just because the Styx's will be gone by morning, it doesn't mean we're out the woods." Jaeger said, "All of you remember that as you take this opportunity to gain your strength. Especially you Young Master." He soon turned over to Nanami and Dabi, "Who's taking the first watch?"
"That'd be me." Dabi said as he raised his hand casually.
With a nod, Jaeger and Nanami went over to where they would be sleeping.
"Wake us up if there's any trouble, not a second sooner." He told him.
Dabi merely waved his hand before he went to step out of the room. Just before he did, he stopped for a moment.
"Firefly-" He said as Reina flinched slightly, "-Mind if I get a word with you?"
"Sure." She said before she stood, "Izuku-kun, Floyd-kun-It's uh-Been good talking to you. Get some sleep okay?"
"Only if you do." Izuku said as he shut his eyes.
"See you in the morning, Reina-chan." Floyd said with a yawn as he went to sleep.
Wan, Riichi, Nira, and Valentine fell asleep soon after as Reina couldn't help giving a soft look at the way they slept. For a moment she looked over to Katsuki who had been long since asleep as she smiled a little before she went over to Dabi, as they stood out in the hall; out of earshot.
"So-" Dabi soon said as leaned against the wall, "-I knew you had a boyfriend, but I didn't think you would fall for a hothead like that guy."
"Is it really that surprising?" Reina asked him.
"Nah-Now that I've actually met him, I can see why it works between the two of you." He said, as Reina's look changed slightly.
Dabi soon emitted a small blue flame from his finger as he lit up a cigarette he took out, "So-Does this change your plans for afterwards?"
Reina looked at him a bit shocked.
"I mean-" Dabi said, "-I assumed you wanted to go to America with Nanami, seeing as how she is your family after all."
Reina only sighed as she rubbed her arm, "I-I don't know… As much as I would like to live with my sister-I don't know if I can just… Leave Japan entirely…" Her hands shook slightly as she hugged herself again, "... Despite everything, I still have a life here, and people I still care about. I-Don't think I can just let that all go at the drop of a hat."
Dabi only stayed silent as he listened to what she had to say; he could see how unsettled she was by talking about it. He soon placed his hand on her shoulder as he gave her a couple of pats.
"Any normal person would be mad at their loved ones for lying to them but-I can't bring myself to do that." Reina said, "I still love them, despite everything they did. They saved me, and Shota-He raised me all on his own and has been there for me… I just… Don't know what to do."
"... In other words you're not sure what it is you should do?" Dabi said.
Reina could only nod as she turned her head to the ceiling, as she could feel her anxiety get the better of her. At that moment, a certain thought came to him as he tossed his cigarette aside.
"Give me your hand." He told her.
Reina had been a little taken back by this, "Why?"
"I'm trying to do something nice for you-" He said, "-Now come on."
Reina had been a little hesitant, but she gave him her hand. "Keep it still-" He told her. Reina's eyes practically lit up as she watched Dabi's flames formed what looked to be a flower; a rose from what she could tell. The flames danced as the gentle breeze blew against it.
"Oh my-" She said in awe.
"When-I was getting used to my Quirk as a kid, I'd often do tricks like this just to pass the time." Dabi said, "And, it helped me keep a level head when I was alone."
Reina looked confused at this sort of thing as she looked at him with a softened gaze. "Before you ask-" Dabi said, "-It was WAY before I came out here."
"You were… Alone growing up?" Reina asked him.
"Yeah-" He replied, "-It was a different kind of loneliness you're thinking of."
"Then-Is it okay if I ask what happened?"
Dabi sighed, "It's as complicated as your life, but-I guess I was just a kid who just wanted to be recognized by their father."
Reina couldn't help but lightly gasp as she had a look of shock.
"The only thing I knew from life was wanting to be something I wasn't-" Dabi said, "-So I guess that's something you and I might have in common. In the end, he ended up leaving me behind in favor of something new. For then till now I hated him for it. And worst of all-He's the one responsible for making me the man I am today."
"Then-" Reina soon said, "-Was your father not a good man?"
Dabi only huffed, "Yeah-That's a good way to put it."
Reina's look softened again, "You know, all those years growing up not knowing anything… I used to look at all the other kids with their mom and dad, and see how happy they were. I-Was actually jealous of what they had, because I was a girl who didn't have anyone like that-Or rather… I couldn't remember my own parents. I used to dream about being like them… Having a family like they did-Having a mom and dad that loved me for who I was instead of being scared of me. But I guess families aren't all that they're cracked up to be huh?"
"It goes to show you how much people judge a book by its cover." Dabi said, "But I don't blame you for thinking that way. Sides-I'm the one that's jealous of you."
Once more, she looked shocked, "Seriously?"
"Listen, I know you've been through hell and back-What with everyone calling you a criminal and people wanting you dead for something you weren't even a part of." He said, "Aside from all that, I'll admit, I'm jealous. You basically got to go start a clean slate. I look up to your mom, sure, but I don't know the kind of person she was. Maybe she was a good mom, or a bad one I don't know. Either way, compared to the stories that brought us, you got closer to a normal life better than I ever could."
Reina had taken a moment to process this. Never before had someone admitted they were jealous; not because of praise from the other Pros, not because of the attention she had gotten from the teachers… But because, she started over with a clean slate.
In a strange way-She was actually glad to hear it.
"That's the first time-I ever heard someone say that to me." Reina said as this time Dabi looked shocked; She gave him a familiar smile, "It's nice to see you don't genuinely hate me."
Dabi only gave her a look before nudging her shoulder, "I don't hate you kid. You're basically the first real friend I've got. Friends-They stick together or well how that saying goes."
Reina could only laugh, "Yeah-Right."
Dabi gave her a pat on the head as she laughed softly.
"We've got our own problems, but-At least we were honest with each other about them." Dabi said, "It kind of felt good to let that off my chest actually."
"Me too. But-I still don't know what I'm going to do."
"Well, considering the way things are going… You've got all the time in the world to think about what you want to do. Just know-Whatever choice you make, if they're not willing to stick by you for it-Know you've got someone like me watching your back."
Reina held her smile before she gave him a hug, "Thank you…"
Dabi only hugged her back as he gave her a pat on the back. "You better go and get some sleep." He said, "Who knows what's gonna happen when morning comes."
Reina nodded before she went back towards the room; though not before-
"Hey kid-" He soon said as Reina stopped to turn back to him, "-Hope it all works out with you and your boyfriend."
Reina's look changed before she gave him a genuine smile, "I hope so too."
With that being said, Reina went back into the room as she went towards the futon and laid down, as she turned to her side. She was soon startled when she felt a set of arms go around her waist, though she quickly calmed down when she heard a familiar voice.
"Calm down-" Katsuki said, "-It's just me."
"... I thought you went to sleep earlier." Reina said.
"I did tell you before-" Katsuki said softly, "-You're not the only one that has trouble sleeping." She could feel him snuggle into her shoulder as Reina only blushed at this. She caressed his arm, as she had been careful with her casted arm.
"... Do you think you'll be able to sleep well?" Reina asked softly.
She felt Katsuki kiss her neck as she gave him a pat on the head, "... Will you?"
She soon turned to her head as she had now been facing him; she soon leaned forward till her lips connected to his lips, and he happily kissed her back.
"... I think I'll be okay." She said as she hugged him back, "... Just… Don't let me go."
Katsuki could feel her shaking but he had tightened his grip on her slightly as he could feel himself drift into his own slumber, "Never…"
