Apricots
Chapter 3
Captain Kate Beckett after finishing up at the Broadwalk of the harbor. She headed for the autopsy bay of the precinct with Doctor Gerald Dennison working on the body of Susan Moore found by the jogger. Doctor Dennison with his assistant Jose was knee-deep in trying to search for the answer as to who killed the woman.
One thing for sure the woman was three months pregnant and including having to be a diabetic with medical records were sent having to work for the Nexus sex club for a year.
When Captain Beckett arrived with parking her vehicle in the underground parking lot of the precinct. She had taken the elevator down to the autopsy bay to find the doctor and his assistant working. She had opened the double doors to say the following.
"What do you have Doctor Dennison?" she coughed slightly with seeing the woman's chest opened with the equipment to hold it back to search for answers.
"Susan Moore was three months along with Captain, along with being a diabetic for the most part. The switchblade had done the damage with the third vertebra and with killing her along with the metallic rope to choke the woman to death as well." he takes in a deep sigh.
"Damn! I am wondering whether the killer knew that she was pregnant at all?" Beckett barked back with her feet were beginning to hurt her.
"Don't know Captain. Your department will have to find the killer to find out?" he inquired with the question.
"Anything else?" she will say.
"At the moment no. I will be writing up my report before Doctor Syndey Perlmutter arrives from the hospital from his shift.
"Please let me know whether you're able to come up with something else Doctor?" she said with moving towards the double doors.
Moving outside into the chill air. Her cell phone had been going off with a text as she takes a look to be her husband Castle.
She smiles mostly in spite of the fact the morning had been a never-ending situation. She takes a look at the text...
"Will be on TV tonight for E.T. tonight at Seven o'clock in regard to the new book. Will call you later. How's the case going? Love, Rick.
She was going to try and watch the show and his interview. She had another voicemail from the office of the Commissioner telling her that she was needed at his office for a meeting at this time.
She shook her head in disgust for the most part. She had a feeling it had something to do with the murder this morning with the female body of Susan Moore a member of the Nexus Sex Club. She called the number with the secretary of his office answering. She had been able to tell her that she was on her way over to the office.
She headed for the underground parking lot...
NEXUS SEX CLUB
Shows were going on throughout the entire club.
Bunny and her co-workers had been doing a bang-up job of thrilling the crowd on all three of the levels. Bunny was concentrating on what she had to do.
After what she had been through with the CEO Billy Norris raping her in the dressing room. She needed to get out somehow before someone else gets hurt in the process.
One spectator in the crowd was a secret admirer Doctor Gerald Dennison calling earlier. He had finished up his surgery with a patient needing a valve replacement. He had been able to scrub and clean to leave the operating room with his assistant finishing with closing.
He had been enjoying the show especially with Bunny showing her all in every way. Once the show had finished for now with two more to go for the evening.
Doctor Dennison tried talking to her but she was being bombarded by other customers wanting her autograph among other things that he wasn't like at all...she was actually giving herself away now not caring a bit about the rape earlier.
It was at this point that he started to drink heavily with Rum and cokes. Sitting at a table watching another woman name Barbara another with Apricot nipples dancing on stage and with using of the poles.
Barbara had been with the club for three years and a mother of a three-year-old having to be divorced needing the money to pay her bills. During the day she was a nursery school teacher in the Bronx.
Doctor Dennison continued to drink along with ordering the Chicken wings and fries. However, for Bunny, she had gone to her quarters to rest. However when she reached her quarters and with going inside. She tried to turn on the lights when a metallic rope was wrapped around her neck before a switchblade was pushed into her back.
She had lost her battle at that point without anyone noticing or hearing a noise. Her body was dropped to the floor while the person that had killed her was able to leave through the window jumping down before heading down the alleyway...
City Hall Commissioner's office
Commissioner Joey Gordons had been waiting for Captain Kate Beckett to arrive for the meet with her and others. He was anxious to get this over with drinking black coffee his fourth of the day already and going against his doctor's orders.
"Joey don't you think drinking all that coffee is going to help matters?" Captain Solange of the 19 district precinct.
With the shake of his head. "I know that Jake. But I need to drink it nevertheless." he will say to his friend of 20 years.
There was a knock on the door when Gordons had gotten up to open the door. "I had gotten here as quickly as I can Commissioner." Beckett croaked out with her response.
"Come on inside so I can get started with the meeting," he says with some sarcasm with his demeanor.
She was able to settle into her chair with the brown briefcase on the side while taking out a yellow pad to write notes.
She nods her head to the other five in the office anxiously waiting for the meeting to begin. She had no idea what was in store for her and her detectives.
"Let me just say that there has been a rash of murders mostly three women from the Nexus sex club. There is pressure from the public and a number of other sources that want us to send an undercover team into the club to find out who is killing these women. "Captain Beckett you're going undercover along with two of your female detectives and along with Esposito and Ryan as bouncers."
"Why me sir?" she takes in a deep sigh and exhales from the question.
"Let's just say that you have the experience from past undercover cases Captain. It will be your job to show your dancing skills once again to find the killer, along with the other females in the Special Ops."
"Does the owner of the club know that we are coming in to work?" she exclaimed with asking.
With placing a hand on his chin for the moment. "I am afraid not since we have no idea whether he might be involved with the murders or any of the patron's Captain. Even though he had been asking for help in other ways looking for new employees with the loss of the three women having been murdered. Understand?" he makes mention.
"I am afraid I do Commissioner Gordons." she tried to relax in her chair with the others putting in their two cents for when it comes to the recent murders.
