Before I forget, to the person who goes by the name of Mariah on Fanfiction and comments on the story. You asked if since Lucy and Adrien exchanged I love yous if they would start dating now. The answer is no. Those weren't romantic I love yous, they were just the kind you say to a person who you care deeply for. At least on Lucy's end. Adrien thought about clarifying, knowing Lucy didn't realize the depth of his words but chose against it. Hope that clears that up for ya!

Adrien sat at his piano playing away with Plagg when Nathalie knocked on his bedroom door. Plagg quickly hid away as Adrien turned to his father's assistant who asked if Adrien was ready to go. Currently, Adrien had a wax statue made of him at Grévin Wax Museum. Most of the statues are made from references but certain parts were cast from their direct source. In Adrien's case, that was his hands. Getting cast was a time-consuming and boring process, and thus the blonde boy looked asked Nathalie if he could bring a friend. For a moment, he considered asking Lucy but remembered that she had told him she had a painting gig today that took her out of the running. Instead, he called Nino.

The last time Adrien had gotten cast his friend had expressed how it would have been cool to tag along and keep him company. However, when Nino answered, it was apparent that he was a package deal with Alya, who then invited Marinette. Marinette tried to decline. She was babysitting. Luckily for Adrien, Nathalie had quite the soft spot for him and was able to make the accommodations so that his three friends, as well as Manon.

"Hi, Veronique." Adrien greeted the curator of the Museum as he and his friends got out of the car. She was a woman of average height with short brunette hair that whisped just above her shoulders. She wore glasses that reminded him of tiger stripes and a simple red dress that cut off just below the knee with matching shoes.

"Thanks for coming on such short notice, Adrien. I'm sorry, but a piece of your statue went missing yet again!" She leads the teens inside. "Just goes to show how popular you are."
Manon looked around in amazement. "Look Marinette, we get to go in, even though it's closed! It's like we're princesses." Marinette ignores the small girls words, too distracted by Adrien's presence. "Hey! Did you hear me?"

Behind them, Alya walks next to Nino and talks to him in a hushed tone. "Be careful this time, right? Marinette's the only one that's gotta spill the beans to Adrien— not us! So no matter what Adrien asks you, just deny. Okay?" Nino looks at his girlfriend and nods while sighing.

"Yeah, fine, but what about Lucy? You and I both know-"

"Adrien hasn't made any moves on Lucy so until he can admit to her that he likes her, nothing is set in stone," Alya argues. Nino holds his hands up in defeat.

"Okay, okay."
Manon runs ahead to the museum's lobby and spots a statue of Jagged Stone and his crocodile Fang. "Ahaha, wheee! Mr. Jagged! Can you give me an 'autygraph,' please?" The girl, not realizing it's a statue pouts. "Why isn't anyone paying attention to me today!?"

Veronique laughs. "That's because this isn't the real Jagged Stone. It's a wax statue of him. The Grévin Wax Museum is the kingdom of illusions!"

"Woah! But he looks for reals!" Manon says in awe before she makes silly at faces the statue, then runs off again.

"The museum opened in 1882. We have about 200 wax statues on exhibition at any one time." Veronique tells them as she leads everyone further into the museum. "We bring new celebrities in on a regular basis, the most recent one being Adrien!"

"So if I've got this right, you and Alya wanna spend some alone time together, yeah?" Adrien asks in reference to the odd car conversation that had happened on the way over when Alya had tried to secretly plan with Nino on ways to get Adrien and Marinette alone together. Nino thinks back on Alya's words about denying Adrien's every assumption.

"Not at all! That's not why we came here at all."

"Oh! Well, then it's really nice of you guys to come here just to keep me company." Adrien says with a smile only for Nino to deny that that was why they came as well. Adrien raised an eyebrow at his friend.

"Really? So why did you want to come here then? Did it have something to do with Marinette?"

"Uh, no! You've got it all wrong, dude." Alya gives him a thumbs up from behind them but Nino can't help but be riddled with anxiety. He didn't like lying to his friend. "Not with Marinette, or with you, and even less with you and Marinette alone by yourselves!" Alya shoots daggers at Nino and signals him to zip it before he complicates things further.

"I'm confused. Marinette wants to be alone with me?" They enter a room full of statues of Parisian Celebrities, including: Sarah, Philippe, Clara Nightingale, Alec Cataldi, XY, Bob Roth, Jagged Stone, Aurore Beauréal, André Bourgeois, Audrey Bourgeois, Nadja Chamack, Mireille Caquet, and Prince Ali. In another section of the room are the statues of Adrien and Gabriel Agreste.

Nino can feel panic rising in him as he looks to his girlfriend for help but gets nothing but an encouraging gesture. "Marinette alone with you? Uh, no way, dude! You couldn't be further from the truth. It's the exact opposite, actually."

Adrien didn't understand. Had he done something to upset Marinette that she wouldn't want to be around him alone?

"Marinette doesn't want to be with me?" He looks back at Marinette sadly, and the girl quickly runs off, calling for Manon. "Does she hate me?" It didn't make sense. Adrien thought he and Marinette had made great progress in their friendship. He considered her one if his close friends these days. Did she not share that sentiment?

"No, no! Dude, she likes you a lot! I mean, no! I mean, yes? I mean... barely! She barely likes you a lot, so there you have it." Nino explains as his insides twisted. So much for not making things any more complicated.

"You sure? I'd be really bummed if I knew Marinette didn't like me." Nino sighs and the group enters the elevator. Alya glares at Nino, who smiles nervously. What was he supposed to do?

Rewinding a bit, while Nino was trying his best not to make this situation any weirder, Alya was pep talking Marinette.

"The museum opened in 1882. We have about 200 wax statues..."

"Why did you tell Nino everything? You promised you wouldn't." Marinette shot at Alya who remained in denial.

"I didn't, I swear! Besides, even if I had told him everything, he would still be clueless. Ugh! Who cares anyway? I've set everything up with Nino, who doesn't know a thing, so you can finally pour your heart out to Adrien, girl!"

"Wait, what?"

"We'll take off, leaving you two solo. Then you can spill your beans."

"No! Not like that! I'm so not ready. I'd have to practice first and wash my hair, and I'm not even wearing my lucky socks. Plus, if you have already forgotten! He already confessed his feelings to me for another girl! You know, our friend Lucy!?" They walk into the room full of Parisian Celebrities.

Alya shrugs. "It's up to you, girl. But I'm just telling you: today's the day. Until Adrien actually asks Lucy out, it's anyone's game."

Marinette's shoulders slumped. Anyone's game huh? Then why did she feel like she already lost?

OoOoOo

"Welcome to the workshop!" The curator said. "This is where our sculptors create and repair all of our statues." She takes the group to an adjacent room. "And this is where we store our wax. It comes straight from our very own beehives up on the roof of the museum." The room had a number of busts and fake body parts in it sitting on several tables around the room. In the main part of the workshop, Theo, the man who had created the Ladybug and Chat Noir statues waited for them.

"So I heard we have to do your hand again. Right, Veronique?" He asked and Veronique nodded.

"Oh," A voice spoke. "Hey, guys." The teens turned their heads to find Lucy sitting at one of the tables nearby with an airbrush in hand. In front of her was a chest piece of Thomas Astruc that she was color correcting.

"Lucy!" Adrien addressed her first. "This was the gig you were talking about?" Lucy nodded.

"Yup, this is the one. Did someone steal a piece of you're statue again? She then asked with a laugh. "That's so odd. I wonder what they do with it." She wiggled her eyebrows at Adrien, making him cringe. "At least you got some company this time." She gestured to their other friends.

"Since when do you work here?" Alya asked, crossing her arms. Lucy shrugged.

"A few weeks, though it's not really a steady job. Just a side gig type deal. I've actually worked on Adrien's statue before too in the past."

"As she will again," Theo commented as he set Adrien's cast. Veronique's phone chimed and she and Theo excused themselves, saying they would be back momentarily, leaving the teens in the back room.

"This is a super cool gig you got Lucy-goosey!" Nino complimented as he overlooked what she was currently working on.

Everyone begins to look around and Manon tries to get Marinette to play hide and seek with her. Marinette declines, saying that the whole point of them being there was to keep Adrien company. Alya send Nino a wink.

"We'll play with you. Marinette, you take good care of Adrien. He must not get bored a single second!"

"Uh, what? But I—! No! Don't leave me with him!" They shut the door before she can leave. Adrien looks down at the floor. I mean— That's not what I meant to say... I just... I..." Lucy looks between Marinette and Adrien with confusion. Did something happen?

"Are you mad at me, Marinette?" Adrien then asks.

In her nervousness, Marinette knocks over a bucket of fake eyeballs and goes to pick them up. "No! Of course not. Why would you say that?"

"Because Nino told me..."

"I have no idea what Nino told you, but whatever he said, it's totally not true."

"Oh, so that means you like me, right? I was afraid you didn't like me." Lucy snorts from across the room as Marinette looks at Adrien wide-eyed.

" Of course I like you... Well, like, uh, like! But, not like that! What I mean is, you're not exactly a 'good friend,' you know?"

"Uh, okay... " Adrien mutters sadly. Marinette groans and looks to Lucy who mouths 'What the fuck?' to her. "But then, if I'm not a good friend, what am I to you?" Adrien asks and Marinette goes into panic mode.

"You're..." struggles to get the words out. "Toilets! I— I really gotta go to the toilet now. Eee!" She then runs out of the room, leaving Lucy and Adrien alone. Adrien sighs sadly.

"See you later."

Lucy looks from the door to Adrien and raises an eyebrow. "What in the world was that all about?" Adrien shrugs.

"I don't really know. It seems I must have accidentally done something to make Marinette upset with me. I'm such an idiot." Getting up from her seat Lucy made her way over to Adrien and leaned against the counter his arm was cast in.

"You're not an idiot." She told him. "I'm sure this is all some miscommunication situation. With Marinette it usually is."

"But what if it's not?" Adrien argued. "You know how much Marinette's friendship means to me, Lucy. What if I really did do something to upset her somehow?" With a sigh, Lucy got off the counter and moved behind Adrien, placing her hands on his shoulder.

"Listen, you stay here and finish your arm. I will go find Marinette and we will clear this whole mess up alright?"

"Alright..." Adrien muttered his voice still laced with uncertainty as Lucy left the room.

OoOoOoO

Downstairs, Lucy made her way to the bathroom in the assumption that that was in fact where Marinette had gone. The girl was a mess. Why was it so hard for her to just be normal around Adrien? He wanted to be her friend so badly and here she was making it seem like he didn't matter at all to her. Lucy was sure it would never make sense to her.

"Marinette!" Lucy called into the bathroom. She had clearly startled the girl as a yelp of surprise came from one of the stalls.

"Lucy!" Marinette answered. "What are you doing here?" Marinette stepped out of the stall and found Lucy standing by the sinks with her hands on her hips.

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here? You just told Adrien he wasn't a good friend and ran out of the room. The poor guy is sitting there thinking he did something to make you not want to be his friend anymore." Marinette moaned in frustration.

"Why am I like this!?"

"Why are you so frazzled to begin with?" Lucy asked. "I mean, you're always frazzled around Adrien but..." Sighing, Marinette leans against the sink and hangs her head down low.

"Alya tried to set me up to be alone with Adrien so I could confess my feeling to him. I don't know what Nino told him but I got so worked up that Adrien might figure me out before I had the chance to confront him about it that I panicked and now he thinks I don't want to be his friend."

"Marinette, Alya means well," Lucy told her. "I truly believe that. She just wants you to be happy and feels the need to give you the right nudge to achieve that happiness but..." She trailed off, making Marinette look up at her.

"Only you will know when the right time is to talk to Adrien about your feelings. When the time is right, you will know it, okay?" The pigtailed girl nodded.

"You're right, I shouldn't force it."

The two girls exit the bathroom and Lucy pats Marinette on the back. "Now, you need to tell Adrien you still want to be his friend. Tough it out and don't overthink it."

"Right!" Marinette said. "I got this. I'm cool! No problem. Ah!" She jumps at the sight of Adrien but then quickly calms down. "Oh, it's just a statue. How come I didn't see this earlier? It looks so...real..." From beside her, Lucy examined the 'statue'. As she mentioned before. She had worked on the Adrien statue and this...this was not it. The biggest giveaway was that this one had both its hands. Marinette didn't seem to notice, however, instead, she stood marveling at the boy. Adrien shifted his eyes and met Lucy's stare. The girl gave him an unimpressed look but he just sent her a quick wink and continued to stay frozen in place. Lucy drummed her fingers on her folded arms as an idea popped into her head.

"You know Marinette, maybe this is a good way to practice." Marinette took a step back from the 'statue' and raised an eyebrow at Lucy.

"Practice...?"

"Talking to Adrien like a normal human," Lucy explained. "Like so," Lucy took a step forward and placed a hand on Marinette's shoulder while looking at Adrien.

"Hi, Adrien. Sorry to make things weird back there. I get a little tongue-tied sometimes and then the embracement ends up leading me to make it worse. I just want you to know, that I love you and value our friendship dearly."

"I love you!?" Marinette screeches making Lucy laugh.

"Well, you don't have to say I love you if that's too much for you Marinette. Just skip that part."

"Wait! Do you tell Adrien you love him?!" She asks with wide eyes. Lucy chuckles.

"Yes. Because I do. Adrien is a very important person to me Marinette, and I am comfortable expressing that."

"You love...Adrien..." Marinette mutters, mostly to herself making Lucy sigh in mild annoyance.

"You're only hearing a piece of what I'm saying. Mari, it's important to tell the people that we care about, that we care about them. You can show it through a number of ways but sometimes it's just nice to hear it, you know?" She pauses thoughtfully. "It's always necessary."

With a deep inhale and exhale Marinette looked at the 'statue' with determination. She tried to suppress her own negativity. She knew Adrien had feelings for Lucy. And it felt wrong to keep trying to confess to him while she knew that, but Marinette worried that if she didn't do it one day then she would live with regret and be stuck in constant wonder of what could have been. But Lucy was right. Only she herself would know when she was ready to lay everything out on the table for Adrien. In the meantime, what couldn't wait, was finding the courage to express to Adrien that she cared about him. That regardless of the romantic feelings she may be harboring, she too valued their friendship. She looked at the 'statue' and sighed in admiration.

"I wish I knew how to express myself better. Oh, beautiful statue of Adrien, your wax is so soft! Your yak hair is silky. Your eyes are so green." Marinette says, twirling around him. "Oh, shall I be a statue, too! Everything would be so much easier."

Lucy's eyes widen as she hesitantly reaches towards he friend. "Um, Marinette..."

"Why haven't we been molded together in the plaster of destiny? Marble to marble, wax lips against wax lips, entwined for eternity... Ah..." She embraces the 'statue and brings her lips closer to his and Lucy begins waving her arms in panic. Abort Abort!

Adrien jumps out of Marinette's grasp. "Whoa—! Eternity sounds like a long time...!" He tries to joke as Lucy slaps her forehead with her palm. Marinette yelps in surprise and Adrien tries to explain himself.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you, it was just a prank, that's all..." Marinette pounds her fists on his chest.

"Not funny, not funny at all!" She cries before running off.

Lucy tries to hold back a laugh as Adrien looks to her for help.

"You're a fucking idiot."

"Hey! You could have rated me out from the beginning!"

"I didn't know she was gonna do all that!" Lucy covers her mouth with her hands. "Oh, gosh. I'm sorry it's not funny." Adrien shoves Lucy lightly and goes over to Marinette who held her head in her hands on a bench.

"Forgive me... even after all these months with you guys I guess I'm still not used to being a good friend..." Marinette looks over to Adrien who has his head hung in shame. She glances over to Lucy who gives her a 'come on' look while gesturing towards the guilt-ridden Adrien. Right. Once again, in her own embarrassment, Marinette had forgotten that Adrien was under the impression that she didn't want to be his friend anymore. If she had just done what Lucy told her, and expressed the importance of their friendship, then none of this would even be a problem. It wasn't Adrien's fault she embarrassed herself in front of him. It never really was.

"Were you serious when you were talking to the statue? I mean... me as a statue?" Adrien then asks, and now Marinette can feel herself begin to panic again.

"Serious? Me?" She lets out a fake laugh. "You gotta be kidding! I'm the queen of pranks! I knew you were playing a prank on me, so I just wanted to get you back! Gotcha!" Another forced laugh exited her lungs and off to the side Lucy rolls her eyes.

So," Adrien started slowly. "you didn't really mean all the things you just said?"

"Of course not, I was role-playing!" Marinette explained. "I was in love with a statue, not with you! If I'd feel anything for you, it wouldn't be like for that statue, rather like, for a... regular human being!"

"Wow," Lucy muttered, only to be ignored.

"Okay... So, as I am a human being, you must still like me a bit then, right?" Marinette looks up from Adrien to Lucy who rolls her hands at her with a nod. Marinette shoots finger guns at Adrien.

"That's right, I like you a little bit, just like a regular human being!" She forces some more laughter and turns away from Adrien. "Can somebody throw me into a vat of wax right now, please?"

The three teens gasp as they spot Hawkmoth across the room He attacks, and Adrien grabs an umbrella from a statue of Aurore to defend Marinette and Lucy.

"Marinette! Lucy! Go get some help!" Adrien shouts only for a girl's voice to come over the intercom

"Oh, no! You're going to stay and play with me this time!"

"Manon!?" They all say in unison.

"Nope! I am the Puppeteer, and I wanna play with you and my statues!"

"Be careful!" Marinette tells them as she runs off to get help. Adrien looks to Lucy who is still by his side as he fights off Hawkmoth.

"You need to get out of here Lucy! Don't worry about me!"

Lucy glares at him. "If you think for even a second I would just leave you behind like that then you're a bigger idiot than I thought." She runs over and grabs Clara Nightengale's microphone and chucks it Hawkmoths head, winding him momentarily. The villain charges toward the two and Adrien quickly pushes Lucy out of the way and uses his umbrella to fight back, only for it to be knocked out of his hands before getting shoved to the ground himself. Hawkmoth goes to bring his came down on Adrien only to be stopped by Ladybug who pulls the boy out of the way.

"Go and find a safe place to hide, I'll handle this." She tells the two. Adrien grabs Lucy's hand and they make a run for it. As they approach the elevator Lucy stops.

"Wait, Alya and Nino. They were playing with Manon. We need to find them."

Adrien nodded. As much as he didn't like the idea of them operating, he needed to transform.

"Alright. Let's split up. We can cover more ground that way. Watch your back." Lucy nodded and ran off down the hall and Adrien go into the elevator and transformed. Upon getting back to Ladybug, Chat watches in amazement as Ladybug wraps her yo-yo around Hawkmoth.

"Whoa! You've captured Hawkmoth!"

"I wish!" Pulling her yo-yo Hawkmoth then falls to pieces.

"Ohh, a wax statue."

"The Puppeteer is back! She must be here somewhere!"

"We gotta find and save her!"

"The Hero's Room! That's where she found Hawk Moth's statue!" Ladybug told him and Chat bowed in a gentlemanly manner.

"After you, m'lady." They run down the hall towards the hero's room and Chat notices Lucy standing in the main area and calls her name.

"Lucy!"

"Chat! Wait, look out!" Ladybug warns and the heroes dodge shots from Bubbler and Lady Wifi who have now trapped one another. Chat frowns as he examines the pause button on Lucy's chest.

"Can't leave you alone for a second can I?" He asks. Though he is pretty sure she can't hear him.

Ladybug wraps up a Puppeteer statue with her yo-yo, then lets it go. "It's not her, it's a statue! Look," She says pointing. "the real Puppeteer had a wand, remember?"

"Then this Puppeteer must've taken it. That's where the Akuma must be!" Chat adds.

The statues suddenly start moving and surround them

".Okay, who wants to play red light, green light?" Chat jokes. "Guitar Villain" and "Dark Cupid" attack Ladybug. Chat Noir fights a "mummy" from The Pharaoh. "Nobody's up for hopscotch, either?"

"Enough jokes, Kitty— " Ladybug says in annoyance. "There's a little girl at stake!" Chat Noir hits "Rogercop", Ladybug slices "Darkblade."

"You see what I have to deal with Lucy?" Chat says as he decapitates "Timebreaker" which feels almost morbid to do right in front of Lucy. "Ah, who am I kidding. You'd be saying the same thing. Always keeping me grounded." He boops Lucy's nose. "Love you."

"How do you do that...? Ah!" Ladybug asks as she dodges an attack from "Pixelator".
Chat Noir, fending an attack from "Rogercop" asks. "Do what?"

"Lucy means so much to you, how is it so easy for you to say these nice things to her, even in the worse situations?" Ladybug slices the "mummy". "The really important things are the hardest to say, aren't they?"

Chat Noir smiles confidently as he breaks "Rogercop's" visor. "It's precisely when something is important, that it's important to say it, no matter what. It's always necessary."
Ladybug smiles, then sees "Thomas Astruc's" head, some eyeballs, and a couple of hands coming down the stairs.

"The workshop— She's gotta be there!" She bolts in that direction, jumping over "Astruc's" head as she exits. Chat follows behind but "The Mime" lassos Chat Noir who trips and falls. He is pinned down by "Darkblade," "Reflekta," and "Evillustrator." "Astruc" sucks on his finger, trying to get Chat Noir's ring.

" Ahh, that's so gross! Ah!"

Looking upward he brings his eyes to the frozen Lucy. "It's not what it looks like."

"Kung Food", "Princess Fragrance," and "Volpina" all land on top of him.

Getting out of that situation took some work, but Chat Noir isn't so easy to take down. Soon, he's broken apart all the statues who opposed him.

"Cleaning done! It deserves a little scratch under the chin before going up, right?" He jokes to Ladybug. Instead, she takes his hands in her and closes the space between them both, closing her eyes and puckering her lips. Chat leans back slightly, taken off guard by his partner's action but the smell of wax quickly filled his nose.

"Cataclysm." He says, destroying the Ladybug statue. He readjusted his ring and his eyes found Lucy again. He walks up to her, bringing a hand to her cheek.

"You stay here now." He smiles and pecks a kiss on her forehead before running up the stairs to help Ladybug.

OoOoOoOoO

After everything was back to normal Veronique and Theo placed Adrien's statue beside his father's. Adrien wondered over to Lucy as the group began to make their exit, noticing her blue helmet in her hand.

"I guess I don't need to offer you a ride." He said. Lucy smiled.

"Nah, I got one. Even if I didn't, I think the Agreste uber share is a little full." Adrien nodded and scratched the back of his head. He looked back towards Marinette who stood talking to Alya and Nino, with Manon at her side.

"I still feel like I messed up, Lu."

Lucy put a hand on Adrien's shoulder and leaned in toward his face. The boy flushed slightly at the closeness.

"Just talk to her Adrien. Everything is gonna be fine." The blonde girl then gave his shoulder one last squeeze before heading over to her moped, making sure to wave goodbye to her friends as she did so. As everyone piled in the car, Marinette gave her one last uncertain glance. All Lucy did was smile and wink at her before driving off.

OoOoOo

When the time came, Marinette found herself alone in the car with Adrien. Uncomfortable was putting it lightly.

"I'm sorr—!" Both teens said together.
Marinette sighed. "You go first."

"No, please, you." Adrien insisted.

Marinette swallowed. Maybe this was it, maybe this was the moment.

It is always necessary.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kissed the statue, but I didn't know it was you, and if I had, it wouldn't have been a prank because I—"

"No, no... It's my fault." Adrien interrupted. "When you left the workshop, I was so worried that you were mad at me...? It made me do the stupid prank, and..."

"Of course I wasn't mad at you! I'm sorry that I made you believe that." Marinette apologized. She never wanted Adrien to believe she thought he was anything other than wonderful.

"Is that true? We're still friends, you and me?" Adrien asked.

"Of course!" Marinette told him. "But, to be safe, maybe we should stop playing pranks on each other."

Adrien laughs. "I know, I'm not good with jokes. The girl I'm in love with doesn't like them either."

"The girl that you—? You're... you're in love with...?" Marinette repeated.

Adrien gave her a crooked smile. "Yeah, You know, Lucy." He shrugged bashfully. "I mean she doesn't hate them but she definitely makes fun of me for them." Marinette shrunk down in her seat. She had known Adrien liked Lucy, but to hear him openly admit he is in love with her...The question she supposed, that would always come to mind when you loved someone and had to let them go, there will always be that small part of yourself that whispers, What was it that they wanted and why wasn't it me?

"Are you okay, Marinette?" Adrien asked, his smile fading slightly.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm glad we're friends." Marinette told him as they pulled up to her house.

"See you tomorrow at school?"

"Yeah... " Marinette gets out of the car and closes the door, wandering up into her room dejectedly. Laying in her bed she gazed up at the photos she had of Adrien on her wall and sighed as Tikki came out of hiding.

"You heard him. Adrien's in love with Lucy, and me? I'm just a friend."

She had to get over him. For weeks now, a stone had been sitting on her heart. She'd shed a lot of tears over him, lost a lot of sleep, eaten a lot of cake batter. Somehow, she had to move on. Life would be hell if she didn't shake loose from the grip he had on my heart. She most definitely didn't want to keep feeling this way, alone in a love affair meant for two. Even if he'd felt like The One. Even if She'd always thought they'd end up together. Even if he still had a choke chain on her heart

"I'm sure life has many more surprises left in store for you Marinette!" Tikki said in comfort. "What is and what will be are in a constant state of change! Nothing is set in stone."

Marinette smiled at Tikki. "Maybe you're right Tikki, who knows what the future holds?"

She kept her photos up, despite the feeling that it very well might be time to take them down. After all, only time would tell.

Hey look at that, I got another chapter out all willy nilly. Well, I hope you liked it and remember to heart and vote, and comment and yadda yadda. I do love reading your thoughts!

Chow for now!
