Chapter 18
Lt. Alverez and Sergeant Anderson had gone back to their desks to see if they can come up with an idea on how to catch the suspect in the act.
"I just don't like this at all Jose in regard to the plan. It's going to be just too dangerous to catch the murderer of those sex club employees/dancers?" Anderson said with anger building.
Moving his seat to face his partner and friend. "I realize that Will, however, something needs to be done after we had bungled the job of following the possible suspect?" he hesitated with his comment.
"The only thing we can do now is going home to get some rest after this evening. Captain Anderson did tell us to leave to get some sleep," he noted with a deep sigh...
"Let's sign out and simply get out of here?" Sergeant Anderson will say with his ugly demeanor to head for the alcove to see the Captain talking with someone on the phone as he waited until he had finished.
It didn't take all that long with the waiting. After hanging up the phone. Captain Anderson looked up to see Sergeant Anderson. "Are you heading out to go home for the rest of the shift?" he was dauntless with his question.
"We are going with later we will be going to the sex club to see if the maintenance man Joey Madison had shown up," he said with a lower tone of voice.
"Be careful we don't really know whether he had been involved in the murders?" Captain Anderson needed to have said to his detective.
"We know sir and we will be careful when it comes to our movements," he instructed with his response turning to leave the alcove to take the elevator with the Lt. down to the lower lobby to head on home.
Apartment Complex
When Joey Madison had left the apartment. She never mention that she had a roommate working in the city for the 911 dispatch system. Jodie Wills had tried three times calling her roommate Samantha knowing that she was going to go out with a friend of hers.
Knowing that she hates to stay out later. Not knowing she will pick up a man at the bar.
Jodie had finished up her shift telling her supervisor that she needed to leave a little earlier than normal. He was able to understand by signing her out. She had taken the subway heading for the Bronx subway and taking a cab from there.
The Yellowcab driver had dropped her off at the apartment complex having paid the fare by credit card. Even though she had handed him a tip for his efforts.
Racing up the stairs with the rain having to stop completely now. She used her key in order to get inside the main entrance and by taking the elevator with the lighted hallways of the complex.
When she moved out of the elevator shrugging her shoulders. She had the key in her hand since she had been living here for the past five years. Placing the key into the lock she had opened the door with the one light on in the living room.
She had found this strange since the lights were always turned off when anyone leaves the apartment. She had looked around after dropping off her personal belongings when she noticed the blood on the rug as she followed the trail...
This is when she sees the body with the pool of blood and the horrible sight...SHE SCREAMS OUT NEEDING TO CALL 911 AND THE POLICE.
