Welcome back and enjoy.
The night market was a place where any witch or demon could get their hands on anything they needed for the right price as Luz, Lilith, and Eda walked around with cloaks. "Getting deja vu sister?" Eda asked as Lilith was silent as they passed a few cons selling fake amulets, potions being sold for ten times the usual price, and a few books that were getting their titles changed for other stories.
Lilith then pulled out a map as she looked at it. "Alright, parchments and scrolls should be nearby." "Uh, I think I found it," Luz said as she approached a tent that was covered in papers, maps, and hanging scrolls. "Ah, typical thievery protection spell, it makes the object stuck to where it is unless it's paid for," Eda said as Lilith then saw and rung a bell.
After waiting a few minutes and Eda constantly ringing the bell over and over until the owner walked in holding their ears. "Alright, alright I'm here!" The owner was a witch who was wearing all black robes and a purple bandana covering his face as he looked to be in their late 50's early 60's.
"So what are you buying?" "What happened to the last owner of this place?" Lilith asked the man who simply responded "Petrified." Eda then pulled out a sack of snails and placed it on the table as Lilith looked at the scrolls. "Slitherbeast, Baskilisk, fairy, and Palismin?" Lilith said in confusion as Luz looked at the maps and noticed a few locations were similar to the Bolling Isles and her world. "Uh excuse me but what's with the maps?"
The man responded, "Just a few locations where the previous owner marked a few creatures." Luz then separated the maps from the Isles and the human world as she looked at them. "New Jersey? no, West Virginia? not even close, You two wouldn't have to know what it looked like?"
Both Clawthone sisters thought for a bit as they talked. "Well large with fur, spikes." "Don't forget those large fangs and a deformed spine."
"Wait I'm pretty sure my Mama once told me about something like that when she was around my age." Luz then pulled out a map of her the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Mexico. "Excuse me but uh... do you how they got these maps and why?" "1000."
"A thousand snails are you..." "Eda please..." The owl lady facepalmed before pulling out another sack of snails as the merchant continued. "From what I know they would sometimes travel and imprison what you humans call "Myths and Legends." they managed to do it with a bit of strong magic and then simply mark it as a curse when used basically sends the creature's soul into them."
Eda then pulled out a large sack of snails from her hair. "Ok enough just tell us how to get rid of.." Eda stopped a loud horn was blown as the three of them saw several coven guards and carriages as they started arresting everyone at the market and confiscating things. "Darn, ok sir just..." Eda was now talking to a wall as both the merchant and the store had vanished. "How did..." "Ow ow ow!"
Luz began holding her stomach in pain as Lilith pulled out an elixir from her satchel only for an arrow to shatter it. "Hold it right there!" A coven guard yelled as the two sisters then lifted Luz before getting on their respective staff and flying away. "Hey, how come we don't get those?" "Shut up steve." And Steve did.
The two sisters flew with Eda holding Luz who was holding her stomach. "So hungry..." She said as Eda saw that Luz's teeth were getting sharper and fur grew. "Lily." "I can't fly and make an Elixer at the same time!" "You only brought one!?"
Eda yelled as Luz screamed as her nails and toes began turning into claws as they crash-landed into the house. "How was the trip, Hoot Hoot?" "SHUT IT HOOTY!" The two sisters yelled as Luz then quickly started licking Elixir from the cauldron.
"Now I'm going to have to wash that about ten times," Eda said as Lilith noticed that Luz was still changing as she looked at the cauldron. "I need roots, tea leaves, and pepper!" Eda then went to the kitchen and shouted "Green or mint?" "It doesn't matter Edalyn!"
Lilith told her as Eda rushed back to the living room with the ingredients as she dropped it all into the cauldron. "Not all of it that'll make it..." BOOM! the potion then exploded and evaporated into nothingness as Luz then fainted. "Well, at least she's normal again," Eda said as Lilith screamed as she kicked the cauldron in a fit of rage breaking her toe.
Soon after a few days, Luz rested while Lilith sat on the couch with a cast on her foot while Eda was helping them. "Well, there's no sign of you turning so that's good." "Still it could still happen any time," Luz said as Lilith was drawing a sketch of the creature that Luz became as she showed it to the human. "I think I'm going to be sick..." "Kid you've seen me turn into an owl and that freaks you out?"
"It's a freaking chupacabra for crying out loud!" Luz said as the two witches looked confused "A what now?" "(Sigh) It's a myth of Hispanic culture from what everyone says it's a strange dog-like monster that eats livestock and has a strong liking for goats drinking the blood hence the name "Goatsucker" ."
"Wow, that sounds more terrifying than the owl beast," King said as Eda shushed him away. "Ok well, now thanks to Edalyn it'll be a while till anyone of us can get Elixir and considering how many snails we just spent it'll be expensive to buy it," Lilith said as the door was knocked followed by Hooty screaming as Eda opened the door to see Amity standing outside with a stack of books.
"Oh, Blight," Eda said as Amity spoke "Owl Lady, I'm here to..." "Blah blah just cut to the chase don't have all day." "Is Luz ok? I and her friends haven't seen her at school so the school thought you took her out and I was wondering if she could use a tutor?" "Excuse me."
Eda then slammed the door and rushed to Luz. "Hey uh, we have a situation outside." "The Emperor's coven?" "Worse, your little minty friend is outside." Luz then simply fainted.
