Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail
I can't really tell you how I made it to the world of Fiore-I didn't even know I was in that world until I saw how people looked: the usual appearances of 2D characters but with some speaking incorrigible like characters in a Ralph Bakshi animated movie and some reeking of cologne.
I didn't really know what to do walking in, I froze. My body was stiff but my mind was racing at full-tilt. You'd think being in an anime world the first thing I'd do was look for the MC's so I could mingle with them and maybe discover what my magic was in a world laden with mages right? Wrong.
The first thing I did was walk to a quaint little shop with a brown eyed unblemished skin lady with silky long brown hair and a green dress with a white apron over it working at a florist shop. She wasn't canon but doesn't mean the background characters aren't important in their own ways. At least...I think she's a background character.
"Welcome to my flower shop," she said smiling.
"Hi, can I ask you an unorthodox question?"
She smiled and for some reason held her hand over her mouth.
"Go for it."
"Do you know any places a...visitor can go if they want to learn about the kind of magic they can use?"
She answered without even the slightest bit of curiosity.
"Sure, if you just go on ahead and take a right there's a priest who can see the magic imbued inside you."
I don't remember that being part of Fairy Tail, but I guess it's the world that makes the story and not the story that makes the world.
I started my adventure the same way most Shonen adventure manga's start: power walking through the town before taking tentative steps because people kept walking like they were heading straight at me.
People were doing stuff here not done in the anime or manga: making noise. There were all kinds of things people were saying and doing from the illusion the world was not focused around them, but in this case there really was some focus on them.
Eventually I made it to the path the nice lady told me about, only to end up in a line-everyone in this line the same age as me. They were dressed in clothes and garbs that resembled the attire of my modern era over the stuff people in Fairy Tail wore, which is odd because most characters in Fairy Tail dress like normal people; maybe some have strange clothes but they also wear jackets and jeans.
I stood behind a banged black haired girl wearing a buttonless gray jacket with a red shirt and blue jeans carrying a yellow purse. She was pretty cute; I had nothing to lose trying to talk to her...
My attention changed from her to another girl just walking my way: Lucy Heartfelia.
Lucky me, I was the only one in the line who noticed her. And she noticed me-she noticed a group of people in a line just waiting to get into a small building. She stopped, her face even prettier up close than it was on a screen. She looked at me with those brown eyes, and to my surprise and excitement she actually touched my shoulder.
"Nick, what are you doing standing around here for? You said you didn't feel well enough to go out today."
