They will finally meet next chapter! Not characters just my imagination
A pile of soggy cardboard take out boxes sat outside motel door number 17. There was pizza, Chinese, Indian, and a half ripped opened box of burritos that some critter had helped himself to. Bella stopped bringing in the deliveries after the fourth knock on her door. Alice had ordered everything she could find within her delivery radius to try to entice Bella to eat something. Even though she knew the chances of Bella eating anything was almost non-existent.
"Gosh, Alice did you mistake Bella for Emmett when you ordered her food?" Rose asked.
"Well, she didn't eat any of it," Alice sighed. On the flight over Alice had a a vision of Bella gaging at the smell of a burger and fry and then one of her letting them food like up while she sat staring at a shut-off tv.
"At least she can still smell," Edward grumbled having seen Alice's vision as it came. "Are we absolutely sure she's positive?"
"I will test her, Edward. But you saw what Alice saw, son." Carlisle said sadly.
The trip to Florida was agonising for all of them. It didn't help that Florida was much too sunny when they arrived and so they had to wait it out inside the airport until sunset. Not an easy thing to do durning a pandemic where everything was set up to get people in and out quickly.
Eventually the Cullens made their way to reunite with Bella at her dingy motel room. If vampires could sweat from nerves then all of them would of been drenched. Edward especially was nearing meltdown status. He knew his family were not going to allow him into Bella's room right away. They had already taken orders from him about Bella once and they were no longer willing to differ to his judgement on issues that had to do with Bella Swan. Edward couldn't blame them. Understanding his family's position did nothing to stop his compulsive yearning though. Edward yearned to rush into Bella's room, sweep her off her feet and kiss every inch of her face. In fact Edward had yearned for Bella every second of every day since he left her in the woods. It was an ache that caused even the constant burn for human blood that all vegetarian vampires had to feel wimpy and trivial.
"Alice, Jasper and Esme will go in first," Carlisle explained to everyone in the motel parking lot. "Rosalie and me are going to the hospital to check on Renees status and get some supplies for Bella, a couple of testing kits and some ppe that matches that hospital at the very least. I'll need Rosie in case I need to charm any male security or doctors on site. I've got an identity all sorted for that hospital but it's still a bit weird to be showing up there out of the blue like this. Now, Emmett you have a very important job."
"Let me guess, watch Edward and keep him away until he is asked to go up?" Emmett asked.
Carlisle nodded as Edward tugged at his hair and rolled his eyes in utter frustration.
"Not a problem," Emmett smiled, cracking his knuckles.
"Ok then, let's go try and right this wrong at last," Carlisle sighed giving Esme a kiss before getting back into one of their two large rental suvs.
"Edward try not to break the car while you wait," Alice smirked.
"Just hurry up Alice," Edward growled, "Emmett isn't as strong as you think he is."
Together, Alice, Jasper, and Esme walked up to the food littered door that had Bella pacing tracks behind it as she waited nervously. It was finally time to bring Bella Swan home.
