A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of the Riverdale project featuring the Hawthorne family. So first off, I hope you guys are staying healthy, keeping your distance, and continuing to follow public health guidelines. Second, I want to thank you guys for liking the story so far and seeing how it goes. And third, this is the chapter that you guys have been waiting and anticipating for since the beginning of the story. In this tenth chapter, the afterparty at the Blossom residence in Thornhill, the discovery of Jason Blossom's dead body. So, this is chapter ten, and here we go.

I really don't have to keep repeating the same statement.

After the semi-formal, Cheryl invited everyone for the afterparty at her mansion in Thornhill, having planned to keep the excitement going. The twins, along with the attendees, sat on the couches, waiting to see what the head of the River Vixen had planned.

"It's game time at Chez Blossom, kiddies." Cheryl announced to the student body.

'This is either good or bad for an afterparty.' Leia thought.

She stood in front a fireplace in the living room, wearing a sexy red dress and heels. Her scarlet hair hung on the left side of her shoulder. The queen bee held an empty bottle.

"We're going old-school tonight. Seven Minutes in Heaven." Cheryl explained to the students who were sitting on the couches.

Luke sat across from his sister, Betty and Veronica, with Archie standing across from the three newly River Vixens. Unaware of what Cheryl has planned for Archie, Betty, and Veronica, Luke and Leia had the same thought. They were gonna play a game of spin the bottle.

"Who wants to tryst in the closet of love first?" Cheryl asked. "My vote is A for Archie."

She, Betty, and Veronica turned their gaze towards the male red head. Luke's eyes widened in alarm, urging himself to ask Archie if he had thought this through first.

"Anyone care to second it?" Cheryl added.

"Wait actually…" Archie began to say.

"Yes, Andrews. Yes." Reggie interrupts with a hint of enthusiasm.

The older Hawthorne mentally smacked himself in the face. Reggie was having too much fun.

"All right, gather around, kids." Cheryl said. "Let's see who rides the ginger stallion tonight."

Jason's twin sister bent down and spun the bottle on the table. Everyone waited with deep breath to see who would join Archie tonight.

At last, the bottle stopped spinning and pointed in Veronica's direction.

"Oh, no way," Reggie commented.

Veronica and Betty looked at each other in disbelief. They even caught Archie's gaze, who looked a bit surprised.

'This is not good. Archie needs to come up with something to back off from this spin the bottle thing.' thought Luke.

"It's clearly pointing to the new girl," said Cheryl, slightly smirking. "This should be fun."

"Um, I'm not doing this," said Veronica.

"Archie, please tell me that you thought this through." said Luke.

"That's up to you," Cheryl said. "But if you don't…house rules declares the hostess gets to take your turn."

Veronica hesitates before going into the closet with Archie. Things were not looking too bright for Archie and Veronica.

Leia quickly sat down beside Betty, as the blonde needed some comfort. Luke decided to let his sister talk to Betty, maybe find a way to let her know that Archie and Veronica aren't really a thing. Luke just observed at the closet, and he sees something unexpected. Archie and Veronica were making out. When Betty sees this, she quickly got up and ran out of the mansion as Leia followed her best friend.

The closet door opens as Veronica and Archie emerged, looking a little flustered.

"Nailed it." Reggie remarked, looking at the duo. "Yes."

"Reggie, you are having way too much tonight. You need to save your energy for our upcoming football games." Luke commented.

Archie and Veronica scanned the room for Betty, only to find the blonde gone.

"Where's Betty?" Veronica asked.

"She took off. She kind of lost it after seeing you and Archie making out in the closet. And my sister followed her out of the mansion, thanks to this River Vixen here." Luke replied as he jabbed his thumb at Cheryl's direction.

"You shady bitch." Veronica sneered, glaring at the flame haired girl, before taking off.

Archie shook his head, frowning. He follows Veronica.

Cheryl simply wore an expression of innocence.

"How about we just call it a night. I think we all had way too much fun tonight." Luke offered.

The attendees agreed, as they got up, got their jackets, and left the mansion. Being the last one to leave, Luke puts on his jacket and went to find his sister. As he left the mansion, there was no sign of Betty anywhere.

"Hey, where's Betty?" he asked his sister.

"She went home. She said she needed some time alone to herself." she replied.

"That's just dandy. Whenever we attend a party and participate in spin the bottle, it goes wrong and now this happened." said Luke.

"We should head home. I don't want mom and dad to worry about us." said Leia.

The twins went home, wanting to forget how the afterparty turned out for them. As they walked through the front door, Luke took off his shoes and Leia took off her flats.

"We're home!" Leia called.

"Hey. How was the semi-formal tonight?" asked Natalie.

"It was okay, mom. But Cheryl invited everyone to the afterparty at her mansion in Thornhill and it didn't turn out well for any of us." Luke replied.

"What makes you say that, son?" asked Daniel.

"Cheryl had planned this spin the bottle game and Archie and Veronica were making out in the closet. And then Betty just lost it and took off." Leia replied.

"So you kids are calling it a night?" asked Natalie.

"Yeah. I think we both went through enough for tonight." Leia replied.

"We're gonna head upstairs and get changed. Good night." said Luke as he and his sister went upstairs to their bedroom and get changed.

Removing his tie, Luke laid down on his bed and looked at the ceiling, wondering if Cheryl had secretly planned the whole spin the bottle game to sabotage Archie, Betty, and Veronica since they were unaware of it. As he got lost in his thoughts, someone knocked on the door and he looked up and his sister stood on the doorway.

"Hey." Leia greeted her brother, as she tried to smile.

"Hey." Luke replied as Leia came in and laid down beside him and looked at the ceiling.

"I never imagined that this night would turn out so bad for us." she said.

"Yeah. I just can't believe that Cheryl had secretly planned the spin the bottle to sabotage our three friends at the mansion tonight." he commented.

"Have you talked to Archie after we left the mansion?" she asked.

"He went to find Betty, but I don't know if they'll ever work things out." he replied.

Just then, Luke's phone rang. He grabbed it from his bedside table and looked at the contact name calling him.

"Hey, Kevin. What's up?" he asked as he answered.

Kevin then started explaining to the older twin about something that he and Moose had found at the Sweetwater River.

"Slow down, Kevin. I can't understand what you're saying." said Luke.

Repeating the same sentence, Luke's brown eyes widened, as he didn't believe what Kevin had just said to him.

"Oh, my God." he muttered as he removed the phone from his ear and hung up.

"Luke, what is it? What's wrong?" Leia asked, concerned.

"Kevin said he and Moose had found Cheryl's missing twin brother Jason Blossom at the bottom of the Sweetwater River. He's dead." Luke replied.

"Oh, my God." she whispered.

The next morning, having explained to their parents about the phone call last night, the Hawthorne family went to the Sweetwater River, having been sealed off as a crime scene by the police. Daniel and Natalie could only glance at their old friends, Fred Andrews, Hermione Lodge, and Hal and Alice Cooper, as well as Penelope and Clifford Blossom. The twins would only glance at their friends, Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle, Kevin Keller, and Jughead Jones. The families observed the body bag being loaded into the ambulance nearby. Leia could only watch Jughead walk away from the crime scene.

From this moment from on, the Hawthorne family knews that things would now be different in this small town of Riverdale, with shadows and dark secrets being revealed.

Jughead's closing narration: By morning, everyone would be talking, texting. And posting about it. We'd all be feeling it. That the world around us has changed, maybe forever. That Riverdale wasn't the same town as before. That it was a town of shadows and secrets now. On Monday, the autopsy on Jason's body would take place. And on Tuesday, halfway through the fifth period, the first arrest would be made.

Wow, talk about one of the most anticipating chapters right there. So with the dead body of Jason Blossom being found, things would not be the same. The question that everyone will be asking is who murdered Jason Blossom? In the next chapter, the pep rally and Natalie's reunion with Hermione and meeting Veronica for the first time. Anyway, happy late 4th of July to everyone in the USA.
