Should I add a ship to this fic? It think it might be a decent idea

"Hey! Black! Watcha doing?" Asked the golden guard as he barged into Basil's room
"Making a potion" said Basil as he sat next to a cauldron in hiss black guard outfit "you know it helps me relax"
"Well, since you're not that busy, I heard some interesting things recently" said Gold cheerfully
"Probably not as interesting as that human from covention" Said Basil not looking away from the cauldron
"Nope, it's much much more interesting" said Gold cheerfully "apparently, at Hexside there's a 10 year old potion prodigy that can absorb the spells of others to use them for spells, sound familiar?"
"...indeed it does" said Basil calmly
"You said your mom left you at 6, the kid's ten, do you think your parents had another kid while you weren't looking?"
"Perhaps" said Basil calmly
"You don't care?" Asked Gold curiously
"I keep my expectations low" said Basil as he started working on the potion again "plus, i have stuff to do"
"No you don't, i know your schedule" said Gold cheerfully leaning unto a wall
"I'm doing personal stuff" said Basil tiredly as he worked on a potion
"Hey! I know! How about we go on a vacation together?" Asked Gold cheerfully
"Do i have to?" Asked Basil
"I mean, that could be arranged" said Gold as he pulled out his staff and dropped Basil outside the room using magic
"Fine, you win" said Basil bitterly "you jerk"
The two then walked through the halls of the castle, to inform the emperor of their oddly timed vacation
The emperor allowed it nonchalantly
Then on the way out of the castle, they saw Lilith at the end of a corridor
"Oh shoot, do you have a napkin or something?" Asked Basil coverings the hole in his mask that went over his mouth
"Because of Lilith?" Asked Gold curiously
"nevermind, she's already here"
Lilith very much disliked the two guards, the golden one was because of his immaturity, in her eyes he was a brat who was only favoured because he was a teen prodigy
The black one, she hated things about him yes, but there was one thing that absolutely infuriated her
How he acted around her, like she's some sort disgusting creature, always covering his the hole in his mask leading to his mouth, even almost vomiting one time, but he didn't do anything next to the emperor
And when she saw the two guards walking together, and more specifically the black one covering the mask hole leading to his mouth, she did her best to ask without snapping
"Why do you always do that when I'm around?" Yelled Lilith frowning "why do you always act like I'm some sort of disgusting creature?!"
"Are we assuming you're not?" Asked Basil sarcastically "because that changes some things"
The golden guard started laughing hysterically while Lilith was angered further
But before Lilith could do anything, Basil spoke
"Look Lilith it's not personal at all, but you wanna know the reason why I do this?" said Basil pointing at his hand covering his mask "simple, you stink"
The golden guard continued laughing
"What did you say?" Said Lilith frowning
"My sense of smell is much better than everyone in this castle combined, and there's this awful smell that's always on you and I mean always" said Basil bluntly "I just close my mouth when the Emperor's around but I still need my sense of smell so I just cover it when he's not around"
"Well, something has to be wrong with your nos_"
"I smell with my tongue and another organ in my mouth" Basil corrected her
"Tongue, something must be wrong with your tongue, because I don't stink" said Lilith angrily
"Oh my titan! How could my tongue grow up to be such a hateful being to this one specific person?!" Replied Basil sarcastically and dramatically "after I raised him so well too"
The golden guard was laughing harder that ever before
"Anyway, I have to go, good luck in your hunt for the owl lady" said Basil cheerfully "c'mon you big jerk, let's go"
Basil then dragged the golden guard who was still laughing on the floor

"How did you get us a ship again?" Asked Basil in confusion still wearing his costume
"Emperor's coven" said Gold bluntly
"I admit, sometimes, Lilith is right" said Basil tiredly "you are a brat"
"Hey!"
"Hello, I believe you two are the ones we're sailing with" said the crab like captain as he approached the two "...uhm, are you two gonna keep those outfits on?"
"The costume stays on during sea time" said Basil tiredly
Then they boarded the ship, and set sail,
After a while
Basil stood at the edge of the ship admiring the boiling sea, gold approached him
"You know? I was doubting this idea but now that I feel the warm boiling breeze, I'm_" said Basil before the ship shook making Basil fall into the water
The captain saw that and his jaw fell in shock
The golden guard laughed a little before speaking
"Don't worry about him, he's fine"
And as if on que Basil jumped out of the water, back unto the ship
"How was the water around these parts?" Asked Gold cheerfully
"A bit too hot for my liking" said Basil nonchalantly
"Just the steam from around these parts can give a normal person 3rd degree burns" said the captain in confusion
"Well, it's was pretty relaxing if you ignore the giant serpent below this ship" said Basil nonchalantly
"Serpent?" Asked the captain in confusion
Then they saw it, a giant serpent with wings and a goose's head
"Gasp it's the serpenduck!" Said the captain in shock
"That's a goose" said Gold in confusion
"Yeah, but the first guys to see it thought it was a duck, and serpenduck sounds much better than serpengoose" replied the captain
"Fair" replied Basil
"We thought it was a joke, but_"
"Doesn't matter, it's trying to kill us, now it's survival of the fittest" Basil cut him off
The two guard fought the creature, defeating it with ease, but before they could land the final blow
They saw the serpenduck's children approaching their injured mother, they stopped abruptly
But then began again when the mother started attacking them again but now with her children helping
They eradicated all the serpenducks, and kept the head of the mother as trophy
