While Castle had been in the ambulance. Twice they had to zap him with the paddles by the technician in order to start up his heart to be successful.
Finally, they had arrived at Manhattan medical center with Doctor McWilliams taking a look at Castle before sending him upstairs to the fifth floor operating room. They were going to be needing X -Rays on the shoulder and right leg for where both of the bullets had been located.
Moving him along to the elevator with Esposito, Ryan and Captain Anderson were told to head for the waiting room just off the section of the operation rooms for this particular floor.
Doctor Robbs anesthesiologist placed the oxygen mask over Castle's face to turn on the oxygen while the X-Rays had been developed with getting a clearer picture of the damage done.
In the scrubbing room with Doctor McWilliams and his assistant were going over the different options on how to go about removing the fragments.
Moving inside with placing their own masks to protect them. Both doctors walked towards the table with the patient while looking up into the gallery to be packed with the students, residents, and most of all the reporters had heard about Richard Castle having been brought in with gunshot wounds with his life in danger ...
Meanwhile Katherine Beckett after talking with Martha, who was a real wreck as well in regard to her son Richard. She needed an update all of the time.
Beckett after parking her car into the emergency room parking lot and speaking to the security officer at the main desk. She had flashed her badge to him and where to wait for any further news on her husband. In spite of all of the fighting of late with him.
Maybe she was right in some ways that they separate again. But this time she has a feeling it's the end of the road for her in many ways...
Reaching the eighth-floor waiting room. She was able to meet up with the undercover team and including Captain Anderson staying for a little while longer.
"Have you heard anything from the operating room?" she will ask Esposito.
Moving off the green couch to say to her. "Not one word Captain Beckett. I am hoping that it's not too late for Castle this time with his injuries hitting the major artery of his right leg?"
"OMG! I just can't believe this as to why he was so stupid with pulling off this stunt?" she cries out in disgust...
