Covid moon chapter 8

Bella bumped into the corner of the motel bed for the 50th time, this motel wasn't big enough for a clumsy person pacing.

Edward was coming.

After all this time, Edward was coming.

Vampires are able to be deathly silent so Bella didn't expect to hear them coming, but she did. Alice, Jasper, abs Esme went out of their way to make a little noise as they walked to Bella's door and sifted through the elaborate take out spread Alice had sent over.

Edward could hear Bella's heart skip a beat the second Alice knocked on the door.

"Bella, it's me. Can we come in?" Alice asked softly.

"She is full of emotions right now," Jasper whispered, "mainly nerves and excitement."

Bella took of the chain lock on the door and sat on the bed, waiting for them to come in. Her stomach instantly dropped when she saw that Edward wasn't actually standing at her door and the emotions that poured off of her nearly physically threw Jasper back into the wall.

Grief, shame, foolishness echoed around the room quickly and then was promptly replaced with red raw rage.

"I should of know," Bella scowled. "Why didn't I know? Why do I alway think he loves me?"

"Bella, dear" Esme said as she cautiously approached the bed, "it's so good to see-"

"No!" Bella yelled. "You tricked me didn't you? You told me he was coming just so I would say yes. Why do you even care? You left me so easily just like he did… why are you even here? You should all just FUCKING leave!"

"Bella!" Alice gasped.

"Just… just go I will not be made a fool of anymore," Bella begged trying hard to fight back tears and failing miserably.

Outside glass could be heard breaking though Bella didn't seem to even notice it. Alice sighed and said, "I did this wrong. Don't stop him Em."

Half a second later Edward was barging through the tiny motel room, coming to a halt on the floor in front of Bella's clenched close eyes.

"Everyone out." Edward ordered, causing Bella to squeeze her eyes shut tighter.

Edward stayed crouched in front of Bella silently taking her in. He observed ever inch of her, breathing as deeply as he could to enjoy the burn of her scent. And as painful as it still was to smell her Edward did enjoy it.

Bella was beautiful. She had always been so but 8 years of experience and growth had only made the girl into that much more of a beautiful woman. Her hair was slightly longer and had been dyed a shade or two darker. Her body was plumper. Her breast fuller. Her skin held the finest of lines on her forehead that could not be seen by a human eye, but Edward could see them. The lines were made worse though by the continuation of the scrunching of her eyes that Bella seemed determined to keep up.

"Bella, open your eyes. I am right here," Edward finally said.

Bella shook her head and whispered, "you're probably not even real just like all the times before."

Edward reached out and gently smoothed the creases in her forehead, sending a jolt of cold electricity through the both of them and causing Bella to open her eyes.

"Well there are those pretty brown eyes I've been fantasising about for the last 8 years…finally," Edward smiled.

"Fuck you Edward Cullen!" Bella seethed.
