Disclaimer: I do not own To Love-Ru
I'll be honest, I haven't really written anything that even makes you think of this story remotely as a To Love-Ru fanfiction, but at least getting back at it helps me practice writing again...anyways, please enjoy while reading.
I-L-I
Uobyn got to see what the bottom of an ocean looked like. The water looked like a swath of paint on her glass; it wasn't very impressive to her. The reason she had to look at it, her flitter couldn't move under the pressure of the water. Even if her machine didn't have artificial air and life support more advanced than any human civilization could conceive, her body could last an entire two weeks without drowning and she could last twenty-two days without food.
She looked at a school of fish, saw a crevasse where bubbles were floating up, and sighed. "What the hell?"
Using the knowledge instilled in her by her father, she closed her eyes. After taking three breaths in from her human looking nose her arms started to change, becoming less of a tangible appendage and more a scythe-esque green crystalline wings attached to both her limbs.
She drew her wings closer until the sharp tips were pressing against one another. While they were together a bioluminescent green ball started to form in-between. Then—a blast of green light erupted from her wings scaring all the fish away.
Although her arms were still alien her face had the same dumbfounded as a student who got a question on a test wrong they thought was the right one.
"I was asking them if they could carry me out of here. Either they got the wrong message or the animals are just as bad as humans."
Without the help of the fish she could only sit in her chair, brooding, thinking about her opinions when she had no clue what the landscape was or how far until she could reach solid land, she just waited until the life support ended and she had to rush through the ocean trying to find the land herself.
Suddenly, she saw the big, metal hull of something big eclipsing the already dark bottom of the ocean.
"Oh look...people sailing at the wrong place at the wrong time." She muttered to herself.
Uobyn turned off the flitter with her own two wings. No power meant no deadbolt stopping her from lifting open the glass. Once it was opened her arms returned to normal—made to look normal like a human's even though she loathed them.
She kicked her her legs and waved her arms practically flying to the surface. She was swimming 100 miles an hour, she stuck her fingers to the hull before she made her climb. Now she could see what was sailing over her, a large vassal was above her. She climbed up, had to grab the anchor sticking out after nearly fumbling off, before she made it to the deck festooned with harpoons, nets, two large doors to the brig, and it smelled like a nzzcint pack with its lid removed that's been sitting in the sun for four weeks—and that smell was extremely abhorrent. She found the source: one of the human seaman was strolling through the ship. She was wafting in the smell of someone who hasn't taken a shower in weeks. He had a black beanie hat, brown eyes, orange beard, yellow coveralls with orange belts for suspenders, and green steel toed fishing boots. He looked at the sea like it was a beautiful girl in a mixer, yes aliens have mixers too, smiling at him.
While he was spacing out looking at the shimmering needled sleets and occasional fish bobbing their heads out of the water, Uobyn hopped down from the railing in a crouched position. She hoped to land without stirring any attention, however, she slipped...her heel making a loud banging noise alerting the seaman to her as he turned around and looked at her.
He was less enraged that there was a stowaway on the vessel and more concerned there was a (italic) lady soaked in water from her toes to her hair. He jogged briskly to a rack festooned with the rest of the equipment and approached her slowly while trying to soothe her with a calming voice.
"It's going to be okay, miss. Me and my friends will dry you off, give you some warm soup and take you back to—"
Before he was even at a distance his finger could touch hers, she moved faster than his eyes could see and gripped her right hand around his throat.
He tried to make one sound while he was being grabbed, but without letting a fleeting moment of time be wasted she threw him off the ship.
She managed to keep things quiet until his lumbering mass went FLOOM! hitting the surface of the water. Now, there were all kinds of people that helped run this ship running up to the deck just to see what made the splash.
She could jump in with the seaman, she could hide beneath the big door that seemed to lead to the bridge, she could even try using her innate ability of changing how she looked to look less guilty and more just a harmless animal squandering around, but she stood perfectly still without even trying to escape the consequences of her actions.
There were now twenty four men on the deck and they all came in six at a time on four sides. They just seemed to not see her looking at themselves for some reason.
"Where's Yoni?" A skinnier version of the man with an orange beard but with a blue beanie and a lighter blue jacket asked. "Yoni? Yoni!"
"Hey miss." A brown bearded man with a dark beanie and yellow jacket said to Uobyn. "Have you seen any orange bearded men around here?"
"I have." She answered. "He was in my way so I threw him overboard. And now—" she shook her hands, cracked her fingers a little, then her arms turned into giant mantis-esque wings again. "I'll deal with you the same way I dealt with him."
