The Castle loft 7:30 pm

Alexis just had returned from a long week program with her friend Paige. When she saw that her cellphone was almost dead. She charged it up; then was fixing her dinner. When she was eating, she was missing her dad very much. She could understand why her dad had to leave New York. She was hoping that he would come home safe and sound. But she was done with her food, was looking out the window at the big city. Then she saw that she had a voice message from her dad. After hearing it; there was something in her dad voice that break her heart. Alexis wasn't sure what to do. Then was wondering if she should leave home and go to Los Angeles to see her dad.

Her mind was made up; she was packing her stuff. Just had a feeling that her dad needed her right now. She was calling the car service when there was a knock at the door. She wasn't expecting anybody at her home today. After she was walking up to the door. "What are you doing here Detective Beckett?" She saw that the detective looked worst for wear. She had dark circles underneath her eyes; she looked like she age the last ten years. Beckett was wearing her hair in a very messy bun and she was wearing a shirt and jeans.

"I'm sorry, for coming by uninvited, but I really need to talk to your dad. Is he home?" Her voice sounded filled with dread.

"He's not here Detective, he left New York." Alexis told her; trying to get her to leave so she could go be with her dad.

"Do you know where he went?" She was hoping to get some answers as to where Castle was at.

"No, I haven't seen him; I been gone to a college program the whole time." Alexis really wanted her gone so that she could be gone before her Grandma got back home.

Kate looked down as the tears came to her eyes. "Look Detective, I'm really tried I really like it if you left right now." She turned back to the elevator left without a word. Alexis don't mean to hurt Kate feelings but she really needed to get to her dad as soon as possible. She finished up packing, when she left her Grandma a letter telling her that dad needs her right now. After that Alexis had gotten a call that the car service was there and waiting for her. When she got in the car; telling them to get her to the airport as soon as possible. When they got there Alexis had book her one way ticket to Los Angeles on the next flight.

Early the next morning

Candice office 10:45 am

Candice was looking at several mag shots of suspects that could be Amy killer or killer's. But she couldn't shake this feeling that she was having all day. She was drinking her ice coffee that was so very good that she a long slip of it. Then she takes a bit of her donut. She was looking through their files. Only three suspects stood out to her; she was hoping that after Rick phone meeting with black pawn was going well. Candice could hear a knock on her office door. "Just a second, I'll be right there." When she opened up her office door and saw who it was. "Alexis, what are you doing here?" She knew whose daughter this was cause one day he showed her pictures of his little girl.

Alexis was surprised that this woman know her name. "How do you know my name?"

"You're dad has told me so much about you. He was trying to get a hold of you; but we had a hard case were trying to solve. He saw how old our victim was; he was thinking about you. How he would feel if he lost you. She was only a year older then you." Candice explained to her; "I can see how much you're dad cares about you. He was trying to call you and see if you were safe and sound." Candice then step aside, so that Alexis could come inside the office.

Alexis stepped inside the office and take a sit with her bags. Both ladies are staring at each other as Candice pulled out a cold bottle of water out of her small fridge. "Thanks." Both of them sit in total silence as Alexis is the first to speak breaking the silence. "So, my dad and you look to have gotten very close in no time."

Candice was looking at the floor, she could see that Rick daughter was weird for her dad. "Your dad and I have become friends really fast." She could see how Alexis was taking the information from her. "We both can understand each other to get justice for the victims. This case really hit your dad the wrong way. He was so weird about you that he was trying to call you. Even just to hear you're voice for just a few seconds or minutes."

Alexis had tears in her eyes; her dad always worried about her. "I should have answered my cellphone. I just was in a hurry to do so much with my life. That I forgot about my dad. He need me; I couldn't take the time to answer my phone. He just wanted to talk to me." Alexis had her hands on her face that she was crying in them.

Candice was getting up from her seat behind the desk. She take Alexis into her arms was comforting her as best she could.

Alexis tossed her arms around her; she was sobbing loudly in the lady arms.

Rick had arrived back with food when he saw someone very familiar in Candice arms crying. Then when he saw the red hair; he was walking around to see who it was. "Alexis, what are you doing here?"
