Chapter 42
AUTOPSY BAY...
Doctor Syndey Perlmutter had been busy with the autopsy on Flowers with her body laying on the table with her entire chest opened up.
It was an interesting autopsy so far with his assistant Gerald to fine blonde hairs on the body and clothing. Gerald sent off the hairs to the lab to find out whether it was a woman's or a man's hair.
The lab was as well working on the blood samples as well that was taken out of the body. While Doctor Perlmutter didn't like the fact that the woman Flowers was pregnant at least six weeks. Taking a breather for the moment when he was the elevator door opening to be Captain Kate Beckett with her hair up in a bun and her face with very little make-up.
"Captain, is there anything you need right now?" he will allude to why she is here in the first place.
"Are you serious Doctor? There is a possible chance that we have a copycat killer on the loose." she makes mention with anger in her demeanor.
"No doubt Captain and I will be damn to even say anything about it to the public before we have a panic on our hands?" he was yearning for the moment.
"I tend to agree with you on that account Doctor Perlmutter." she snapped back with the response.
"I will be in the office later. I expect to have an updated report on the body?" she moved out of the autopsy bay to head for the gym needing to blow off some steam.
She had her go-bag in the trunk of her vehicle liked she used to do years ago. She was angry as hell as if her entire life was going to be crashing down on her.
Racing out of the parking lot of the medical examiner's office to head five blocks away at Jim's gym that is opened 24/7.
There were only four cars in the parking lot currently with the early morning arising. Pulling out her go-bag with fresh clothing.
Pulled opened the double door to head for the locker room for the ladies to change into her gym shorts and blouse to do some boxing to relieve some of the tension in her body.
Tying the boxing gloves given to her by one of the workers as she warmed up first before starting with the glove hanging down from the ceiling.
Taking in a deep sigh she began to punch out the bag with a lot of energy with both of her hands. She wasn't holding back at all need to punch out someone.
This continued for another 30 minutes before moving into the showers to wash up the sweat from her body before drying off and dressing. Afterward, she was going to be stopping off at the deli near the precinct to buy coffee and a double eggs and bacon sandwich before starting her day in the office.
